Троллинг это фигня. Зачасту помогает заблаговременно выяснить слабые места. Если же животное не отвечает на разумные аргументы, - ну и фиг с ним.

No need to thank me, cypherdoc. I feel privileged to be part of Bitcoin and help out where I can.
I strongly believe this will finally bring a huge and positive social change to our society where people aren't enemies and strangers to each other anymore.

I am cant find any way, how bitcoin can turn us to became like "people aren't enemies and strangers to each other anymore".
Its just about the other side. The competition will be even tougher, than its now.

1) Put -f lower than 30 in Extra flags field  (video and desktop will possibly become laggy)
2) And\or Disable hardware acceleration in your video player.
464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: (Please help) Why can't I receive the bitcoin? on: May 30, 2011, 11:42:52 AM
Add some failsafe nodes, and be sure that you forwarding\opened 8337 port.
465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Difficulty change failsafe mechanism on: May 30, 2011, 11:31:06 AM
Everyone has different costs, there is no reason to think that a large chunk of miners will quit in unison. When a small amount do quit then difficulty will drop and some will come back or others will not quit.

There we talk about some hypothetic, and unlikely to happen situation, but we should take in consideration that this is possible.
I am  do not want to speculate on that situation details, but if you insist ...

1) Larger countries just shutdown internet. Now we are relaying on miners of other countries.
2) Larger countries found a way to block bitcoin related traffic - same as 1)
3) Extremal drop of change course. (much more possible scenario)
4) Something else always possible.

As another failsafe mechanism - difficulty  starts to change, if block was not found in 1-3 hours.
466  Local / Бизнес / bitbills.com На каком этапе стоит заняться распростр on: May 30, 2011, 10:59:52 AM
http://bitbills.com/

No any authority approval not required.
468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Difficulty change failsafe mechanism on: May 30, 2011, 08:48:33 AM
Lets imagine that in one point, we will suffer from sudden lost of interest in bitcoin,
due to legalization problems, or due to some other factors.

Computation power of the network will be suddenly changed,
but difficulty will stay the same for long time (max 2016 blocks).

In result, we will have situation when, possibly even one block, will not be solved in a day,
and therefore - extremely slow transactions confirmation.

How to handle that situation ?
Is there any precaution ?

If not, maybe one should be implemented?

Like, as example this ones, -
Change of difficulty every 12 hours, or 72 blocks.
Difficulty  starts to change, if no block was found in 1-3 hours. (Added)

Please comment.

Well, RPC connection problem refers to problem communication with your pool. It loss of data occured when your miner send result of his work, there is a chance, that work is wasted. I am not sure wich miners engines failsave in that situation.

Well, Laden is killed (possibly), and that is a good time for american citizens to raise question about PA.

472  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: what just happened? on: May 30, 2011, 05:57:36 AM
Do you mean - difficulty 1 hash ?
473  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: what just happened? on: May 30, 2011, 05:39:39 AM
Well, maybe you just unlucky. Thats a lottery after all.
474  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: what just happened? on: May 30, 2011, 05:35:19 AM
Do you checked how much connections your bitcoin client have ?
475  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Blocks:1 Difficulty1 Hashes 121?? on: May 30, 2011, 05:32:02 AM
Not, your did not find block. Guiminer just indicates, that if difficulty=1, than you find a block. And cos diff now over 400k ....
It servs like indicator that you are running ok.  If you will find block for real - evidence will be in console (view - Show console). If after line -
Start listener ******
you see something like:

29/05/2011 05:50:58, 00326608, accepted

Than you, probably, find the block.
476  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: what just happened? on: May 30, 2011, 05:19:58 AM
Problem with solo mining, that 160 m\hash not anough to expect solved block in 5 hours, or even a week.
Pools let you to solve difficulty 1 hashes, that called  shares and acts like indicator that you running correctly  and  your part in current pool work.
477  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: GUI mining - now with BFI_INT optimization on: May 30, 2011, 05:08:58 AM
Poclbm works like that. I am did not find way to avoid that. Maybe Kiv will address to the problem of switching pools if they go down in next releases, or maybe not. At least that hash\s did not goes in wain and counts on backup pools. With -f0 -f1 i am get only a few hash\sec on -f1.

So i am recommend to use more tight -f intervals. Like -f30 -f31 -f32.
478  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Bitcoins.lc - Finally a usuable Bitcoin Pool! (IPv6, 0% fee, Long polling, JSON) on: May 30, 2011, 04:56:52 AM
Is it possible, that DDoses happened, can be related to some errors in design of some miners? I  am have feeling that Phoenix, when he can get answer from server immediately, starts hummer on pool with rate of ~20/sec, that make things worse. Can anybody share their opinion ?
