Movements have only been small compared to the upheavals we've had so far this year. I would say we need a much stronger signal before we can decide that the market is in an upwards trend. At the moment it looks like we're just treading water and trying to stay afloat. Most pressure recently has been downwards.

Everything in life has past, present and future. Some of those who invested into some coins while their prices were higher, should try as much as possible not to dwell much on it, because if we continue to bother ourselves about the past loss, we will not be able to see the opportunities ahead. The crypto space is full of opportunities, learn to find those alternative opportunities of earning tokens and explore. That which you think might be a loss at this time, can give you huge profit later on in future.
It's true that getting caught up in mistakes of the past will prevent you from taking new opportunities as they arise. However, we shouldn't forget our mistakes, we should instead use them as learning opportunities. Understand what led to the mistake, and try to prevent it happening in future. Did you buy a coin just because it was hyped? Did you mis-time a peak or a dip? Did you buy without researching the project? Etc. Learning from mistakes is how we improve our decision-making. Myself, I've made plenty of mistakes. However I do now make fewer than I did in the past.

halving is in august 2019, here is the explanation what that means: https://cryptomining-blog.com/tag/litecoin-halving/i checked the price in 2015 a month before halving, it went x7, and it stablize x2 before halving date. so lets say it will be 110 x 5 not x7= 550 usd, then it will stablize at 220. This is estimated price. I personally think it will hit 680 on july 15. your thoughts? I'm not sure. Future developments tend to be priced in well in advance of them actually happening - the old adage of 'buy the rumour, sell the news'. It could be a good development, but people who trade will be aware of the history, and I don't think that sort of spike will recur. Who knows though, I may be completely wrong - all predictions in crypto are guesswork, we just try to learn and improve the accuracy of our guesses.

I am hoping for the best of the cryptocurrency market towards the end of the year and hopefully in the whole of 2019. I am expecting a great recovery if not a bull run and everything should be based on real market forces and not so much on speculations. However, we know that this is the market where anything can happen and things can be beyond our own control and influence. I am now thinking that if cryptocurrency will still be bad in 2019 I would reduce my involvement to as much as 75% and use my energy and time to something else...this is my way of diversifying and putting my security on my finances. This is just like saying hoping for the best but preparing for the worst..
What do you think?
It is always sensible to diversify. Crypto does seem to be struggling to regain any upwards price momentum at the moment, and I think everyone is still cautious given the huge drop we had at the start of the year. Having said that, ATHs are so far away from current prices that there is significant room for growth. I do expect crypto price to increase in the long term, but short and medium term who can say?

The Idiots that have manipulated the price have scared many people and people are leaving this CIRCUS: My Alts are not recovering when BTC goes up and go down when BTC goes down. If this pattern continues I will sell and get out!
Don't panic. It's an unregulated market, and a lot of volumes are thin. Price volatility is a natural consequence. Prices will go up again, and drop again, and go up again. If you don't like trading, then just hold and forget about current prices, as they will recover (for good alts at least).

That price doesn't seem realistic anymore, and hasn't since the heady days of early January. Personally I would be happy with $1k by year end. I do think that ETH has a great future though, and will hit $15k at some point - just not this year.

Hey guys bitcoin just hit $8000 do you think it will still go down to $600 or it will continue to rise?. Please what's your take on this?
Well, a lot of us were expecting a rise, but it went down towards $6k. What next? This is difficult to determine. I for one thought that the whole crypto cap wouldn't drop much below $250b, but it went straight past and dropped just below $200b. Personally I still think that over the next few months we should see some solid gains... but really, who knows? The only thing I feel confident about predicting is that crypto as a whole will have a huge future in the years to come.

The current mainstream currencies all rose, with ETC leading the gains, an increase of 13.03%, and a temporary report of $12.11. In addition, BTC rose 2.93%, temporarily reported 6206.3 US dollars; BCH rose 5.63%, temporarily reported 519.08 US dollars; ETH rose 8.4%, temporarily reported 281.52 US dollars; EOS rose 9.35%, temporarily reported 4.75 US dollars; XRP rose 11.67%, temporarily reported 0.287 US dollars .
Often following a fall, those that fell hardest also rise back the fastest, which I suspect is the case here. I do think that both ETH and XRP are great projects, but I'm not sure that the price increase today is due to those projects, I think it's just a full market rebound.

