We have definitely attracted the attention of hackers and credit card fraudsters. We are seeing constant attempts to break into our site.
For now, our defenses are holding and should withstand the attacks. This is exactly why a web-based "wallet" is not the way to go. There are too many attack vectors through a website. The Javvy wallet will be far more secure (virtually impossible to compromise) than online crypto wallets and exchanges.
Are they still trying to get access? It looks like the targeted, attempted hacks have subsided for now. However, we've been bombarded by fraudulent credit card orders. Fortunately, the fraud detection seems to be doing its job well. We have spoken to most individuals whose credit card orders were "quarantined", so we pushed those through. All other paid orders have also been caught up. How do you detect fraudulent credit card orders? You just hold the funds for a few days until it can be confirmed?

Will the Upfiring protocol be available in "standalone form" or solely as an implementation in a proprietary software client?
As far as I can tell, Upfiring is far more comparable to Gnutella than it is BitTorrent. Is there any more detailed information about the technology than what is offered in the whitepaper? I'm highly wishful in regards to the future of incentivized P2P file-sharing but I have my doubts about what would essentially be an incentivized Limewire.
My feelings exactly. It has my full attention, but I'm also hesitant. It's not going to be an incentivized Limewire. You won't be able to directly search every single person's computer on the network for files in the same way, as this is just asking for trouble. You'll be able to share directly with people you know and within communities, in a similar manner to the way that torrents are currently shared. Limewire was a bad example I admit.

No way in hell this passes in the current political climate. The entire government is republican, aren't they supposed to be for a less intrusive federal government?
You still actually believe the GOP is concentrated on small government? That goes against their own interest, which is the core of all political parties nowadays. I have to agree with you here. The fact is, the banking industry is the most powerful industry in the US, and they use that power to persuade politicians through lobbying. The crypto industry is directly competing with traditional banking. So what would you do in their shoes? I'd try to kill crypto where it stood, which is exactly what they're trying to do. Agreed. I would go so far as to say that the banking industry controls everything, globally, including the governments. That is my "opinion", of course, but it's tough to ignore, when you dig deep and look at all the signs. As mentioned in these earlier replies, cryptocurrency forces all parties (democrat, republican, communist, marxist, or any ruling body) to see that their grasp on the people is at risk. They would have us believe that crypto leads to criminal activity and chaos, but inquiring minds know better. Javvy intends to build "the people's wallet" and help to bring true freedom to the people. So Javvy has to earn the trust of the people to gain traction, and then we are confident that the VCs will want to hedge their bets and bank on Javvy, because Javvy IS the way to the future of finance. We have the plan, the patents, and we have the right people. Existing exchanges will either work with us or be replaced by us. If only we could pull everyone together in this field and do a little lobbying of our own.
Exactly my thoughts as well. It must be part of our budget to spend on lobbying, because we cannot trust those who whisper into the ears of politicians to have our best interests in mind (quite the opposite, really). The sad part about all of these issues with the US, is that it would be so simple to fix in my opinion. Just take away lobbying, campaign contributions, etc. Take their money, and what incentive do they have to work against the interests of the people?

I assume you would be using smart contracts to drive your Proof of CreationTM. Were there any other uses of smart contracts you have thought about for features?
Very curious about this.

It is reassuring. I think a lot of people see the incredibly high cap and assume you're right there with the other ICO's you mentioned just trying to get rich.
Hello all! Here is a new video that addresses just the 2,000,000 ETH Max Cap for the Javvy ICO... Why does Javvy have such a High Max Cap for its ICO?Cheers, Brandon That's a good point though. Kind of what I assumed, but I can see why other people be confused about it.

It will be a better project than Storj and sia. If they make a deal with two companies, they can come to nice places.
I already asked about partnerships... If there is any or if there are conversations in the way. But my questions keep getting lost in the topic. (Maybe I'm touching any sensitive spot ) A SIA partnership would be interesting.

Good question. It's pretty sad when a prototype is looking much more convenient than the standards.
Ha! You are SO right, GoBelle! It was my thought, also, that one of "the big guys" should have already made a comprehensive wallet, supporting all major cryptos, with easy buy/sell capability and integrated international debit card. It seems crazy to me that those corporations raised nearly half of a BILLION dollars and still haven't gotten it right. Perhaps they just aren't the right people for such a huge task and need to work with Javvy. In contrast, the Javvy team has the right background and expertise. Once we decided to apply our knowledge and experience to crypto, we began to see what needed to be done and we're doing it. Even in this early stage of our project, we have already made waves, because Coinbase and others have begun to "try" to address our concerns. However, their changes are just smoke-and-mirrors, because they don't really address the root of the issue. They merely substituted the problem with another problem. So it is too little, too late. They should have addressed them back in 2012 when I first complained to them all. I waited FIVE YEARS for a solution. It took us going "all in" and doing it ourselves to get them to "look like" they are doing something, but it's not enough. Javvy will either work with them or replace them. That's awesome. It really is baffling how long it has taken, given how obvious of a solution an all in one wallet is. What were you and your team working on before you decided to stir up the crypto world?

We just had a chance to really sit down and test the navigation and decided to undo the hard work on the "accordion" style expansion. So, I removed those screenshots, to avoid confusion. Instead, we'll just succumb to using a static button, after all. Upcoming screenshots will show the change. Is this more like a prototype or will it remain relatively unchanged? This is definitely a prototype and will change quite a bit by the time we make the official release. The prototype that we'll release soon will have basic functionality for bitcoin, bitcoin cash, ethereum, and the javvy token (JVY). The buy/sell functionality will not be added until later. However, even during the prototype phase, we will likely make weekly updates to add functionality, tweak the user interface, and fix reported bugs (if any). We will thoroughly test everything, so the critical functions should work, without bugs, but the user interface across mobile and desktop may have strange little issues here and there. We spent a lot of time on the UI/UX (user interface & experience) to streamline everything and make it as clean and simple as possible, but even so, after actually using the demo/prototype we have, we are making some changes to ensure the very best experience for users. Do you think the early prototype will be enough to replace my current ETH / BTC wallets? Good question. It's pretty sad when a prototype is looking much more convenient than the standards.

Do you think you will expand into Asia?
Yes. We plan to register in every country, where allowed, but that is dependent upon funding and/or revenue. We are building the technology in a way that will serve all countries. After that, it is just a matter of licensing (where needed). What countries do you think will give you the most problems?
