Sorry to say but this is only your fault that you not sell. People where screaming overall that this bubble will pop up. There were signs that big correction is coming. I don't want to spread fear but I think that this bear market will last until 2019.
462  Other / Off-topic / Re: Solution to overcome panic on: March 29, 2018, 09:05:20 AM
if you are still sitting on big bags this is only your fault. You should be selling at ATH or just after when there were hundreds of signals that we will soon enter a bear market and heavy price correction starts. If you cashed out then you search calmly for a super entry point and that is correct behavior.

If you haven't sold at ATH then there is no other option for you as HODL and pray that bulls finally take over the market because you already lose 70% of your money and this is no time for sell only to look for the good entry point.

Buy low, sell high that's it.
463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: king of all coins on: March 29, 2018, 08:53:29 AM
new coins that have come a lot in the crypto world have an impact on the market price. however, after the arrival of the same ripple operates behind the blockchain.
will this coin replace BITCOIN or BITCOIN will continue in its position and remain the king of all coins?

In the near future, this will be ETH and later on Hashgraph if deliver what promises. Bitcoin will stay as a store of value but will lose first place and so big market domination. This is because of lack of needed features like smart contracts. High fees, scaling problems, slow development this issues will be crucial for Bitcoin and if not resolved in time we will see ETH at first place on CMC very soon.
464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO is officially banned in China !!! on: March 29, 2018, 08:41:53 AM
This is nothing new that regulations are coming to the crypto world especially to ICO's. There is and was so many scam ICO that I'm not surprised that few countries begin to keep eye on them. Especially China where 80% of new ICO started in the last few months. They are known for biggest involvement in mining and all other crypto related businesses. Don't understand why they banned ICO's permanently? This is very good opportunity for honest projects to get funded and start. I was sure that they will only regulate ICO adding KYC check and other restrictions. Now they are losing a lot of money which could be made in the future from taxes and other sources.
465  Other / Meta / Re: not receiving Merit? I don't care on: March 26, 2018, 09:27:55 PM
I just want to make a shout out to those who are keep complaining about the merit system here. You know I understand your eagerness to rank up because I have the same feeling, but don't be pressure to make a quality post for merit purposes, because if you receive nothing from your post you will be disappointed, and yes it did.  That is why you will make a thread to speak against the merit system. You know avoiding yourself to create shitpost is enough and leave it to the one who can appreciate it. You can also share suggestion if you have, at least you are not part of the problem but part of the solution who knows that this manner can solve the negative issue you saw from the merit system.
Don't forget that merit is a newborn system intended to fight against the shitposters with their fully grown horns.
So please don't love to go against merit but let us support it whether we can receive it or not.

I don't think anybody will complain if he fills that merit system works. Same rules for everybody on the forum. So we should have equal chance to rank up. Bitcointalk is a multilanguage forum and we have a lot of users from all countries. Tell me please, how to get merits if you don't speak English or don't have the ability to write in English because this is not your native language? I don't think such a person have any chance to rank up.

English is not my first language and I know few people from my local board who are very knowledgeable about cryptocurrencies and in other topics but they don't speak fluent English or can't properly write. Despite their knowledge and that they are helpful to their local community they have a lot less chance to rank up as a brand new user with no knowledge at all but with very good English skills. I know few developers of successful projects who are speaking English using google translator.
466  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Stat from theymos data on: March 26, 2018, 08:49:45 PM
Excellent work you deserved a merit for sure but I can't give you any. I see that there are not many posts merited especially on few boards. Such a huge decrease in merits shows that users want to wait and not lose all their precious merits at the start because we all have learned very fast that this is not easy to earn one merit even if you write quality posts and do what you can to be supportive on the forum.
467  Other / Meta / Re: The MERIT BIG-BANG Theory - An Infography ...ooo000OOOO on: March 26, 2018, 08:35:42 PM

I wanted to award you with few merits for this post but as you know I don't have any. I Try to figure it out how this works because sometimes I see shitty post merited and very long useful guide not. I have written few posts and still earned no merits so I can not merit anybody and if unlucky I will stay newbie for a very long time or even never rank up. I think if you don't speak English you can forget to rank up.
468  Other / Meta / Re: Newb To Newbs: Gaining Merit Fast! on: March 26, 2018, 08:21:18 PM
So you want to earn merit (as fast as possible!)

