I wonder if a voting and messaging system could be built into the wallet.
It would be great if a 10%er could initiate a vote that pops up in your wallet with a timeframe and expiry date, you then cast your vote and the results are broadcast.

Another way: for every vote members get tokens that match their % of voting power, they then send it to the "yes" wallet or the "no" wallet. Whichever has more at the end of the poll wins.

The secret would be having some system that works effortlessly and is unhackable (like crytpo's!)

If we get a mining farm going another wallet innovation can be a live update of the farm's status and expected payout per share.

It would be relatively easy to set up.

That sounds like another great idea.

Apparently we are over 8BTC already now. It seems like we will have quite a few members and will be able to afford the miner and continue with BitOffer's idea.

Hey,

New house member here. Looking for a link to windows qt wallet, haven't had any luck finding one that worked yet. Having a "house" mining system is a great idea.

Thanks in advance.

anyone find it suspicious that there is someone with 134MH/s mining power mining on the crypto-coins pool.

4 cards with an average 500kh/s = 2MH, which means there someone out there with 268 (estimated) video cards mining this? How do you even power a system like that?
Most likely a multipool operator.
why does anyone make plain scrypt coins anymore, they are just going to be monopolized by big hashing farms and multipools to be dumped on the exchanges soon after.

All coins will be accounted for. No one(including me) will have an unfair amount of coins. I want this system to be UN-gamed and equal as possible.

So much for that.

It doesn't really matter too much. The way to get a seat and be a member (and get more coins than burning your pc mining the stuff) is 0.1btc.
There is still time, closes in a few hours.

Regarding it being a scrypt coin: this is the way it starts but once it is all up and running we can vote to change.

Physical HOC altcoins(3d printed) will be available to members for free on request. (*Update and pictures soon)
Still working on the [HOC] design.(not ready for production). If you haven't seen these 3d printed coins in person, every coin is unique(no two are ever alike)(Every coin is one of a kind).

HouseofCoins

—Lead Developer and Coin Distribute Bank

Finalizing dev and systems design. HouseofCoins will be ready for launch by https://api.motionmailapp.com/countdowntimer/728-980/b4c51814-22f0-4a11-b66c-a30000cbf81d.

No single persons or groups will have an unfair advantage. Anyone with enough desire & ambition can climb their way to the seat of highest influence.
The maximum voting power any single house member can have is 10% (A noble attempt at limiting voter fraud misuse by the wealthy big money interests).

A future coin algo fork to anti-asic is possible, but for now vanilla scrypt still has the most distributed usage and it makes sense to try and maximize hash power.

whitepaper, term

Any future confliction that may unforeseeingly arise and not be covered by terms herein will be handled in a parallel manner to existing U.S common law.

PoW Algorithm: Scrypt
Re-target: 2 min
Block Time: 2 min
Block Reward: 50
No Halving
Max Supply: 21 million
Coin Allocation: 50% for house seats
Dev Premine 0%

50% Coin Bank (similar to IPCO)(escrow)
Coins will be distributed based on BTC collected.(minimum 0.01)

The House members Voting Power is a percentage
based on coin ownership(max 10%). (Example: If the Vice
President owns 10% of all the coins in the House, he would have
10% vote power on all decisions). It only takes a majority
vote to win.

The President always has 10% vote power regardless
of the amount of coins held at the time of vote. Everything is
transparent, you can see just how many coins everyone owns at
every vote session because a coin address is required to calculate
vote power. All addresses will be posted along side a (YaY) or
(NaY) vote in the official "House of Polls" forum.

Once all coins are distibuted to verified and registered
members of the House, HouseofCoins becomes a founder funded
business enity. All members of the house become the founders.
The House will now have access to the Coin Bank. What the business
does is up to the House to decide. It could be as simple as investing
everything into BTC and splitting the profits; a marketng campaign to
increase the value of the coin; or building a scrypt asic mining farm.
The House is in complete control of all business actions. Any profits
from any business ventures can be paid back to the house
members based on percentages of coin ownership.

Your proof of coin ownership address will put you in power
but keeping that position is up to the House. The President is the
only position of power that can't be voted out by the majority of
the house. The President will have a term limit of 3 months. Every 3
months the House will vote to keep the president in power or pass
power down the line of succession to the Vice President. Any House
member can sell out their coins at anytime and remove themselves
from power opening up a seat for a new coin holder to join.

