4621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can be a gift for some persons on: December 26, 2021, 01:47:43 AM
I would so love to do that, but if and only if, those loved ones that I am planning to gift with Bitcoin do want it. Yes, this may be a way of intruding crypto to them, but without the interest and willingness to learn about it, I think that gifting Bitcoin with be just sold or exchanged, hence it will not serve its purpose to them. So, before doing that, I would identify first who among my loved ones want it.
You are right. If they see no point in bitcoin, it makes no sense to give it as gift to them. I have already thought about doing this, but concluded it's better to just use the bitcoins to purchase something they will really appreciate.

After all, bitcoin is a currency and usually we don't give money as gift in my house to the relatives and friends. A gift is a way to show you care for people and their demands. So to give money is a bit cold and rude.

it is not for all actually. because before you give it to them, as others have already pointed out, you need to orient them about securing the keys, password and the whole nine yards. not all will be ready on this but would be a good try. you will know if they are interested also on keeping some for themselves.
you will do the brief intro to them, it is not that you will give them a gift without discussing anything about crypto.
if you want to secure your gift, you know what subjects you need to share with them. youve been in this market for so long, you know what they will need as a beginner.
I understand what you mean and I could give them that kind of guidance without any problems, but I don't feel people around me would have legit interest in keeping and caring for their coins.

So in the end, besides my own wallets and investments to manage I would also have to manage the wallets of my family and friends, because they would say it's everything too complex and hard to learn and execute.

In fact they are just fine living without adopting bitcoin in their lives. That is actually a normal thing, since most people are at a confort zone which doesn't make them feel incentivized to try new things.
4622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHIBA Fever on: December 25, 2021, 11:53:22 PM
The market has been flooded with SHIB fake projects and I hope people could find the right one, and not fall into this group of clone projects.
I can't really imagine seeing these numbers, 66? It is probably there are more to come in a few days from now. What I think is that we need to have some regulations to combat this kind of activities, were not making them fully stop but at least we are trying to minimize them and not to ruin the image of the market as this could lead to that particular once tolerated.

Even their is many shiba,Shiba inu is the unique one.You can inverse your money.Because the project accepted by many investors.Specially the new traders. But i had 10 million of shiba in my wallet over  months. But the price pumped after the shiba inu was sold.It make some disappointed to me and I had lost the chance of winning.
All of them are clones or copies of another concepts, including the one you mentioned as the original Shiba Inu, because it's a blatant attempt to take advantage of the Doge hype. As we can see Shiba developers even copy the dog logo from Doge and the pseudonym style of bitcoin creator, but instead of Satoshi, Shiba creator nickname is Ryoshi.

And now they plagiarize Binance and Uniswap as well. Cheesy

4624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: December 25, 2021, 10:16:41 PM
Thurman is a champion, it's just that he lose against Manny in a split decision, but he is coming back because he aims to be a champion again. In order to do that, he hs to fight the champions in his division and they are Spence, Ugas, and Crawford. I heard that they are cooking a big fight for Thurman, probably that would happen after this fight and it's expected that Thurman will win the fight.
Yes, he was a champion but still he must earn it again and winning on this fight is a big thing. If there’s a rumor about having a big fight after this match then I can assume that they are confident that Thurman will win, that’s quiet suspicious to me. Well, Barrios is also eager to win and would not let his reputation to be ruined again easily, he will fight for this.
It's also suspicious to me, because I don't see any reason to be so confident in Thurman since he hasn't played anymore since 2019 and also considering he is going to play against a strong adversary who is active in boxing scenario, helding the superlight title from 2019 to 2021.

