464  Bitcoin / Project Development / Fractional Bitcoin Extraction Service. (micro mining contracts) on: July 11, 2011, 08:11:54 PM
Looking for some help with coding (I cant code much past hello world).

For now the service is Manual.

The problem: You have bitcions in an account, but not enough to trigger a dispersal. And the difficulty has gotten to high for it to attempt with your old GPU or cpu

you could have the small amount trapped in a mining pool, an exchange or some other site.

I will point my miner to your worker long enough to generate enough shares for a pay out.

you will need to provide a miner login and pass for me to mine on.  and either escrow the amount I need to mine, plus 10% of what I'm recovering, or give full access to your account (only works if pay out addy is not locked) and I will send you 90% of what was in there before I start mining.  API token would be helpful too.  OTC ratings might be used too.
Please keep your security comments to constructive criticism, I'm guessing if a person would use this service, they givin up on a mining account.

fee is 10% of what you are attempting to recover.  I keep whatever I generate.

currently I have about 1ghash/s available.

if I see enough interest I might set up a pool (useing the pool mining pool thats open sourced) for people to join that will work on recovering peoples small amounts, and reward the miners with a percentage of the recoveries.

opticbit.com currently has none of this service on it, depending on interest It will be on there, in the coming weeks/months.

467  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [Scam Alert] Global Standard Bank - the first Bitcoin bank? on: July 11, 2011, 07:14:09 AM
1btc monthly fee!?! no mention of how much intrest in the savings.

i generally like to give sites a chance, but not this one.  and the gov id requirements, what a pain/risk.

bccu.no-ip.org seems much better, even though i've had a problem with the loan/savings portion.
468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will never... reach either $5 or $20. Place your bets now! on: July 11, 2011, 07:02:48 AM
make it more interesting, $10/BTC to $20/BTC

i'm not so sure here but i would still bet $20
469  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Value At The End Of 2011? on: July 11, 2011, 06:52:59 AM
I think we will see a lot of action as we get close to block 210,000 and shortly after- when the rewards are cut in half.

i'm guessing our next peek will be around 50 usd, in the next few months then drop back to 20 - 30 usd, then up to 60 - 100 usd around the end of this year or beginning of next.

I don't know enough about the economy to make a good prediction, but this is what I see.

I'd like to see what the total value of all the currencies of the world are, and converted to USD, along with a combined inflation rate.  add in a BTC chart of the ratio of global adoption.

Anyone care to guess the value of a btc when we hit 21M?
470  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Mildly unimpressed with both MtGox and TradeHill on: July 11, 2011, 05:58:29 AM
why don't you start paying $10 per trade plus 1%.

or code it your self if you don't like it

for a start up I'm happy with what I'm getting at .5% and they are progressing nicely.

477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am giving away bitcoins! FOR FREE!! on: July 10, 2011, 08:26:34 PM
You sure got ours, but we already know about it.

A cryptic address like 157EqNHNSf82S8qjMhBDSsk6EUgzSbpdDv

I sure got your what ?

You sure got my attention. The rest of my posting was garbled, i don't know why  Smiley

Update:  So far this experiment has cost me nothing.. because none of my facebook connections have taken advantage of the offer.  I structured the giveaway to be affordable for me to pull off..  they must think there is a catch or something.  I'm offering to send them something for free, which they can keep, or I will immediately buy back for $10 per btc..

Please don't friend request me on facebook because of this post.. if you are doing that .. you missed the whole point.

I hope other people will try this experiment.. So far no one has accepted my free bitcoins. the fools. lol

Okay, i think i begin to understand what you are trying to do.

Only your friends on facebook will be able to post on your facebook site, is that correct? (i really don't know much about facebook, sorry)
And you offer them a reward of 2 BTC and subsequently less, once they post their respective bitcoin addresses with you. Right?
That actually makes sense.

But that could be improved. Create an instawallet at https://www.instawallet.org/ with the 2 BTC sitting in it.

Publish the link to that instawallet on your facebook site, so that only your friends can see it.

They simply need a valid bitcoin address and can transfer the contents of that instawallet (or whichever portion of it they like) to their own bitcoin address.

That way, they could claim those bitcoins without having the feeling that they begged from you.

I set something like this up a wile ago, but didn't tell my fb friends about it, maybe I should.

14KF98JRK9tEMM22eQU4URBPZykQgaNmHP  if you'd like to check it in block explorer, or donate

I called it the BTC cent/penny Dish.  I'll have to set up a new one and only tell my FB friends, if i announce it here it will be empty in a few minutes.

478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Unit Colour Chart on: July 10, 2011, 07:20:09 PM
Great Idea, I think some play needs to be done with the colors.

Resistor color coding come to mind,

but I don't want to look at a rainbow, and might make BTC look gay and deter some users.

and don't forget about the numbers to the left of the decimal.
479  Economy / Gambling / Re: [1 BTC] Bitcoin Doubler, plus referral program. on: July 10, 2011, 09:55:49 AM
I haven't been paid out yet, and I don't expect to any time soon.

its been at 76 paid entries for a few days now, and need to hit ~150 for me to get paid.

I have however made back my "investment" in referrals, most of them came from btcbubble i think.
