461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCX Monero Attack _Failed_: XMR price climbing on: September 23, 2014, 07:12:17 PM
"it's over" ?

Did anything happen that is now done with?

yes bud

BitcoinEXpress claimed an attack that would *kill monero within 72 hours*.

72 hours are over, attack is over, and nothing happened BUT the price is rising. In other words: Utter Fail
462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / BCX Monero Attack _Failed_: XMR price climbing on: September 23, 2014, 07:07:56 PM
Ok guys, attack on Monero is over (I didn't see anything at all LOL), and price is already on recovery: +10%

I'm facepalming so hard over here, all the hot air for nothing at all, come on.

BCX is definitely the all time #1 laughingstock of Bitcointalk forever.

Moral of the story: Don't let retards like BCX fool you with their words

Now let's carry on and make Monero better and stronger than ever Smiley
463  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: September 23, 2014, 07:06:17 PM
It seems that Monero will not be able to fix the vulnerability in time.

I noticed today they added checkpoints in preparation for the attack: https://github.com/monero-project/bitmonero

So.. what does this mean? Will the checkpoints sufficiently defend against the attack?

You call this an attack? All the hot air FUD from BCX so he can buy in cheap? Come on CoinHoarder...

Price is already recovering.

464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero Exploit FUD: Developers Confirm NO DANGER on: September 22, 2014, 09:15:28 PM
"They will just rollback the chain"

Statements like that sure show how much the Monerotards "get it."

Roll back the chain once and whatever reputation your coin has it just goes down the drain.

this is bullshit, sometimes it's inevitable to roll back

FYI Bitcoin had to go for a rollback in the early days to fix a critical bug.

If Monero should ever be significantly damaged (very unlikely), bugs will be fixed and chain rolled back. Certainly nothing to worry much about.

Except for those who lost money due to the roll back, you mean? Sure.

That's life.
465  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: September 22, 2014, 07:19:20 PM
Maybe I'm in the minority about Moneroman88.  But in my opinion it was easy to tell he was anti monero from the very beginning.  At some point well before BCX telling everyone in the trollbox he was going to take XMR down - BCX KNEW this.

So.  In my opinion BCX is pretending to be provoked by the fake XMR supporter.

What's actually going on is anyone's best guess.

This is a BS conspiracy theory. I'm all for XMR and I'm one of the few that know BCX is using his Proof of Words tactic (this is his sole skill), yet certainly not Proof of Action. It's all hot air, see for yourself. We'll all have a great laugh once his wannabe-Attack has failed miserably and Monero's triumph has become clear. On top of that we'll all have scooped up real cheap XMR, so that's one point to be grateful for. Thanks BCX, you retard!
466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: An effort to save Monero and defend against BCX on: September 22, 2014, 07:17:22 PM
BCX could bribe one of the largest pools

LOL nifty boy ... apparently u aren't aware of the fact that BCX himself owns and operates one of the largest pools of all around

~CfA~

Oh I'm so frightened! Please go ahead and tell us BitcoinEXpress owns Ghash.io! I'm shaking!

You're a clown. Just one of those who'd believe *anything* that comes from BCX's mouth like a mindless tard

468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DON'T sell XMR Monero! There is NO exploit on: September 21, 2014, 04:02:27 PM
You must be either retarded or reptilia to buy this shitcoin in the first place.

I totally agree bud. This one is a real loser. Exploit or not. Although the exploit is real.

LOL, wannabes.

You two are the obvious losers here whereas rpietila is and has been extremely successful, nothing that can be said about you guys.

You obviously dont know me then.

If this is an attempt to imply that you're successful, I'm triple facepalming. If you honestly think running a pump and dump membership cult base for 2 BTC membership fee is success then I can't stop laughing. What an utter fail, LOL Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Bud.. My group and I see more btc in a week then you'll ever see in your life. I've been around for years and can tell when a coin is dead or dying.

This one is.

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
thanks for making my day, tard Cheesy Cheesy ROFL

Are you guys sure price will pump after a year or two?

This is an absolute no-brainer. Have you seen another coin with the best name, a top notch community, solid developers and the best technology? I haven't. All of this FUD lately will make it stronger than ever, whereas Bitcoin is continuing to fall hard. XMR isn't. It's not the average pump and dump crap, this is here for the long-term. For privacy. For REAL cryptocurrency adoption.
472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero Exploit FUD: Developers Confirm NO DANGER on: September 21, 2014, 03:43:34 PM
Couldn't have expressed it better myself, 100% agreeing:

This whole thing will turn out bad for those perpetrating it.  Hodlers will be rewarded.  Mark my words.
473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Monero Exploit FUD: Developers Confirm NO DANGER on: September 21, 2014, 03:39:34 PM
Look, if BCX has found an exploit he can pass it to the XMR dev team and they are going to patch their software accordingly immediately.

