Yeah there are numerous scamming app which has been rolled out on the Indian market and with the emergence of AI tools like deepfake and other applications they make it look like influencer or celebrity is promoting the trading application and some fall prey to it. There are also advertisement which claims to give you certain percentage of returns everyday based on your investment and just scam people.

Deep Fake scams are new to the Indian market and we haven't seen not much regarding them, but this is promoted by actual people so-called Instagram celebrities who don't know anything at all about crypto or trading but they claim to be they made 20K profits in one minute just by one click, blah blah stories and get paid 10K for one post.
462  Local / India / Beware of fake trading apps! on: December 22, 2023, 06:08:21 PM
You can see different kind of trading apps promoted by influencers in social media platform like youtube, Instagram and most of them won't be available in Play store which itself a red flag and why we should not install them at any cost. But a lot of people install such apps and try trading and lose their money.

Even though Indian government is trying to ban such apps and give strong warning to the people who are promoting them, still we can see stories, and I am reminding you this now after reading such story on reddit.

Hello fellow members of CryptoIndia , my dad is super new to crypto and was introduced to it by a certain friend of a friend roughly 2 weeks ago. Even in these novice stages he bought-sold usdt worth 50k-100k inr multiple times and claimed to make a profit of 3-4k inr each time.

So please ask people to stay away from these scammers who are constantly targeting Indian youngsters who are just starting their trading/investment career.

Sanju Samson is proving a top class quality players having ability to make long the inning. He is looking very cool minded and playing with own style. The main thing is to how you behave in pressure. He is well set batsman for one down which is crucial stage is to control the run rate and also protect wickets. SA bowling was not good today, the fast bowler proved expensive although spin bowlers control the runs but India did the job against fast bowlers.

South Africa all best batmens know for long inning such as Klasen,Dussen, Hendricks,Miller and Markram could not scores today otherwise the target was not big to chase. Arshdeep spell was fantastic one and he was looking in great form today. He sent out both openers to pavilion which make trouble for SA to chase the high runs

He hasn't been consistent and also the position he is competing is NO.3, so he won't be able to overshadow Kohli batting ability with one ODI century but if he pulls similar performance while batting little down may give him some hope but for now the chances for him to be in T20 squad is slim unless he do something magical in IPL matches.

The series decider match will be played today. Can KL Rahul and his new team win the series? We need to wait for the game to get over to find out. I don't think any changes will be made to the current team. If the management does then it will be a few batters and a bowler. South Africa looks better as a team and they can win the series without any doubt.

India wins, this win can be attributed to Sanju's hundred otherwise India wouldn't have made 296 score, and possibly would have lost.

Coetzee and Jansen would have added strength to SA, but they were rested to prepare for upcoming test series. Jansen's all rounding ability as we saw in wc and Coetzee always takes wickets.

There were two changes on Indian side: Kuldeep, Ruturaj out and Washington Sundar, Rajat Patidar in respectively. They played their part well, I would say. Little innings from Patidar but confident shots, Sundar took 2 wickets and some runs at end.

Sometimes some players play and they play with their hearts. Yesterday we saw the same kind of devotion by Sanju Samson and Arshdeep Singh that led India to victory and a win in the ODI series. I won't put Samson in the front seat he did what he was required to do to save himself from getting ignored by the selectors. This century might help him secure some merits in the eyes of Indian selectors.

Also, the actual reason is he played at his actual spot at No.3 but it is impossible to replace Virat so Sanju Samson has to adapt to play flexible at different positions since the availability of talents getting bigger and bigger so there won't be much of chances will be up to one individual and even if they do decent still it may not be enough in certain situation.
465  Local / India / Re: Future of Indian Economy on: December 22, 2023, 12:12:11 PM
According to a new report published by the World Bank, Indians top the list of remittance back to India. According to the reports $125 billion was remitted back to India by Indian expat in 2023. The second spot goes to Mexico with $67 billion and the third spot goes to China with $50 billion. Now, with so much money coming into India why won't Indian economy get ranked 5th in the world. A lot has to do with remittances and a major chunk of money is coming from Indian expats living in the Middle East.

