461  Other / Off-topic / Re: Board games, do you play and your favorites on: April 09, 2019, 08:33:26 AM
Ofcourse first and foremost is Chess Board games since my father teaches me this game when i was 3 years old and this is the only board gane that we play together as family, until i learn Millionaires Game,Scrabble and Snakes and Ladders lol

Until know i'd still prefer chess or checkers over any other board games. Chess is like playing poker, though there's less chance that you'll be bailed out by luck. There even was a time when my brother and i spent the new year's even playing non stop chess lol. It does sharpen the mind and makes you think ahead, something you can do in real life.
462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do none of you feel guilty? on: April 09, 2019, 08:30:02 AM
No, I do not think I'm guilty. Because gambling is not a crime.

This is the finest answer I read so far, yeah, gambling is not a crime, we should not feel guilty.
Although it could lead to a crime if someone gets addicted and make him out of control of his life in gambling, but it's his failure, not us.
That will be his mistake because we never suggest him to do a crime to get the money to gamble. We only tell about gambling and the rest of that will be his decision. Besides that, we never ask him to join us to play some games in the gambling website because we don't know how good he can control his self.
True, because gambling is risky therefore one should be responsible in order to have fun in gambling.
If you are not responsible, you will likely being addicted and that addiction would bring you so much trouble in life, depends on how serious it is but addiction at the first stage or the start of addiction, poses risk to damage your finances already.

I haven't had any considerable losses that will affect my life outside my bets so nothing to feel guilty about that. I even had friends and family cheer me on when i play poker at times so nope, i feel fine and confident. Guilt only comes in when you know what you're doing will have a negative consequence.
463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling addiction also a result of trauma? on: April 08, 2019, 04:29:50 PM
It might be true because people with traumatic experience tend to diversify their attention to other activities wherein they can feel at ease or somehow forget temporarily their bad experience.

But gambling is not often their option, because those people that I know with such experience find alcohol as the answer for their problem that led to addiction.

I think majority of gamblers who became addicted in gambling are those who treat it as their source of income, after losing they chase their losses to recover it back then failed. Lets admit the fact that they thought it as easy money.
Gambling can really give out that easy money that you seek but in exchange its also the easy way to be poor too which would lead to trauma when you experience hardship that comes to a point on where you havent anything left even just for food that circumstance will really give a big impact to your emotion and recovery on such thing wont really be that easy.
Failure and causing our assets to disappear will certainly cause a trauma. This is a necessity that we need to know. The risk of gambling is really great, but as long as we have good ability to maintain good emotional control we can take care of this. The gambling game is actually very fun, but when the person is unable to control properly then that will make it difficult for someone's life. So do emotional control well so that we will be able to get a pleasure.
At first place we do play gambling for the sake of entertainment but if you are already disrupting yourself into stress on playing it then I don't see any point for you to play gambling. You know that you are short tempered or do easily got affected when you do loss money then gambling isn't really for you. There are lots of things that do entertain without the need of spending too much money.

Traumatized people look for or need any outlet they can get and gambling easily can be one of those. Easily accessed, doesn't need other people's  approval, fun and can quickly pass time. The sad part there is, one traumatizing  experience can lead to another. Most traumatized people aren't emotionally stable yet and gambling can just be another emotional bomb waiting to go off.
464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been able to resist? on: April 08, 2019, 04:19:13 PM
Gambling is not just kind of prohibited drugs, adrenaline, cocaine or even ecstasy that you can blame it because you are in a stage of addiction. You can actually resist that matter by doing self-discipline that you can't let gambling control you. Chasing lose is one of the reasons why people keep doing gambling even they know they can't win the house edge and that's what we called greediness.

