I thought the Announcement said he would refund to anyone BEFORE the deadline for registrations, not after. I may be remembering it wrong. It would make sense that he would need to calculate the distribution, so refunds in the middle of this would throw everything off. Sounds like he is open to refunding you later though.
I don't think there is anything "in the middle" as you put it. He doesn't want to pay the IPO coins and doesn't want to refund, and anyone that asks is ignored as shown in my earlier post. |

Apparently the dev bailed and took the IPO. Obviously don't send more. I requested a refund when BitOffer came into IRC and he replied it had to be put to a vote. But there is no vote until the IPO are distributed. I explained that and he left the chat.
And just so everyone knows; DssTech from hashing.at was part of it.
If you want a refund I will setup a process for you to go through but it wont be instantaneous. The coin has launched and any refunds will need to be approved by the house. First off there IS no house because you have not sent the coins.....so no one can vote yet.........give the refund as stated in the ANN Why are you wanting a refund already? And stop spreading FUD, the coindev hasn't gone anywhere with the money. As for sending the coins, there is a long list of seat members that bought in and people that paid towards IPO or both like in my case. The coin just launched with the past 36 hours, the IPO offering in less than 12 hours, and accepting payments from those wanting seats etc since 1 AM EST. On top of that the issues with the coin not mining as well as expected, to wallet sync issues, and all the emails one would get and have to filter through during this time. This was all basically done by one guy so far. I am sure the dev (BitOffer) is probably more than a little exhausted. As for coins being distributed, come the hell on, you honestly thought that they would be sent out instantaneously? Is that what you are butt hurt about and want a refund for? Because you haven't got coins for something that ended 2 hours ago? Really? Impatient much? You do know it is going to take a little time to get everything sorted, then get everyone their coins, consolidate bank, purchase hardware etc. And why would someone who has put as much time as BitOffer has in this project bail for 8000.00? You can kiss his ass and lose your money and it doesn't hurt me. 1 btc is chump change compared to what I was willing to spend to back the coin. I mined this coin at 7Mhs for 12 hours... and the coins generated are worth 9 cents.
nice The dev is aware of the mining problem and is working on a solution. Making mining profitable is a main goal. I certainly don't speak for him or the House as I'm just a lowly seat owner, but I'm quite confident the slow mining problem will be solved soon. |

You need to do a bit of reading. There was no premine for the dev. 50% premine was for the IPO and that is still open. Anyone can still buy a seat in the House and be able to vote on things related to the coin...such as buying ASIC miners. HOC is setup so the voters control what happens, and to vote all you need is coins in your wallet. If people don't wish to buy a seat, they can still mine and sell their coins at what should be a much higher rate than other coins get. Right now, no one is even wanting to sell at any price.
You seriously don't understand the concept. But frankly no one cares what you think or if HOC is on your list. Self appointed guardians of the crypto world are laughable.

Call me crazy but I cant find the wallet password now, I encrypted and now i cant find the password to open the wallet. Where did it go....Long night so I may be loosing it.
You lost your wallet password? not my password, but the password to unlock the wallet after you download but before u open you would not "encrypt" anything with that password. It is just to unzip the wallet download. Once unzipped you should never need that password again. If you have yet install your wallet than just download again, because the dev may have removed the password now. i need the password to unzip, yes i opened the walltet, but for some reason it is asking me again to unzip..... anyone find it suspicious that there is someone with 134MH/s mining power mining on the crypto-coins pool. 4 cards with an average 500kh/s = 2MH, which means there someone out there with 268 (estimated) video cards mining this? How do you even power a system like that? Most likely a multipool operator. why does anyone make plain scrypt coins anymore, they are just going to be monopolized by big hashing farms and multipools to be dumped on the exchanges soon after.
All coins will be accounted for. No one(including me) will have an unfair amount of coins. I want this system to be UN-gamed and equal as possible.
So much for that. At one point I had over 1GH/s mining HOC. Not hard to do really, just go to nicehash and have the highest bid lol |