Both of them are in similar situations, so I think there are no favorites on this fight. In this case it might worth to bet on the underdog if the odds look interesting.
4625  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: December 25, 2021, 04:34:12 PM
i have been using freebitco.in since like 2015 and i have about 650 referrals which they were so active and i gained a lot of points. back then  i was using the points to boost the free rolls up to 1000% with the free 100 points for each roll. its been like a year i didn't enter again to my account and now when i checked i found many differences like the free points roll are disappeared and the bonus got cheap to activate. also a new fun bonus tokens has been added.
i have a lot of points so which is the best to use those points for better profit rather than exchange them directly to bitcoin. any advice?
Exchange your RPs for bitcoin directly once you hit 100,000 RPs balance. That is the best you can do and the safest path to take. Another alternatives are 1000% extra bitcoin on every roll and 5 extra Wheel of Fortune spins on every roll, but you need to be really lucky to make profit from it, what means there are serious chances you are going to lose money by purchasing those bonus, while also wasting time, because you need to be active on the site every hour to make the claims.
Well back in time wheni was so active and using my computer for long hours i use to activate only the boot bonus of 1000% bitcoin. And i was rolling about 15 to 18 times a day and i was getting more profits than exchanging the points straight to bitcoin because in that time 0.001 worth no more than 15$ and they were offering more than 0.001 for each 100,000 RPs. So i will try the bonus first for a couple of days and see how it works.
If you activate the bonus you will earn from 660 to 792 satoshis daily claiming the number of hours you mentioned (base reward). I'm not at my desktop now, but as far as I remember the 1000% bonus costs almost 800 satoshis, what means you will claim all day long (literally) to earn the same amount of satoshis you used to activate the bonus.

In my opinion it doesn't make sense, but you can try anyway and good luck!

The only chance to make it worth is by being lucky in order to hit the higher rewards. That is rare to happen, though.

4627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oscar Awards 2022 betting thread on: December 24, 2021, 11:07:19 PM
It would be much more worthful and interesting if they picked movies from the 90's and 2000's which weren't awarded appropriately back then due to the large number of precious gems on those times, and remade an oscar with those titles. Those were good, legit and spontaneous times when movies could portray the real views of the directors and from the public, without any retaliation fears from the enlighted critics' elite who are also adepts of the most envious, ranging and morbid ideologies of the world. I miss the times when movies' goal was to entertain and/or enchant the audience and not brainwash or put political garbage inside their heads.

If there were a movie which inspired me I would risk a guess, but I can't do this right now since all movies look lukewarm to me.
4628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Xi, Putin wants Bitcoin without wanting Bitcoin on: December 24, 2021, 10:20:24 PM
Sanctions are inevitable in this case. Russia and China can't expect they are going to keep their deals in secret while still maintaining the harmony with the rest of the world, especially with the occident. USA won't be fool to let their main adversaries continue growing protected by a bilateral p2p agreement. Understanding the analogy, bitcoin itself isn't the problem for people like Putin and Xi Jinping. For them, the problem is that bitcoin is open and free for everyone to use, doesn't matter who you are, while in fact they would like only themselves and their allies should have access to it.

Then they should know how a powerful tool Bitcoin can be against censorship-resistance if everyone has access to it, but does China truly understand? Because if they did, I believe they would never throw their advantage in the industry by banning POW mining, and trading.
This is a very misterious and shady subject. It's interesting, however, that China has banned bitcoin mining only now, when more than 90% of the coins are already mined.

Maybe it was just a smart move to concentrate their national energy consumption in another sectors. But I believe soon they will change regulations to allow proof of work currencies mining and trading again, as it was already cogitated some months ago by chinese authorities.

Sometimes they seem acting foolish, but I then I realize I might be the foolish one by underestimating them.
4629  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Historical Bitcoin Prices😊 on: December 24, 2021, 08:22:01 PM
I always have good memories when I think about Christmas and bitcoin at same time. During this season bitcoin gives a lot of hope and expectations things are going to get better in crypto market.

Just look what a nice event we are seeing: bitcoin was struggling to reach above 51,000$ and today, Decembet 24th, it has finally happened again.