Again it's easy for us to say that because we're not in their position. We're not feeling the urges they feel so we can simply say that they can stop if they want to. Its not as simple as that. I've known friends and acquaintance who were unfortunate enough to be dealing with gambling addiction. They want to quit because its affecting their family and personal life but they're having withdrawals when they try not to gamble for a day. So it's not that simple.
465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Just another gambling strategy! on: April 08, 2019, 04:13:05 PM
If this strategy was working also I do not trust and investment on trusting only the strategies because if you put the investment using this strategy it will not been so for gambling so if you want to be we make your success possible you need to be luck and time
It is luck that do determine either you win or lose in gambling and it is why it is not base on strategies.  Losing five time before winning will ever keep you at loses. If we really desires to make profits from the gambling we have to reduce our risk in other to bet more.

If you lose 5 times and then you win 6th bet then you will recoup your previous losses. That's the point. Your winnings will be your profit.

That will happen if you're constantly doubling your next bets. If you're using the same amount and lost 5 times, then won the 6th time, you're still in very big deficit. That kind of strategy would only work for people who have a lot of money for their capital. And even then it doesn't work fot a stretched amount of time.
466  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sportsbet.io banned me for no reason on: April 08, 2019, 04:09:51 PM
I see nothing wrong with what he did. So, I am wondering why his account was banned. Not unless, he had done something that might be suspicious for the team. Or, the team it self might have no plan on paying huge withdrawal that's why thwy flagged his account. We don't know which is which, or whether if this is a legitimate event or posted to tarnish the sites credibility.

OP account was been flagged based on double spending. For your information and clarity check below thread created by the OP https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5080005.msg48444142#msg48444142. He cheated on Sportsbet.io gambling platform, that is why OP account was banned.

Well if that's the case then sportsbet.io had the right to ban the account. I've been aware of that gambling site for quite a while now and probably joined their bounty back then so i've pretty much visited their site already which was a decent gambling site for starters. And i don't think their site mods would just randomly ban dudes for no reason or if no agreement wad violated.
467  Economy / Speculation / Re: 'Bitcoin will run up to $5,000 by May' on: April 08, 2019, 03:53:49 PM
Already the price of bitcoin crossed more than 5000$ in the month of April itself only, we should wait and see how far the price of bitcoin will be in the month of may. Maybe many people are predicting the price of bitcoin will cross more than 6000$, we have to wait and see how far this market trend will move upwards.

The thing with a positive market is that everybody seems to be looking forward to a continous run. We also have to consider the possibility that it may turn back and plunge. That's what happened last november when the price was steady at 6k then almost went back to 8k. Everybody's talking about a bull run and a return to ath but what happened is we were thrust below to new lows.
468  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Winter is Over - Spring has Come on: April 08, 2019, 03:50:35 PM
Hold your horses. Don't be so sure just yet. The market can make a fool out of us if we get too excited. I'd really like to think that it's all over now and we can relax and watch our btcs grow slowly. The only problem is that the market has given me false hopes quite a number of times before. But it seems we're settling i this new support line which is 5k and it's a good sign.
469  Economy / Speculation / Re: Investors and HODLERS in the world, don't look for further lows!! on: April 08, 2019, 03:47:42 PM
It seems that that would be the scenario for the next few days at least but who knows. Even if we're already out of the bear market there still will be corrections for every good run that we make. People must realize that these are temporary dips to balance the market so they won't panic. They'd likely drag th whole market down if we get weak hands selling again.
470  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bearish road over? on: April 08, 2019, 03:43:58 PM
I think it's enough if we assume that it will even go further down
For now I think bitcoin is more of a bullish trend than bearish market.  I expected a more upwards movement than the bearish one and the assumption that bitcoin is going to go down more than it is up now may not going to happen and I have tried to read and listening to most of the speculators and their views on the current happening and I see are common is that the market has recovered and the bearish trend is over and we should expect slow but a steady upwards movement in bitcoin pricing.
in any case, one can definitely say that at the end of 2018 a bear market is possible to end, since it was after this time, namely from the beginning of 2019, that the market began to show good results. Perhaps slowly, but there is still a positive trend.

