461  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: April 20, 2023, 12:55:07 PM

As for his retirement, I doubt that, win or lose he will still continue to fight and bring more money to him and his wife. We also know that Rachel has somewhat takes care of their money and in their investments, so nothing to worry if even Nonito retires, he still some some money left and can sustain their family in a long time.

As long as he can make money, he will continue to fight. He might be old due to his age, but look at him. He still comes back after a brutal loss to Inoue. So, Donaire is really tough, and any boxer not on the level of Inoue might have a problem against an older Donaire.

According to the article below, he is already a millionaire in dollars. Therefore, he has a lot of money to start a business and invest.

https://surprisesports.com/athletes-biography/nonito-donaire-net-worth/
Quote
Donaire has a net worth of $5 million as of 2023.

That's a lot of money in the Philippines. If it's converted into Philippine pesos, that would be almost 300 million pesos. Well, a business would really help to ensure the growth of that money and secure the future of the family. With that amount, Donaire could also start his own promotion company in the Philippines. That way, he would be able to grow his business and at the same time, help boxers with the potential to become champions.
462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: April 20, 2023, 06:27:03 AM
The betting odds for Game 6 are already available. If you plan on betting on Ginebra San Miguel to win, you should take it early as the spread is only -3.5. I'm pretty sure it will move tomorrow as in Game 5, they were -6.5, so there's a possibility it will move that far.

This is a do or die game for Ginebra, and they should win this one. The -3.5 spread is not hard to cover.
463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 20, 2023, 05:57:13 AM
Timberwolves and Nuggets game of the night.  The other 2 were terrible.  Wolves played like crap in the first half down almost 20 going into the half and now up 2 going into the 4th.  That third quarter was amazing.  And even though they gave up the leave at the end Nuggets started tearing it up.  One thing I found out is Jamal Murray is completely back from that terrible injury.  Dude can't be covered.  Gonna be a sick 4th.  Sitting on a wolves +8.5 bet.  Will give me a 3 for 3 night.  House money at this point.  Gotta believe the 4th will be even better than the 3rd was.
Unfortunately, the Nuggets took over the 4th quarter, and suddenly they had an answer for the Timberwolves' shots. Although the road team had Edwards, Murray always came back with his own. There were lots of opportunities for the spread to be covered, but it was probably just an unlucky night for you with this particular bet.
464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 20, 2023, 01:43:35 AM

So I'm taking the Lakers +6.5 right now, odds is still very attractive at 2.10, live betting.

Good luck! There's still a chance for the Lakers since Memphis hasn't pulled away yet. This is only game 2, and Memphis needs to even the series, but it's okay if they win as long as the Lakers cover the spread for you. It's been a very interesting game so far, and I'm impressed by how Memphis is handling the pressure despite missing their best player.
465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: April 19, 2023, 07:47:39 AM
I also believe that Donaire can still win if the fight will proceed, for now maybe still in the negotiation stage, and once the fight date is already declared, Donaire and his camp will start preparing and condition both mentally and physically.
So this fight is not yet confirmed?

Well, I guess this will soon be confirmed since it's a championship fight. Both camps should be willing to fight for the belt. Let's continue following this fight, and as soon as they make an announcement, it will make sense since it doesn't make sense if they will not make it happen this year

Let's hope for the best as we wanted to see him back inside the ring after being defeated by Inoue,
hopefully he will regain the belt before he decides to retire or whatever after the upcoming fight.
It would be nice if he retired as the undisputed champion. That would be the ultimate success in his current division.
466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: April 19, 2023, 07:13:53 AM
Tank shaming Garcia into accepting his offer to bet the purse on the fight is one of those things where I have to wonder if they are just doing it to try and get some more eyes on the fight.  I don't think either would actually bet their entire purse on the outcome of the fight no matter how confident they are.  I guess we'll have to wait and see if they sign the contracts, but I don't think any "bet" like this has ever actually played out.  After seeing the clip though, I'm firmly on team Garcia.  I hope he knocks out Tank and gets his purse.  Seems like Tank needs to humbling.

They should do it! It will make the fight more exciting and it will be very similar to Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury where the winner takes everything, the loser only has bruises and hospital bills hehehe!

We are on the date of April 19 already! Only 3 more days! I am very excited! I also wish the announcement for Crawford vs. Spence is not an April Fools joke!

We will find out if Crawford vs. Spence will actually happen this time. If it was just an April Fools joke, it doesn't matter. What matters is that we will see the big fight between Garcia and Davis. I'm pretty sure people won't be bored and they will be glued to their seats for the entire fight as every round could be explosive.
467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we should play on minor gambling platform? on: April 18, 2023, 12:28:07 PM
Honestly speaking why would you play on unknown or new gambling site where you can play the same game on the existing gambling site without having a problem? One reason is that they offer something that the existing gambling site don't for instance a opening promotions like free bets and many more. Usually that's the only way they can get players and also not because the gambling site is new it cannot be trusted.
That's pretty normal for new gambling sites; they should have a promotion to attract gamblers to register. But if they are doing well, like having good customer service, fast withdrawals and deposits, and anything like that, I think they can retain gamblers to stay. However, if we have to choose, it's wise to go with gambling sites that have already built their reputation, as that's the way to minimize the risk of getting scammed.
468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: April 18, 2023, 02:01:49 AM
As for the Haney vs Loma fight, the odds hasn't move a bit, Loma is still a 3:1 underdog.

