4641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev on: March 03, 2020, 10:43:31 AM
Currently Joshua holds the WBA, IBF and WBO belts. He has 24 fights: 23-0-1. His only defeat coming at the hands of Andy Ruiz Jnr. He has 21 knock outs and 2 wins by points decision.

What do you think will happen?
This fight looks interesting Shocked, I'm now getting hyped. Joshua should be very careful on this guy, I can feel on his aura that he is a tough one. And look on his face, we can see that he is not coming this far for joking Grin.

Anyway, if we will take a look on their records, for me they are even. Yeah! Pulev got more wins but Joshua also got one loss too and that could be an equalizer. Besides, Joshua got a higher knockout percentage thus I'm more rooting on him. This is one hell of a fight! I'm so excited now Cheesy.

@JollyGood there’s no doubt in my mind that Joshua will win this match because he’s younger and has the desire to build a name for himself, meanwhile on the other hand Pulev is way past his prime and I’ll be surprised if he can last the entire match.

Pulev is severely disadvantaged in this match imo. Just the fact that Joshua could be said to be still in his primes while Pulev just got out of that range is already a huge factor, then there's also the development of Joshua in his past matches. Still, Pulev would still probably put out quite a good fight. He's had quite a number of ventures and experiences, and as said by quite a bit of people, has the wisdom and defensive power to hold out. Though compared to Joshua, he may not have that much Knock-out power (comparing the # of Win KO's they've gotten), he still has his skills and experience to back them up.

Have never seen both of them fight, and I've tried to look at some of their highlights. Addition to this post, the factor that Joshua's K'O percentage over Pulev is higher which is also a good point to consider. This will be a good match to watch.

@Alimand I also feel that Joshua will knockout Pulev and win the match what do you think of this, do you agree that this is a realistic scenario for this match.
4642  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Drops $1,600 Amidst Global Uncertainty. What's next for BTC? on: March 03, 2020, 08:17:07 AM
As you have said, we are still in the support region of 20 moving average so we are still good.

Those geo political happenings around us should not trigger the worst case scenario. We all know that we are very different from traditional markets, that's why crypto or bitcoin might be a good leverage for financial or even the pandemic scare of corona virus.

@Jating you’re absolutely correct as bitcoins have not been badly hit by Coronavirus in comparison to other assets, and in my personal opinion bitcoin prices can definitely recover in coming days hence I feel that we all should consider buying more bitcoins while it’s available at a cheaper valuation.

I agree with you, the price is still hazy, but let's not forget some positive signs:

 - Optimism about havling may lead some to buy more in the hope of a higher price.
 - Historically, Bitcoin performed well during the second quarter of each year.
 - The price was around $ 3,000 a few months ago so the current decline is just a correction.
 - There is no historical resistance at $ 8,000 to the downside, so we will either return to $ 9000 or $ 7000.

@hugeblack even I’m hoping that the halving event acts as a catalyst for bitcoin prices to shoot upwards, and yes bitcoin prices often tend to give good returns towards the end of the year e.g. the December 2017 bitcoin bulls rally.
4643  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I was asked to use a hand sanitiser this morning. on: March 03, 2020, 02:39:18 AM
I've been visiting Somerset in the van for a few days, and last night I stayed in a picnic area and truck stop. This morning I went into the cafe for an early morning coffee, and I was offered a bottle of hand sanitiser, and asked to use some. This is obviously as a result of the Coron Virus appearing in the UK. I had no problem with complying, but I'm not sure how useful it is. Far more of a problem could be the communal use of the 'loos in my opinion.

@Kuffy that’s an excellent practice from a reputed place, and I’m glad you didn’t create a scene and simply complied with their request. Furthermore if you’re travelling then using sanitisers is a good option, but if you’re at home then use soap or liquid hand wash as those are more effective against coronavirus.

One thing I noticed on Stake.com is that they are not giving tutorials or manuals, explaining to new users how their games work. So, if you are new to say Sports betting, you will not know what to do. I approached their support staff and they acknowledged that and said that they are willing to teach new people how to use the different games, if they get stuck.

I think that takes away support from people who actually have game based problems and a quick tutorial on each game would not take a lot of time to implement. What do you guys think.... should they create tutorials for every game for the newbies?

