4641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [What IF] Part 5 on: November 11, 2019, 12:07:08 PM
Hello and what's up fellow users/gamblers!
I hope you had a great weekend!
Another week has come, so let's start all over again.

what if you suddenly see a fellow gambler that has been winning continuously (example Poker)  and it seems like he's unbeatable on that game, would you care to join him so you could also be winning? Or would you like to beat the guy on his game?

We certainly can't deny the fact that we gamblers can be easily influenced by these kind of scenarios.

No, I won't unless I am as skillful as him. I will assume he is doing well due to his good gambling skill/gift and I'd probably ask him to teach me (if it's teachable) or I will take my time to learn it somewhere else.
As regards "beating the other guy on his game", depend how skilful the guy is. I guess I will start with small bet with him to undertand his skills, strengths and weaknesses

4642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Agree To Publicize Your Journey From Being Chronic Gambler on: November 11, 2019, 09:40:03 AM
You are once a chronic gambler but with the help of a professional you are now totally cured, then a publisher offers you to publicize your journey from being a chronic gambler to a cured one, but of course, everything could be exposed like your habit experiences, your agony and even your personal life, will you agree to do this, of course the publisher will pay you for the story that you are going to provide.

Well, I would, for the sake of those going through thesame addiction problems but I will ask the publisher to guarantee that my identity does not get exposed or mishandled. I probably won't collect any money for this reason. otherwise the publisher will likely not handle my data carefully. He/she could even sell it.
4643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction at its Worst! on: November 11, 2019, 08:50:43 AM
I think gambling addiction should be treated like other forms of addictions, and those affected should get medical care. Also gambling websites as well as casinos should have a bold sign advising people to 'gamble responsibly', similar to what alcohol beverage companies do. Not just as a measure to absolve themselves from blame but to protect those that patronize their services.
Personally, I have never been addicted to gambling.

Nice one, especially the "I have never been addicted to gambling" comment.
People are unnecessarily complicating life with extreme lifestyle... moderation and self control is the key, but people don't consider.
I don't see anything wrong in creating a great game and charging people to play. It all boils down on responsibility. The gambling owners, as well as the gamblers have to be responsible for their own sakes. We have to be our brothers keeper.
4644  Economy / Economics / Re: ‘Bullish for Bitcoin’ — China Scraps Plans to Ban Cryptocurrency Mining on: November 10, 2019, 03:19:39 PM
Will this increase the price of Bitcoin or improve its decentralization? I think I prefer the latter, but I hope this doesn't make mining unprofitable in other part of the world due to cheap energy and things like that. This is the mining  decentralization
4645  Economy / Economics / Re: Distribution of coins across holders? on: November 10, 2019, 10:40:34 AM
Is there a website where I can view the wealth distribution of BTC and different altcoins?

I know such data are only estimates (address != holder, exchange wallets, etc.), but would still like to get a feeling of how different coins are distributed among its holders.

Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency addresses are not like typical bank accounts numbers . An individual could have multiple addresses with no easy way of linking them to him/her. Banks accounts in most countries are link to unique identities.
I think there are services that show what exchange/platform owns what, but I doubt they are effective in general. Besides lots of cryptocurrency are held on exchanges. It would be difficult to get the information unless you get them  from most exchanges.

4646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Saving for a House! on: November 10, 2019, 09:57:14 AM
Stablecoin is one of the best options in my opinion but I wouldn't encourage you to keep everything in one stablecoin or even fiat.
You could spilt the funds into two or three, have two parts in two stablecoin coins (decentralized and centralized stablecoins) and the remaining part in your bank account. Having all your funds in a basket is quite risky especially in your kind of situation.
4647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tether Response to Flawed Paper by Griffin and Shams on: November 10, 2019, 08:50:42 AM
If the growth was due to manipulations, we should be experiencing an increase/decrease in price that directly proportional to tether issuance. Have the accusers able to provide any solid proof that supports this particular allegation?
Well, I believe a entity can easily manipulate price but stuff like this has to be proven and not just based on opinions
4648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Australian Home Affair Minister Warns Terrorist Financiers Exploiting Crypto on: November 08, 2019, 05:01:10 PM
I wonder what politicians would do if "terrorists" begin to finance their activities with foods and water. I guess they will consider controlling our foods, ban farmers from producing their own foods and monopolize food production?

If the understand what money really is, they will realize that total control is impossible.

Have you guys considered that we have small transparent domes covering every children of GOD? It is not just our planet.
I have been researching this to see if it has been discussed before but I have found very little information on it.
I suspect this is why people build dome shaped homes. They are probably trying to replicate the spiritual domes with physical ones to feel secure lol

I read in the past that the physical domes are built to represent the dome covering our planet... but what if they are meant to represent the smaller domes?

It's domes all the way down.

I totally agree. This is exactly what it looks like:

It can't be touched though. but it's real.

4652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralized Application (Dapp) on: November 06, 2019, 02:29:01 PM
I'm curious about storing our assets online, mostly online wallets. Do you think there's possibility the developer collect our address, especially our private key?

