Yeah, I was even thinking of betting on the Lakers that time, but luckily I didn't pull the trigger. And it takes Murray in the 4th quarter to make a run against the Lakers and its enough to get them this big win and move 2-0.

So it's really hard for the Lakers to stop Jokic and  Murray, these two are doing the damage, so they will have to find a solution to either stop anyone of them in this series, otherwise it might be over in 5 games, in my opinion.

They need to find ways to make a good stop as both super stars are really making the damages.

Though they lost the game but it seems that they are really bringing all the best and now that the game will be inside crypto.com
the chance of winning might increase for the Lakers.

They need to win to extend the series and to protect the home court crowd. Fans will expect for the full house Lakers to come
out with good game plan and executions.
462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People with quick rich attitude always mess up with alt coins on: May 18, 2023, 02:50:02 PM
I have mentioned multiple times in past here that people should be cautious with alt coins. If some coin has moved up like 100% or more in just 24 hours, it does not mean that you should also purchase the coin. You should first understand the reason behind prices moving up. Then, you should also analyze the benefits and demerits of the project.

Does everyone is reading what you have posted in the forum or does everyone hear from you? Unfortunately, not all, and even though some people read it, still commit mistakes by investing useless coins due to the influence of social media and some known personalities. I would say that no matter what we do, things like this will happen to someone else, especially for greedy people as it was hard for them to think twice. They can make decisions right away without thinking about the possible risk and losses that awaits them. And yes, it really happens...

Absolutely, even there is a lot of information regarding to this, not everyone will follow.

We will continue to see people who will be lazy and will still follow this kind of attitude towards this investment, thinking that by one luck
they will change their life forever, same concept with gambling. They are thinking that if they will invest with new project and that project will pump hard, then the money will multiply to the value that beyond their imaginations.
463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: May 18, 2023, 02:24:48 PM
I'm seeing that if this fight is not going to be made, then maybe we will not see this happening this year and it might be too late for Donaire, in my opinion. Just a year added to Donaire's age might be huge.

Just saw a newsfeed in my social media account stating that a trainer of a gym in Cebu City is helping Donaire train for his upcoming fights, so i think that Donaire will be fighting this year but what caught my attention on that news (though not official) is that Donaire will be fighting Alexandro Barrios and not Alejandro Santiago whom we are speculating that the Filipino Flash will be fighting, that maybe the reason on the delay of the fight of Donaire as WBC might be shopping for his new opponent.

Quote
Doc J is helping Nonito Donaire Jr. prepare for his upcoming WBC bantamweight championship fight against Alexandro Barrios

That's great news! It adds some hope to the possibility of Donaire being able to fight this year. Regardless of who his opponent is, what's important is that he will have the opportunity to fight. We know he is not getting any younger, and if he successfully wins a championship, I believe Donaire will become more aggressive in challenging other champions to become a unified champion. The only boxer who has defeated him in this division has already moved up, so there's no one to hinder his path. However, as I mentioned, he needs to act quickly.

Yeah, It's better to know that he's preparing now, and that's simply saying that the fight will happen.

Let's see if there's any available update in coming days or months after seeing that Donaire is starting his conditioning training and we will going to find out if who will be the opponent between Barrios and Santiago as the OP's title might be change if the confirmation will be against Barrios and for sure Donaire will bring something to this fight to continue entertaining his fans and all those people who are hoping for him to bring the belt back.
464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: May 18, 2023, 01:42:22 PM
On the other hand, we haven't seen Inoue really being tested, the closest is against Donaire the first fight. But Nonito was somewhat late in charging in that fight and that Inoue has belt a good lead in the judges scorecard. So there's a lot of scenario here, if Fulton manage to survive Inoue's power then maybe it will make the fight more interesting.

Yes, that was the only fight where Inoue faced some difficulties, but in the end, he still emerged victorious via unanimous decision by making necessary adjustments despite being injured. When we compare Stephen Fulton to Nonito Donaire, I believe the latter holds more popularity, so I don't have high expectations for Fulton. However, I don't want to underestimate Fulton, but based on my personal prediction, I think this will be another relatively easy fight for Inoue.
We can base our opinions on how we think the fighter got his edge over his opponent.