After a few days skulking the Meta section I realized a few important things:

#1 A huge portion of the Hero/Legendary crowd honestly care about the merit system. They are making it work, and they are more than happy to teach you.

Check out this awesome infographic by paxmao to get an overview of the system: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2834641.msg29065043#msg29065043

#2 Many forum members have gone the extra-mile to statistically show you which topics/areas earn the most merit. Surprise! Grin top Bitcointalk members prefer to merit posts in the "Bitcoin" section...Go figure.

If you have links to some topics I'm missing please post them here and I'll add them to my list! I'll keep editing it with new great info (especially statistical info) as I find it.

Your topic suggests a guide on how to earn merits and your post is not a complete summary of merits topic on different boards. Change topic or post I think.

This is just amazing that such a good cryptocurrency is fully airdropped to BTT members. My account is still very new and with merit system, I don't see any chance to achieve senior or full member rank until 2019 year before airdrop will end.
470  Other / Meta / Re: Let Decay Default Merits on: March 25, 2018, 09:21:32 AM

I have gone through lot of post that are complaining about merits. Basically most of them are spammers only that are making hue and cry. One of their cheif complaint is that earlier user got free pass in this forum.

Merit system is now in place for approximately 2 months and I think it is time to correct this free pass system also.

I think we should start decaying Default Merits in constant rate, let say decay of 4 Default Merits every week. So it means
after implementing this system users who have Default Merit will see decay of 4 Default Merits per week until the user Default Merit become zero. The rank of user in forum will be determined by the sum of the current Default Merits + Merits earned. (Offcourse I am not ignoring activity).

Since decay of default merit is 4 merit/week , so it means Legendary have 250 weeks (around 5 years to earn 1000 merits points). Hero will have 125 weeks , Full Member have 25 weeks, Member will have 3 weeks.

This new system will challenge users to justify their  ranks and we can proudly say that no one has got free pass.

Actually this system will pose real challenge to those people who got ranks by shit posting before the implementation of Merit system. Since decay of Default Merits will be gradual so it should not affect the constructive user in this forum.

PS: When I used word "Default Merits", I am pointing to those Merits that user got by virtue of their forum rank at the time of implementation of the Merit System. In my post I am just suggesting to decay Default Merits only, sMerits that are already  generated due to these Default Merits will not be impacted.

This actually could be the best idea I have read until today on how to repair merit system. I would merit you if I had any Smiley
471  Other / Meta / Re: How to get free merit on: March 25, 2018, 09:04:09 AM
Why do I have a feeling that this is just a thread used as an excuse for merit farming? Roll Eyes

Yeah, nothing special and more than 50 merit by DIA7

Exactly DIA7 sent him all his merits he gets when the system was introduced. This is his alt account or just merit abuse. Why there is no red trust given to this accounts?
472  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Requirements too difficult to JR. Members on: March 25, 2018, 08:45:40 AM
Interestingly this is really an issue one has to be alarmed about. If one is to consider quality in a post, what criteria is used to determine the quality scale of a post. Maybe i will have to visit the thread that talked about merit again.

I just don't see any merited posts when going through topics. I see only a little merit movement in special merit threads or when merit sources randomly give few merits. I see people are quoting each other, discussing, answering questions and nobody gives merits. Literally, I have seen no merits from newer accounts only from high-rank members or merit sources.

There are more posts about merit abuse on the board each day. I see hundreds of accounts involved in merit farming and this is just a beginning. I don't want to say that this was a good or bad decision to implement merit system. I only want to share that there is more not happy, confused users and negative reactions on the forum against merit system than positive.

If you are unlucky you will be Jr. Member for a very long time despite your high-quality posts and if you try to abuse the system you will be banned. There are thousands of great posts with no merits at all. I don't see how I can earn 250 of them if I can't get even one.

I think that every rank should be achievable for every member. Now you have to be expert in cryptocurrencies and have great skills writing in the English language to even think to be a senior member in a one and a half year of time. If you don't speak English or can't write long, breathtaking posts you are in trouble and you have to educate yourself first to achieve a higher rank on BTT today.

I don't think this is ok.

475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep these things in mind when you are into crypto world on: March 21, 2018, 10:58:11 PM
Hello everyone,

I am in crypto world from August 2017 and learn a lot and still have to learn a lot.

