Correct. They all have an agenda, and use dumb sites like Twitter to manipulate people.

Luckily T has changed owner and our Lord Savior Mr. Mars will make it big and green, and then he will pump Bitcoin to unimaginable prices so we can all be as rich and happy as he is - proposal for the name of the new company TTEM (Tesla-Twitter - Earth-Mars) Cheesy

4624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "It's Better to Sell Bitcoin Now and Rebuy Lower" Twitted by Peter Schiff on: June 15, 2022, 11:01:05 AM
After Bitcoin plunged below $21,000, prominent crypto hater and investor in gold Peter Schiff shared a chart which, to him, shows that the flagship digital currency is likely to test $5,000.

Everyone is still waiting for his prediction of gold at $5000 to come true - unfortunately many will not wait for that day because life is too short for those who believe in fairy tales. The fact that someone constantly mentions in his statements something about which he has a very negative opinion only speaks in favor of Bitcoin being used to promote what he actually promotes all the time, and that is gold.

I am of the opinion that such people should not be given attention and emphasize their role where they are actually completely irrelevant. In other words, we should not care what Schiff, Buffett or Gates think about Bitcoin, nor did they invent it, nor does it depend on them.
4625  Economy / Economics / Re: World Bank slashes global growth forecast to 2.9% on: June 15, 2022, 10:40:30 AM
I think this is the first article I have seen which considered the possibility of the crisis being a global one. This could parallel the crisis of 2008, the falllout of which provided motivation for Satoshi Nakamoto to create bitcoin. While the harsh realities of economic crisis are terrible to behold. Perhaps we will witness similar trends where people invent and create new platforms like bitcoin in an effort to buck the trend and give people new options and tools to help them stave off the next economic crisis down the line. There could be a positive aspect to it which will provide opportunities to early adopters, the way that BTC did.

Do you really think that it is possible to invent something better than Bitcoin and that the thousands of shitcoins that appear on the market every year are the solution to the world's problems? Bitcoin may have been created at the beginning of an economic crisis, but it was not intended to prevent a new one like the one that is happening now, which is likely to be much more difficult than the previous one. If anyone is wondering why, then let him just add the impact of the pandemic and the war to the whole equation and everything will be clear to him.

The recent TV series Mr Robot proposed deleting all bank records in an electronic attack in order to force a financial system reset which enabled some degree of debt forgiveness. While this approach may not be feasible, I hope someone has a good idea for how to prevent future economic tragedy that they can implement to better society.

Maybe there will be some super powerful hacker who will hack and delete everything and send us to the Stone Age, but such things do not happen even in movies like Live Free Or Die Hard...
4626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto winter setting in.. and how long will it last on: June 15, 2022, 10:05:18 AM
If you think some of us knew how to accurately predict markets — chances are, we wouldn't be on our computers all day but instead would be at some nice beach in the Bahamas with some nice beers and beautiful women.

In the short term we can only speculate and at this point no one can say when the current collapse will stop - but in the long term (if the pattern repeats itself) we can assume that the new big bull run will only happen after halving 2024. Of course there is always a chance that some super good news will appear and reverse the trend, but apart from the possible approval of the spot BTC ETF in the US about which there is some speculation, I do not see any light at the end of the tunnel in the short term.

I don't know what is Greater-Fool Theory but for me, I will be a fool if I will follow what Bill Gates will say that relates to crypto.

After being left alone in a house with 18 bathrooms, he began to demand more and more public attention, so he talks about a lot of things he has no idea about - but he seems to be most interested in a pandemic, not one that lasts, but a new one that will be a little more efficient in terms of depopulating the world.
4627  Other / Off-topic / Re: Irony of Life on: June 15, 2022, 09:39:44 AM
I am composing this thread because a neighbor of mine was crying very seriously yesterday and when I asked him the reason he said, he sold his golds and other properties worth ($1800) to buy bitcoin in the month of March when bitcoin was still high but Ironically bitcoin drastically come down to $22,525.77 and now he needs money to pay his bills but he can't sell his coins because of the price. I just encouraged him not gave up. He should have faith that bitcoin will go up again.

Investing in something you don't understand, at a time when we're obviously on a downward trajectory and at a time when the whole world is exposed to inflation and on the brink of recession, can only result in a loss. In addition to all of the above, how can someone invest the money they use to pay their bills into something as volatile as Bitcoin?