I usually store my coins on a paper wallet and we all know storing in a cold wallet is the safer way to secure all assets.
Do you think it's secure to import our address to an app? Is there any identification of a real decentralized application to trust our keys.

It's possible as long as it is a centralized wallet. And it's generally advised not to use online wallets especially for storing large amount..
If you must use online wallet use the established ones but still avoid storing large amounts on them.

Be careful where you store your private keys though. It is much safer to write them down on papers or something than storing them on your computer or phone.

Does anybody want government controlling the comb in your pocket? How about the shoes you wear. How about your clothes everyday? How about the car  color your car is? How about a million other free choices you make. If you like that kind of control, join the military. Or move to Communist China.

Why do you want government to control your marijuana by legalizing it? Get them out of your ability to make free choices. Get them to repeal all laws against marijuana, without making any to legalize it. Be free to use it any way you want... even free to grow it if you want.

Legalizing isn't freedom.

Cool

People who don't know what is right or wrong must be under government rules.

Everybody knows what is right or what is wrong, in their hearts. If government makes any rules that don't conform to what is written in the hearts of people, government is wrong.

Cool

I doubt everyone knows what is right or wrong.

By the way, do you think it's OK for kids or teenagers to smoke weed?

4655  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Comparing the biggest and most expensive campaigns: Chipmixer - Cryptotalk/Yobit on: November 05, 2019, 05:40:45 AM
The only difference I see in Cryptotalk campaign if compare with other campaigns is that there is no participant selection process beforehand. Direct enrollments are the only reason for such massive spams imo and that's the reason Yahoo got in to cut it down, he probably kicked out 300+ so far (didn't count myself). When Yobit hired Yahoo I was a little bit shocked, they got the lesson from the ban and they want to follow the rule, that is a good thing. I was a bit more shocked when they cut the post limit to half, that's another good thing. The thing is they are changing, slowly but they are changing.

If they continue their Cryptotalk campaign then they may change a lot of things in the future and maybe Yahoo is suggesting to them the right things. They are spending a good amount per week and if they utilize it the right way then the campaign will be another good one. It is not necessary to pay the same as Chipmixer, it could be half. And most importantly I prefer a selection process.

If Yobit's intention is to beat Bitcointalk down by building an alternative (Cryptotalk) then they are 100% wrong, even a million BTC budget can't help out. It's because Bitcointalk is a place where there is Freedom of Speech, we can say anything about BTCT, we can say anything about any project, we can even say anything to Thermos. But if anyone writes against Yobit in Cryptotalk it will definitely get deleted, so there is no Freedom of Speech. The only way Cryptotalk can survive is by paying 1k sats per post to all its members forever, the day they stop paying the forum will be dead.

Most probably Yobit created that forum for their own promotional thingy so that they can promote anything freely. The reason is they don't have any fans here and they can't promote anything here.

Now wondering if Yobit kicks me out or not from the campaign for this fu**ing freedom of speech thingy. Did I write anything wrong?

I think the word "spam" should be well defined. That will really help.

A member of this forum sent me message to join the cryptotalk campaign while I was in another campaign. I was surprised to be  banned too my friend.
Well, I blamed myself for not ignoring the message.

Which is more evolved:
— Termite or monkey?
—  Gorilla or Bee?
—  Bird or horse?
4657  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Evolution is a hoax on: November 04, 2019, 08:13:44 AM
what we call evidence for evolution can easily fit like-begets like, simple change, and adaptation.

Evolution is a hoax.

Cool

If "evolution" means simple change, or like begets like, or adaptation, then there is evolution all over the place.

Great, so we're agreed. That's what evolution is: like begets like, and adaptation.

Your children inherit 50% of your DNA and 50% of the other parent's DNA. Your children are like you.
Some people can naturally run faster than other people. Some wildebeest can naturally run faster than other wildebeest. If you have a herd of wildebeest with a lion or whatever chasing them, the lion catches the slower wildebeest. The faster ones survive and have children. The children inherit their parents DNA, and so are also faster than average. Over generations, the average speed increases. The species as a whole has adapted faster legs to survive lion attacks. No intelligent hand involved in the design, it just happens through natural selection.

Here's a catchy song about it.

What do you say about the strongest beast sacrificing his life for the fleeing beasts?

I believe your country was built by the sacrifices of Patriots. Do you think the selflessness of the beast or patriot is stupidity? Do you think they are inferiors?

In my country this plant is highly prohibited but according to research the weed plant contains synthetic substances that may help treat a range of sickness and side effects, numerous individuals contend that it ought to be lawful for medical  purposes. Indeed, a developing number of states have legalized  weed for therapeutic use.

What's your take on Marijuana?
Accept or Fuck?

No, in my opinion. Not advisable for those who live in sin... I was specifically told this.

Marijuana overdose is dangerous for sinners. "They" most  likely are aware of this. "They" hope you get overdose.
Evil spirits will likely influence the smokers in their filth and overdose.

If you think it is truely medicinal then take in moderation. Don't smoke it.
Nothing CREATED by GOD is really bad if taken in righteousness and faith.

Assuming marijuana was created by HIM and not genetically engineered plant
