4641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin was hijacked and centralized on: July 18, 2020, 04:54:10 PM
Yeah well Paypal is still better faster and cheaper. I don't see why I need to buy Bitcoin just to buy something from Japan. A ponzi is something that relies only on new recruits to grow. Since when was Bitcoin backed by something else than new recruits?
Who are pushing you to buy bitcoin? Stuck with PayPal if you need to use it. We aren't saying PayPal is bad, but at the same time Bitcoin isn't bad for us. Do you know what is a Ponzi scheme? Read this article. Here is an important quote;
Quote
A Ponzi scheme (/ˈpɒnzi/, Italian: [ˈpontsi]; also a Ponzi game)[1] is a form of fraud that lures investors and pays profits to earlier investors with funds from more recent investors.[2] The scheme leads victims to believe that profits are coming from product sales or other means, and they remain unaware that other investors are the source of funds.
Once you will read Bold part then you should realize Bitcoin isn't a Ponzi scheme. Because its not promising you anything during buy, you are just buying a digital currency, so exactly we can't say it as an investment. This is the peer to peer decentralized electronic money. Of course bitcoin isn't backed by any centralized organization and that's why still we could say Bitcoin is decentralized. But Bitcoin is backed by the community which is stronger than any centralized organization.

4643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: possible to send BTC from Bitcoin core when the blockchain is still downloading? on: July 17, 2020, 05:21:42 PM
I think this article would help you to broadcast your transaction, How can I recover funds from a Bitcoin Core wallet.dat file without having the entire blockchain downloaded? But don't use Bitpay, I will recommend for Electrum wallet to broadcast your raw transaction.

Be careful during sign a raw transaction about fees, sometimes people ended up with 100BTC fees.
4644  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop loss after buying coin on: July 17, 2020, 08:25:06 AM
I didn't used coinbase pro, so I don't know if stop loss features available there. But those exchange support stop loss you may set it on there. There are some advantages & disadvantage of the stop loss. Advantage is, the stop loss would help you to prevent huge loss. The disadvantage is, you would miss profits due to stop loss if coin price start pump after hit stop loss. But personally I believe advantage is stronger than disadvantage. You may use stop loss to prevent huge loss of your total portfolio.
4645  Other / Meta / Re: Why only securities have a tagged like this on childboard of Marketplace? on: July 17, 2020, 07:57:33 AM
I believe oldest members here know about Ponzi schemes and related some other scams. This warning probably would appropriate on every board to warn users (but limited). I believe this warning message would visible to guests and for newbies same like flag warning. So that newbies would learn from beginning about such as scams and guest would save their money. Even it would annoying for newbies, but they should learn. Its because scammers are able to make their post on any board, they aren't limited nor it's possible to monitor them.
4646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is my own opinion about Bitcoin block halving on: July 17, 2020, 07:14:29 AM
To newbies, I always suggest to use forum search button before you create a new thread. Ton of threads have created about the Halving which are more informative than your topics. To know more about the Halving please read this article Bitcoin Halving Explained.

Anyway, just for clarification, there is no connection with bitcoin price with the Halving. It's just a FOMO create by the community. Bitcoin Halving only effect on block reward and circulation supply, nothing else. Please read more before you create a new thread about something else.
4647  Economy / Reputation / Re: Legendary. It is time to bookmark the achievement on: July 16, 2020, 04:25:39 PM
Congratulations man! You deserve it. I am on the way, hope after some days I will discover myself as a Legendary as well. I don't know how much activity fixed for me to become Legendary, but if its same of you then likely I need to wait one more month. Otherwise I have to wait for 1000 activities.