But we also need to remember that there are always upset that may happen from how we assess the outcome of this fight. Inoue
might have that advantage, but Fulton as a current champ from this division may full that triggered and make a good defense on
his current belt. We never know what's his capabilities are and how he will prepare for this upcoming fight.
465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 18, 2023, 01:12:32 PM
Tomorrow, we have the Nuggets vs. Lakers game 2.

The spread is -5.5 in favor of the home team, with a total of 227 points.

Last time, it resulted in a push as the Nuggets were -6 during game time. However, this time, I don't think the line will move, so it's better to choose our sides now. I'm thinking the Nuggets will still win at home and might cover the spread. I know the Lakers were able to find a solution to their problem in the second half of game 1, but I'm also confident that the Nuggets will make adjustments.

Regarding the total score, I'm going under.

Lakers indeed find that counterattack, but time is not a good friend, and Nuggets survive that run.

Handicap is decent if you are a Nugget fan as how they play the game might give some edge as they also playing at home, and just like
how you anticipate Nuggets coaching staff may find that best adjustments to secure again the win.

Everything is possible and we don't know what will happen as both teams are playing their best trying to win this series,
a matter of good executions of plays and how players will take the defensive sides.
466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 18, 2023, 12:37:51 PM
Damn! I am sure Jimmy Butler burned a lot of bettors' money in today's game 1 with Boston. Jimmy Butler looks good in a regular season game but is excellent when it comes to the playoffs where it matters most. And Miami Heat despite a roster with only 1 superstar and less support compared to the other top teams are always a dark horse when it comes to the playoffs. It's a good thing I did not bet against Jimmy and will just watch their games. I still think Boston is the favorite to win the series, they're just too well-rounded and deep.

It's been years now that Miami Heat despite its roster continues to over-perform. I wonder when is the time the management becomes serious in bringing help to Jimmy. Jokic got his reinforcements this season, hopefully, Jimmy gets his next season.

Jimmy got the best backup that he needs. We are seeing how his teammates play the way he wanted.

I see how Bam and the rest of the squad support every play Jimmy wants. Look at all of them. They are all ready when Jimmy attacks
they know that there's a chance that the ball will land on their hands.

They are ready to take it and what is good from them. They are confident and not afraid to take the shot, and adding to that, they are
all fighting for offensive rebounds.

There is a famous saying that " Buy when alot of people sell and sell when alot of people buy" by following these saying you will always be in profit. Now it's bear season and you should accumulate all of your favorite coin at every dump through DCA  before bull season and wait till rise of Bitcoin to his new All Time High for decent profit, but my suggestion will to choose only Bitcoin to accumulate because rather than him most of alt not even touch his ATH..

Following that statement, you also need to have a better knowledge about how the market works.

By doing your research, the chance of making some decent money once the market start to grow is possible if your timing in buying
while there's a lot of dumps happen's around.

It's not easy as it is since there's always fear that will give you hesitations to buy and hold, more on how you will do your research
and how will you follow the market to keep yourself updated.

Here's the updated Lakers vs Nuggets series odds.

You see the betting odds for the Lakers? They are quite high, offering a significant payout if they end up winning the series.

This presents another opportunity for those who have confidence in the Lakers, especially since they are only down 1 game in the series.

A good opportunity to earn if you are a Lakers believer, the odd is very sweet if you think they can still win this one.

Not a Nuggets fan here, but the winning chance is really good for them as they've got all the core and role players who are playing
all the best that they know about winning games.

We all witness that from both past series against Wolves and Suns, let see if they can continue that strong game and lead there
way to the finals.
469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 17, 2023, 11:50:36 AM

Despite being a huge underdog, it's worth taking a risk on the Heat because we know they won't give up easily. They reached the NBA Finals in the bubble, and Butler has been delivering the best playoff performance of his career this offseason. I'm confident he won't be stopped by the Celtics. The Heat are playing with great discipline, and everyone is contributing to their defensive efforts.

So, why not? Let's go Heat!

The Heat has been in this situation before and surely they know what they were lacking in their past games against the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals last season they will more likely gonna change their rotations and will gonna do the right thing this time. they are the real torn for the Celtics to get back to the NBA finals once again this year and they really need to work harder to beat this healthy Miami Heat. Since the Lakers have already beaten the GSW my attention is on this one because these teams will not gonna give an easy win to each other, especially in this first game of this series.

