Nice won't be able to compete for the title. They are not second at the moment because they are so overwhelmingly strong and nobody could stop them. They are second because many of the games they played were finished with a happy ending for them. They are living on the edge with their one goal per game and then the (so far) impressive defensive performance. But this won't go on for the full 38 games.

The biggest issue I see is that I have no idea who could stop PSG in the league. But this is not only for one game, but for several games. It can't be expected that Nice finishes the season with 90 points. So whenever PSG loses points, Nice have to win them and I don't think they can have such a great level of consistency.

There is no doubt that Liverpool deserves to be the favorite team in this competition because their performance continues to improve.
