4601  Economy / Economics / Re: Why has crypto failed to break through still? on: November 01, 2020, 07:03:07 PM
We can't rush things out because fiat is still the major currency that we need but it doesn't mean that crypto failed to breakthrough because there are already lots of developments and adoptions occurrence. We have to trust the process because even huge platforms and networks these days are already recognizing cryptocurrency.
Also the term break through is deceptive because bitcoins already is being used worldwide and even legal in some countries so the only thing that now remains is the adoption at shops and merchants which will take time because rushed adoption will also cause more scams because there are lots of ways a experienced crypto user can trick merchants like double spend and zero fees transactions.

The introduction of paypal accepting bitcoins might actually solve this problem because paypal is the biggest payment processor right now and if somehow bitcoin transactions are made through it, that would be plain awesome.

Someone pointed out that it's kind of fishy that they are using the word Veda which is an Indian word that means eternal knowledge, because if they are a from any country other than that, they would have used something different.

Well, as for me, that's not something serious, using words that belongs to other countries and languages is not something new. There some businesses I know that are using Greek words, or french, but they are not located in any of these two countries. Anyone can decide to do anything just to appear unique or something like that. For me it would be the team that the focus should be on, whether they are verified and active. Check their social account and the rest.
4603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 31, 2020, 04:21:11 PM
Warriors will not be able to use number two draft pick properly that is obvious, they are not going to get someone who will change the team like crazy, it is going to be a rookie and it is going to take a time for that rookie to be even decent, this is not a year where the top draft could change a team suddenly, there is no Doncic or Trae or Zion in this draft hence that draft pick doesn't worth much.

On the other hand is it really Kelly Oubre that the highest offer could be? I am sure GM already let all the teams know that their second pick is up for grabs and teams must be providing some offers for such a good pick if they are far away and a young team like Suns. I feel like Wiggins + second pick could actually come down to someone that could be around all-star level and that is what they need, a player who is at all-star level and it is quite possible with Wiggins+second pick if you ask me.
4604  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin price now and something interesting on: October 31, 2020, 03:22:37 PM
^^ Let's not get too carried away with the price, if you do not like the price at $13.8k and want more, you are going to be even more upset about going down as well and it could potentially happen in a critical correction coming our way.

Basically it could be $15k tomorrow, who knows? But there is a big chance that $13.8k is not something sustainable since its brand new, whatever price bitcoin has for the first time in a while, it is always risky, even if it goes down very quickly it may go up and it could also go down when it is like this.

Just be happy about the $14k and react accordingly and just focus on what the price is today and how awesome it is that we already 2x this year in 2020 if we bought on first day and sold today, what "will" happen could be a discussion for later.
4605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: October 30, 2020, 08:32:49 PM
I agree that 2 day weekend deals should be limited to tracks that teams raced very recently in the previous years, probably the ones in the line up already. When you limit it in a place people haven't raced in a long time it becomes a lot more boring, teams end up crashing constantly and there is always a safety car situation and at points it becomes re-start for the teams as well with the positions intact instead of letting them continue racing.

So, I would rather not see crashes that stop the game, I rather not crashes that are dangerous neither and this could cause something like that. You have to realize even though these drivers are absolutely the best, they are also just human, they rely a lot on memorizing every single movement they need to make, one slower turn or one faster stop and you are out of the race.
4606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the difference between stablecoins? on: October 29, 2020, 07:16:49 PM
on the basic level all stablecoins are same, that is having $1 value. But going into depth some are centralized, some are decentralized and All are run by different companies.
Also I personally prefer USDT because they have a humongous market cap and the coin that has better market cap is more likely to run in the long term and won't scam even if it is centralized.

I know having stablecoin as decentralized is better but the truth is so many coins came and died in surge of doing that so it is better to just flow with the market and trust the coin that is being trusted by so many.