Source

The actual numbers will be at least tripled than this because we know Hawala is preferred by most of the Indians to send money to their family from abroad for tax evasion and its the pretty simple and cheap method than sending via money transfer but I think there is no deduction in the transferred money in some cases which I am not sure but in the past people who want to send bulk from or to India prefers Hawala.

India is all set to win the decider since Miller is the only proper batsman remaining currently. What a comeback by Arshdeep. This pitch seems to be a spin friendly surface though the Indian pacers are taking full advantage of it too.

Samson's century helped them post a competitive target. Also, Burger impressed me the most among the South African bowlers.
It looks like they will win the decider. It is still too early to come with a conclusion that they will win. Milker and Maharaj are still on the pitch, if these two form a partnership then things might get bad for India.

KL Rahul behind the wicket adaptability and his presence of mind got India two wickets. I don't know why he is not interested in keeping. He is becoming as good as Dhoni, can surpass him to become the second best keeper if continue to perform well as a keeper for the Indian team.
SA fumbled after the early flourish start, and no Wonder why people tag them as chokers because they are clearly struggling when it comes to chasing whether the target is possible to achieve. Just 2 wickets remaining for team India to seal this ODI series and KL would be really happy with the things under his captaincy, Arshdeep seems to found his rhythm which he missed in the last few months.
467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 21, 2023, 05:01:57 PM

Tony de Zorzi is a new good discovery for SA. He was not out on 119 runs in last game and right now batting on 57 runs. Still a long way to go for SA, they need 200 runs in 30 overs with 8 wickets in hands. We cant say who is favourite at the moment as both teams have equal chances of winning the game. India need wickets specially of Tony de Zorzi. SA must keep a check on asking rate, its touching 7 runs per over and if keep on going up then things may go bad for SA towards the end.

Definitely better option than their WC captain Bavuma. Cheesy

So far SA is cruising in this match after couple of wickets and inexperience in the bowling is visible. Atleast they will try part-time bowlers in this match because for pacers the pitch offers nothing on the other side the ball spins but both the spinners are not that much of spinners.

162 needed from 25 overs with 8 wickets in hand.
468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 21, 2023, 03:33:58 PM
India makes 296, looks good total as wicket looks difficult to bat on. I'm drifting towards India to win this one. Sanju, Tilak needed to mark and they did, Rinku as expected turning out to be a good finisher.

Rinku Singh got real talents and he is proving it match after match, hope he will go with the same flow in the future matches too because finisher spot is there to be filled in the Indian team.

Finally, Sanju posted a ton and justified why he has been given chance but is this enough for the selectors to keep him in the loop or the story won't be changed?
469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 21, 2023, 01:34:18 PM
135 in 31 over with 3 wickets down is not a slow game. The run rate is over 4 and with wickets on hand, any team would score about 250 with this run rate at current time as the run rate would increase over the last 10 overs. India is doing good with it singles and overall they are batting at a good rate and could reach above 250.
The previous two ODIs were also low scoring ones. This games seems would be the highest scoring game of the whole series. I see India winning at this rate as it would be difficult for South Africa to chase a larger score against the Indian bowling.

Tilak started of like a test inning, probably because what happened in the last match and now he got the pace too since he is known for fast scoring. On the other side good to see Sanju Samson playing responsibly, hope he will play the Anchor role cause he is the senior player now and taking the responsibility is one of the reason to have a permanent slot.
470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 21, 2023, 12:35:15 PM
Sanju Samson and KL Rahul are at the crease and don't forget the fact that both these batsmen have career batting average of more than 50. However at this point they are trying to settle in rather than going for the risky shots.

They can't afford to make mistakes either because the playing XI has long tail and of course two all-rounders are there but if there are some quick wickets then the results won't be any different from previous match so team India has to play sensible to win this series.

