4601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19 and its effect in Gambling World on: March 08, 2020, 04:00:22 AM
From my personal experience from gambling on land-based casinos, I have noticed a lot of Chinese people gambling. This was way before Covid-19 was a thing and I do think they are serving the majority of gamblers here in my country. When this outbreak has started, maybe they have become wary of the possible things that could happen like contracting the virus unexpectedly because there are a lot of people there. This event may have a benefit for the online cryptocurrency casinos because they can continue their gambling online, which would not let them be exposed to other people, don't you think so too?

So there are two considerations, either Land-based Casinos lose their customers and online casinos gain them or vice-versa.
4602  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [POLL] Interested ba kayo sa Automated Trading with a Community Account? on: March 08, 2020, 03:08:52 AM
I'm really interested but siguro i-ovbserve ko muna yung mga resulta sa mga first members who are interested and sa ngayon may nakikita akong apat na tao bukod sayo na gusto sumali sa community arbitrage trading ninyo. Nakita ko na din yung latest gain mo which is 7% and I was impress but I honestly think that it is on the low side considering that we are on a volatile market, 7% is something regular in the stock market so medyo nag-expect ako na dapat more than 10% sya on a regular trading day not just a week's gain.
I have received their pledged amounts and it's already in my account. Hinihintay ko lang si samcrypto para mabigay yung sakanya and I think we could start the experiment. 7% is not bad with just letting your money run. It's always going to be a choice of being safe or being crazy about trading.

If you know something about trading like the different strategies, arbitrage, day trading, etc. They are all different and nag bibigay siya ng different returns. Expecting a return of 10% on a regular trading day with a different strategy is way different than an arbitrage one. I hope you understand that. It's not just on one trade, it's multiple of trades.
4603  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Paolo Tomenes, famous pinoy sneaker YouTuber, nahack ang YouTube account on: March 07, 2020, 09:02:37 AM

Mostly hackers are dependent on getting their scores using cryptocurrencies and mapapansin agad yun kung medyo naiba ang genre ng channel. That’s really weird.

Madali naman mag recover knowing na yung videos is nandun yung tao mismo tapos verification would be easy for sure. Buti na lang na recover niya agad. Thanks for sharing. Eto lang nakakalungkot pag dating sa mga newbies or newly pasok pa lang sa crypto world, iisipin agad for hacking ang crypto or something. It’s not good for the image of cryptocurrencies
4604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esport Betting website worth it? on: March 07, 2020, 02:46:04 AM
There are several things that I want to consider when looking at a betting website.
  • I would check the variety of games that I could bet on, whether it’s on CS go, league of legends, Dota 2, etc.
  • The GU I should be responsive and smooth when it comes to using it on mobile or even in a browser.
  • Bonus points on the mobile application because it’s easy to get around everywhere and just see it on your mobile phone the results.
  • Live results can be seen easily like a summary tab or something like that.

I am just a user, not an expert with creating gambling sites or something, but I have listed something that I would like to see on the website. Good luck with your project if you’re going to make one.
4605  Economy / Economics / Re: Start investing so you can quit your job and retire early. on: March 07, 2020, 01:01:47 AM
How long can you depend on paycheck to support your lifestyle? Eventually you would need to quit your job, Didi Taihuttu quit his job and start investing for retirement, he did it! When are you going to do the same?
I think what do people need to understand first is to be educated with what you can do with your current situation.

For example, a person who is living paycheck to paycheck knowing that his lifestyle should be different and know what the limits are. I think it’s also a self-acknowledgment when it comes to these things because if you can’t get except that your lifestyle is not in accordance with your paycheck, then what could be left to invest?

I didn’t say I didn’t invest in anything, though. I didn’t say that I don’t agree to start investing. LOL.
4606  Economy / Economics / Re: Start investing so you can quit your job and retire early. on: March 07, 2020, 12:26:25 AM
I don’t think everybody wants to get rid of their jobs just because they are working from 9 to 5 or any other working day in the world because they probably like doing it or that’s the career they have chosen, and I think there is a specific time in our lives that we get to retire with that and comparing yourself to others won’t do you any kind because of the expectation that you might have and Get disappointed in the long run.

Time is the most important thing that we have, and it’s up to us on what we could do with it, and I think what’s important with us is to know what to do with that time and make sure that it’s building up for the future.

When it comes to investing, I think it’s essential to think that it’s not for everyone just because they don’t have time to study it. With that in mind, I think it’s better to be educated compared to just investing, and from that knowledge, you could make your own business or somehow do that thing that could make you retire earlier than you want to.

You can begin generate passive income as young as kindergarten. Yes a saving account for kid did existed.
I think helping my kids to be Independent when it comes to their decisions would help them when they grow up. Letting them understand the benefit of saving and knowing what to do with their money is critical on what they would do when they grow up and become adults.

4608  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: PONZI SCHEME FRONTROW on: March 05, 2020, 02:14:38 PM
Mga bigatin talaga yung mga nag eendorse eh pero naisip ko na lang din na dahil sa bayad lang talaga and not technically investing in it. Grabe siguro mga kinita nila from that and more lalo na dun sa ads na ginagawa nila.

Be vigilant sa mga ganyan. If ever kumita na the first time, don't repeat again. Mga MLM style na ganyan, mahirap na.
4609  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [POLL] Interested ba kayo sa Automated Trading with a Community Account? on: March 05, 2020, 01:10:12 AM
For those interested, pwede na kayo mag post on this topic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5230310.msg53961554#msg53961554

Yung mga ganyan klaseng to good to be true investment, it's possibly a scam. 1 BTC - 89000 BTC, are you kidding me? Scam talaga yan lol.

Okay. PM kita Dabs.