Yeah, home-court advantage is a pride for all the teams that will go to play this series.

I also agree that both teams will go to adjust and will look for a better plays to execute knowing that they are playing against
the best team to move forward to this conference finals.

It's tough to say if who's going to win from both sides of the conference, even you are already up by 2 games in your home-court
the chance of getting even when you start playing on a road game will give the opponents a chance to win and tie the series.
470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 16, 2023, 06:28:00 PM
On that particular statement from Embiid, that's not the way an MVP should talk.

Just be a gentleman and never to point your finger to anyone, something that he needed to work on while taking the early vacation
after being eliminated, they've got that chance in game 6 almost winning that game if he just takes it over and force his way to make
some solid attacks. But things happened and nothing can be change now, do the hard work and keep trying to blend with your teammate
instead of saying something that is out of context.
He should just accept their loss and just move on. Although it's kind of hard to move on when they're almost there but fell short. They just have to come back stronger next season.
They're not the only team that has lost in this conference and the majority of them are already now having their own personal activities and for sure many are already focusing on their next season's performances. I know that frustration is there, he should just be set and happy having and being the MVP for this season.

Yes, same with how I see that. He should be moving forward without anything inside him.

For sure his teammates not just Harden are all wanted to win the series, they all are trying but Boston is more aggressive to win
it and just like what I mentioned, they almost have it at home in game 6 but the leadership and the trust from Tatum's squad gives
him the confidence to take those shots to snatch the game and force the game 7, then win the semis.
471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 16, 2023, 07:56:12 AM
Miami with 3% is just ridiculous. Obviously Boston is the better team ans aldo has home court advantage but in a 7 game series everything can happen.

Who would have thought they kick out Gianni and the Bucks? Not many people.

Another funny story at the moment is the press conference statements by Joel Embiid saying " me and Harden, we can't win alone" .
It's just hilarious, especially looking at Harden. He had 2 good games vs Boston with 42 and 45 points, in the other 5 games combined he had 67 points, that's not even a 14 ppg average.  Roll Eyes

Joel shouldn't talk after that game 7 performance. 5/18 from the field and not even double digit rebounds.  Grin

Just saw this funny skid about that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGw3sxKaBBc

On that particular statement from Embiid, that's not the way an MVP should talk.

472  Economy / Economics / Re: Benefit from Higher Education? on: May 15, 2023, 07:09:42 PM
Higher education is obviously helpful for entrepreneurship since it provides the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed. However, it requires a lot of education and research to gain that knowledge and after completing your education, the hardest part is putting that knowledge into practice. I suggest attending as many interesting seminars or meetings related to entrepreneurship to gain more knowledge and insights. Then, you can start your own small business and see if it works using the knowledge and skills you have acquired.
~snip~
Statistically, 95% of entrepreneurs have a bachelor's degree or higher and I wonder, for those of you who are involved in entrepreneurship, how useful was higher education for you?
This is normal and obvious because being a successful entrepreneur requires a sharp and clear mind as well as the ability to communicate with people and implement effective plans. In fact, education is essential and I have never heard of a successful entrepreneur who wasn't educated.

Yes, PR is important and the advantages in having higher education is you are more confident communicating.

You have the right skills to promote and sell your product or services as you have that knowledge
or better to say a communicative skill that can bring the attentions of your target venue to earn the
trust and interest, listening to what you are promoting.

Not all needs higher education and that's no secret at all, there are people who can be successful by
doing extra efforts to learn the right process.
473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: May 15, 2023, 12:40:12 PM

Anyway, for Casimero, he's becoming more and more used to his new weight class and I think he can still improve his performance on his way for the championship belt. He still got some room left before he can face one of the champions before one of them will unify it. Still rooting for him to have that chance especially now that he got successive wins.

Indeed, he still have a lot of room for improvements IF he will cut on his social media involvement like vlogging and things like that. I honestly not satisfied of his performance yet and I'm not convinced  that it was a good win. I feel like he still have something in his tank better than what he just showed us with the Nghitumbwa fight. He seems like short on stamina. I think he needs more focus in practice and body conditioning especially now that he's gradually picking up the pace and building up momentum to win the future fights.