Let me share few things with you which are very important.

How to find weather ICO is scam or not

There are few things which we can check to avoid scams.

1. Do check their whitepaper , if you don't have any technical knowledge then you can take help from google to comes to know about project reviews because there are many website who review about ICO's
2. Do check their Team members, try to find their social accounts and do some background about them and their past experience.
3. Check out their Roadmap, check out discussion of projects on bitcointalk, reddit, telegram and other social channels.
4. Check their partnership details. Try to contact their partners to confirm it.

As once you select that you want to participate in ICO, then what you have to keep in mind.
1. No one from team member will contact you personally through telegram or other channels to contribute to you. Only ways of contribution are either through their website or that is mentioned on their website.
2. There are many fake admin profiles on telegram , they will personally message you and will give you contribution address to send ETH/BTC or whatever. Don't listen to them and ban them immediately.
3. Only trust official websites, Admin and team member.
4. you will get email from hackers , don't open them.
5. use 2fa and other securities to your accounts on exchanges.

Recently i get email from fake cryptopia exchange team that someone is trying to access my account. I click on that link and found that it was almost similar to real cryptopia link. So avoid these types of email.

If you have any question or need any help, leave your post below. I will try my best to help all of you.

Thank you and all the best.

Thank you for this post i think this is realy helpful for new people who want to invest and be safe in crypto space, like me.
476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Again Ban, but now from Twitter on: March 19, 2018, 10:52:22 AM
Twitter May Ban Advertising of Cryptocurrencies and ICO?

Hi guys it`s me again, and again I saw this information about the ban, but now for twitter.

Twitter plans to prohibit advertising of cryptocurrencies and ICO, according to Sky News citing sources.

First Facebook then Google, now Twitter is joining, what do you think about the market currency after these news?Is it real or only a big fake news blow before buying a lot of crypto?

Source:http://icowatchers.co/twitter-may-ban-advertising-of-cryptocurrencies-and-ico/

This is not good at all and together with this price drop, such a news can be a trigger for even more dump of altcoins. My Twitter account is fully crypto related and I am retweeting and posting ICO's t daily basis and as for now, I am not banned.
477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What were your experiences with Bitcoin when you first started? on: March 19, 2018, 10:30:49 AM
I knew back in 2010 that this will be huge but I haven't money to invest. If I know that 500$ will be enough to be a millionaire I would invest for sure but I thought that min investment should be 5000 to 10.000 and I couldn't afford it. I have mined few BTC on my regular old laptop back then. After that litecoin mining and trade of course.
478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do when panicked? Check this out on: March 19, 2018, 10:19:17 AM
this really hard not to panic if you see half or more of your investment gone in few days. Stop loss is hard to use when trading crypto because of high volatility and I do it only occasionally when have to sleep and market conditions are bad.

You say buy cheap and that is true but when is cheap? Today 8154 or yesterday 7600? Even if I buy today cheap it can easily go deeper to 6000 or even 5000$. We are in the bear market for 3 months and I think there are still 2 or 3 months to go after such a long bull run.

I think we have to wait for good confirmations of market direction change before investing back in BTC or any other crypto. There will be full of bull traps in incoming months. Let's wait and try to pinpoint the exact time to invest using available tools and market rumors.

I wish you all luck with investing.

Thanks for this thread because is very helpful for such new users like me. I just started my crypto journey on this forum and is good to know where to watch out for troubles. I am really afraid of viruses and scams in the crypto world. This still is number one issue lack of trust.
480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alternative Block Chains : be safe! on: March 18, 2018, 02:33:18 AM
This is a valid warning, especially with so many cryptocurrencies starting every day using airdrops. They force people to download new and not fully checked wallets. I checked few wallets for lately airdropped coins and I found plenty of virus warnings after a simple scan on virustotal scanner.

When members start to ask about this such an airdrop team will tell them that this is false positive and all miners are seen as a virus. Nothing to worry about. I heard such an explanation few times. This isn't true don't believe and never download such an airdrop wallet on your computer because 90% of them will contain a virus to steal all your coins. Especially if stored with other wallets on the same computer.

If you have to participate in such an airdrop try to use an exchange wallet. They will tell you that this isn't allowed but I did it anyway and always get paid.