I was not aware there were so many stable coins in the market because if someone asks me I can only tell them USDT as the better stable coin and maybe go with USDC next.
4607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you think will become next Ethereum? on: October 29, 2020, 06:09:07 PM
People really want to be early bird for every big coin but they are too late so they are looking for the next big thing that could be like that but they are missing out the fact that ETH didn't become like this over night, it was years of work that made it this far ahead, which means if you want the next ETH you are probably a bit too late already for it anyway, not too late but just a bit.

Because if you want to find a coin that could make you 100x you have to wait for years, so the next ETH is probably out right now and trading, maybe its neo, maybe eos, maybe tron, maybe something I don't know but its out there, you need to find next-next ethereum which is next-bitcoin anyway, so you need to find next-next-next-bitcoin and wait for few years at least, like 5 years for example.
4608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is Addictive...Pay Attention to your Gambling Habit!!! on: October 28, 2020, 09:32:05 AM
Unfortunately there are too many people in the world who get the heights of gambling world just once and spend years chasing that high once more and that is not something you can get it out of a person without any help at all, there should be a professional help in order to get them out of that zone.

You could spend 100 bucks and make it to 20k once, and after that you could lose tens of thousands of dollars, even hundreds of thousands of dollars since that moment and you still wouldn't be stopping if nobody helps you. But, if you could just learn to limit yourself, I have 50 bucks deposit per month rule for myself for example, if you do that, there is two options, either you will lose that 50 bucks and stop, or you will make some and continue to profit in the end.
4609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 27, 2020, 07:17:46 PM
People could talk about Michael Jordan or Lebron James all day every day and you could never find a common ground, they are both great players who used the most they could ever put on the floor and got as much as they potentially can from this sport, they are both greats and they both made the league so much more fun thanks to their existence.

We could also just enjoy what we have and move on, we do not really have to decide which one is better or worse, not like we could ever come up with one single proof that one is better, there is no "proof" on these things, there is no data that could officially end things, so at the end of the day all of our discussions will be useless and endless.

I love Spurs, my favorite player is Duncan, I loved watching Kobe (even though he destroyed us at times) more than any other non-spurs player, I watched MJ for a small period (at the end of his career) and I watched Lebron all his career and I can tell you that I loved every single one of them, they were all magnificent and incredible, that is good enough for me.
4610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery is a poor man's tax on: October 27, 2020, 03:40:07 PM
I don't see it as a tax since they are free to avoid it but most of the poor are really clinging into it.
They are paying for it every once in a while to try their luck on hitting that jackpot that is almost impossible to get.
And I understand them even though I hate the idea for them it is a small sacrifice to have a chance of becoming a multi millionaire.
He called it as a tax because people are playing despite knowing that hitting such lottery is nearly impossible and even then we are making such bets.

I don't think though that this "tax" is a bad thing because if 1 million players are playing the lottery and even 10 guys change their life forever then it still changes life and you won't be rich by saving the money for the lottery ticket and might spend that in other small things which you don't even realize so it is better to take a near impossible but chance to change your life.

I personally hate lotteries and never take part in such draws but I understand why people like it because you get a life changing opportunity and you don't have to spend much for that.
4611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 26, 2020, 07:45:00 PM
Lebron will probably retire after he played one year with his kid, I know he would probably prefer to play with him on the same team and if any father can manage to do that it would be Lebron because as we all know very well dude takes care of his body and Lebron could probably play until he is 50 if he is willing to be like Vince Carter for example, shatter all the all-time records and then some, but he won't probably accept like a "come from bench for 12 minutes a game" role so he would probably retire in 4-5 years at most, probably around 4. Which is the year where Bronny will be in the league, for the looks of it dude is 14 years old and one of the best in his class but he is too young to decide, so we have to wait like another 2 years to see if Bronny would be a viable pick for any team or not, if he actually is a good player to get drafted we will see Lebron vs Bronny season and Lebron will retire after that.
4612  Economy / Economics / Re: Why has crypto failed to break through still? on: October 26, 2020, 04:24:20 PM
Why are governments still in control of the money printing process? how has cryptocurrency failed to make a dent?
Are we as a community too scared to challenge the status quo?
I don't get it. So, Bitcoin crypto failed because the government is still printing money? That's not true. Crypto has even succeeded more than most people expected, most thought that it was going to stop trading by now, but it's still trading and people are making use of it in transaction, lots of companies are using it now to store their assets, and we are going to keep seeing the number increasing.