Hello! Smiley

Regarding Sports betting at the moment there are guides about Asian handicap, Asian totals markets and about difference between odds display. You can find them on these links:

Also, there are tutorials on slots, baccarat, video poker and blackjack:

We will surely take more time into writing up tutorials like those to help out to our new players. You are also more then welcome to ping us on support platform or in forum regarding any game or sports book market (preferably tag Darko, Dusan or MilanDj for sports book) and we will gladly provide the explanation on how it works.  Smiley

Ah, thank you very much for these links, I did not know about them. You should give these handy guides to the support personal to give to people if they ask about this. It would be nice if the chatbot could have a automated response to display these links, if you ask about this on the chat screen. < The problem with this is the bet requirements to enable you to chat or to ask for help there and also the hostile response you might get if you did >  Roll Eyes

It is nice that the tutorials are provided on your own forum and not external links to other sites, because that would open up a whole can of worms, if you get redirected to malicious phishing sites.  Roll Eyes

@DarkoReborn these are really helpful tutorials, and I’ll be honest I too didn’t knew about these tutorials before. @Kakmakr I’ll agree with your recommendations of automated chat bots giving out these tutorials, and it’ll be really nice if Stake can test it and implement it.

4645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FA Cup and EFL Cup Prediction Thread on: March 02, 2020, 01:40:49 PM
The Carabao cup final takes place this evening, and it's Manchester City Vs Aston Villa in this one, I am sure the English fa would have wanted a bigger encounter in this final for better marketing, but Villa deserve credit for getting here and they will have a shot at the title this evening.

Who's going with an upset today? After Liverpool were thrashed 3 nil yesterday, anything is possible right. I am not giving Villa any chance though, Clean victory for city imo, their first trophy this season and their their third Carabao cup on the spin.

Source: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8062653/Aston-Villa-1-2-Manchester-City-Pep-Guardiolas-win-Carabao-Cup-trot.html

It was a well deserved victory for Manchester city as they win their third consecutive carabao trophy under pep.
An equally fighting performance from Aston villa too, with Bravo last gasps save ensuring that City won the trophy without a shootout.

Manchester city mind will now be set to the champions league while villa continues their relegation battle

@ampere Manchester City played really well and I believe that they’re rejuvenated because of their champions league ban, also I’m disappointed as Aston Villa didn’t win as I genuinely believed that they would cause an upset by beating City.

I see an easy win for Arsenal tonight against Portsmouth although I think that Arsenal should never under estimate any team in this phase of the cup.It may prove really bad if Arsenal just takes the game easy and in the end they risk to be eliminated from the cup.I am hopeful Arsenal will win tonight and bring me another winning ticket.

@swogerino I would advise you against wagering on Arsenal matches as they’re not performing consistently under their new coach, hence I’m not sure if they’ll win tonight or choke and loose the match.
4646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: March 02, 2020, 07:36:29 AM
Honestly, Real was stronger today and deserved to win. It's very difficult for me to say these words as hardcore Barca fan.
In first half Barca played dolid and had few chances to score. But second half was totally dominated by Real. High intensity and very active pressing gave result. It can't be justified how much freedom Braithwaite give for Vinicius when he scored a goal. And unfortunately, it wasn't day of Messi.
Real is again on the top of table by 1 point. 12 games remains and end of season will be very hot.

@LTU_btc I’m glad you didn’t do what a typical football fan would do find excuses about why your favourite team (Barcelona) didn’t win, and it takes lots of courage to praise your competitor which shows that you’re a true fan who really loves watching this sport.

It’s also pertinent to note that Real Madrid players had more to loose as they knew a loss here would mean that Zidane would be sacked, as Real Madrid is already on the verge of exit from Champions League.

However anything can happen in these 12 games, and if Zidane really wishes to save his job then he’ll have to win all the remaining games otherwise he’ll be sacked.

4648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: March 01, 2020, 04:58:27 PM
A tense match Everton vs Manchester United but in the final minutes the goal of Everton was annulled because there was a player in front offside, it was really ready for Everton at home but luckily for Manchester United it could be a draw.