I agree, in the first fight of his career at 122 lbs, we didn't see the best of Casimero as Akaho quit. But this time, he was really push to the limit, but we have seen that he can still carry his power in this division when he throw that left hook and caught Nghitumbwa on the chin.

But if we are going to say see Casimero with his version right now? it might be a difficult fight for him in my opinion. He still needs of that timing, but at least in this fight, he has seen full 12 rounds already and he might have to rethink their training so that he will have more gas left in the fight is going to be extended the whole 12 rounds. But as we have said, this is still a win for him.

Yeah, he and his camp need to rethink about their fighting strategy.

I'm not saying that he was being exposed as Nghitumbwa really fighting so well and manage to absorb his solid punches
it is something that his camp needs to work with proper the executions.

More on picking the timing of solid combinations
and to make it sure that it will take more follow-ups. Not an easy fight and good thing that he manages to continue and
not to run out of gas.
474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 15, 2023, 12:29:14 PM
[.....]
For me, Tatum and Jaylen Brown is the best duo in the league and it will take a lot from Miami to step either one of them.
It looks like an easier win for the Celtics if you looks at the roster for each team. Heat has Buttler and not so many great individual players unlike the Sixers who have Embiid and Harden. They have Lowry but they can't really rely on him the entire series and I bet he'll be out injured in one or two games.

I think it's another difficult match up in reality. Celtics have more talented players but Heat plays really good as a team and they hustle. This could be a six or seven game series.

I like that analysis, Celtics got a lot of talents, but Heat always surprises us.

Personally, I like the match up as the game will not only be the core, but it is more on team efforts and good play executions,
both teams are known help each other, both offense and defense. They are all willing to share and really give everything to
win the game, so it's an interesting rematch of the bubble let see who's going to win this ECF finals.
475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 14, 2023, 02:04:19 PM

Maybe they are expecting more as they traded and got KD. But Monty did try his best, but I think him and Ayton has issues, I still remember last season wherein he and Ayton has somewhat not understanding each other.

But as what we have seen, Ayton got injured and that's it, the chances of the Suns to overcome Jokic went out of the window. I think Ayton will be traded, I have a feeling that with the way he show again this playoff, the Suns management might have seen the last straw and probably get a new set of center for the Suns.

If they will keep Booker, KD and CP3, they needed to have a good strong and reliable center.

Ayton way back when they reached the finals was really expected to bring that position filled but with how he played for the past two years I'm also on that same thoughts that the Suns management will trade him and will aim a reliable big man to help the trio of KD, Booker and CP3, still have a good chance next season if they will start working it out with the new head coach that they'll going to work with.
476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: May 14, 2023, 01:56:11 PM
Congratulations to John Riel Casimero defeating Fillipus Nghitumbwa via decision to claim the WBO Global Super Bantam. Props to Nghitumbwa "the Energy" who really lives up to this code name. I can't believe this guy survived those power punches and combos from Casimero for 12 rounds, that's a lot of damage but he managed it. And also, I'm a little disappointed with the performance of Casimero he really needs to double up his training for his upcoming matches to shut up his critics.

With that experienced fighting against a good and powerful fighter, Nghitumbwa will have a good future.

I guess it's not Casimero's fault it just so happened that the opponent are really strong and can absorb those solid combinations, Casimero' attacks shows that he's aiming to impress the fans but it didn't materialize as Nghitumbwa is not willing to give the fight as easy as it has been expected by most fans.

Professional help only helps a little because there is a time limit in helping, and indeed the most helpful and influential are the people closest to him. Like family, partners, friends and others, because they will always be with us and can help prevent it if they care.
Professionals can help if the person who is already addicted is willing to admit that he is suffering from addictions,
close relatives and friends are those who can assist him to realize that problem and when the person is ready to
accept it will be easy to cure this as self-will is the best solution to quit away from addictions.
Quote
and indeed when we are addicted to something it is very difficult for us to overcome, it is better not to get used to it and in the end it can become addicted.
Very difficult as you always have the reason when you are not willing to admit that there's already a problem
inside you that's already un-controllable.
Quote
And to limit it we can create new activities that can be done on the sidelines of our busy life, so that we forget about addiction and all of that there must still be intention and determination for addicts.
You can divert your attentions with the help of your love ones' you'll be able to keep yourself busy away from
thinking about any gambling related activities.
478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: May 13, 2023, 10:40:03 AM
Fillipus Nghitumbwah is a very tough customer for Casimero but Casimero still gets the win via a unanimous decision Scores were 114-112, 116-110, 116-110., Casimero scores a knockdown against Nghitumbwah and a point deduction for Nghitumbwah for a rabbit punch causing him the match, Casimero looks slow but still shows that he can still land big punches.
I think Casimero needs one or two more tune fights ring rust shows on this match he may not be ready for title match based on what he shows.