And also in the month of April when bitcoin was coming down, some users in this forum predicted that it would rise up by the 22nd of May, 2022 and that also became an Irony.

Forum members are free to speculate on everything, including the price of BTC - but that doesn't mean anyone should take it as financial advice. I personally thought we weren’t going to go this low a couple of months ago, but I was wrong like some others who thought we avoided crypto winter. I would not call all this irony, but only a cruel reality that slaps us from time to time to remind us that life is not a flat road but a road with many holes and humps.
4628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Several reasons explaining the Crypto Price Crash (without BS) on: June 14, 2022, 01:48:19 PM
Iirc it went even under 250$ (or was it under 200$?)

At one point during 2015 if memory serves me well the price was below $200, although for months it was between $220 and $250 which at the time served as proof to many that Bitcoin was just a pump&dump scheme after it crossed $1000. I remember that period as if it were yesterday, and 7 years have passed in the blink of an eye.

4629  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's latest decline was triggered by quantum computing headlines on: June 14, 2022, 12:48:41 PM
There's "blood on the streets" right now, which is the right time to buy, according to Warren Buffet(if I remember his saying correctly).

It is not a saying invented by the WB, but is associated with one of the members of the Rothschild family from the 19th century. This is not something that every person cannot conclude if they thinks a little better, but the problem is in the application of this tactic. While the average person has a hard time living from paycheck to paycheck, the rich who have billions to invest in in the long run always profit - so they are even richer after each new crisis.

The crypto winter was pretty much expected and still many people got surprised, when another price drop happened.

I don't think people are as surprised as they are disappointed because ATH wasn't at least $100k, which was an exit point for many, and now they will have to wait at least another 2-3 years. At least they can sleep better if they realize that the quantum computers will not be able to steal their Bitcoins for at least some time.
4630  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's latest decline was triggered by quantum computing headlines on: June 14, 2022, 10:51:45 AM
I think the correlation between quantum computer news and declines in BTC value will become an accepted industry standard eventually.

I think it has nothing to do with each other, because since the existence of Bitcoin people have been arguing that quantum computers are a threat to Bitcoin, but it is also known that the development of such computers will take decades and that those that exist today are not strong enough to be a threat to Bitcoin.

The average investor doesn't even understand what Bitcoin is, let alone link it to some quantum computer news.

Webber’s team calculated that breaking bitcoin’s encryption in a 10-minute window would require a quantum computer with 1.9 billion qubits, while cracking it in an hour would require a machine with 317 million qubits. Even allowing for a whole day, this figure only drops to 13 million qubits. This is reassuring news for bitcoin owners because current machines have only a tiny fraction of this – IBM’s record-breaking superconducting quantum computer has only 127 qubits, so devices would need to become a million times larger to threaten the cryptocurrency, something Webber says is unlikely to happen for a decade.
4631  Economy / Speculation / Re: $13,000 is quite possible this week on: June 14, 2022, 10:31:54 AM
Various conspiracy theorists and those who live for the moments when average people lose money thanks to their reckless actions have welcomed their moment. Anything is possible and nothing should surprise us, so when asked how low Bitcoin can go, I answer that $100 per BTC is possible, which is actually good because everyone will be able to buy at least 1 BTC or at least half Wink

By the way, the OP post doesn't really make sense, nor is $13k a magic limit that some whales want/don't want to reach - nor are people hungry for Bitcoin at a time when food has risen dramatically and hundreds of millions of people around the world will starve.
4632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Not a Hedge Against Inflation?? on: June 14, 2022, 09:38:52 AM
Imagine a situation where someone who has been a member of this forum since 2017 asks this question - then let's ask ourselves if 10% of Bitcoin owners even understand what they actually have if they have their private keys? I would conclude without any hesitation that Bitcoin is not something to be blamed, it is the fault of people who try to turn it into a money-making machine and do not give up on anything in their goals.

For all those who want only profit, they needed to learn when it's time to buy and when to sell - it's no secret, although it requires the use of the brain on a slightly higher level than that used by today's man.
4633  Economy / Economics / Re: Solar panels set to be mandatory on all new buildings under EU plan on: June 14, 2022, 09:18:36 AM
Oh... in that case I erred and need to apologize for that.

No need to apologize, believe me, many in the EU do not know who all EU members are, who is in the eurozone and who is in the EEA.

It is nice that the national parliaments need to approve these stupid measures. I am sure that the Green party dominated countries such as Germany would approve it, putting the citizens further neck deep in debt. More sensible ones, such as Poland and Hungary would refuse to do that.