I'm interested in this kind of community account trading. Pero to make it more convincing siguro naman pwede mo ipa-sulyap yung gains mo from your trading history? Maganda kasi may background tayo dyan to see if reliable nga yung automated trading mo. Other than that meron ka bang assurances for not losing money on a fix basis or wala ding guarantee.
For results you could check this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5134562.msg53887292#msg53887292

Alam naman natin no assurances, pero I must say na hindi ko 'to susubukan isuggest kung hindi ko nakikita 'tong promising at opportunity na makatulong sa ibang pinoy.

1. Yung account mo ba sa Binance is KYC verified? And what level?
- A verified account with address verification.

2. Siguro if we will consider your Binance account as the main account dapat may konting safeguard tayo kahit papaano like will you be the only one controlling it?
- I'm the only one controlling it and I only have the authenticator, email, etc.

3. For the community itself dapat meron kayong chat group or something para mas madali yung communication sa isa't isa hindi lang sa forum na ito.
- Pinaka madali is Telegram.

4. And also when will the gains be distributed? Daily ba? Weekly? Or a monthly basis?
- Monthly basis siya. Mas discussed ko yung terms dito. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5230310.msg53961554#msg53961554

4613  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Receiving Into Offline Wallet on: March 03, 2020, 02:14:22 PM
Sorry for your loss of BTC. What happened to that anyway? If you don't mind sharing, it's also for protecting future possible events like that from happening.

mocacinno has pretty much said everything about it. I'm just going to share my experience with that kind of wallet.

  • I had a hard time transacting from the wallet
    • Whenever I need to transfer funds, I need to turn the laptop on again
    • It's not as portable as hardware wallets
  • It's free if you have a spare laptop that you are not going to use
4614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Sad News]: Nigerian shot dead after resisting robbers access to crypto phone on: March 03, 2020, 05:01:44 AM
It's definitely sad news to see a fellow Bitcoin supporter shot dead just because of owning it. You can never turn back time, it's important to take actions and precautions as early as now to prevent this kind of event happening. I did read the article and it's scary to think that this could happen to anyone. Be vigilant.
4615  Economy / Speculation / Re: Post your Buy-Orders / Sell-Orders on: March 03, 2020, 02:37:40 AM
Isn't it better to accumulate more BTC instead of selling some of it? Unless you really need it but technically, you shouldn't have to unless you have made a large sum of profit with that. There are a lot of speculation using different technical indicators that suggest there would be another big drop before having the one we want, the bull run that would go higher than the ATH.

We all want to all in when we feel our speculation is going to happen but it's mostly biased, IMO.

I have post orders around 8600 (long) and hopefully would go over 9000!
4616  Other / Meta / Re: #meritislife: how to be notified on a smartband of merits and mentions on: March 02, 2020, 05:24:57 PM
As I said, the price point was a barrier for me.
This costs less than 10% of an Apple watch, with inferior performances, of course, bar battery time, where Apple Watch is beaten big time, and the related function of sleep tracking. (even if you don't sleep very much if you are really focused on the forum.
It is a big deal to invest in that kind of tech but when you already have that, using this would improve your performance of the watch, right? There are 3rd party applications for sleep tracking, so it's okay. Do you have bitcointalk addiction? (No sleep issue lol)
4617  Other / Meta / Re: #meritislife: how to be notified on a smartband of merits and mentions on: March 02, 2020, 01:53:58 AM
I currently use an Apple Watch to watch notifications, daily activities, reminders, etc. All I need to do is subscribe to that bot. Thanks.

You could add as well like the app Done to see your progress in tracking your habits (like posting, forming a habit, etc)

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/done-a-simple-habit-tracker/id1103961876

P.S. Battery life on an Apple Watch depends on the usage and if you have the latest one, Series 5, you could turn on or off the always-on display and save more battery.
4618  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How seed phrase can be hijacked? on: March 02, 2020, 12:50:00 AM
I doubt that it has been caused by a verified Electrum client. As much as your friend can say that it's not malicious there might be something in there..

Maybe brute-forcing the seed phrase to open the account? But the chances of that are so low. 0.001% when I searched for it.

4619  Economy / Economics / Re: Can corona virus or any other epidemic disease can collapse Banking? on: March 01, 2020, 04:46:04 PM
First of all, I don’t think it could happen today with the coronavirus. There are things to be considered.
  • How much is the damage that it cost globally?
  • Up to what extent can the country of origin go to solve this problem?
  • What is the cost to solve this problem?

It is quite essential to have instant liquidity when it comes to events like this. Probably it would also depend on the leader of the country on which the cases are happening and having a leader who knows what to do would help prevent the catastrophic things to happen. In this case, China has put all its resources or liquidated some of its bonds to have the capital to research on the solution of the problem. It is crucial to solving the problem with the scientific research behind them, and it is not going to be cheap for sure.

This might Affect the banking economy of China, but I don’t think it could cause the banking failure in the world. Probably the central bank of China would have that damage causing the value to decline.

In the end, no prediction would be 100%, so in my case, I don’t think it can collapse the banking sector for the financial aspect of the world. Maybe in a zombie outbreak, it might collapse?
4620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Other Coins Halves too on: March 01, 2020, 01:59:15 AM
I haven't thought of it completely but I know that it does happen to other cryptocurrencies. The most recent one that I know is LTC. Last year, it was rumored that it is going to increase in price because of that halving and I think there was a time when you could've taken advantage of that. Anyways, halving is important when the supply is cut, the possible demand will rise. It's the basic theory and as long as people are buying into it, it would have a higher price rate as the reward of miners decreases.

I know miners and other people who are concerned with any kind of halving, whether it's in Bitcoin, LTC, etc. They have already prepared for that and maybe it's what we need to do, is just to be prepared.