Anyway, keep up your good contribution to the forum.
4648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lessons from the Past: When bitcoin's price stabilised on: July 16, 2020, 06:33:24 AM
Alright, current price movements isn't boring for me, because silence is forecast of sudden violence. As we know current global economic conditions isn't so good at the moment due to pandemics. But comparatively bitcoin playing very well even during this pandemic. When we have a cure, then our global economy will bump. So, at the same time we would expect a bull runs on bitcoin price as well. Most likely OP points are valid, it would repeat once again. We don't know when it would happen, but the overall price trend indicating for good things.
4649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will mining pools exist after 2100? on: July 16, 2020, 04:55:28 AM
You should read this article for more better understand, BITCOIN BLOCK REWARDS WILL BE JUST 1 SATOSHI BY 2140. Hope you understand that we don't need split Satoshi. There you will find a chart that will describe you mining reward up to 2140. Take a look on below picture.

Source; https://twitter.com/CryptooIndia/status/1193493686383824898

So if bitcoin exist after 2140 then everyone related stuff will be exist like mining pools. We don't know what will happen after 120 years. The only thing will happen if bitcoin exist, the mining reward will end, but miners will get transaction fees which would enough to generate their revenue.
4650  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Finally used a bitcoin ATM successfully! on: July 16, 2020, 04:06:23 AM
Congrats for your first BTM use. Feeling excited, but fortunately I don't have, such as an opportunity. I am curious about how you input USD into the machine (sorry if I am missing something on the OP). I mean, did you used a credit / debit card to buy bitcoin? And is there required credit/debit card if you want to sell your bitcoin?

Sadly fee is quite high, but at least there is an opportunity buy/sell your bitcoin in emergency case. Wondering you paid fee $10 to buy $50. Is it will increase if you buy $2K comparatively? Or its fixed fee for a single transaction? If its fixed for a single transaction, then likely it would reasonable when someone buy higher amount. Otherwise really fees are high.
4651  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reason of recent high fee- Twitter API hack on: July 16, 2020, 03:29:24 AM
As we know bitcoin transaction fee increase once transaction quantity increase on the bitcoin blockchain. We have noticed few ongoing scams by Twitter hack, so if hackers transaction effect much of the blockchain, then we might say current increased fee due to Twitter hack. But personally I don't think this is the real reason behind the increased fee. Sometimes normally increase and decrease transaction on the blockchain without any specific reason.
4652  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: i am new here in this forum on: July 15, 2020, 06:24:27 PM

4653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto cards for USDT/Tether on: July 15, 2020, 08:59:46 AM
What is the difference between use traditional bank card and USDT card? You are throwing yourself in risk, not only about your identity but also about your fund. For more easy explanation you may read this thread. On bitcoin card no one will able to block or freeze your bitcoin before transfer on your card. I mean bitcoin would hold on your own address which private key will under control of you. But for stable coin, risk is more. Any time Tether Limited would freeze your USDT even it is holding your own address. You can say its disadvantage of the centralized stable coin.
4654  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advise for the beginners to succeed on: July 15, 2020, 08:30:56 AM
Every newbies should realize their intention to join in this forum. At the beginning, perhaps most of us joined in this forum for learning. So, when we learn everything about this forum, including earning from here, then we concentrate to rank up. But we forget about our contribution to the forum. Rank up isn't really very easy nowadays due to the merit system. That's the main prevention to rank up. It's our bad habit that we always look for shortcut which is impossible for rank up. So, first we have to concentrate about our contribution to the forum. Share your best knowledge and experience with other users. It doesn't mean you will receive merit on your every post. Don't regret when some of your topics isn't merited, just continue your contribution with following forum rules. Help other users as much as possible. Then obviously community will give you good return once a time.
4655  Economy / Reputation / Re: Betnomi negative trust and red flag appeal ✅ on: July 14, 2020, 03:52:23 AM
Counter feedback will remove this.
How does this work? I see there is one positive feedback in betnomi profile and two negative feedback. When will warning be removed? After net score: 0 or +1? Despite having positive feedback, the warning is popping up. Can a DT member add a positive feedback to betnomi and check logging out this? If this works, I think betnomi should be given some positive counter feedbacks.
Seems its working on '0' score  That means as I answered above (edited) score should equal or more. Anyway, left counter feedback against ICOEthics feedback's. I can't see any warning now as a guest. Hope problem is solved for now about red warning.
4656  Economy / Reputation / Re: Betnomi negative trust and red flag appeal ✅ on: July 14, 2020, 02:57:46 AM
For some reason, the flag is still active on our posts. Not completely clear or totally understand how this flag and negative trust system works.
This isn't 'flag' which is viewing on your thread. This is called 'warning' message for newbies & guests due to your current negative feedback. Your flag already become 'inactive' by default. So no one will see your red flag even from your profile unless they click on inactive flag. I think flag & feedback work almost same algorithm. If your negative feedback greater than positive feedback then there will be a warning message for newbies & guest. So your current positive trust is smaller than negative trust that's why warning message popping up. Your flag oppose is greater than support and this flag will not visible by default to anyone. Hope you understand how its working.