This kind of movement started around the end of february when we're playing around the 3.8 to 3.9k levels and then broke when it made more than an 800 jump in a few hours. I've read some articles that a single transaction bought in millions of dollars in btc. If a few more of those buy ins happen then a real fomo run can occur and only then can we really say that the trend has reversed.
471  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does any body know what happened to today's price? on: April 08, 2019, 03:39:47 PM
The price has grown $5000+ and this time it is completely change from the bear trend to bull market. Though it isn't a perfect bull market it provides similar form of growth that can be seen while the market trend is bullish. After crossing the $5000, there isn't much growth. A stabilized form of growth is happening and expect this to take the price reach $6000 before the ongoing month end.

Can't be too certain about that bro.  And the price currently has stradied itself just around the  5k to 5.1k level. Not very bullish to me. But way better than our status the same time last month. We're still at almost midpoint this point and it's looking pretty good and hopefully thus positive price move brings in some more investors and new money.
472  Economy / Speculation / Re: "Buy the dip" is only a strategy for losers on: April 08, 2019, 03:29:02 PM
That's what beginners thought about bitcoin. I was once a noob and that was what I believe before. Not until I discover technical analysis. And yeah you were right, if it hit the lowest price it just means that it is possible that it will have another dip. And we can not blame newbies in cryptocurrency. We all experienced being noob before and i must say that it is a part of growing up in crypto world.

Sounds like a better plan for me though than follow fomo. Even if you do TA, it'll always end up better when you when the price drops. Even if it does drop some more. They key is to have an exit plan as well that's well above the amount you bought in. It might sound cliche but i don't think it's a bad idea to get in the market during low value times.
473  Economy / Speculation / Re: THE FOMO! on: April 08, 2019, 10:05:15 AM
I said much bigger because I believe the "FOMO" mentality is not just another 500 bucks or a thousand dollars, it is gonna be something much bigger, I don't know if it will happen sometime soon but everything looks amazing for bitcoin so it could definitely skyrocket soon, maybe today, maybe tomorrow, maybe a week but it looks like it will certainly happen.

When that happens we will definitely be above 7000+ for sure, that is why I think that next FOMO will be around 9 thousand dollars or so, anything above 10k is very risky because it could fall back very hard but if it reaches around 9k than the fall would be slower and it will be just going back to something over 7 thousand dollars and that is a responsible increase and decrease for the life of bitcoin. Lets hope I am right because anything less or more will not be good for us.

Even at 7k, it's already very risky. People just came from a long exhausted bear market and many of those who got beat by it would want to get out the moment they get profit. It's likely the fear of getting caught in a dump is now greater than the fear of missing out.
474  Economy / Speculation / Re: I SMELL FOMO on: April 08, 2019, 10:02:05 AM
What's your opinion on this?? Bitcoin seems too be accumulating value since Tuesday morning... the bull is here.. ?? Or it's bait??
To me the bull is here and it is not FUD or FOMO.  We can see steady grow in bitcoin and others cryptocurrencies market price since the middle of last month and it is still growing.  Bitcoin may cross $6000 this week and it means if you have bitcoin you should keep holding it.
If the price does not move on a natural way that can be associated because of the FOMO.
Well, hopefully you are correct that BTC would reach $6,000 anytime soon as that was the price where I thought BTC already dip.

although not reaching $6000 right away is no indication of FOMO or anything like that but i have to say we are already seeing a lot of positive signs in the market that is a pointing towards the recovery that we were waiting for ever since price went below $6k a couple of months ago. and from there we can be sure of the beginning of the next bull run to reach $100k+ in 1-2 years.

It's all very confusing especially if you haven't been long in the market yet. There have been movements like this not long ago when people are already screaming bull run after a good rise in value, only to get themselves disappointed with a correction that brought them back to where they started. Fomo can easily turn to panic with a single fud and a steep correction.
475  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC now above $5k, seem like its not just a pump? on: April 08, 2019, 09:57:14 AM
In just a short time of pumped up, I think this is a nor fluctuation of bitcoin that a common resistance that probably turns to a big correction. So, we must be careful about it, we don't know it's a trap. This sudden grown up did not have any good news that we can refer for and prove that it is now the start of a bullish trend. Due to the unpredictable market, it's too early to conclude and decide.
Indeed, its hard to conclude and we need to make sure about any movements that we will going to take, seems that this current pumped can be an artificial as there's no clear information about the rise, look deeper and try to watch for a possible whale playing around right now.

