You mentioned top chinese exchanges would allow for users to participate on the crowdsale. The ones you announced are not top tier and some might even be unknown to most people. Also the testnet - Sparknet - will be released a couple of months after the crowdsale. Meaning the real thing is months away. That's a lot of time in crypto. What if one of those exchanges runs away with funds or shuts down?
The impact on your crowdsale will be pretty big. You're basically betting none of those exchanges will scam/shut down/get hacked while you don't release the mainnet. That's risky.
One more question. Crowdsale will only have 51% of the tokens. Is there any sort of contract that early founders agreed upon saying they won't sell say, for the first 2 years or something like that? Is there anything keeping them from dumping since the beginning?
The 51% of tokens reserved for the ICO is what worries me about the Qtum project. It might end up being oversold with all the hype it is receiving. Also, all these Angel backers holding Qtums dirt cheap can drop the bomb anytime. The ICO being hosted on multiple unknown Chinese exchanges is also a turn off. it will be for sure oversold or sold out. they had their campaign running and alot of noobs will throw money into it. |

So we get a half way done coin and more promises of tomorrow, Alcurex is now falling under my "another scammer" list. About 1+ years ago, halibit confirmed that NODE coin was a legitimate project because he looked at the code (which is still not public). NODE devs disappeared, halibit takes off the coin from Alcurex. Then some of us are hoping to revive it, I message halibit if his assesment of the code is still valid and what happened with his MicroCoin (another failed coin) project, no replies. He sure was replying to me 1+ years ago when he thought he could make profit though  So now it brings us to this (HEAT), so far, almost failed coin and Alcurex reaping profits from trading. I thought halibit could be trusted, but after seeing how HEAT is turning out, it seems like he played the same cards to pull more BTC out of unsuspecting investors. I take back what I said about halibit/Alcurex being trustworthy, do not trust none of these Finnish projects until further evidence can be shown that they are trustworthy. All they are showing us is their willingness to try to pull scams and make Bitcoin community less trustful. The trolling around here is getting so weak, clearly anyone with some sense understands the project has an enormous amount of potential. The team has their shit completely together. Beta drops in a less than 2 weeks. The chart on polo is one of the best in crypto for longterm slow growth with a strong chance for the price to go vertical... A lot of crypto projects build to 1 singular release, and thats where you see a pump and dump. When you look at nexium they have a lot of upcoming events/releases that will attract new users, I think that kind of potential helps keep the price rising. You dont put all your eggs in one basket, and each upcoming event for nexium has the potential to attract large whale investors in crypto and in gaming. bitcrystal coin is now at $13 Mill. lets look at nexium in 6 months. |

- Developer gives this release to a few buddies (7 nodes other than heatwallet.com by my count prior to public release)
- Developer and buddies create a fork and gain all rewards for several hours on their fucked up 0.9.4 chain
- Nobody else can join that chain because software is not available
- 0.9.4 is finally made public and forces everyone to the fucked up chain
This is not acceptable. One of the most important jobs of a blockchain developer is to maintain fairness in blockchain rewards. This is non-negotiable, and any blockchain developer that disagrees needs to find a new line of work. For a developer to create a fork for him and his buddies and then force it as the main chain is totally messed up. This belongs on a discarded testnet chain. Don't do it again. I see your point, what are the chances that it was a logistical problem? How long were they ninja mining? C-CEX hasn't been willing to multiply their client stakes despite our requests. They now have have access to slightly over 1 500 000 HEAT in live mainnet as compared to the 995 000 HEAT tokens on their exchange. We have no idea where the half a million extra is gonna go and who will have access to it - remaining holders, C-CEX as a bonus for well performed business agreement, or Heat Ledger Ltd.