@bassbity Manchester United deserved to win this match, and I feel the only reason that they didn’t get the full three points is because of De Gea failure to clear the ball in time (what the hell was he thinking?). Also towards the end it got really messy first Everton’s late goal was disallowed, and then post the match Ancelotti was shown a red card for arguing with the officials.

4649  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Afghanistan: US and Taliban Sign Deal Trying To End 18 Year Old War on: March 01, 2020, 01:55:50 PM
Full report here: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/feb/29/us-taliban-sign-peace-agreement-afghanistan-war

"The US and the Taliban have signed a landmark peace agreement after nearly 20 years of war that could result in American troops leaving Afghanistan within 14 months.

The deal also paves the way for talks between Afghans to end one of the longest-running conflicts in the world."

Will this first step be a real step towards achieving peace after nearly two decades of war between the Taliban and the USA? Or is there some other sort of politics at play here?

There are already problems a day after signing the deal because they Taliban expected 5000 prisoners to be released but the Afghan government has declined saying it was not part of the deal so I wonder what happens next?

it is not possible to end a war with the taliban

Actually is possible. just happened. I think that means they won. Afghanistan for afghans, finally!

no its not, they will continue to backstab you one way or the other or they will try to backstab someone else, i think it will be china india and the afghan democracy, taliban aren't workers they are vampires. they will likely fuck up the afghan government, or tell the afghan government to fuck up india, or Europe.

regards

@JollyGood while this is an historic deal but I feel that it’ll not last for long because America’s government completely bypassed the Afghan government while negotiating with Taliban, and hence I’m not surprised to see Afghan government’s stand on releasing those 5000 prisoners. Secondly we can never know for sure if all Taliban people will adhere to this deal, as various agencies believe that they’ll be used by neighbouring countries to continue their proxy wars.

So it's been months but you're still working, right? I don't leave and Thailand and tend to use public transport, but I think it's good that you allow people to pay with Bitcoin. Could you share your experience with us? How many of your cars rides occur per day or month? Are your prices typical market prices in the area or are they higher? Has anyone used the crypto option yet? If paying in crypto worth the same as fiat, less than in fiat or more than in fiat?
It's just really interesting how crypto adoption works or doesn't work for local businesses.
And if you haven't done it yet, try sharing your service in Local Boards on this forum.

I decided to do a quick google search after seeing this thread to see if people were actually paying in bitcoins for their taxi rides in Thailand, and the end result is that they’re not paying in Bitcoins but they’re using fiat a lot to pay for their rides. Therefore I wish to know what kind of promotions are you’ll doing to market your services, and what happens if the transfer gets stuck due to low amounts of confirmations how will you settle the payments?.

I use other forums and social media to gain referrals. I have ~100 refs right now but they don't really click always or gamble  a lot. Most of them try it once and leave forever. Last week I made less than 1k sats from my refs which is pretty much nothing. A few hundred lottery tickets don't really help neither.

I can probably add another hundred refs If I can get focused but knowing that they are not reliable makes me think.

I got like 15 refs on an exchange and only 1 of them making me money and I don't know if the guy is using a bot or something. Because it went crazy lately. That account started to make me $2-3/day. (sometimes more)

Gaining refs is like buying lottery tickets. Most of them suck but once you find a good one you can make good money.  Cool

I agree, I did the same when I first started with this site, I got most of my refs from other forums back in the day but have since stopped trying to get refs as most like you said don't stay active and just click once or twice and then leave and never return. However I have had one ref return after not being active for like 1 year and is super active now which I'm happy with. Trying to get active refs are hit and miss but it just takes one active ref to make some nice passive income and even better if that ref is a gambler.

I too had used this strategy in the past but I got lazy and stopped promoting my referral link, however I know a guy who’s yet doing this and he offers 90% of the referral earnings back to his refferals, and you’ll will be surprised to know that he’s yet able to get new referrals and even the old ones are working for him. It’s also pertinent to note that I’m his old referral and till date whenever I click I get my weekly commission from him, so I would suggest you’ll to visit those forums and start promoting again because there’s potential to collect new referrals and earn from them.

FJ I know I've asked before and you guys haven't responded, but don't you think you should really be updating Majestic Seven rosters? It's brought up elsewhere too. Love the competition and what you guys are doing is awesome but it kinda feels a bit weird to see people still in the wrong team (Tosun in Palace since January for example). And Minamino not in Liverpool squad (hey who knows)... and Harry Wilson still there haha.