If it exists and BCX exploits it and messes up the blockchain for a few hours (which someone else already did a few weeks ago, nothing special), they're simply going to roll back the blockchain. They've already reviewed the ring signature algorithms ad nauseum, wrote internal memos on any weaknesses ad reviewed the difficulty algorithm.

All XMR holders ought to be grateful for the Bitcointalk Fud circus here giving us all a 3-month high of Poloniex volumes -- but let's not be surprised if the point of all this is just to rip the shirt off of a lot of people's backs.

There is no Danger in the *oh so dangerous* wannabe-Exploit. Cheap XMR (this was BCX goal after all) for everyone right now, good for even better distribution of the coin that already had hands down the best distribution. In just a matter of weeks/days all this FUD will be laughed upon and BCX will look even more like a retard than he's now.
474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero (XMR) Price Freefall on: September 21, 2014, 12:05:39 PM
LOL as if the price would ever go below 1$... What a retard
475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitcoinEXpress - self made legend? on: September 21, 2014, 12:04:29 PM
LOL another Moneroman88 alt.

~BCX~

Doubt, since this guy actually hold 100 moneros, and provide facts not just shil/troll/FUD.

It's utterly ridiculous that BCX is as paranoid to think that every single account speaking against him is one of mine. It's not, neither of these are my accounts. Beyond that it's utterly ridiculous to think I have only 100 XMR - I'm all in Monero and in the top list of holders yet I'm not worried the slightest bit about this temporary fall in price caused by trolling/FUDing from BitcoinEXpress to buy in himself. XMR is determined to skyrocket once this small story of the fake exploit is over and forgotten.

Way to go, BCX, FAIL. Thanks for further promoting Monero for the long-term success it manifests.
476  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: September 21, 2014, 09:49:58 AM
you are the only one I know that is able to deal with both the cryptomath and totally open to any type of attack being possible.

One with an open mind can see what others assume cant be there

James

James, with all due respect what you've just said is baseless and untrue.

We're completely open to any type of attack being possible, and I can assure you that we are cryptographically competent. To that end, we have and will continue to push out research like the Monero Research Lab bulletins that cover theoretical attacks and corner cases that may be impossible to practically pull off. We are not naïve enough to believe the CN reference code we inherited lacks flaws, nor are we stupid enough to believe in our infallibility. The code does have bugs, and may contain as-yet unknown issues, but we are quite confident in the maths and cryptography (as are gmaxwell et. al.), and have yet to see any evidence to the contrary.

Thus far we have seen AnonyMint / TheFascistMind merely redo our MRL-0001 research. We are waiting to see if he can add an additional amplification to it or not. Even so, it is unlikely that the MRL-0001 chain reaction has anything to do with this, as a "time warp" attack doesn't relate to it.

And, too, thus far we have seen no evidence that BCX actually has an exploit. All we have are disjointed breadcrumbs that don't fit an overall picture of how the proposed attack would play out. Given the lack of evidence we are certainly not discounting the remote possibility that there actually is an exploit, but just as with each of Bitcoin's 26 very serious exploits we will analyse an attack if there is one, patch it, and move on.

Between now and 60 hours time we are not going to "rapidly evolve" just because BCX claims he has an exploit but won't give us the technical details. We are, instead, going to continue our work on incrementally documenting and refactoring the codebase, as well as our independent research into edge-case cryptographic weaknesses, and deal with an attack if there is one.

Good man and awesome response.

Keep your head down and working and dont give the giant distractions waving their hands in the air the time of day to get your attention.  Grin

Word. No evidence, just words from Mr. Fat Mouth aka BCX.

there is no danger, no reason to sell
*clear enough?*

--- don't be so stupid to sell your XMR just because of this random Exploit FUD! BitcoinEXpress is simply doing this to buy in himself! ---
478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will happen with Monero? Will CyptoNote coins live or die? on: September 20, 2014, 11:29:07 PM
Major Bullshit I say

BCX just drives the price down with Fuding and Lying, once he's got his whale position the thing will skyrocket

Monero is for the long-term. This is not a short-term pump and dump shitcoin... In 1-2 years it has Bitcoin's position. Don't fall for this hoax dump, *don't* sell your XMR! It would be a huge mistake.
479  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: September 20, 2014, 11:26:44 PM
you're idiots if you're selling your XMR... BITCOINEXPRESS IS BUYING WHAT YOU DUMP

don't you get it, weak hands? there is no exploit...
480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCX trying to Exploit Monero XMR: LOL ??? on: September 20, 2014, 09:44:57 PM
I call bullshit but decide on your own? I'm certainly not going to dump my XMR cause of such levels of FUD. Another FUD-caused temporary crash won't worry me the slightest bit. Monero is for the long term, unlike BCX claims.

*Don't* join the fud and sell, stay smart!!
