4621  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest your bitcoins. on: September 19, 2016, 04:17:37 PM
Results  from last week from investment.

Week 37

Safedice   +10,501%
BitDice     + 1,922%
Cry-g.net  + 1,717%
Betking     + 0,855%
Poloniex    + 0,496%
Moneypot  -  0,145%

Is this ten thousand percent? In a week? How is hat possible? That's returning your money more than 100 to 1.

Its 10 % in one week

He's right.  If you split $100 ten ways and one of those ways gains 10%, you have gained 10% of 10% of $100.  In other words, you took $10 from the $100, and gained $1 on it.
4622  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Burst Power Network [Pre-Announcement] on: September 19, 2016, 04:16:36 PM
I have heard about burst coin 1 year ago, but i still not try to mining it. Because i just use laptop and doubt to trying mining it, am i can mining burst coin using laptop? Of course i have big capasity of harddrive?
 Thank you for answers.

Anyone can mine Burst, even with a laptop. Check out the main Burst forum for instructions: https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/165/videos-step-by-step-video-guides-how-to-mine-burstcoins. If you encounter problems, just ask in that forum and you will get help from fellow Bursters.

This is true, the part that uses the processor the most is the plotting, so that might take time.  But, you can literally move that "plot" around from drive to drive.  For the TB drives that we will be using, this doesn't make sense, as the time it takes to move it is just wasted.  However, even though you can move the plot from one place to another, copying it makes no sense unless the two copies are not mining at the same time.  I am not sure if someone could cheat using this system and mine the same plot from two different locations, but it is basically stupid.  But, if you have a friend that has a power PC, you can use his PC to plot say a 200 GB plot, and then move that plot to your laptop and you might save a very small amount of time.

But wouldn't different computers mine the same "plot" in a different way?  This is where it gets confusing.

4624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform ❘|❘ ICO OPEN on: September 17, 2016, 04:51:27 AM
I think everyone should respect decision of Iconomi dev so many people blaming about bounty campaign. Are you guys really support this project or just want free tokens and destroy it?

Bounty campaigns are for the promotion of the project and once the project is alive no one with destroy their free tokens. They will keep them with them and help the Coin grow more. thats my feeling about it.
4625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform ❘|❘ ICO OPEN on: September 17, 2016, 04:49:22 AM

4626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: September 16, 2016, 05:41:05 PM
whether rich or poor as I have seen on this forum someone wagered 40btc and also someone else wagered 1 satoshis. So in my own case I would still bet because I want to make more money...
4627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: my Community bank fraud department called regarding coinbase on: September 16, 2016, 05:38:25 PM
I bank at a small community bank  in the states and they have some real nice personal bankers that are helpful. Recently the fraud department called asking what I do and why I  have so many transactions with coinbase. F U its my money,  I can buy whatever I want with it. This  is annoying because my small bank has no idea what bitcoin is and explaining it is not easy they are old school.  My question is I am not doing anything wrong like gambling, why are they inquiring. I work in a professional company and was surprised when the personal banker asked. She also said they called a few mo ago  too . I also have made small buys in a span of 9 mo  nothing big like 1 btc per month. Has anyone else been in the same situation?

From my point I think they are only doing their job and also following the law of the land over there so I would suggest you try shifting to another bank or try using personal transactions in other to avoid troubles. It better to avoid than to start defending...
4628  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: [GUIDE] How to get your private keys from Blockchain.info new wallet on: September 16, 2016, 05:35:07 PM
So... It's easy for a infected machine give the keys to a hacker?

Well, trust no one, be your own bank...

Do not forget that even though an href says google.com, that is simply the label that the coder put on it and it can go anywhere and even start a script.
4629  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New to alt coin trading, Help on: September 16, 2016, 05:25:49 PM
I am only speaking of the price that they are showing in the wallet software, but I doubt that it is much off from the real deal.  It's funny that on Pol the price is actually coming up on NXT itself.
4630  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NEver keep all your coins on an exchange on: September 16, 2016, 05:24:03 PM
I know that the blockchain itself is basically beyond attack.  That is the point of checking itself over and over until it proves that it is moving forward with the right blocks.  The issues come from things that are not a direct blockchain event.  Once the human element is put in there, it all goes to pot.
4631  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Windows 10 Integrated Bash/Ubuntu on: September 16, 2016, 05:21:33 PM
Indeed, I do enjoy this feature. I have been working with it since the anniversary update on my windows box and it is quite nice to be able to call on a linux shell so easily. Has anyone been able to install AMD (or nVidia) drivers on it and mine using your GPU from it? If so, how was the performance? I would like to attempt it, and probably will, but some input from anyone who has tried it would be nice.

