461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of Forks [updated 4/3/2018] on: April 22, 2018, 03:08:52 AM
Update 4/3:  Added Bitcoin Metal.  Also, I'm moving the first "Bitcoin Lite" to the excluded list because the count down timer expired several weeks ago and no updates or fork information was ever provided.  The website hasn't changed from "coming soon"...

Good thread! But can you put extra warnings beside the names of the forks posted if they are proven to be not properly functional or scams? Ty.

Some Burst miners are investigating what Bitcoinore is all about. It looks like a scam.
462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BURST - Spaceman on board on: April 22, 2018, 02:59:27 AM
Burst is at a major lows just like lots of other altcoins so should rise nicely on any good news or in a strong market trend.

By "major lows" you mean undervalued, right? Thats true but Burst has been undervalued for a few months since the mining difficulty went up greatly.

Burst's mining capacity rate is now very high and in its highest in the history of the project. By saying Burst is on "major lows" is an understatement and the same cannot be said of most altcoins.
463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burstcoin | Efficient HDD Mining | New Version 1.3.6 | Assets | CFs on: April 21, 2018, 03:46:44 AM
You need more marketing! Tongue

Heavy marketing will not start until the Burst platform is ready which will probably be by the 4th quarter of 2019 from what I am seeing in Burst's development.

But if you only want a pump and dump coin theres many to choose from. Stay away from Burst. We dont need people like you.

464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BURST - Spaceman on board on: April 21, 2018, 03:35:15 AM
A good coin but only for mining because it uses the technology of PoC which will be interesting and attractive. And basically nothing remarkable coin among other similar.

You clearly havent done your own diligence or have not bothered to read ablut anything you post in the forum. For my satisfaction let me introduce you to the DYMAXION WHITEPAPER.

Its only one of the most advanced upgrades done on a cryptocurrency.

You can also follow the Burst weekly report thread to fill your ignorant mind with the latest Burst updates.
465  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Gambling site - Partners needed on: April 21, 2018, 03:23:49 AM
No, its not a perfect time for another gambling site. Cryptocurrency gambling is too saturated right now. There are too many sites offering their services but the growth of real cryptocurrency users has not been increasing that much.

If you want to earn its better to buy promising altcoins and hold them until the end of the year. Dont waste your time creating your own business in one of the toughest environments to start one in.
466  Economy / Economics / Re: Steel, aluminum tariffs necessary to fight trade manipulation by bad actors on: April 19, 2018, 04:00:26 AM
Thats a typical justification from the government. High tariffs will also skyrocket the price of steel in America causing a chain reaction making the prices of services and products that need steel to also rise, and the cycle repeats itself again spreading like wildfire.

The majority of the world's ills are caused by egos behind centralized institutions like the government and organized religions. It would be better to limit the government's powers and adopt laisez faire capitalism.
467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BURST - Spaceman on board on: April 19, 2018, 03:19:32 AM
I tried to buy more Bursts, but this is all I see lol.

It is hard to buy without doing a market order if you want the coins right away because other buyers want to bid more and be ahead of you.
lol, yeah there are always people ahead of us but we have to cross them  Cheesy

Burst is a good coin and after implementing new features I think it has a good chance to the moon  Grin

But for now they are taking interest in other altcoins. Burst has been left behind. Maybe some holders are selling part of their Burst holdings to buy other coins that are going up fast.

Having that said, lets pray that they make some profit from those other coins and come back to buy Burst again. That would surely pump it lol.
468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: April 19, 2018, 03:11:31 AM
You can connect your browser to one of the online public nodes available. It acts as a webwallet.

https://wallet.burst.cryptoguru.org:8125/index.html
https://wallet1.burst-team.us:2083/index.html
https://wallet.smit.pro:8125/index.html

I would also avoid connecting to Burstnation's public nodes if they have one. They are now around to hurt Burst, not support it.
Hi pinkflower,
Could you give me more detailed guides on how to connect to those online public nodes, please.
Many thanks for your help, pinkflower.

Open your favorite browser and click one of those links. They are online wallets but you input your seed as a passphrase like a brainwallet. Be sure to always use https. I would connect only to the PoCC's nodes and avoid Burstnation.
469  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CryptoSportsMarket- Accepting Applications for an Amazing Opportunity on: April 18, 2018, 03:27:19 AM
Just to add more details; we are looking for lawyers, web designers, web developers, smart contract developers, masternode creators, and advisors. Email us for more details. We thank everyone for their interest and patience as we continue to fill the open positions for our team.

Can you tell us who you are, what you have done in tech or business and do you have any verified profile links on Linkedin, Twitter or some other social media website? After all the scams and ICOs like Bitconnect that occured that stole millions from users, I think it gives us the right to ask you to prove to your fullest capacity that you are not a scammer.

Ty.
470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Burst weekly report! The future is bright! on: April 18, 2018, 03:11:49 AM
I, last year, had a negative experience with transactions, bought coins, just did not come to the purse, in addition, I find quite, many complaints and criticism of this coin from users.  Therefore I refrain from Burst.

I dont believe you. But post your proof of the many complaints and criticism from users that you "saw", and from what exchange were you sending your Bursts.

The Burst project is in its strongest state since the genesis block. 1000 nodes is a milestone and Burst will reach it this year. Altcoins that have 1000 nodes run by real users is a rarity.

is it possible in the future, that downloading and get ready wallet wont be so difficult and time consuming?