It's still playing betweem 4.8k and 5k so we're pretty much moving sideways after it was "pumped" A few days ago. If we can establish a strong support above 5k then probably we can say the bulls are on their way. But this isn't their market yet.
A few days ago the information was printed on the Internet, that One Bitcoin buyer purchased a sufficiently large amount of coins and this served as a quick jerk of price increases. Logically, demand always creates supply, and therefore, if this trend continues, we will be able to see real changes in the cryptocurrency market.

I've read about that as well and it just goes to show how easy it is for big players to start a trend and fomo wave. People are now talking about bulls runs already  where in fact, if a single btc transaction can pump the price that quickly, the same kind of transaction can pull us back in no time.
476  Economy / Speculation / Re: Would you be satisfied with steady, gradual rise of BTC price? on: April 08, 2019, 09:53:07 AM
If Bitcoin can follow this trend suggested, it will be the healthiest coin one can invest in, it will give many investors courage to come in at any time to invest, and we will always witness increase in the number of investment every month till it reaches its ATH.

This price action will also guide against premature dumping because every investor will always look up to the next value of bitcoin by still holding on the their investment pending the time the coin reaches ATH for them to sell their coin and take the profit, just that this will benefit more of those who are into short term trading and day traders too.

Same thoughts here bro. That's why i'm hoping this kind of trend continues instead of what people are hoping for, which is another bull run, which i think is premature at this point. Drastic upward fluctuations like that demand a steep correction just like what happend 2 years ago.
477  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bullish Bitcoin Technicals Thrills Analysts to Predict Next Leap Beyond $7,000 on: April 08, 2019, 09:47:51 AM
Can't really say if i'd agree or not. I've seen similar TAs that did hit their target and some TAs that previously hit the mark and then missed this time. 7k by the end of may i think is a realistic target for the second quarter considering the slow upward movement we're having now. If this is sustained then yeah things look pretty optimistic.
478  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin and Altcoin Prices on the Upward Trend on: April 08, 2019, 09:43:32 AM
This increase has been expected for a long time, and finally came. But how the next movements take direction should be discussed. Already, we are around $5000 a few days away, and new support will be better.
Let's wait and see....!!! what happened next ...
after the market is bearish. whether the market will continue to run and jump because we know that many investors and traders still see the development of the price trend not completely turning to bitcoin, I don't think it's the best
Not all alts are on an upward trend. It's mainly bitcoin and ethereum. I'm still seeing s lot of red in the market though of course that's normal when people are converting their alts to btc. Litecoin, ripple, cardano, these coins i hold are currently on a downward trend along eith many other alts.
479  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has the market completely recovered on: April 08, 2019, 09:40:17 AM
What is the reason for the recent bullrun?

Do we call it bullrun? I dont think it was. That was a huge leap, its either someone controls the market or someone (an organization ) did a massive purchase plus the people who FOMO that keeps the price pushing above $5k. Im not sure either whats with the market suddenly gained $20billion.

The moment we were able to hit 5k again, people's excitement went up as well. Though it's a good development for all of us, it's dangerous to call it a bull run. It's highly premature and we could start a fomo that wouldn't end well for most of us. Better to just relax and give the market a chance to really make a recovery and then let's see if we're ready for a real bull run.
480  Economy / Speculation / Re: Get ready for lots of negative articles on bitcoin on: April 08, 2019, 09:35:37 AM
FUD doesn't seem to work and affect that much during upward trend maybe because they are currently thinking positive. They seem not worrying as long as they are seeing the price doing good. Well, wether we want or not, FUD will always be here and it's part of crypto world. As long as you trust btc, there's no bad news that could turn your beliefs about btc.

There may be a difference this time and fuds may not have the effect it once had on both holders and traders. I think the people who usually gets affected with fuds are those that doesn't really know a lot about the market. The good thing about the 2018 bear year is that it taught us to make our own studies first before making any investments. So people now know when to shrug off fuds if they can.