Edit KL Rahul got out while writing so Indian fans be ready to see rare bilateral defeat by team India. Cheesy

Mitchell was indeed phenomenal in the early days of his IPL career. Actually, his bowling performance was great in his second IPL. He was also bought by KKR in 2018 IPL auction with a good price, but he couldn't play in that season for getting injured. Still, ₹24.75 crore is overpriced in my opinion. KKR was badly looking for a fast bowler as they had emptied their fast bowling squad before the IPL auction. That's why they decided to spend a lot on Mitchell Starc. At the same time, Gujarat Titans was also wanting him in the squad to make their bowling lineup strong.

BTW, India has taken the franchise cricket league to another level through the IPL auction of this year. It will bring more attention to the cricket from the worldwide spectators.

Before IPL there wasn't much money in cricket, and now the money is increasing with every passing year of IPL. There is no international cricket during IPL as all countries main players are busy in IPL. I was reading that Cummins and Starc are now the most expensive player in history of IPL with price tag of 20 and 24 crore Indian Rupee. Australian players now only play IPL they don't pay much attention to BBL.

BCCI, made cricket into a profitable than ever before and they spot the right time frame April and May which is the summer Holidays throughout the India. It doesn't mean there is no international matches in that time period and even the next year England players may not be available to play IPL and that is why Englishmen went unsold in the Auction.
472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 20, 2023, 04:36:00 PM
Yes IPL is a win for every player drafted and more so for the large bid winners. Australian players have proved their worth not just on current series but they also have made significant effect on every IPL tournaments. The difference on the ones highest paid and others that are not so highly paid may not have such huge difference in performance.
And the team bidding such price might have reasons for that and IPL is not just about winning for the teams. It's an overall advertisement platform.
What viewers and gamblers get overall are thrilling close contest short format game entertainment.

Starc and Cummins didn't have any contribution in the IPL so far, but they went for such high price tag because few teams were in need of pacers so badly. And for the record, no expensive player did well in their franchise as far as I knew and I hope that will be the case in 2024 too.

IPL is the second-biggest sport event after NFL but don't know the 2023 stats, that means its multi billion dollar event and teams are more into business than cricket.
473  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: December 20, 2023, 02:57:11 PM

CSK, MI were good at auction table.

KKR and SRH too got what they really wanted and all other teams were clueless and I don't really understand why teams went for the player who were released by them earlier and higher bids than their released price. GT squad packed with batting but their middle order is not going to be same as before, and I don't think they will be deadly as they were.
474  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: December 20, 2023, 12:29:25 AM
The second ODI between India and South Africa starts in just a few hours from now. India are one up in the series due to the impressive bowling by Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan.

Indian batting collapsed and bowling is ineffective because the total is too low to push the SA batting under pressure. SA opener Tony de Zorzi went unbeaten 119 and they chased it comfortably with 8 wickets

But all the eyes were on IPL auction than the match, and as expected there is new record for most expensive purchase by KKR for Starc 24.75cr.

Here is the list of sold players at the IPL Auction 2024

Which teams bought the right picks, in your opinion?

Mine, MI, CSK, SRH and KKR.
475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 19, 2023, 06:02:58 PM
Mitchell freaking Starc becomes the highest buy in IPL history. KKR splurged around 24.75 cr to purchase him which is insane while SRH splurged around 20.5 cr to purchase the services of Cummins.

Personally, I don't think either of them deserve such high amounts in this format. It's pretty clear that their ODI World Cup heroics helped them in this case.

Yea, insane purchases. Even if they play well, this exorbitant value. On other side, I feel Ravindra sold for cheap, and Bangalore should have gone for him, but they stayed silent.

I didn't understand craze behind bidding war for Harshal Patel tbh.

Starc and Pat Cummins went for the costly price tag, but why Coetzee didn't get such a deal? That was more surprising to me.

