If it has Dans stamp of approval it can't be bad, He knows what he is doing, I dare not question his judgement too much respect for him.
+ 1. cryptoland has a funny way of getting you all flustered at the slightest thing. deleted my earlier post. heres to the future. Sigh you guys are right, I'll get rid of my previous comment as well. I think your last comment is spot on though. what worries me is that crypto markets are mainly driven by emotion and not rationale. So that collaboration with other coins increases the chance for (unsubstantiated) FUD when that news came out, I got fearful, started panicking and having doubts. But I trust Dan and XC. Also Qibuck sounds like an abreviation of "quick buck" which is unfortunate because it seems from the about page they are all about the complete opposite. lol QiBuck (pronounced CHEE-buck) is the brainchild of several like-minded people from across the crypto community who were tired of the scams, the disappearing developers, the hype, and the inevitable pump and dump that has followed so many other altcoins.

I thought this community was better than this. But some of you seem only to be interested in short term gains, thus the irrationality in your behavior. Just like when Dan announced he will review another coin's code.
Lame.
Dont make quick conclusion on only some people its the majority that win in the end Indeed. But I felt I needed to mention it. They know who they are. The same happened at the beginning when we tried to find connections on the blockchain. The exact same symptoms: irrationality and fear of losing the bag. its literally caused fear, uncertaintly and doubt. which is why in future it would be good if we were all on the same page. imo

You know what I hate? Stuff put out there without "details".
You want to know what I dislike even more?
Stuff coming out from other people about work being done, that is not from the XC main team.
Yeah I said it. Have a nice day.
Yep, this looks a bit unprofessional as XC has a PR person currently. Hopefully this won't be considered as a PR stunt / pumping the value of both coins like happened last time when another coin's dev announced something prematurely. its pumped their coin.

I am still in struggle to get more connections on XC wallet ( latest version, WIN 8.1.) (Never seen more then 8 ) Anyone knows which ports must be open on the router, to have it all working at its best?
have you got it working without tor yet? (in answer to your question, i dont know, sorry)

Wow, just checked that Timerland thread again. Fair play to Synechist, its infuriating just to read (knowing what has been posted and deleted) its like smashing your head against a brick wall. What about making a new thread unmoderated with the same name so everyone can see what an idiot the guy is? (No Fud, just explain difference between multisig Address & Multisig transaction. grrrr. actually probably best to just forget it. what a muppet that guy is.

***The XC Daily Update***
- A Rev 2 update is around the corner. (It's one on trustless mixing.) - XC was added to reviews site CoinGorilla.com. We need 20 reviews or so before XC looks legit. Go for it! - A belated but exciting update to XC on CoinsSource.com is underway! (Thanks SushiChef for placing that particular ball at the top of a nice hill for it to roll down.) - Something exciting and publicity-related happened today, but I can't disclose it yet. Sorry for the dull question, but which part of the update is due to the team? (All of the above facts express public's reactions, not the team's progress.) Well, Dan's been working on the Rev 2 update today, and I've been working on the other stuff (except for the last item, which simply happened). I will exclusively be working on the GUI this week. How are you getting along with this Teka? This is one of the things I am looking forward to the most as hopefully it will mean ease of use and I can start getting family & friends on xchat and send 'em some coins. any chance of a sneak peek? Hi Guys, hows it going? Teka, just wondering if you saw this post a made last night? Yes but honestly I don't want to release anything, mainly because with all my designs they are changed a lot of times. Furthermore they are all over the place till the final few 'revs'. Cool, yeah I understand thats fair enough. How far along would you say you are at a guess? 10%? 50%? 90%? Sorry, just trying to squeeze the tiniest bit of information out of you guys haha.

And AFAIK most of the people that respect their own privacy are still on OS X, not Windows users.
I know off topic but how do you figure that is the case ? I bet I am more secure in my linux, and windows systems then being on a mac. Feel free to take it to PM but I just had to point out this statement as untrue. There is no Linux XChat version except Ubuntu, which is an ugly interpretation of Linux. It's pretty clear that OS X is not as secure as Linux. And it's pretty clear for any SA knows that Linux is not as secure as BSD. But that's the current situation. what about the bootable (or installable?) TAILS .ISO which has the latest xchat packaged with it?

I can not get XC wallet app running in normal regular net (WIN 8.1) Works only in TOR. If someone is willing to help - call me on XChat
Have you downloaded the latest wallet? I'm on windows 8.1 and it works fine for me without TOR.

We need everyone else in crypto land to be asking the questions, not just the tiny amount of people who read the forum or even this thread.
|
|
|
So the q&a is on the XC forum.... So people like those idiots in the fud thread wouldn't be able to ask any questions, just us lot, who already pretty much know what's going on.
Would have thought reddit cryptocurrency forum would have been perfect to get a heap more exposure. Oh well.
|
|
|
The good thing about reddit would be people posting bullshit fud will be down voted, and genuine questions or what people are most interested in will stay at the top. Basically no need for a moderated thread.
Edi: and do it on the cryptocurrency sub reddit not our XC one. Lot more people will see it there.
|
|
|
I just wanted to clarify that XC's REV2 Mixing solution isn't based on coinshuffle but is similar enough that I thought it would be a good starting point to help get a basic understanding how XC's trust-less technology works.
Hey dan, I think the Q & A should be held in reddit so as many as possible can ask you questions directly, before that a topic in main BTC should be put for people to know you will be there. Deffo. Ama on reddit. What time or have I missed it?

lol, XC supporters, you try to use my example of XC multisig addresses to support your argument?? I created them to SHOW YOU what is a XC multisig address, since you never saw them before Now please show me in your **blockchain** a multisig address with transactions associated with it, so people can see how it worked. You don't create a multisig address for fun, you use it for some transactions. Can someone with the technical knowledge answer this as soon as possible please. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=741018.new#newThey are mixing apples and oranges, XC is trustless based on the signatures of all parties during the private transaction. Its not using MULTI_SIG N OF M Address's. The transactions are SIGNED BY ALL PARTIES, if any of the outputs are missing, then it is not signed by all parties. Here is an example of a private decentralized distributed multi-path transaction consisting of 4 parties. >>> http://chainz.cryptoid.info/xc/tx.dws?229236.htmcheers Dan.

Ok, to anyone who understands the tech and is saying "I could make a transaction myself and show you, but why dont you do it yourself." While a agree they should, can one of us just make a transaction to shut them up? Or tell me how to do it and ill do it myself. ta.
