Even if you fail to assess condition, you can't fail like this. This was surprisingly pathetic performance. Aside from that, good knock from Sai Sudarshan, always felt since his ipl days he's good odi player, good at rotating strike, not aggressive.

Yeah, inconsistency has been an issue with Arshdeep Singh. He was bowling very bad in the T20 series, but today was his day. The most consistent bowler at the moment in the Indian team is Kuldeep Yadav. He has taken wickets in almost every game that he has played.

Need to see whether they can repeat the same level of bowling today. Axar Patel will get included to the team as the pitch looks good for spinners. Some IPL franchises lose already at the auction table, RCB is one of them. What few star players can do for the whole team? Starc expensive af, but KKR team looks good to me, should hopefully qualify for play-offs at least.

Indian team batting only lasted because of Sai Sudarshan and KL Rahul otherwise a score of 211 would have been impossible to achieve. Sai Sudarshan again looked great and he got back-to-back 50 in this series. He is trying to get his name cemented in an already competitive batting order in the Indian team. Sanju Samson again failed and will fail because of his attitude as a batter. I don't understand why the selector even gives him an opportunity is it because of franchise pressure or does he have someone in the selection committee?

As for IPL Bhumrah should have gone for the price of Starc, he is far better than the Australian. Just because they won the World Cup does not mean they are good bowler in the T20 format which is dominated by batters. There are three teams that I think are well-balanced and they are CSK, MI, and GT.

I skipped yesterday's match, knew India would lose and RSA would make a comeback. Watched the highlights now on hotstar. S. Sudarshan batted very well and so did the captain, back to back half century from the youngster. Another cricketer in the making, so many talents India has, still we didn't win the World Cup.

IPL auctions have always been controversial. The franchisee have always been crazy when auctions come up. I still remember Charu Sharma buying players for a franchise at a hefty amount in the first season and all those players were a flop. I don't remember the franchise for which he worked as a manager. I dunno if KKR and SRH did well, they paid insane for Starc and Cummins, one player can't make the team win, no matter how good they may be.

Delhi paid 7.2 crore for uncapped keeper batsman, Kumar Kushagra meanwhile international player like Salt went unsold, what teams were thinking? Why Delhi released him in first place? He played good in last ipl and is having good run right now in international cricket.

Salt was confused no one picking him up, so was I.

GT will definitely feel lack of Pandya in down order, but I think Azmat can fill that role to some extent, also price paid was bargain, imo.

Also, the actual reason is he played at his actual spot at No.3 but it is impossible to replace Virat so Sanju Samson has to adapt to play flexible at different positions since the availability of talents getting bigger and bigger so there won't be much of chances will be up to one individual and even if they do decent still it may not be enough in certain situation.

Sanju Samson played very good yesterday considering the batting and keeping he has been doing in the past. I mean playing one game when you get a century doesn't mean he is better than what he used to be earlier.

A small stint of getting a century won't help him as he is now outnumbered by others. In this case most of them in his position and if I think correctly he is eyeing the position of Kholi.

Can he overthrow Kholi and get cemented in that position? You would need much more to overcome the GOAT in ODI & Test cricket. I haven't seen anyone who could do better that Kholi in that position in both the format.

Considering T20 format he is still way behind then those youngsters. He is not just good for T20 as he takes time to come into the sense that he is playing a short format of cricket. I saw today a lot of article got published about his ability as a batter and how much he was suffering from depression. Thankfully, he is out of that mental issue

The amount of time and money he has spent in getting himself into the ODI squad or the T20 squad it was evident that those articles would come out. He got his first official century in an ODI in the last match against South Africa. Ishan Kishan, SKY, and Samson all of the three debuted in 2021, look at the stats of Ishan Kishan and then compare them with Sanju Samson's stats. He debuted long back in 2015 in the T20 format with a ton after that he has been out of touch in both ODI and T20 formats. He has been unable to cement his position in the Indian team because of his performance with the bat. I guess this century would give him some confidence and will help him get himself into the probable list of players for India.