No one can force a member state to accept something, but in case a member state opposes someone, let's call it a "common goal", it will pay fines or be denied funds from the common EU treasury. Hungary is the most obvious example of a disobedient member state, but it is a policy they pursue, and the people support that policy by electing Orbán four times in a row.

Stock markets are crashing around the world. Bitcoin has lost two-thirds of its value from the peak level that was reached less than a year ago. Inflation rate is in double digits. This is not the right time to further overburden the ordinary people.

I am not in favor of forcing people to install solar panels on all new buildings, but in countries that have plenty of sun during the year it would really make sense - of course provided that the purchase of solar connectors and equipment is co-financed by the state.
4634  Economy / Services / Re: Free BTC transaction accelerator! on: June 13, 2022, 03:09:02 PM
@TeenWolf80, I would be happy to help you, but both transactions do not meet the minimum fee (fee per byte) and the accelerator does not accept them. The options you have are RBF (bump fee) in case you are a sender and that option exists, or be patient until the mempool clears up a bit.
4635  Economy / Services / Re: Free BTC transaction accelerator! on: June 13, 2022, 02:31:29 PM
Given the state of mempool and the current high priority rate (in sats) I can try to speed up your transaction with this free accelerator. Please read the terms and conditions so that the transaction could be considered at all, and that the matter is extremely time-sensitive so I cannot promise more than 1 or 2 successful accelerations every full hour.

The volume of a single transaction must be ≤0.5 KB, and the transaction fee rate should be ≥ 0.0001 BTC/KB.

For those who will claim it doesn't work :

CZ really have weird business decisions and even weirder explanations - because about a month ago they were doing some kind of consolidation and flood memepool with their transactions and it didn’t occur to them to suspend withdraws.

In moments like this, those who have not yet wondered should ask themselves "is my Bitcoin really where I thought it was?"

4637  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto cycle to start by Q4, 2022 on: June 13, 2022, 12:56:35 PM
Cheesy
Don't take financial advice from a dude with a LUNA tattoo...

Not only from those who promoted one of the greatest crypto scams in history if we consider the damage it caused, but also all those who skillfully hide like some kind of Bitcoin perma-bulls, and in fact never cared about Bitcoin. Over the years, it has become clear that once great friends of Bitcoin became his real enemies when they were given the opportunity to profit on something else, of course to the detriment of Bitcoin.

In some earlier days, I thought Novogratz was somewhat more intelligent than the famous speculator Tom Lee, but I was clearly wrong. It is good that Novogratz has another shoulder for a new tattoo - he will only have problems with the choice considering the almost 20 000 shitcoins on offer Smiley
4638  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto cycle to start by Q4, 2022 on: June 13, 2022, 10:55:56 AM
Of course a permabull would say that bull market is coming soon.

He is not a perma-bull, but an ordinary shitcoin promoter who has been parasitizing on Bitcoin for years. The tattoo on his shoulder should be a reminder to anyone who thinks differently. Talking about some new cycles in times that are a lot harder than anything that has happened in the last 40-50 years is completely frivolous.

EU continues to implement stupid rules, which will accelerate it's own economic decline.

If you only knew what stupid rules Euro bureaucrats are making up, you would surely remain in disbelief. Those farmers who receive financial support from the state will not receive it if they use hoes, they need to buy expensive machinery to produce environmentally friendly food Roll Eyes

Solar panels are not suitable for each and every part of the European Union. Imagine installing solar panels in countries such as Iceland and Norway, where there is hardly any sunlight for 6 months of the year.

Iceland and Norway are not part of the EU but part of something called the EEA (European Economic Area), so I don't think this law should apply to them. In addition, every law passed in the EU parliament needs to be approved by national parliaments, and some member states will certainly not accept this.
4640  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Start crypto earning on: June 13, 2022, 10:11:32 AM
Hi dear I want to ask to you about crypto trading, what do you recommend if I have 1000 USD and want to grow it by crypto. How can I do it safely and low risk?

If you do not need that money and you can afford to invest it for at least a period of 2-3 years, then it would only be logical to invest in Bitcoin. However, before any investment, try to learn some basics in terms of understanding what is a public address and what is a private key, how transactions work, and perhaps most importantly how to properly store your digital assets.

The easiest thing to do is to invest, everything is much harder afterwards and there is a greater chance that you will lose your money due to ignorance than due to the volatility of the crypto market.
