4641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Indian boy committed suicide after losing money by Betting in IPL on: November 25, 2020, 08:43:39 PM
Recently an Indian young boy committed suicide as he lost enough money by betting in IPL. He lost all of his money then borrowed money from his friends and bet with it in a hope of win back something. But he lost everything and took the step finally.
Quote
He had taken this extreme step as he was involved in the cricket (IPL) betting due to which he faced financial loss and could not bear the pressure. When the other roommates went for work, Sonu had committed suicide in the morning.
Source

This is nothing new, we know a lot of gambler committed suicide earlier after losing large amount in gambling. I have found another news reletaed to this IPL's Dark Side: A Rise in Suicide Cases Has Greeted the Return of Live Cricket on TV

People shouldn't bet with the money what they can't afford to loss. Borrowing money for betting is worst decision ever. Every gambler know these things but many of them still do it. Does this kind of news make you worried? Share your thought about this.

Sometimes, gambling addiction and greediness could lead us to wrong decisions that might also cause us depression and frustrations in life. That's the reason why we're always advised to gamble what we could only afford to lose. Borrowing money just to gamble is really a risky strategy because there's no guarantee of winning in gambling so there's no way for you to pay back the amount that you have borrowed in time.

You would really be putting up yourself into big trouble if you do gamble with borrowed money because chances of losing those amounts is high rather than on making profit.

Nothing is assured even if you are that too confident that you can repay those amounts because in gambling theres no such thing about guaranteed profits or win.So its just

right for us to think that its totally careless act or too dumb to consider on gambling on someones money yet you arent sure if you can repay it or not.
4642  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: who actually moves the price of bitcoin? on: November 25, 2020, 07:46:00 PM
the direction of the crypto currency market this year is clearly different from 2017,
in 2017 the direction of the crypto market was mentioned like a bubble, but this year I did not hear a bubble,
and it must make us all happy that what moves the market is not a big institution, or the whale, but the market itself.

In short, this market cant really be that easily manipulated due to the supply had been scattered on the entire community.

Well, there are big institutions or whales that might be accumulating much more coins than on typical ones but at least you can guarantee that there are

lots of people who do get engage with it which basically means that there is indeed a demand.Comparing price movement in 2017 and 2020

is really different in terms of organic growth compared to a bubble.
4643  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $318K by December 2021 on: November 23, 2020, 10:52:40 PM
I don't even believe that it could touch $100K even at the end of 2021 so why would I even believe in his prediction?
If you have been in crypto for years you would know that going into that high price is too hard there are some unpredicted moves of the market.
We couldn't expect it to always go up without having a correction.
Another question that comes to my mind is, does it even matter? What I mean is if bitcoin reaches that kind of price during 2021 I'm still going to hold my coins, and if it doesn't I'm still going to hold my coins as well so it makes no difference, the only ones that care about such a fast growth are the ones that trade the markets, for everyone else it is kind of irrelevant, so while it would be nice to see bitcoin reaching that kind of price it is not going to change my posture at all.
Not seeing that this would be applicable to all since even those hodlers will really most likely to spot out for those top peak prices yet we know that we
do have our own targets and goals on when we should sell.So this is always a personal preference or own terms in regards to their views and making up decisions.
Talking if it does really matter? You cant really say that people wont really make any reactions of it because if we do talk about 318k in a matter of year then
its really impossible and we should consider on how long we've been waiting before the price do able to reach up its ATH? its 3 years and looking into
the price we've been discussing where talking about 6 digits which isnt really realistic.
4644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers forced into unpaid leave on: November 23, 2020, 09:34:54 PM
Now we can see a perfect example that demonstrates huuuge privileges of online gambling and casinos in particular. I bet not only they aren't facing a crisis, while everyone else is, but are actually gaining more revenue now, because the gamblers never stopped playing, right? They switched to online  Lips sealed

