4621  Economy / Economics / Re: The Halving - Good or Bad for Bitcoin? on: February 08, 2016, 08:22:55 PM
I think it is pretty logical that business which are mining today for a 25 BTC block (around 380$) will eventually stop mining if there will be no upwards price trend.
Why mining 12.5 BTC blocks at this price when the day before they were able to mine the double?

Hi silkmen,
are there any updates about your roadmap? Are you going to perform a ninja launch?
I have some silk and nice staking wallet therefore it would be nice to know a bit more.

If you read a few pages back, I think you will find all the answers you're looking for. Smiley

using the search engine I was able to find what I was looking for. My bad!
However, it would be good to have those kind of info right on the first page so that everybody will know when this is going live.
4623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Europe wants end to anonymous Bitcoin transactions on: February 07, 2016, 06:34:33 PM
This whole thing of trying to control BTC is pretty hilarious but it's a big concern. BTC is a powerful tool that can give us financial freedom from TPTB and that is what the big guys in suit don't want.

Try it out... pray for an amputee to regrow an arm or leg and watch God sit on his ass laughing at you...

If you don't believe in praying nothing will happen. Another things come into being in this topic: faith.
Having faith gives humans some kind of ancestral powers. It's not rational, scientific studies cannot prove but it works for some.

Quantum mechanics is still too young to prove all this.

Hi there, I had a look at your site and I will follow this thread closely and maybe I could start investing some bits with you. Anyway well done, it seems it worked so far.
4627  Economy / Economics / Re: The Halving - Good or Bad for Bitcoin? on: February 07, 2016, 06:14:44 PM
It's too early to guess what is going to be after the halving but I really hope that we will have a good price increase. More than us it's important what big mining businesses will do. We, the small players, don't have much to say I guess.
4628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 07, 2016, 06:09:38 PM
Only two games for todays premier league and I could try correct scores

Bournemouth-Arsenal Both teams to score (1-2)
Chelsea-Manchester Utd Both teams to score (1-1)

Interesting picks on correct score yeaa I have same prediction as you mentioned above 1-2 for arsenal and maybe halftime arsenal could lead 0-1 , so my pick  halftime for arsenal .
Super Sunday Chelsea vs Manchester United , last time both teams shows very boring game with no goals scored, I believe this time will remain same boring at least under 2.5 goals for my pick.

I was so close to win this bet: I got chelsea and Man utd but I missed Arsenal for just one goal. That's a pity I was hoping for the last goal.
I could have won more than 1 btc  Sad
4629  Other / Meta / Re: Why don't people post their locations on: February 07, 2016, 06:06:16 PM
There is no need to know my location and who wants to know it already kows it. I can say that I am currently living in a different country from the one I was born in.
I like the idea of the old internet (only a nickname, an alias) not the new one (facebook and else).
Of course it has its pros and cons but I don't like the "new" internet.

Early 90's internet was seedy. I didn't personally start posting publicly again until 2007.

I know what you mean but personally I feel there was much more honesty and trust back then. I learnt so much during those years. Today the internet represents what we see out there: shopping malls, ads and stuff rule everything.
Maybe I'm too old fashioned  Cheesy

4631  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your first bitcoins came from.. (faucets aside) on: February 07, 2016, 08:32:19 AM
First bitcoin?
From mining! I was on slush and eligius for one year and a half, nice old times. Then BTC mining became a too big business for small players like me.
4632  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you guess about he future of bitcoin? on: February 07, 2016, 08:25:26 AM
It seems easy but it isn't easy to teach people about bitcoin. First of all they heard it on the news and usually they get badly informed and secondly prejudices are still very strong (Bitcoin=terrorism, tax evasion etc.)
So the future of this awesome tech is still unclear in my opionion.
4633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spanish League Prediction Thread (La Liga) on: February 07, 2016, 08:17:34 AM
Levante-Barcelona over 3,5 goals
Celta Vigo-Sevilla Home or draw
Granada-Real Madrid RM + over 1,5
Betis - Valencia over 1,5 goals

This is a hard parlay the way I see it. Any thoughts?

Yesterday it was a defeat. Only two goals in two games. Last try for today with the following games

Napoli-Carpi Napoli
Frosinone-Juventus  Juventus
Milan-Udinese Milan
Sassuolo-Palermo Both teams to score
Torino-Chievo Home or draw
4636  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: February 06, 2016, 02:29:52 PM
I've always tried to buy around 50$ of BTC equivalent every month since I had to stop mining and I usually bought them after my monthly paycheck.
So far I'm very happy of my accumulation strategy and I think that part is over now.

Games for today are quite interesting, especially Bologna - Fiorentina, because Bologna is playing very well lately.
These are my picks
Bologna - Fiorentina over 2,5 goals
Genoa - Lazio Genoa

i prefer to bet fiorentina win ML more safe than over goals
I repeat that I am betting on over because Bologna will be a challenge for Fiorentina. Odds for Fiorentina winning this game are to risky the way I see it.
4639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Bank??? on: February 06, 2016, 02:14:37 PM
Why do we ever need a bank if BTC tech gives us the power to be our own bank? I think the fact that I can be in a complete (almost 100%) control of my money it's the best thing I could desire. Of course I do not own my BTC I own the keys to access them but it seems to me that's absolutely awesome.

If there is no banks in the world in the future, how do you borrow to buy something big? It is better to have somebody to lend you the money.

I don't buy things I can't afford therefore I do not borrow money. I don't want to be an active part of the debt mechanism, if you do you are free to do that.
4640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Prediction ligue 1, france football ligue on: February 06, 2016, 11:34:54 AM
Let's try some good bets guys

BASTIA – TROYES Bastia
CAEN – REIMS Caen
TOULOUSE - NANTES Nantes

I think this is not an easy parlay but it could be a very good one! I'll try 0.01 only  Wink