Mistercoin-

getting there, at the moment dealing with an x installation is just too much to do.  i hate doing that on a normal box and i pretty much treat this like a VPS.  i was peeking around in the file system that was created and it seems like it is fairly standard, the thing is that i cannot find any files that reference the link between the windows system and the subsystem so it is going to be fun.  i am going to try tonight and start with a card that windows cannot find drivers for.  it is basically a pci express card, but it is very generic and came in a dell optiplex.  windows uses the card fine, but direct x expects better drivers. we shall see what happens and i will post more tonight

I really want to see where this goes.  Hardware is something that Ubuntu never seemed to have an issue with.  I had Windows system after system that were such a pain with everything from wireless adapters, network cards, video cards.
4632  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [Question] Do big mining pools have benefits ? Are they very profitable ? on: September 16, 2016, 05:18:29 PM
I always wondered how much these pools were profitable. Do we have any infos about that ?

With a small rig or medium rig, I prefer a medium pool.  Too small of a pool and you might as well be solo mining, too big and your hash is buried beneath the rubble.
4633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop fuckin' around, fork the son-of-a-bitch already. on: September 16, 2016, 05:16:47 PM
Planned, well executed, not rushed hard fork for the sake of achieving  better performance, stability, speed -  pushing evolution in general is welcomed and needed.
The problem is that some users are scared/don't know what forking is about and I'm afraid that forking will always cause problems and panic - at least initially.

It is fine and makes sense as long as everyone knows the deal.  There are a lot of people that have a wallet and use it on occasion, but do not follow the Bitcoin news and what not.
4634  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New to alt coin trading, Help on: September 15, 2016, 05:51:38 PM
I have acutally been playing a little bit with Burst, just because of the concept and Algo. To stay on topic, I brought it up because the last few days that I was tinkering around it seemed the price was pretty stable.
4635  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is cloud mining worth it? on: September 15, 2016, 05:43:12 PM

Hi
As title says... is cloud mining worth it? do you recommend any cloud mining website? (mining bitcoin)
Just trying to get my head around things.
Thanks!

In my own experience cloud mining have turned out to not be trustworthy or let me say majority of them because quite a number of them have turned out to be scam
4636  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to sell stuffs online and earn Bitcoin? on: September 15, 2016, 05:41:53 PM

Thank you for this list , I don't know a lot of sites in this list , maybe because I use this forum for every thing related to Bitcoin including buying/selling stuff , I really recognize that Bitcoin world is growing every day , thus I hope you update this list from time to time .

@op, I want to say thank you for this because even with my rank here, I didnt even know such ways of earning coins exist in the sense that the popular ones are the campaigns, gambling, trading, service rendering etc.  But this is actually a means of diversifying and at the same time earning some coins.
4637  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The best cloud mining site !!! on: September 15, 2016, 05:39:08 PM

I don't think it is a good idea to invest in cloud mining these days, actually it always was very risky and difficult to get ROI, just look at the reports and listen to the recommendations. If you want to mine, at the current state perhaps the best idea is to buy equipment to mine altcoins.

Its not only risky but its not advisable because any cloud minning site to me is a potential HYIP no matter the promise made

In addition to their structure or whatever what they claim to justify their legitimacy because sooner or later they will turn to scam even the ones paying now dont have much the ability to go into the future.
4638  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: how do i join signature campaign? on: September 15, 2016, 05:31:56 PM

4639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: September 15, 2016, 05:24:48 PM

If I was rich I would gamble due to the fact you got plenty of money it would not be bad to sometimes do it for some nice enjoyment, of course not too much but sometimes.
I think if you do it sometimes it will not let you come in big problems.

Your thoughts kind of align with mine in the sense that there is nothing wrong in making more money and I also believe that gambling is not a respecter of status
4640  Other / Off-topic / Re: du you spend coins on real life. on: September 15, 2016, 05:20:31 PM

Yup.
many times.
I have spend bitcoin many times for mostly on digital services. Bitcoin is really awesome as all transaction are transparent and instant . I like this feature very much because we dont have to wait for long time for getting/ receiving payments.

Majority or even everyone on this forum will definitely do this because whats even the point if I cant spend in real life from buying to trading then making more thereafter converting to FIAT if large enough then using it acquire what BITCOIn can get... So I do spend in real life...