It's not the new ATH everyone wanted seeing, but it's a positive message to investors they should remain patient and confident next year can be great!
4630  Economy / Economics / Re: The Danger of Local Economy. on: December 24, 2021, 07:52:57 PM
I think authorities and regulators from developing countries are missing the point, because their local currencies are already weak without any interference of crypto currencies and that is a good reason for people from these areas to adopt bitcoin and stay away from fiat for investment purposes.

Bitcoin has been a potential solution and not the cause of the issue of devalued fiat currencies around the world. It's important to let it very clear to everyone, especially to the most uneducated people who fall for any government's propaganda.

What a sad story, my friend. It's a mix of disaster and loneliness. Cry
I believe OP didn't think it was funny to lose hid funds. He is just trying to overcome his loss emotionally, so he won't suffer anymore for this bad move he made, gambling with more money he could lose. And in order to assist him to do that, he had to summon his imaginary friend from the childhood times to give him some piece of comforting advice.

With some responsability next time, I'm sure he will be able to avoid a similar situation when gambling. Respect your budget/bankroll limits is the most important lesson to be learned here.

180 Days is the best value lock of all the options I think, especially now with the price nearer to some kind of possible bottom not peaking at all.   I'm fairly confident crypto in general can build over the next year or so, its best not to place calendar schedule over the top of price action targets despite peoples constant attempts I dont think it fits.   The halvening and effects after is more likely to fit in a non 12 month way.   I doubt I will place a month price bet this time as Im too uncertain but I will look anyway, 4 days left
180 days look a good choice if the goal is to have flexibility over your investment on medium term, but it's still possible to earn 5% extra interest on FUN if you pick 360 days. For those who aren't in a hurry and don't pretend to make profit from FUN speculation I think it worths to lock the funds for the longest possible alternative. Meanwhile premium benefits keep activated on the account generating extra profit for holders.

So in every cases it's not a total waste of time.
4634  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price is still in a downward trend, will it last long or temporarily? on: December 21, 2021, 09:19:20 PM
Of course the current bitcoin situation is temporary and it's going to change soon at any time to an upside trend. And although many people complain about bitcoin right now and consider it bearish, I see bitcoin is stronger than ever, otherwise we would have already seen it falling below 41,000$, while in fact what we is bitcoin very strong between 41,000$ and 49,000$.
Bitcoin is fighting to rise again and by watching the daily fluctuations it's very clear. Investors just need to a little more patient and focused on the long run goal that is more important than any news or predictions you may find on the internet right now.
4635  Economy / Economics / Re: Indonesia's 0% Tax on foreigners and digital nomads on: December 21, 2021, 08:47:14 PM
Interesting for foreigners, I'm not happy to hear this, because local people still have difficulty getting income. So that more and more foreigners will come to stay and work, the more competition will be tightened.

Digital nomads are stock market traders, investors, youtubers, those with internet based income. They won't compete for local jobs. All their income is internet derived which makes their source of income flexible enough to where travel and relocating across different countries becomes much easier.
That is totally advantageous for the country where digital nomads choose to stay, because they are bringing foreigner receipt and income to the country. This way, local services' sector is heavily impacted positively, as the demand for them will increase, also increasing the number of jobs spots disponible for native citizens.
Every smart political leader should be focused in introducing this kind of measure to attract receipt for their country in order to boost the local economy and life quality of the people. Digital nomads are going to become more popular from now on, especially after the pandemic where many people got used to work from home and also because internet quality access is becoming a reality even in poor places where it used to be precarious in the past.
4636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People claiming themself satoshi on: December 21, 2021, 08:00:46 PM
There are also the Bogdanoff Twins who said to have helped Satoshi Nakamoto to elaborate part of the source code of bitcoin. And actually I think they were smarter in their approach than every other personalities around claiming to be Satoshi himself, expecting to get some attention while still keeping part of their credibility intact (at least with the meme community).

Actually, attention is what all these guys making such claims are looking for. With some luck they can even launch a new crypto project using this kind of fake news as self-promoting marketing.
4637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Playing with dices on: December 20, 2021, 07:59:51 PM
See I remember watching video of a YouTuber who already did all of that, he made the arguments as well at least and he did not really gain anything and did loose a lot as well, therefore I do think you should have tried to look at the videos before tho.