If there shouldn't be printing of money as you have said, then there wouldn't be any government. The government is always in control of finance, which is the one thing that underlies the economy as we know it. So they will keep printing money, Bitcoin is not replacing them.
4613  Economy / Economics / Re: I lost my job, how about you guys? on: October 25, 2020, 09:09:28 PM
many are experiencing problems during this pandemic, from individuals even to countries experiencing economic recession. many small entrepreneurs went bankrupt as well as large entrepreneurs. the most noticeable impact is traders in crowded places such as convenience stores, school canteens, tourist entertainment. so that it has a big influence on the production sector. in my opinion, this is not a battle between decentralization and centralization, as long as both of them still have public trust, they can go hand in hand. it is more about mutual assistance, government policies and individual awareness.
Also the government needs to life up their local entrepreneurs by helping them with easy loans and maybe even no interest collateral based loans for an year or two which can help them stabilize. I mean there are so many ways the government can help their people in such times and the only way we can recover our economy is by starting to work again and earn money because when you earn money you contribute to the economy positively.

I feel for people who lost their jobs but really rather than getting demotivated and feeling frustrated you must take this as a lesson and make a passive income source in future also make sure you don't rely on a single job/business solely because every job and business goes through ups and downs and you must have a passive income source that keeps you going in times when the main business is down or suffering from a rough patch.
4614  Economy / Economics / Re: Show me shops where i can spend crypto ...crypto is useless... on: October 25, 2020, 08:34:00 PM
Actually, crypto is not about buying stuff online; you can not blame bitcoins just because your store isn't accepting it or unable to find any store.
Crypto is something about earning profit with the investment. I mostly do trade and earn a high profit. After that, I convert my coins into fiat by exchanging it.
Anyways there's some website that accepts bitcoin, and I use them sometimes. Bitrefill.com and for exchanging https://coinmap.org/
And I don't understand why people cannot sell their bitcoins for fiat and then buy anything they want. I mean yes Bitcoins will take a long time to be accepted on local shops but when you can easily sell your bitcoins and get cash or money in your bank then why do people even find payment method via Bitcoins baffles me.

I would also feel great to directly pay with bitcoins but there are a lot of problems like transaction fees and confirmation time so it is better to sell bitcoins and load your bank and then make purchases. Also if you don't want money in your bank for some reason then you can always buy a virtual card with BTC and you can reload it anytime you want through bitcoins, there are many providers out there if you want.
4615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin sportsbook bonuses on: October 25, 2020, 07:46:50 PM
There's plenty of good and bias review online, if they can't get into the right platform like our forum, then there's a chance that they would make some mistakes and lose money, I think that's normal for some newbies but it's important that they will learn from that mistakes.

Those people who tend to make mistakes are likely the people who does not understand the real risk of gambling IMO, hence even if they will not get scam, they will still likely to lose in the long run if they are not doing a responsible gambling.

Sometimes people are too lazy to read the rules of the gambling site where they register. They don't even want to know what the rules are for the bonuses they receive. That is why some of them do not think to look for forums or sites with reviews on the site where they want to register and play. This is also why such people lose so much of their money.
Yeah, actually there are colossal wagering requirements which are not even possible to complete for a normal gambler and they end up losing their initial deposit too in greed of getting a deposit bonus or welcome bonus offer. I always read the TOS for giveaways very seriously and closely because there are often hidden bombs which are made for the sole purpose of cheating gambler and since you agreed to those terms you cannot even complain against them.