Thats the other side of things and we are talking mainly on physical casinos on here. Its understandable that those online casinos are taking some benefits now
due to pandemic situation and also they dont really need that much of a worker yet handling out a site wont require much of human work force.
So lets get back to physical casinos then i have a feeling that on next year where the vaccine would already be available soon then these places will start
to open up their doors completely but for now since everything isnt confirmed yet then those workers would really suffer at the moment.
They do just need to hope that their previous employers will consider on rehiring them back once the business had opened or trying to get
revenue gradually.
4645  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC.com - Withdraw Disabled, is it scam ? on: November 23, 2020, 08:56:05 PM
Of course, you got your fund, no doubt. I hope, it will solve very soon and withdraw your fund. Though hitbtc shows an error, it is a good exchanger. So, it is impossible to scam. I had an account long time ago and it’s still ok.

It isn't a good exchange although I hope he gets his funds back especially if he does compete their KYC verification as that obviously has to be the reason behind the errors he's experiencing. HiBTC are out the conversation when trust worthy exchange are been debated on. The exchange is losing volume daily as their customers are moving over to other exchanges.

There's no impossibility as you claim, they're scammers and shouldn't be recommended to be used for trading especially newbies. I doubt all the accusations surfacing of them disallowing access to funds are all false, sure there would be few bad eggs wanting to spoil the reputation for the exchange but the fact is HiBTC isn't the be trusted.
They dont usually respond on someones issues and it had been tainted out into their reputation that they arent really that trustworthy.
There are lots of exchangers out there which is way more better than on this one but still there are people who do get lost track and ending up
on using these exchangers - not completely a scam but when it comes to severity of the  issues and complaints then this one really had that.
So it isnt really that recommended and for the part of op since he had ask to comply something then he should really follow it up
so those funds would be released.
4646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Major differences between Bitcoin rally 2017 and 2020 on: November 23, 2020, 05:00:21 PM
As Bitcoin bullrun continues there are some differences between 2017 and today.
1. Whales bitcoin addresses keep growing and balances are not shrinking that means more holders, in 2017 there were more whales sellers.
2. Much more institutional investors are flowing into bitcoin.
3. There was a dominance of Asian investors and money in 2017 and now with PayPal, CME, Square more money is coming from America.
4. As TA guys may notice price action of Bitcoin rally 2020 looks more technically prdeictable than in 2017.

What differences did you notice?

So here's my counter-reaction on what you had said.

1. More whale or big player accumulation then doesnt mean that they would just remain hodlers and one time they would really tend to sell their bags.

2. They've been here already and just quietly accumulating for some of them.

3. Asian and American? Theres no precise number or statistics with that when it comes to dominance.

4. Bitcoin price or rally is never been technically predictable. We can just say that charts are effective now just because the price
   did go along with it.
4647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: THE MOST PAINFUL DAY IN MY BETTING CAREER on: November 22, 2020, 11:59:20 PM
It is difficult to define what is the most painful day for each player. That can turn out very well. just when you think you've had the most painful day, it may well happen that some time later (or after a few years) you still have a painful day. At that point, you should actually stop gambling.
Not necessarily to stop gambling, at least from it and be responsible, it's okay to still remember our painful defeat but it should gives us a positive effect like learning from it, and not keep it hunting us, let's move on and continue to gamble, but in a responsible manner this time.
There are people who do eventually learn and there are some who do keep way running from it just like they've been haunted which it isnt really that
right to do so.We do eventually learn and do realize that it isnt the end of the world when you lost that big.Just move on and be wise on next time
and since you do have already the idea then on next engagement you are pretty much aware the possibilities of things to happen and with that
you can able to avoid or engage depending on the situation. We do have all those painful days of our gambling career.
4648  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is getting ready for 20k again on: November 22, 2020, 11:24:44 PM
Highest closing bar for BTC was 18953 and price now is 18633 so its pretty full to the whole spectrum of price possibilities in the last 3 years.    Its hard to say what caps aspirations in price but mostly I expect steady progress to take us past 20k to maybe 24k but if we just spike up then I also expect similar sells downwards.   Right now we're rising slightly too fast for it to be called completely stable, its very fast momentum above 2 day average.
Dont say that it is the average kind of movement but this is way slower than on what happened on that year 2017 which i dont see for some next price crash after
we hit up the ATH.We would surely past 20k price but hopefully not on a very fast manner and also sell-offs are normal but lets hope that not all would really be
considering on the same target or goal because that will surely be a deep red that we will experience once again but i do have the feeling that it would
be different this time yet adoption level isnt really just the same into those early years where it can result on having a strong price support.
4649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost more in the process to recover ? on: November 22, 2020, 10:00:12 PM
The more you chase your loses the more you can't recover. Most people have a gambling problem and can't manage to stop when already losing the game. Acceptance is need when you have lost the game. Those experience should keep in mind that in gambling we can experience to win and lose. Gambling is just a pure of luck and good thing to do is to take profit so this is important when winning the game.