472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Announcing the PoC Consortium Stage 2: The Burst Dymaxion on: April 18, 2018, 02:54:28 AM

I know. I am the biggest supporter of Burst in the forum. Although rico666 and the rest in /r/burstcoin doubts it because I ask all the hard questions.

But on masternodes, I was only saying that it would be better if the owners of the nodes have their identities published to try to keep it away from a 51% attack.

I know this. I was only making another discussion and argument because of Mr_Burst's idiotic comment.

On the idea of masternodes, holders or a group of holders owning 51% of them can attack the cryptocurrency or control it. Look for a coin with masternodes implemented and see if it has a premine or instamine. I can already think of one lol.
473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Burst vs. Tron vote! on: April 17, 2018, 03:11:26 AM
I will pick Tron, Burst is an old project with nothing since the life span to show for apart for being just a speculative asset, I am not that bullish on Tron, but just look at it, Tron is in thesame market with Ethereum and NEO, and you are now comparing with burst, there is a huge gulf in class between both projects

Burst is an "old" project but it is still alive and has been tested and proven to be one of the most resilient coins and durable networks in all of cryptocurrencies.

Speaking of speculative assets, what do you call Tron?
474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Announcing the PoC Consortium Stage 2: The Burst Dymaxion on: April 17, 2018, 03:06:24 AM

No idea what was meant by the proposer  Smiley but the ideas from the masternode world, that could be considered are:

- additional rewards for the nodes-tangle initiators
- budget system, but with the miners voting

all those would be paid from the miners rewards, like it's done in the masternode networks

I would be open to that idea only if the master node owners are open to revealing their identities in public. The master node system can be attacked by a user or a group of users by running multiple nodes themselves and controlling more than 50% of them.

Another take on this is to have master node witnesses voted by the community.

Dymaxion is another take on scaling and doesn't need real masternodes for that.
Talking about tangle initiators, I see no points in voting for them (in Bitcoin network nobody votes for the LN nodes  Wink )
they're not block-signers - so they don't endanger the BURST blockchain.

Nice to see so big community of this coin. The first time I heard about this coin was MinerGate blog and they said a lot of positive things about this coin and POS algorithm. Could you please help a mining newbie, what is the simplest way to start Burst mining? Is it true, that I can connect all my HDD to the laptop and increase an efficiency of the mining? Thanks!

Yes you can connect your HDD's to your laptop as long as your laptop has an USB3.0 port. (and your HDD's should support USB3.0) too. If not, you'll get very slow read speeds and your mining efficiency will be very low.

BURST is not a POS coin btw. It is POC.(proof of capacity) NXT is a POS coin. BURST forked from NXT and changed the algo.

To start mining you need to plot your HDD's. Download qbundle software here first: https://www.burst-coin.org/download-wallet

Qbundle has everything you need. (miner, plotter, local wallet)
Rest is a bit complicated but not hard. Just follow this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJLhw37Lh_8

Do you guys think that it is a good idea to start mining now? I plan on starting with about 3 8tb seagate hard drives.

No. The cost of mining per day is high that it would be better for you to buy Bursts on the market. It will come out cheaper for you. Burst mining has become so competitive ever since the PoCC started developing the coin. The interest in it from miners has gone up by quite a lot.
476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Burst weekly report! The future is bright! on: April 17, 2018, 02:50:25 AM
How many altcoins have more than 1000 nodes being run by their users? I think only a few of them.

Can anyone share a webpage showing the number of nodes running behind each cryptocurrency? Ty.

With that said, it would be a big milestone for Burst to have more than 1000 nodes. Only last July, many considered it dead. Today, its growth and development is one of the fastest for a coin that has no ICO.
477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ALT Coins on the rise, some nice graphs from last days! on: April 16, 2018, 03:07:30 AM

In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.

The most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

I recently found a hidden GEM called Ethereum Meta, it is related to anonymity and untraceable transaction. They have a very interesting project to build the Anonymous E-Market Place.

They are on ICO stage and already trading on some exchanges, you can check their website: https://ethermeta.com/
Or even better go through their Bitcointalk thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2659058.0

I hope no newbie in the forum would listen to you, or if they are smart, they would join the pump and quickly dump first before the whales do.

Projects like Ethereum Meta are the kinds of scams the developers dump after a few commits in Github. Good luck to you lol.
478  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will The Market Cap Of Bitcoin Be Overtaken? If So When? And By Who? on: April 16, 2018, 02:37:59 AM
This question has been asked many MANY times before. Many replies were made, many coins were mentioned but not one of those coins took over BTC in market value.

  • Will The Market Cap Of Bitcoin Be Overtaken?
    Maybe.

  • If So When?
    Maybe in 10 years?

  • And By Who?
    Burst lol.
479  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Integrating blockchain with console gaming on: April 16, 2018, 02:24:54 AM
But is there really a need to? This "everything on the blockchain" bandwagoning is becoming very absurd. Maybe its time to drop blockchain and take our attention back to cryptocurrencies.

Having that said, I wouldnt mind seeing new projects take their ideas to be built on top of 2nd layers like Burst's Dymaxion.
480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: April 15, 2018, 03:30:00 AM
my wallet freeze on block 475952 i tried rollback 1000 blocks but its still same stuck
Not 100% sure but if you pop-off more than 140 Blocks you have to sync from scratch...

I use Linux and I had mine stuck on block 478,861. Luckily I had version 1.3.6CG on the same computer still on block 477,XXX. I synced that and copied the blockchain db to 2.0.4CG and its working fine now.

I hope the PoCC fixes all the quirks so they can proceed in working on PoC2 and dynamic fees.
