Impending launch of Zcash will supercharge XMR. Theres demand for anoncoins and space for more than one.
Is Zcash not another alt coin? I thought it was a competitor like Dash... why would it supercharge XMR?

I am looking at 1 hr chart on bitcoinwisdom. To me it appears bullish and now just stability (pretty bullish triangle starting from 19th or 20th of August). The coming hours will show us to which direction to go. I might be wrong, and my speculation do not affect on my trading because I simply hold, but I am inclined to think the coming months are good for Monero. I am 99 % sure the DNM acceptance will not harm the adaption of Monero. Therefore, if you think in the same manner and happen to want to sell some of your coins, may I suggest you to get the best price possible and put the coins for sale instead of dumping with slippage discount. Eventually the dark market customers will buy those coins - sooner or later and vendors most likely just hold as many Moneros as possible because of privacy reasons.
Imo, future potential due to DNM adoption... huge. But it might take time to see that demand creep up to the price. The 400%-700% over the last week was purely based on speculation and hype. So in short term the price has room to retrace a lot. XMR doesn't even have a GUI yet. How much XMR will actually be used is yet to be seen. I think the whole Alt market is overbought right now due to BTC stability and that will switch very soon. BTC doesn't stay boring for long, once it rises again the alt coins are going to drop again. But if you're just holding it shouldn't matter... I think a market cap of 500M for XMR is fair game, just how soon I don't know

Yeah, what you thought is basically correct. The depth is the amount of BTC/XMR at or below the price point you picked (0.01706968 BTC). Depth works the same way for the green part, except the green is the Buy orders, while the red is sell orders. I know this sounds like a dumb question coming from a lLegendary member lol but I've only been a holder of bitcoin, starting to get into trading
Not really, since not everyone is a trader or has even used an exchange. Being Legendary on a bitcoin forum doesn't imply that you are experienced in altcoin exchanges. On the other hand, if this was a altcoin exchange forum, than it would be a dumb question. Thank you friend. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) One more thing.... does the size of the red side vs the green side tell you anything? If the green (buy) side is much larger then there is more buy pressure and more likely that prices will stay or rise higher? Or can you not come to that conclusion with market depth Thanks

Monero was pumped the last few days, and soon it will fall again, like all the other coins before. And like all the other coins before, it will not recover from that event, because in peoples mind it will have the branding of an already used coin. One pump, one dump. For every coin. So no. No monero will ever be worth 100$ because the pump phase will not last that long.
Legit coins have multiple pumps.... LTC had several, so did ETH and BTC and tons of others. You think this is the only pump XMR will ever have? The only question is timing.... the next pump could happens months later or it could happen by the end of this week

At the point where my mouse is hovering.... what do these #s mean: Sum (XMR): 110602 Sum (BTC): 1793 Does this mean that for the XMR price to reach 0.017, the market needs to buy 110602 XMR that is worth 1793 BTC? I know this sounds like a dumb question coming from a lLegendary member lol but I've only been a holder of bitcoin, starting to get into trading

PC specs:
Nvidia 980 GTX Intel Core i5‑4690K 3.5 GHz 16GB RAM
Maybe XMR is not worth mining... but what about AEON? About how much would I make per day?

I wasn't aware you could get actual legit medications on DNMs. I may have to look into doing that.
I wouldn't call any penis enlargement medication "legit"

![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) Just put 10 btc in each... hodling for longer term (months)... what do you guys think?? 20 BTC down the drain? ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) I vote for balls of steel. I can't say for certain what will the future bring (if I'd know I'd be already rich, isn't it?), but there's a good chance the one could double and the other not die off completely and then at least you would not lose. I hope you afford to lose those 20 BTC if the things go bad. It is a small fortune... agreed! dont invest more than you can afford to lose ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) monero would be great a few days ago ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) A little bit more than a few days, but it's true. At the end of December 2015 Monero was (according to coinmarketcap.com) 0.45$ If you would have spent then 10 BTC on Monero, now you'd be dancing. Some do. I'm trying to find that type of WIN... but back then it would have been more of a gamble