As expected, Loma is still the big underdog here. Everyone is likely rooting for Haney to get an easy win because he is the younger and stronger fighter, so there should be no problem winning. However, I love surprises, so I want Loma to shock Haney and prove to him that he hasn't fought a technically skilled fighter as good as him.
469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 18, 2023, 01:18:26 AM
Philadelphia 76ers vs Brooklyn Nets +11.5
The Brooklyn Nets will take on the Philadelphia 76ers in their Game 2 tonight at Wells Fargo Center. 3 out of 5 meetings of these two teams, the game was decided within 9 points. +11.5 is a safe bet for Brooklyn Nets unless the 76ers makes 20 or more 3 pointers.
Net key injuries: Ben Simmons (back) out
Great pick so far. I would say there's a good chance that the spread will be covered as the game is currently close. In fact, the Nets were leading after the first half, but the 76ers came back in the 3rd quarter. However, it's still too early to tell. I like the adjustments the Nets have made so far. It looks like we will not see them get blown out twice.

Sacramento Kings vs Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors will take on the Sacramento Kings in their Game 2 tonight at Golden 1 Center.
Warriors key injuries: Andre Iguodala (wrist) out, Jordan Poole (ankle) questionable, Ryan Rollins (foot) out
Kings key injuries: Matthew Dellavedova (finger) out
I hope Jordan Poole will play, but regardless, I think the Warriors' roster is still capable of winning, so I like the Warriors to win.
470  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Investment: Good Debts vs Bad Debts on: April 17, 2023, 06:53:55 PM
I always supported the idea saying its bad debt if you use money to purchase things that you can't afford. Best debt is a debt that can generate you more money than what you will pay later. My personal favorite is to use credit cards to buy Bitcoin when its cheaper. Than I can close my debt through my wage later in that month. Most credit cards have great campaign/discount opportunities. Bitcoin is always good debt if you buy low sell high.
Actually, it’s always a bad debt regardless of your intention or goal, if you are not capable to pay or don’t have any source of income that will pay your debt. Be it bitcoin or not, as long as you don’t have a stable source of  income, investing bitcoin from taking a loan is very risky. However, if you have another investment that is working well, and can generate enough income to pay your debt, then it might be a good debt then if you use it to expand it start a new business.
471  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you still advised more buy and store? on: April 17, 2023, 06:13:25 PM
I was thinking new kind of plan to buy bitcoin every month from my salary immediately my company paids me but I still have other responsibilities to carry with family so am skeptical about it especially now that the price has no direction. If can afford storing every month in a long run I may realizes half of bitcoin unit and that's a big achievement to buy but to you is funny because you have enough of it. So advise me on what to do! Should I hold on because of the instabilities in price? Or I should buy and store? Over to you
When it comes to bitcoin, it will be a great advantage in the future if you can start buying and storing it now before it will hit its peak price later on and bring you massive profits. But it also depends on your financial capability. You cannot force yourself to buy a portion of bitcoin when your salary is just enough to cater the needs of your family, that is a very risky decision. Just buy when your finances are ready. For now, save first so you will have something to spend when the right time comes.
472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we should play on minor gambling platform? on: April 17, 2023, 05:47:07 PM
To be fair, even the most popular gambling sites may experience glitches and have also their fair share of questionable decisions. They don't have spotless reputations. Trusted they may be, the likes of Cloudbet, Fortunejack, and others cannot actually guarantee us of 100% smooth experience. Although, of course, brands like them are still a lot more worth of our trust than those who don't have the track record yet like Coinplay.

But I understand those who are trying to explore options and new and better features. The competition among crypto gambling platforms is getting stronger and stronger. New platforms are born every now and then offering a new kind of experience. The risk, though, is high with these new players in the industry.
I guess all gambling platforms have their own lapses and failures even to those who are now already leading the market. The reason why we should also learn to appreciate those small gambling platforms because who knows, they can be something big and worldwide casino in the future. Though choices still rely to its individual players, but for me, there’s nothing wrong if you chose to play on small platforms, especially that I’m just betting small amount everytime I gamble.
473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do women engage in crypto trading on: April 17, 2023, 09:29:42 AM
Most persons may say no but YES is the actual answer
In the ideal sense the dominance of crypto currencies by women is in great progress. Bitcoin is  the most popular crypto currency and therefore a currency of such will be dominated either now or in the future.
Women engage in crypto currency transactions also like men do the reason you may feel they don't is because those that don't have not much idea about it.
Women are more empowered these days, and what men are capable of doing, women can do it too. Just like in cryptocurrency, it’s mostly men that we all know, but remember that not all those who engage in crypto trading prefer to be known as they mostly trade anonymously, and prefer to hide their real gender. So we really can’t assure that those who mostly make it big in trading are purely men, some maybe just hiding their real identity and use masculine names. That’s how women nowadays are slowly conquering the world of their opposite sex.
474  Economy / Economics / Re: Quit borrowing on: April 17, 2023, 08:40:55 AM

The majority of us live beyond our means, which is one of the primary causes of our ever-increasing habit of borrowing money. Simply put, incomings are outpacing outgoings. It's also getting worse.

