Things appear to be back to normal. Thanks RR!

I'm wondering if it's the result of being a backup pool for people that kicks in when their main pool has issues.

This is me, and I'm sure i'm not alone. Are you considering going DGM? If so, I'll be disappointed. I love this as a backup, and if MtRed keep going down like it has, I'll be here permanently. I prefer PPS than any other method because I can't guarantee uptime on my miners, so i dont' want to be penalized for that downtime.

What miner are you using? MtRed shows your hashrate based on shares submitted.

So is this 100% PPS ? Where do I sign up?

Go to the website:

Hey RR, there's a guy on the Mtred Subreddit looking for assistance with an auto payment:

He can't post here, so I'm posting it for him.

Ok figured out the auto fan thing. Just need to start the application with the --auto-fan switch. Now I just use afterburner for clocks and voltages.
467  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: CGMiner - Can't underclock memory or voltage, keep settings on: August 18, 2012, 12:44:34 AM
I'm trying to get CGMiner to work, because I'll need it for the FPGA board I'm gonna be mining on when it gets here. Phoenix can't do it, so I'm relying on CGminer.

Some info:

Win 7 HP 64Bit
Display drivers 8.98 (don't have catalyst control panel installed, I find it's just bloat.)

What else would you need?
468  Bitcoin / Mining support / CGMiner - Can't underclock memory or voltage, keep settings on: August 17, 2012, 11:32:12 PM
I'm using CGMiner 2.6.5 with my 6870 and 7770 and 6550D. When I use phoenix2, I normally rely on Afterburner to boot with the system to change voltage and clocks. It works great. Now I'm trying to get CGminer set up, I can set the engine clocks fine, but no memory or voltage changes will take effect. Also when I try to set the fan autotune, and then save the config file, when I restart, the fans are just going full blast again, nowhere near the target temps.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I may give it a try when I get my MMQ.

It really depends on the quantity you order, most people who order right now will receive the unit within 2-4 weeks, I have a production run ending at the end of next week and that will knock out a lot of the people who have been waiting.

As far as the tricone Bitstream it is something that we are currently working on, I hope to meet with Eldentyrell next week to take it to the next level.

Thanks for your interest in the ModMiner Quad and if you have futher questions please feel free to email me at tom@btcfpga.com

Tom

Sounds good! Just made an order for one Quad. I was curious. How much power does the board need for all 4 daughter cards?  I have a wall wart that outputs power to a molex connector 12V @ 2A and 5V @ 2A. Would a power supply with these specs be enough? It would just be smaller than using the ATX PSU I have set aside for it.

Has anyone tried a Modminer with this? Looks like an ideal low power solution.
472  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Phoenix 2 Miner v2.0.0 on: August 17, 2012, 01:44:57 AM
Any plans to support FPGA boards?

Also, when I try to start CPU mining, I get a "Fatal Error: Failed to load OpenCL kernel" I checked and it's there in the plugins folder.

Thanks! Love the software!

Is this normal for "pool began":

Yes. There have been stability problems with MtRed since the beginning over a year ago. Chill out. It's a 0 Fee PPS pool, If you want more stability, switch to a pool that charges fees.

Hey Tom, What's your current approximate wait time from order to shipping? Also, what's the status of the firmware supporting the 1gh/s (Tricone) bitstream?

I'm looking forward to ordering a quad when I return from a business trip, looks like a fantastic product!

Again the pool is offline, this happens very often last 10 days.

It has happened often since the pool began, it's just a fact of using MtRed, IMO. Just make sure you have some decent backup pools in your miner, and you'll be fine.

Power's out where I am, so my meagre 500 Mhash/s is out of the game for now.

Since this is pplns pool you will eventually earn nothing due to being disconnected, just remember that.

Haha you think I'm happy about this?

go to mtred.com and it is listed there. It's usually reward divided by difficulty, with block fees added on top once it's solved.

If the pool gains a bit more hashrate I might point another .5GH/s here, I like small pools, when they finally find a block I make a lot at once, its more fun waiting for it Grin

Well now that Digi brought his hashes, we're at about 7.5 Gh/s