How To Reserve a House Seat:
1. Register on the official forum. forum.houseofcoins.us
2. Email admin@houseofcoins.us the username you signed up with and
imply that you would like to reserve a seat. Wait for a reply.
3. Check the list and make sure you have been accounted for.
List: http://forum.houseofcoins.us/index.php?topic=3.0
Minimum (0.01) to participate. The minimuM to reserve a House
Seat is 0.1 BTC. We want serious ppl only. Escrow should
be available a few days before launch.

2% of Coin Bank goes to Dev for Administration or
Dev will except the same value in coins.

Any future Coin administration will need to be
paid for by the House members. House members are not
required to use (Lead Dev) for future Dev work.

Synopsis

HouseofCoins is a protocol for the creation and use of decentralized financial instruments using Bitcoin as a transport layer.
The protocol's native currency, HOC, is 50% un-mined and deflationary, with 10.5 million HOC created by house member allocation in April.

★ The House ★

Lead Dev: I will be the Lead Developer and Coin Distribute Bank.
The President: Largest Holder of Coins.
Vice President: Second Largest Holder of Coins.
Speaker of the House: The Third Largest Holder of Coins.
House Members: Everyone else will makeup the rest of the house seats.

I have 2% of the CoinBank for Bounties and the better job
everyone does the more the bounties will be worth. I want
to hit the media hard a few days before the launch.

If we can get investors on board this coin
will fly like an eagle.

An exchange is not on my priority list unless
the house wants it. I prefer to wait and get
it on Cryptsy, but I love the small exchanges
too. -A decision that is not up to me.

Esteemed Members of the House (and future members):

The origin of symbols fascinate me and I have been thinking on how credits/votes/coins from the House of Coins would be called and represented.

I am not sure how many people have wondered why we use $ for dollars. To me it has always looked like a snake on a stick. On reading up about it, it seems that I am not the only person who made that connection.
From Wikipedia:
Greek mythology
...the dollar sign may have also originated from Hermes, the Greek god of bankers, thieves, messengers, and tricksters. One of his symbols was the caduceus, a staff from which ribbons or snakes dangled in a sinuous curve.

There are other theories as well but since this is the sign of tricksters and bankers, I find this interpretation appealing. (Hermes=Mercury, mercantile and merchants, it is all related.)

Effectively the coins from House of Coins represent a vote and shares in how the bank will be used. (At this stage seems likely to be a mining venture.)
Since it is a system of bartering I have been considering an appropriate symbol to represent this.

Many cultures used and still use livestock as an primary unit for bartering. In some African cultures you still pay for your wife in cows. Wikipedia: "A cow in Zimbabwe costs $500 and the brides family can ask for a cash equivalent of the number of cows they want.' The basic unit is cows and the cash is representative of the cow.
With this in mind (something more worthwhile than the dollar, something on which the $ is based rather than the other way around, a primal element for bartering) I wanted to find a symbol to represent this.

The first letter of the alphabet came to mind. Alpha.. or rather Aleph.

Wikipedia:

The name aleph is derived from the West Semitic word for "ox", and the shape of the letter derives from a Proto-Sinaitic glyph based on a hieroglyph
which depicts an ox's head.

In Modern Standard Arabic, the word أليف /ʔaliːf/ literally means 'tamed' or 'familiar', derived from the root |ʔ-l-f|, from which the verb ألِف /ʔalifa/ means 'to be acquainted with; to be on intimate terms with'.[1] In modern Hebrew, the same root |ʔ-l-f| (alef-lamed-peh) gives me’ulaf, the passive participle of the verb le’alef, meaning 'trained' (when referring to pets) or 'tamed' (when referring to wild animals); the IDF rank of Aluf, taken from an Edomite title of nobility, is also cognate.

The connotations of bartering, ownership and nobility seem to fit.
For a symbol, the Phoenician Aleph is an attractive one:

If we are able to raise enough to purchase the "Knc Titan miner". Another ideal is to setup a business and offer mining contracts. Ebay now has it's own section to promote this. http://www.ebay.com/chp/Mining-Contracts-/179172 . We can get almost double payouts(200% of what LTC pays out or more this way). I have been doing exactly that for a while now(smaller scale). -Another thing that would be up to the House to decide on.

As long as we pay out in HOC.  People would probably rent rigs with bitcoin that can be used to purchase HOC on the market to pay out.