Understanding mathematics and being good at gambling is quite different, counting cards is one of the thing that you can compare to it but here in the dice using the martingale which does not work and we all know that, that's why I think it would be futile making analysis regarding that.

I think most people associate gambling with mathematics due to the probability of winning on a certain round. Though some may be arguably accurate, I still doubt that there may be an application or solution that would give you absolute results.

Playing dice, on the other hand, totally relies on luck due to its nature being primarily random. Unlike card games where you can at least minimize the risks or somehow predict the cards, in dice the only factor that you can derive such is from the moment you throw it on the table.
Mathematics can only show gamblers they aren't going to win on long run when playing dice and for the smartest ones math can be useful when managing the bankroll in a more efficient way, and that is all.

Actually dice game use mathematics against gamblers to have a small advantage over them, through the house edge and that is an immutable fact.

Usually when gamblers are newbies they really think they can defeat the house by using methods like the one presented in OP. Once they acquire some experience these thoughts and beliefs disappear.
I always run away with profit, it is matter of time to lose the bankroll due to the house edge. Having a lucky run means we have to take it and come back another day, otherwise, the house edge will kick in and the result will be same.
However, you never know when a long loss streak is going to get you. It can happen even on the first roll streak of the day.

So far you are running away with profit because you are being lucky, and that is really good, but if you keep doing this day after day, you will end facing a different scenario where the losses will surpass the winnings. And there is no way to avoid this in dice game.
4638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if governments make Bitcoin centralized? on: December 20, 2021, 07:36:21 PM
I believe governments are not going to try stopping bitcoin, because there are many influent businessesmen investing in bitcoin who are also partners of these governments and there are public agents too, who may invest in bitcoin secretly. So it's not interesting for authorities to embarass the matters of their friends. If they do this, there will be retaliation and these businessmen will take their money and leave the countries where governments acted against their personal interests. It means loss of investments for governments, what isn't positive for their maintenance in power and for the development of the country.

IMO government already has made BTC a bit centralized through KYC based centralized exchanges like Binance. Melania Trump has recently launched her own painting as NFT, this shows that top officials have faith in BTC but when they are in power they cant support crypto because of government policy.
Certainly bitcoin is going to become more and more centralized each new day through new and more strict regulations. I just don't see governments attempting to stop bitcoin by controlling 51% of the mining hashrate or confiscating the supply disponible in the market as it was mentioned in another posts.

But thinking about this matter right now while I'm writting this post, it came to my mind governments could create a regulation to forbid exchanges from operating during determined periods of time, just like traditional markets do to avoid high volatility and price devaluation of the assets. For an example: if bitcoin falls 5%, exchanges must stop all the orders until the next day.

About Melania's NFTs it's a quite curious situation, because Trump has criticized bitcoin as a menace to fiat system some time ago and told the media he was a full supporter of dollar currency, but now his wife's NFTs can be bought with Solana crypto currency...

4640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: December 20, 2021, 06:08:29 PM
I'm going to be excited about a probable Portugal - Italy matchup. It would be the biggest one among all of the paths to qualify for the World Cup. These teams are champion teams in the first place. It is really difficult to make a certain prediction about which team would be able to advance for sure. They both have almost the same chance actually. But still, it feels like Italy have a slightly bigger chance.
Italy was playing world cup qualifiers terribly, they were unable to win most games, achieving only boring ties against considered weak teams such as Northern Ireland and Bulgaria. And even though Switzerland isn't a weak team, Italy should have been superior to them, but they were unable to do it as well, staying in second position in group C. Considering it, Portugal seems to have some advantage over them.
However, at same time, Italy has played Eurocopa 2021 brightly and that is a very strong factor at their favour. I could even believe Italy has totally focused their effort and energy in Eurocopa until now and since it's over, they can fully concentrate their skills in world cup from this phase on.