Unexpected outcome, as most of the fans thinks that Casimero will easily KO Nghitumbwa.

The result is good for those who pick UD as the winning profits is decent, personally I was in the impression that Casimero will make a blowout but Nghitumbwa absorbing those solid punches and continue to stand up it's really a good way to challenge the greatness of
Casimero,

I value your opinion as how we witness the fight seems that Casimero will need some more tune up or if ever the organization
gives him that chance to challenge the champ. We never know what he might bring inside the ring. Congrats to all the winners!
479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 13, 2023, 10:29:34 AM
^ No game 6 Klay, I thought he will be the one helping Steph in this game, but it was Donte DiVincenzo. Bad time for the Warriors to really caught up with their bad shooting.

On the other hand, the Lakers doesn't want to go to game 6, Bron and AD, Austin Reaves and D'Lo wanted to finished the series.

You really have to give it to their new coach for the adjustments here. And Pat Beverly and Russell Westbrook chance to get a ring is still alive with the Lakers eventhough they are no longer with them as far as I know.

Bad shooting night for the rest of the Warriors, aside from Steph, who really did try everything but ends up short.

The defense of lakers is really sticky. They did not give any easy shot most are being contested,
they adjust to whatever the Warriors will try to come back in the game, before the end of the 3rd
Steph did some run to almost cut the lead in a single digit game, but Lakers' coach is good
calling a time out to break the momentum.

We will go to see a rematch between Nuggets and Lakers, no Howard to bother Jokic,
it will be Davis against Jokic two superstars that we will expect to bring everything as it is the conference
finals, one more series then world title will be their next journey.
480  Economy / Economics / Re: Quit borrowing on: May 13, 2023, 10:14:43 AM
Currently borrowing has indeed become a kind of common thing and is done a lot. Economic pressure that is increasingly not easy. High inflation and no significant increase in salary have been the triggers why our salary sometimes cannot meet all our daily needs for a month. So some people are forced to take loans to cover the shortfall. and that is a natural and common thing to do. And when our salary is no longer sufficient for our daily needs, the solution is to find additional income. with side jobs and such. I also did that and it became effective for me so I could avoid loans and pay off every loan I made in the past. At first it's not easy but when we get used to working more hours in our daily life then eventually we will get used to it.
The price of goods and needs is increasing, while the salary that has been determined will not be able to increase significantly because several companies have arranged this. What can workers do when inflation is higher, while a month's needs will not be enough with the income they get?

That's the best solution with additional income because if we don't try to do this and only rely on the main income then of course it won't be enough, people can be successful because there is additional income and they can manage well by investing, whereas if what is get a little then it needs to be arranged again will be more enough what is needed.

Making a loan won't be a problem as long as we can fulfill it when we have to pay installments and don't burden it even more.
Correct. And the point is we have to be smart in measuring the limits of our financial ability or resilience before making a loan. Because making loans without measuring the ability to pay in the future is a careless thing that can make someone feel that it is not easy to pay off the loan they have taken. And the important point of having extra income is because we want to avoid loans. And so that we have more money that we can save or invest for a better future for ourselves.

Most mistake or most thing that happened to people who loan money is they are being pushed to ask for more,

I mean, if they can repay the first loan, they will be forced to loan again to cover the first one,
meaning to say that it will be a never ending debt that they needed to cover from time to time.

Limiting or analyzing your capability is very important, if you are borrowing just because you wanted to
buy material thing, it's better to save money and try to reach the amount and buy only when you already
have that spare out of your savings.

It's the wise and responsible way of managing your finances. Buy what you can afford and save if you
wanted to have something and not to loan money for it.