If you want, the community here would be glad to help out!

Thanks for notifying @, we're about to update the list, should be ready for the upcoming matchday.

@FortuneJack thanks for the update I’m looking forward to the updated squad lists too, also did anyone place a bet on Liverpool match last night as I lost my small bet I had placed on them thinking that they were invincible, but I guess I was wrong they’re not invincible anymore.

Btw...  Khabib vs Ferguson is on April 18.  FJ!  Any chance we could get some early promotions up in anticipation for that event?  It's a yuuuge event.

We will be definitely having some sort of promotion for that fight, stay tuned.  Cool
I don't get why people think Khabib vs Ferguson will be a huge event. I feel (at least personally) it would be just a exhibition level of fight where Khabib will definitely win. This is fighting and we have seen many favorites just get  destroyed as well so who knows maybe Khabib will lose but from where I am standing I will definitely wager in favor of Khabib to get that game unless some major injury gets reported before the fight.

I am even more enticed about the Khabib vs mcgregor potential rematch because that will not only be a great fight but there will be a lot more entertainment available as well and a lot of talking back and forth will happen before the fight.

@darewaller each one thinks differently and even if Khabib is the favourite to win it’ll yet be a good match to match, and we should thank @tokeweed because of whom now there will be some promotions as an incentive to wager on this match.

What do you think about Pogba? Here it seems a deal almost done to Juve with all the rumors happened.

We got a little rumor too this week for a potential deal for 60M € + Ramsey.

Oh I sooo hope he's going to Juve.  And then when you guys get Pep after next season, prepare to say bye bye Pogba.  Pep hates big egos.  Grin

...  Just a hunch of what's gonna happen.

@coinlocket$ yes there’re lots of rumours surfacing online which say that Pogba is leaving at the end of the season, and if he does leave then I’m personally expecting Manchester United to ask for $120 million dollars or more for his transfer. @tokeweed I feel that Pogba would love to play under Pep as he’s a serial winner and he can help Pogba realise his dream of winning the champions league hence I feel that they’ll adjust well with each other.

They are going for postponed Juve-Inter (best decision IMHO), this is the best decision for everyone if they will do so.

They are deciding right now, fans will be happy, Juventus will be happy (they will not lose 4m € from people at stadium).

Let's see what they decide.

The juventus vs Inter match has been postponed, and other postponed matches are to be announced soon it seems. @ampere

But will Lazio match go ahead ? because the postponed matches are for tomorrow ?

@coinlocket$ I’m glad to know that they have decided to postpone this game, as this game is very important in the title race and it would have been disastrous to watch them play in an empty stadium. @ampere there’s no update regarding the Lazio game but I feel that their game too shall be postponed because of the growing fears of Coronavirus.

I'm really surprised by how much ethereum has lost in the past days. A drop in price is to be expected but I didn't expect the sudden drop in price from almost 300 to almost 200.
When something happened related to the big bad news and that will bring the price to go to the bottom instantly. We have seen the price of ethereum got a big drop from 1k to the only 300.
This happens when something big affected crypto and that makes so many people wanna cashing out their money.
this crash caused by many reason, since 2017 till now on there are many bad news that suffer cryptocurrency market. almost all cryptocurrency price drop till 90% from highest price ever. something bad really happen now in market, and we need trigger that able make investors start buying again with huge amount. and now price cheap enough if we want accumulate our crypto amount, especially ethereum which is drop more than $70 only in few days.

@Crypto5060 Ethereum prices are tanking because they follow bitcoin prices, and we all know that bitcoin prices took a hit because of the Coronavirus issue. However I’m not worried as this fall is only temporary, so I would advise you not to indulge in panic sales and simply hold on to your crypto’s for the long term.

Today I have serious shock becasue as I was watching semi final between Djokovic and Monfils its going straight farward for Monfils as he won first set by 6 - 2 and in second he was leading by 3 - 2 but as I return home match was already ends but score was very different as in favour of Djokovic 2 - 6, 7 - 6 and 6 -1 its really shocking Monfils is good player but in last few matches he cannot handle easily.