By the way, you have to wait for 'TheNewAnon135246' response when he will come online. The rest negative feedback will be solved by counter feedback. Otherwise one or more DT members will have to leave positive counter feedback.
4657  Economy / Reputation / Re: Am I a shitposter? - asking for an honest opinion on: July 13, 2020, 05:09:40 PM
The thing is, our campaign manager, Brainboss, thinks my posts don't meet 'quality standards' and has demoted me to a lower rank in the bitvest campaign.
If this is your concern then we can't do anything. Because every campaign managers have their own standard to prevent spam. Really we don't know which standard has been following by your manager. Also you are not the one who will determine or evaluate other participants post quality. You may friendly ask your manager to point out your mistake, so you will be able to correct yourself although manager isn't obliged and he have right to remove anyone from the campaign for any reason.

For more simple solution you have right to ignore any manager if you don't like their standard. So if you think manager doing something wrong you are free to leave. If you think manager abusing campaign somehow then you may ask owner via PM with some clue or perhaps you may create direct post here instead of indirect post.
4658  Economy / Reputation / Re: Am I a shitposter? - asking for an honest opinion on: July 13, 2020, 12:45:27 PM
Why is this matter of concern if someone call you spammer or obvious spammer? Even still now sometimes few user call me spammer. So what? Should I stop my contributions due their criticize. I don't think so, I don't care if someone call me spammer. I just simply ask them to report my post if they strongly believe my posts are consider as spam. For that reason, reputation thread isn't appropriate unless someone called you scammer.

By the way, noticed from your post history that you are really not an obvious spammer at all. You should build your skin more thicker if you really want to see yourself as a established member of this forum.
4659  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: big issue with blockchain wallet please help on: July 13, 2020, 08:02:28 AM
Good to see that you have recovered your fund and it was huge amount at the moment. Don't use any web wallet in future to avoid such as unexpected issues. However since you are using Electrum now so we could say you are almost safe. But I will highly encourage you to buy a hardware wallet and I will prefer for Ledger Nano X to hold your bitcoin and other crypto-currency. Since I am using Ledger that's why preferring you and it's easy to use as well. Seems there is 20% off on Ledger website, so grab the chance and keep your fund secure.
4660  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin.com uses bitcoin cash as default currency on: July 13, 2020, 07:20:26 AM
How can someone buy BCH and think that he is buying BTC is beyond me, considering the huge difference in price. I mean, if you buy BCH thinking that you are actually buying BTC, but discounted for 97% (and not questioning yourself how can that be possible) you will have hard time in crypto. Hell, even on that website they make distinction between those two.
Its possible because their information misleading buyers. When a buyer want to buy bitcoin then he have to use credit/debit card. That's the reason the price calculations will be in usd during buy process. So sometimes buyers just concentrate on USD amount instead of deeply look on btc/bch amount. And after bought eventually they received BCH instead of BTC. I can't recall the story but there is some claim about that buyers received BCH on his BTC address after bought. It's a mistake by buyers they hadn't noticed deeply the amount of BTC/BCH.
