I think GUI miner only works with OpenCuda cards - i.e. ati/amd cards. You might want to look into a ubuntu setup that supports nvidia.

I setup it on 3 of my computers no problems 1 had a q6600 and 8800gt 1 had a e5300 with a 8800gt and my pc with a i7 and a 5970+5870 all 3 configs worked without any problems each had windows 7 64 bit.

bitcoinminingaccidents  Shocked

I am loving this... bitcoin everything! When these recent flood of bitcoin websites thin out and a few strong ones persist I think we will see a rise in price due to utility.

Back on subject, water cooling FTW.

heck yea water cooling owns lol to bad it has to dump the heat into my room it raises my temp like 20-25f in here running a 5970@900/600 1.162 and a 5870@1000/600 1.212

465  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transaction Fees. Someone please explain. on: June 24, 2011, 05:12:42 AM
lol i understand it now to i think more coin you have and longer less fees you pay.  Kinda makes sence they promote users that are setup to stay with bitcoin and not users that get a few coins spend it and quit.

MSI reference model (unlockable shaders) 2gb 6950's are $280 bucks on newegg, $260 after rebate.  I'm getting over 400 mhash/s with unlocked shaders, 950 mhz core, 600 memory, 53% fan, and I'm using the flags -v -w128 -f0.

Link to the card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127555&cm_re=6950-_-14-127-555-_-Product

My 5870 clocked at 1000/600 gets around 420mhash with flags -v -w128 -f 1
468  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are the CPU, Memory and Power Supply on this rig good enough for 3 x HD 5970? on: June 24, 2011, 03:46:46 AM
a good 1200 watt but you will probly need to find a way to handle the heat also thats going to be a ton of heat coming from 3 5970s unless your watercooling them.

some places you can find 5970 for around 450-500 used if your lucky then those would be the best probly unless you got alot of pcie slots to run alot of the cheaper cards.
471  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: new user speed check on: June 24, 2011, 03:38:38 AM
my 5970 seems to get around 765 so its right at the top of fastest but my 5870 might be as little slow for its clock at 420.