@Indymoney I’m not at all surprised that Djokovic won, because he had beaten Monfils 16 times prior to this match and has not lost a single game against Monfils till date. Also if you knew Djokovic well then you would have known that he doesn’t give up till the end, and I’ll give some credit to Monfils too as he really gave it all but in the end he was unable to stop Djokovic from winning the match.

Srilanka scored 345 batting first, Fernando and Mendis scored more than 100. After such a big score on board not all teams have batsmen who can chase it. It was a completely one sided match from the beginning.
Sri Lanka dominated the series and there is one more match and i am not sure whether West Indies can bounce back to save the face or Sri Lanka will white wash the series. If i remember correctly this is the first time in a long time that Sri Lanka was able to put up a huge score like this and completely dominated the match and most of the members are still new to me and hence not confident on wagging a bet.

@pakhitheboss though the target was huge but West Indies batsman didn’t even try to chase it they surrendered the match right from the start, and that was disappointing to watch. @7788bitcoin yes there’s one more match left and I don’t expect West Indies to bounce back, especially after their recent performances therefore I feel that Sri Lanka will win the last match easily.

Whenever we have spoken about Coronavirus we all have discussed about people dying, or how it’s effecting business globally but suddenly it seems that Coronavirus can do what Democrats are failing to do i.e. stop Trump from winning the elections. As a Trump fan I was surprised to read the news but it seems to me that the media is taking advantage of Coronavirus, and is trying to manipulate people against voting for Trump. It’s also pertinent to note that Trump’s and his staffs response is not helping at this stage, as I strongly felt they could have released better statements. In my personal opinion this scenario is being hyped by the media a lot, and so do you’ll believe that Trump could loose if Coronavirus spreads across US?.

SEC fined Steven Seagal for advertising ICO. The actor did not disclose information about the funds received for the promotion of the project, which could mislead investors, the Commission explained.

Since the ICO, the price of the Bitcoiin2Gen token advertised by Segal has fallen by 99%.

do you think celebrities know that they advertise scam projects or they just don’t understand what they are doing? I think this is a big problem for the market

@JCviggen in my personal opinion I feel that he may not have known what he was promoting as his manager would have finalised this deal, and would have kept the basic details hidden from him which is pretty normal as celebrities don’t like to be bothered with all the basic details. In this particular case I feel investors are also guilty as they failed to do their due diligence, and i hope that next time no one will invest in a ICO just because a celebrity recommends to invest in it.
4660  Economy / Economics / Re: Dow Jones Price Drop & The Corona Virus? on: February 28, 2020, 09:48:11 AM
The virus itself will not cause a recession, its not lethal enough.  There is an effect but its not the cause of entire nations withdrawal.    What the problem might be is that the effect is enough to unbalance and release problems already existing in economies such as QE programs never unwound and neutralised.     The Federal Reserve rightly or wrongly has created a certain level of inflation to counter the possible debt problem and a spiral into deflation, when this small restriction to world trade comes along and production lines are slowed or stopped and altered from normal it could lower the desired benefits to loose monetary policy.
We have that underlying weakness already and possibly this virus disruption could cause the upset to knock over a few dominos in those already financially weak with excess debt not just materially susceptible to the infection itself.
Quote
Basically no one wants to go to China now.

China is a large country and I dont think this is going to alter things long term, of course they should tighten food hygiene and live stock conditions but the aversion is more of a disruption then a halt in trade.   Normally it should resume later and with backlogs to bring future success again but it might cause secondary effects to weak companies or trading situations, thats the greater fear I think and not yet fully realised probably.

@STT you’re correct as the virus has initiated a chain of events that’s going to effect the economies of all the countries either directly or indirectly, and the only thing we can do at this stage is pray that normalcy resumes quickly in China otherwise we all will witness long periods of recessions.

Another Massive Drop in The Dow Jones with Bitcoin under 9k USD and The CoronaVirus is still spreading... What's next?

@mrquackquack if the virus continues to spread at current rate then I’m expecting the markets to further tank, and I may consider buying few stocks if I can get them at a cheaper rate than their actual valuation. However many analysts are advising against buying stocks now, so do your own research before you buy your desired stocks.