Any speculation for Sept 1?
It seems like the price is being suppressed around 015 - 016, from going either up or down. Until Sept 1 everyone is riding the hype train so there is probably a lot of resistance on pushing the price down. Some whales might also think it can easily surpass 02 and beyond so they may be pressuring the price from rising further at the moment.
Come Sept 1... if we dont see much XMR volume in Alpha/Oasis then I'm guessing we are likely to see an epic dump.
how will you check xmr-volume in alpha/oasis? best regards I have no idea lol, I thought the sites could determine the # of transactions happening in XMR? If they announce anything remotely disappointing about XMR not meeting the # of transactions or utility as assumed then I can certainly see the start of a dip. When a coin pumps 500%+ it only needs one excuse to come tumbling down

after all, XMR is fungible, BTC is not...
For you last question: Wouldn't you have regretted that, when btc went back to $2, you sold on the way down (cuz you wouldn't want to be holding btc), and didn't buy back...
best regards
Yes I would have regretted it. What do you mean by BTC isnt fungible? It is fungible isn't it? It's funny how when BTC started it was known as the "anonymous" currency that was more fungible than any other currency we had. Now apprently BTC is neither anonymous or fungible...

Good time to buy I think.

![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Dude you are daydreaming now, i will wake you up. ROFLMAO. MXR's ath was almost 0.02 and that was the limit, it won't pump, it was the definite peak for 2 years, and it will be bearish very soon dude, I was here when btc went from $2 to $32 and then from $30 to about $1100 where were you? yeah, probably not here... you don't know how crazy this can get... not saying it will, just that it can, and this from my own experience with btc's bull... hope you don't have to learn the hard way... edit: obviously you know nothing about the fundamentals of xmr, it's the most fascinating crypto-poject I've personally seen since bitcoin... I advise you to study it, cuz now you come over as an uninformed young fool babbling bullshit... best regards, But don't you think we are due for a entrancement? As you mentioned even BTC went form $32 to $2 and remained stagnant for nearly a year.... XMR just had a ridiculous bull run. Agreed that the potential is there, and it might still reach new heights later on. But for now, isn't it due for a retracement? What if during the winter it remains stagnant and Bitcoin gets a pump? Wouldn't want to be holding XMR then

I dumped half of my XMR last night at .0140 because I was convinced it would struggle to go up and have a mini-crash / correction.... but this morning its now at .0155 ....UGH! Still uncertain whether it'll rise or fall from this point. What do you guys think?? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) It's any mans guess rise or fall. Here's your analysis, 50/50. But I'll tell you this. I would rather get burned the one way than the other. I would rather lose a few thousand dollars than miss the chance of a lifetime. But that's just me. I dumped half of my XMR last night at .0140 because I was convinced it would struggle to go up and have a mini-crash / correction.... but this morning its now at .0155 ....UGH! Still uncertain whether it'll rise or fall from this point. What do you guys think?? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) I considered it myself earlier today and thought better of it; while you can trick yourself into being 'reactive' the best strategy is often to stick with your original plan eg "I'm going to buy and see where we are in a week/month/year". Its difficult when you watch the charts hawkishly not to get caught up in short term trends. I'm sure the cryptogods will grant you a buy back dip ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Haha thanks, I agree with both of you...the long term game is much better than trying to time the market, if you believe in the coin's future that is. But I've done that with bitcoin and while it's worked out well for me there were times when the dips were obvious and if I made moves instead of sitting and watching I could have had 2-3X more bitcoin than I have now. One I'm worried about with Monero is that after this pump phase it might stay stagnant for a while and BTC might rise because imo it's overdue for a rise... thats gonna make the monero/btc parity even smaller and I'll be stuck holding monero until the next pump