A lot of people are also underpaid, that's also one of the very first reason why debts are inevitable. This has been always the case here in my country. Workers were underpaid and they work 8 hrs or more for 6 days a week, leaving them no time to look for another alternative/side hustle to earn extra income.
Borrowing isn't always bad, because some people just have no choice in order to survive.
Rapid inflations and slow salary increase are also one of the reasons.
Well said. People are just force to apply for loans or debts so they can get out from their current bad situation. Otherwise, if they won’t do nothing, they will end up starving. That’s why borrowing seems inevitable for most of us especially with this high rising inflation that is already beyond our control. Maybe another reason that a person is drown to debt is because of his expensive lifestyle. He will definitely end up as a pauper if he stay that way.
475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much these features weigh most when you choose your favorite casino? on: April 16, 2023, 09:58:31 PM
I think one of the most important features of a casino is the ability to withdraw money.

If they make it too complicated, or with high minimums, then really it's not a great experience for the gambler, who in theory just wants to withdraw as much as possible.

Anything else in my mind is simply secondary, other than the game odds of course.
Well, if you come to play in reputable casinos, profits withdrawal will never be an issue. They will never do inconvenience on the part of the players that could cause to ruin their built reputation. That’s the reason why I put the casino’s reputation as the most important one. A casino that is considered reputable has always prefer to give satisfactory services to its players to retain its credibility.
476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter plans to offer buying and selling of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on: April 16, 2023, 09:33:50 PM
Through a partnership with eToro, a social trading company, Twitter is set to introduce a new feature allowing its users to access a wider range of financial assets, including stocks and cryptocurrencies. The expanded feature will enable users to view market charts and engage in buying and selling activities directly from eToro within the Twitter app.
We have a discussion about this already on this forum: Twitter will enable crypto and stock trading via eToro partnership

So which one is now fake?

I hope Twitter or any social media will not enable trading directly all because the social media owner is looking for more money and not considering his users. It should be social media, not a place for trading like brokers and exchanges.
I don’t think Twitter will be engage in buying and selling bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies online. Twitter is not an exchange, it’s a social media service that creates lifetime memories with its users. So if Twitter plans to engage in cryptocurrencies, then the company owner might have its own plan to build an exchange separate from Twitter so they can also take business with cryptocurrencies.
477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Online casino always take risks? on: April 16, 2023, 09:04:26 PM
I am just curious about how does online casino pay for their promotion on their influencers? Where does their earning comes from? How will you get scammed when you try online casino? How can you tell that online casino is safe?
No one will suicide to build a casino unless if he has a huge capital to start it. As starting a casino would mean more advertisements and promotions to make the casino known and attract customers, which means everything needs a lot of funds so that one casino will survive and stay competitive with the rest of the casino businesses. But when the casino profits, everything goes back to the house leaving the players at loss. Same like when players at profits, the money that the casino has obtained will also be used in return to refund the players winning profits.
478  Economy / Economics / Re: Age as a factor depreciating some people of their dreams on: April 16, 2023, 08:38:27 PM
Age is just a number and it will never define your future’s journey. There are those who came successful at their late age while some have lost their opportunities to succeed when old age comes. So this is a clear manifestation that everything still relies on the individual itself. If he has still the will power and determination to succeed, he will  set a goal for it and never stops until he succeed. But for those who have lost their hope and confidence, it will be too hard for them to succeed simply because they let their emotions rule over their mind. Not unless one is unhealthy and incapable, then success will never be achievable.
479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: we don't have proper education on bitcoin. on: April 15, 2023, 09:57:14 PM
Please correct me if I am wrong
Even in today's modern world, except for a few people in Europe-America, the general public of the entire world does not have a proper understanding of Bitcoin. Sad Sad Except European-American, anyone who have a little idea about Bitcoin also have misconceptions. Due to this problem, many people are unable to invest in a great platform like Bitcoin even if they want to. This problem may not seem like a big deal to many, but think about third world countries. A sad reality is, in my country 80-90% of the population are not familiar with Bitcoin.
Is there any way to solve this problem?
There is really a lot of ways to make them educated on bitcoin but they should have the due diligence so they can achieve maximum learning in bitcoin. With free internet worldwide, that alone is a big help so that people will stay updated and aware of what is happening all over the world. And when it comes to innovations, people should learn to appreciate than underestimate it, and it will only happen if they become completely educated on bitcoin.
480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 15, 2023, 02:09:40 AM
Congratulations to the Miami Heat for qualifying for the playoffs again. Butler took over the game and helped beat the Bulls. I hope Bam improves his game in the playoffs as he didn't perform well in the last two games. Fortunately, other players were able to step up.

Now, it's going to be Heat vs. Bucks. Can the Heat upset the number one team, or will the Bucks sweep the Heat? Which of the two is more likely to happen?