I rather prefer promotions like stake offers where we don't have to be a new customer and make bets simply like they offer double UFC winnings if your fighter wins by submission and the bonus they give is direct cash with no wagers needed.
4616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What was your Worst losing streak at bitcoin dice with 1.5 payout? on: October 25, 2020, 05:54:08 PM
Losing streak of mine happened years back with martingale strategy. In a row continuously gambled and lost 0.7 btc which is quite a big value. Started to play with small value, further multiplied it. Tried to recover the lost bet with high value bets. This is where I did the mistake and lost everything.
Yeah man, I can relate your story with mine long time back when primedice was newly launched and I was part of that (I believe we called it PD3 or something at that time). I was playing for fun all night as I was new to something like that with fair verification my bets so I was rolling all night and I literally won like 1 BTC starting from 0.04 or 0.05 and then I got greedy and started to make bigger bets and later lost everything and I actually did not even had a poor streak it was just like after getting a loss I used to increase my bet much higher than I should have and lost everything in doing that.

The worst streak on 1.5 odds I am not sure but I clearly remember I had easily got as many as 27 reds on 3.00 odds which took away all my balance onj another dark night playing dice.
4617  Economy / Services / Re: [Open][Escrowed] Name the upcoming de-stablecoin & Get rewarded upto $100 in BTC on: October 25, 2020, 06:33:09 AM
Since your coin is going to be a stable coin and a community driven, I would love to suggest a few names:

1- ComstaCoin - "Com" stands to represent community and "sta" for stability.
2- StacomCoin - Just reversed the order.
3- ComstarCoin - Community more focussed.
4- FiastaCoin - Since it represents fiat and is a stable coin and Fiasta sounds something refreshing and easy to recall.
4618  Economy / Speculation / Re: history loves repeating itself. the only question is when! on: October 24, 2020, 09:59:06 PM
I also think the paypal news has an impact on price, its the reason why the value is moving upward. However we know when there's a price increase, correction is also possible to happen due to some investors taking advantage the increase.

Anyways its good to see the price increasing, if this continue for few days then it is not impossible that we might reach the $15k value like what you predicted.
The impact of Paypal announcing users to hold 4 crypto mainly BCH, BTC, ETH and LTC has a huge impact indeed and it cannot be understated because a lot of investors were always hesitant to use bitcoins and now more and more big investors are moving into the crypto market after the amazing Pyapal move. I am not sure when this will be implemented or it is already implemented because I don't use paypal at all but I do know how big an impact such move will have on the prices as we already see it.

Not sure about history repeating itself and if the all time maximum price will be reached but we are looking at a solid growth and that too at times when other markets are falling apart and even hard to maintain their value let alone any positive movement at all.
4619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling thoughts. on: October 24, 2020, 08:36:38 PM
almost same answers in majority and it looks like all is responsible gamblers though for sure when in casino or in gaming those rules are not being applied and losses still what they get lol.
Responsible gambler doesn't mean one who never loses but one whose loss are within his range and control and not betting emotionally to recover their loses. Losing money is not a problem but the flow of cash must be controlled and well planned because once addictive to gambling the flow of cash is unmetered and that causes a problem. Gambling is not a problem but addictive gambling is the reason why gambling is the reason why gambling is looked upon as a negative overall.

nice sharing of thoughts meaning many gamblers understand what they are doing but just happen that they forgot to do when in action.
Even if they forgot they should deposit only what they can afford to gamble away and I certainly agree that when we are actually betting we forget everything and get lost in gambling and once bust we come to the real world back again. I am someone who plays mostly slots, dice and they are not as addictive as something like sports betting.
4620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Towards another gambling site. on: October 24, 2020, 06:37:02 PM
Roulette relies on probability like any other casino games. There are hotspot numbers that you need to watch out for because not all the numbers are equal and most of them land more often.
Really? I don't know if this is true but if this is the case then surely somewhere the casino is rigged because it is impossible that in an extended run one particular number has an undue advantage over another number. Is there any theory behind this?

There are countless strategies out there, one example is Martingale system, and Paroli.
I use these strategies too like picking red number to come and betting on red every time until it comes, doubling the bet amount each time (martingale).

I mostly use roulette for wager though, I have to admit as I try and wager for various casinos like stake so I play roulette and bet on red and black both and all I need to hope is that the green 0 does not land.