It becomes an addiction and due to lack of self-control one is not able to stop the gambling despite losing lots of money. So we read so many articles and on this thread how once they were winning but due to greed they end up losing or lost more money because of playing to recover the lost money. This will not stop till the time we do have self-control on our self and do not play just to win from gambling.

And this is why gambling business is profitable because the cycle to continue and progress due to this kind of gambler behavior. They cant stop out themselves
unless they do bust up their entire bankroll or does have a hole into their pocket.Dont ever consider on chasing up losses because this will really just
make the situation even more worst and in result you would surely regret when the time comes that everything had been messed up due to this kind of behavior.
Move on and call it a day and as long you dont compromise your finances or life savings then you are still good on playing but when you do already
reached that state then better to think again.
4650  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which is the secret to success in trading? on: November 22, 2020, 09:26:00 PM
there is nothing wrong with imitating trading, because before we find our own characteristics in trading we need to reflect on those who have been trading for a long time, the most important thing is high willingness and patience. because controlling emotions is very difficult, especially when faced with high volume market movements, often making emotions uncontrollable.
Imitating or learning from someone is never a bad idea but it becomes a problem when you are too dependent on someone else for your profits and that is why a lot of traders criticize copy trading because instead of learning you are only earning and in future this can have drastic consequences.

I have fortunately been able to read interviews and articles from some of the best traders, not in the crypto market but in general. They have one thing in common and that is to have a correct vision when you invest like if you read the story of how Jeff Bezos became so rich he always had the long term vision with Amazon and never focused on profits and that is what led to his success and same goes with investing and trading, have a good vision with what you are doing.

Always set goals or plans on making yourself better into this trading field. This might not really be that easy but it can possibly be learned if you do really put up some

efforts and time with it and of course where mistakes will be your best teacher into this kind of circumstances. You should have goals or targets on a specific period of time where

you do push up your limit and then relearn on what you had go along the way.Theres no secret when it comes to success but rather having that persistence of hardwork and dediction
on learning for yourself.

Dont be dependent too much into others just because you've been thinking that you can make it on your own.
4651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Defi project like game pump and dump on: November 21, 2020, 11:58:39 PM
What do you think of defi projects, most of them are only good for the short term.To make a big profit, we must enter at the right moment, if we are wrong we will lose very deeply.
Is this still surprising? Just like into those ICO IEO STO... When it comes or to mention out pump and dump then its not a new thing.
Had been pretty common that there are lots of projects that do have this kind of behavior due some of them is manipulative
and some of them had just been hyped up for the sake of some fomo then dump later on and make those noobs
do whine and cry that they had lost money on certain project. So we should really be careful on dealing up with things.
4652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake or nitrogen my point of view on: November 21, 2020, 11:21:15 PM
-

Nitrogen needs to wake up as the reality is a lot of gambling casinos are now competitive with their features.
If they will not improve their services, their popularity will really go downhill.
They need to realize that they are not alone in this business, a lot are now trying to get their share in the market.
But it is good to read some insights from a high roller, I'm just a small time player here.  Wink
Im also a small fry when it comes to gambling but feedbacks like this like in real time basing on user experience is relevant.