I thought CSK will go for him hard, but they didn't even interest on bidding, and they bought Mustafizur who is going to be the only overseas bowler and few uncapped players went for unexpected price too.
476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 18, 2023, 04:48:21 PM

@libert19, On the batting we may expect Head, Daryl Mitchell, Rachin will probably go for the highest bid and I expect this year we may see new record for costliest buy since the many teams have huge purse. Previous costliest sold player Sam Curran– Rs 18.50 Cr. – Punjab Kings (2023).

History has shown, costly players usually don't play up to their cost, so hopefully bidders won't overdo it. I feel players also feel pressure due to high purchase, pressure to play good and in return they do worse.

Damn, true. Sam Curran, Benstokes, Yuvi, Pat cummins can be the best examples for this while contrastingly players bagged at the base price is becoming the future part of the teams and the best example is Rinku who is banging the doors for finisher spot in 2024 T20 WC.

I am excited to see the Auction tomorrow because few teams released a lot of their players and need to build from the scratch now.
477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 18, 2023, 02:58:35 PM
For those unaware, tomorrow is IPL auction, starting 1 PM IST. Coetzee, Starc, Cummins, Madhushanka will likely get high bids. Pat cummins should captain the team wherever he goes  Tongue
Also, I feel really sad for Rohit who might not play in the upcoming season despite his huge contributions to MI and the IPL.

He has been retained that means he will play but not as captain and there are lot of rumors/speculations about this on social media but we don't know what is the real truth but as per the veterans this decision can't be made without discussing with Rohit.

Arshdeep and Avesh Khan should face serious consequences, it was supposed to be a 100-overs match but these 2 criminals turned this into a T-20 match.

Not the best way to wrap up the Sunday. If not spectators then at least think about the cash strapped broadcasters. If you finish the game too early, How are these poor folks supposed to cash in the Primetime slot?

So you are implying that the performance should be like Mukesh's  Cheesy

To be honest, Mukesh was unlucky and he got the wicket on the very first ball of the match, but they didn't review it due to the double tap and then also he bowled really well and keep beating the bat but went zero under the wicket column.

And he looks like a perfect candidate for the test match, he got clean action so not injury prone and something similar like Shami, hopefully he will keep his performance standard upwards so when the time comes he will be on the slot.
One can look for a replacement in Dinda Academy  Grin

Jokes apart, i don't think these guys are ready for the test cricket.

Obviously, he just started his international career, but I am talking about Mukesh exceptionally because he is having clear action, not so long run up that makes him a perfect test bowler because he can bowl long, and also he got ability to seam movement too off the pitch if there is any assistance.

I went for nap after the 8th wicket because the result is obvious, and later I checked highlights and found Rutu dismissed early on LBW but to me, it looked like going down and 99% such reviews will be umpires call, and I don't know how these umpires call working now. Roll Eyes

Sai Sudharsan played extraordinary, had a little bit of luck early on, and Iyer is getting better and better at No.4.

Whereas we all are busy selling out Bitcoin rather than investing in it by buying more on Bisq.

If you have BTC, and now you need money then there is no harm in selling it and that is what money is supposed to be used for.

BTC has potential to grow, but if you don't feed yourself today, then there is no point of hoarding the food for the next month.

Considering the current transaction fees and congestion in the Bitcoin network it is better to avoid making any transaction. Those small investors who have been DCAing will be affected. Small businesses won't be able to sustain such transaction fees and will shift to another blockchain. Wherein the potential for it to grow and become more popular will be dented.

The congestion has been going on for the last 2 months and we all know it is temporary, and it will not affect the growth of BTC in any way, we are just less than a year ahead of halvening so there is good chance that BTC price will be doubled, so the holders are going to keep HODLing it. In India particularly there is no business that accept Bitcoin for payments, there used to be one restaurant but RBI shadowbanned it they went off so that part we don't need to worry about it now and the crypto investors in India will come clean only if government comes up with fair tax rates or else they are going to keep losing millions in revenue.