If small time players do experience such non good scenario then expect for those big bettors to experience the same.
Theres no doubt that they will really be less popular compared to those bookies which do offer something better in terms of
experience and value of bets or even on just to their support responsiveness.

When they would realize? When its too late? They should act now and avoid to let their players or users to
go into other site or else that would really be a loss.
4653  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin be Trade at $318,000 by End of 2021? on: November 21, 2020, 10:59:28 PM
$318k no way. Maybe it could peak at that on the following market cycle, in like 2026 or something.

For this market cycle $100k I think is the main price target and the peak is likely to fall within 20% of that I'd say. I think it either goes close to $100k but failed to break it and crashes, it it breaks $100k and immediately shoots up another ten or twenty thousand in the ensuing market euphoria but that only lasts a few days and then it crashes.

End of 2021 is a possibility, but it could also take until 2022 sometime. My general prediction for a while now has been $80k-$120k peak sometime between Dec 2021 and Dec 2022.
No, i dont think that it can reach up that high even if we do say for a decade or more because if we do consider that price per bitcoin then imagine on what would
be the entire cap would be? It will be topping out or blow out those fiat in terms of marketcap in water and do we really think that they would allow such thing to happen.?

Being bullish isnt bad and making these speculations basing on technicals arent bad too but we should at least be realistic.
4654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake or nitrogen my point of view on: November 21, 2020, 10:24:55 PM
Well, most people do know on how Nitrogen did really slapped down its reputation and popularity in to the floor. We cant deny that this one is the one of the most

known bookies for some years but due to some shady circumstances and lack of some service or shall we say didnt really that perform well plus having some worst

odds then theres no doubt that people will really find another home for them to make bets. This time you had mentioned Stake which i havent tried to do so since

ive been playing in sportsbet instead but i might try later on.  Cheesy
4655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Survey of Millionaires finds 73% own or want to invest in crypto on: November 20, 2020, 11:52:07 PM
Not a surprise, I think.
Rich people won't stop to invest on something which will give them profit and it happen that Bitcoin, especially at this moment, is really a profitable investment given how huge the price increase is. There's a momentum and I've also heard that many people are again interested with cryptos right now. Probably those who are calling this technology a scam, have holdings. If things would be quite consistent, there is indeed a possibility for the ATH to be broken and that's being anticipated.
For sure a lot of rich people actually know about bitcoin but maybe some of them were just afraid to invest at first. But since bitcoin is now doing good and it's also increasing its popularity, they are now considering investing in bitcoin, which is nice. It's a good sign that not just billionaires and big companies but more people, in general, are now starting to recognize bitcoin and wanting to adopt or to invest in it. And for sure that this will continue in the next coming years.

You can divide those fellas on which group did they belong neither to those who do accept and willing to take the risk or does have that kind of business minded type then most of the time these
people will know about on whats new and whats trending in the market.

Theres no doubt that Bitcoin will really poke out interest not only into its Fomo'ed price but into its actual utility.Earning is just a bonus but sadly majority
is been seeing this as the main thing.
4656  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2017 - 2020. Better price not yet to come. Be careful on: November 20, 2020, 10:32:13 PM
I never imagined bitcoin reaching this price of 18k+ by now, talk more of the end of the year. In fact, in my interview at the reputation section, I had predicted a 15k price closure for the year but what is happening now beats all that and it doesn't seem like it's going to be rejected too far below 18k should it stop appreciating in price. So, it's right to say the best price is yet to come as it's by far beating all expectations and only more highs can be expected especially before this month of November runs out. A lot of hoarders are very much smiling right now.
Lucky for those who believed and still hold or to those who do able to buy when the price was still in 10k price on which we are still on sideways movement for several months.
They are indeed making at the moment and as you mentioned about speculations then theres are lots of threads that do even talk where the price can only reached out 14-16k for
this year and im one of them that do believe on such thing but all of those speculations and presumptions had been broken and this is why bitcoin is really unpredictable where
it can surprise out everybody into its potential when it comes to growth in a short span of time.
4657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 and its impact on gambling on: November 20, 2020, 08:32:15 PM
The funny thing is, they applied for a recount in Georgia and lost that too, and they applied to courts again and they lost that too Cheesy. It is obvious that the "aim" of Trump team is not to actually try to win, they know they lost, there is no logical and sensible lawyer in the entire world to take this case and try to win it, they know they will not win at all.

What they however trying to do is obvious, they are going to try to do this as long as they can, put the doubt seed in everyone's mind, and when they eventually leave office they are going to act like victims to win back in 2024. There is a huge chance Trump becomes a candidate in 2024 once again and I feel like republican party could potentially nominate him again so this will be base of his operations and he will call out foul play on his 2024 campaign.
Do you really think that he would have some chance on year 2024? It all varies or depends on Bidens performance with that 4 year term and if americans do see that it fits them
well then they wouldnt consider any candidate to be voted next which will purely stick out to Biden but who knows? No one can predict out on what would happen because
everything can be changed when it comes to own personal views and into the masses. It all matters on performance and changes that had been made.
For Trumps current rumbling about recount and other things then its just pure useless.
4658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What was the biggest airdrop you have received so far? on: November 20, 2020, 07:46:56 PM
Hey guys,

As it seems altcoins are on track (a little) again and we can't forget the richness (even if it was small) those airdrops have provided, let's discuss the biggest airdrop you've received (not the biggest on-paper till now). Also, list the token price on airdrop and today's date - it will help us evaluate whether airdropping token was a good idea from projects' health perspective.

Mine:
Ontology (ONT): 1000 ONT [Early supporter airdrop]
Price when I sold: $3.5
Current price: $0.5
As far as i remember there are several airdrops which i did really make out some money but one did i really remember giving me out $1000
with just those shit tokens.

eBTC. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ebtcnew/

I sold when it hit the peak price of $1.6 each which i did received those free tokens and did luckily able to sell it out while its still hyping.
4659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe NBA is rigged? on: November 20, 2020, 06:10:56 PM
Of course, if it were rigged, it would be a disadvantage to us bettors. All our attempts of researching would become pointless. But the good news is that it's not rigged. Smiley And my vote went for NO.

Since the 2007 NBA betting scandal there were no serious accusations against the NBA, and even that case didn't imply the games were rigged.

Its really a disadvantage for us yet this wont really be going with the path on what you had analyzed since its been rigged. So far i agree that aside on that 2007 event where

there are no other incident about possible rigging or shady calls. We cant completely say NO that it isnt rigged if it happened in the past but those were just allegations but

theres no solid proof that had been presented so it can be still considered on not to be a valid one.We can have our own insights though but majority is believing on the same thing.
4660  Economy / Speculation / Re: Congrats to everyone for reaching $20k again. on: November 19, 2020, 11:11:30 PM
First of all, it will be good if Bitcoin reaches $20K and last time I check the previous ATH price of Bitcoin during December 2017 was $19,665.39 which make Bitcoin to have never clinched the $20K price range before but why did the OP say the price to reach $20K again?
With that been said, I don't expect the $20K range to achieve very fast cause some slightly market correction will happen just to strengthen the bullish.
Why not?
I mean the price going from 11000 usd to 15000 usd and to 18000 usd now very fast , how can you say dont expect it?
We are 10% away from 20000 usd and considering we are often sees the price gained 7% to 10% in a day , so why not once again?
I thought there is a correction few days ago but it is not yet happened , a real hard correction has not yet arrived.
The bull run is unstoppable , a lot of new people still join the ride.

Dont take it too negatively because you cant blame out people on to have those kind of perceptions towards crash or price hesitance due to the experience that
we do had in the past where we did really slapped almost into the floor.

20k isnt really that too far off into this current price which is playing around 17800-18000 level which i do saw that this might be taking a while or does
need even more sentiments to push up the price even way more higher.

Its good to see that there are still people who do still end up on holding their coins upto this very moment.
Its really in good feeling that you do able to withstand those attempts of panic sell after all these years.