WIll ETH pass BTC in 2019 ?
I do think it is quite likely to pass BTC in market cap at some point, although this is far from certain. But I don't think it has much chance of passing BTC in individual coin price.

Hy guys. Most of the time I use to trade with altcoins and I use to sell altcoins when they are above ICO price and giving some profit. I do not hold atlcoins for long time. What if you have some altcoins, what will be your strategy to use that coins? Is there any specific best time for every altcoin and when it is going well and we should sell ??
For a specific coin, the best thing to do is try to keep on top of all the news and rumours about it. If there is a good rumour, this often starts a price increase... but when it is officially confirmed and becomes good news rather than just a rumour, that is often the time to sell. This is an old and well-known strategy, and is used a lot outside of crypto as well - but it can be very useful.

Which coins will make me poor if I invest in them? Looking for serious coins within the top 100.
The way it's going at the moment, put all of your money on any coin, and watch it drop dramatically. But if you want one coin that has a great project but a plummeting price, then Waltonchain might be a good bet

Hello !
Should I sell my altcoins , and switch to usdt , and buy when it will be lower ? Thanks in advance
The lower the market drops, the more of a gamble it becomes. If you think we're nearing the bottom, then don't switch to Tether - but if you think we'll continue to fall, then do it. Do be aware though that even Tether is not 100% safe, there has been plenty of speculation about whether it is really backed up by the USD equivalent.

I have considered and now I have bought a lot of ethereum for me to hold in the long run. now it is very suitable as my investment. and for now it is true that ethereum is experiencing a price decline
It's reflected across all of crypto. It's undeniable that the good projects, ETH among them, are looking like bargains now compared with previous prices. But the fact is that the market is still falling... everything is becoming even more of a gamble.

Hi
you think Eth will back to 500$ ?
Not the way it's going at the moment. I had a lot of faith that the whole market wouldn't dip much below $250 billion - but this assessment now looks more like hope than logic. I do still believe there are very solid underlying reasons as to why crypto, and smart contracts in particular, will be huge in future - but maybe now is not the time. We can trade to try to build a position, or buckle in and try to ride it out, or just sell up and be gone. For me it's probably a bit of trading but mostly holding.

I do think that Waltonchain is a very strong project with a very strong real-world use case. I do hold some, and I'd expect the price to be much higher than it is. However at the moment I'm watching it fall dramatically... I would say it's a good coin to buy, but it's obviously a risk as the price is falling so much.

The way it's going at the moment, I think I'd change my previous advice and say don't invest in any crypto at all. I thought the previous resistance point wouldn't be broken, but we've shot straight past it, and prices are still falling.

Always complaining about the price of a token for example after the ICO Why not to create a community behind the scene of almost every holder in it and then set one price after the ICO?
I don't think that's either possible or desirable. The key I think is to take great care over choosing an ICO. The sad fact is that most of them drop after hitting the markets. But if you can find a really great project, and it sells out quickly at ICO, then there is a good chance that demand will outstrip supply - which in turn should lead to natural price increases once it hits the markets. Natural is I think far better than forced, and much more sustainable in the longer term.

I think crypto currency market will never survive due to several reasons. I will not go into technical depth, you all knows what I am saying, so its better to get out from this before too late. 1- Crypto not a decentralised its truely Centralised by big whales and manipulated, controlling prices according to theirs mutual benefits.
I disagree. I'm extremely confident that crypto is the future, and will pervade everyday life in the coming years. The simple reason is that in many cases it is so much cheaper, faster and more efficient than existing processes. In an open market, companies are always trying to make efficiency savings, reducing needless costs in order to increase profit. Moving to crypto is a big change, but it seems inevitable to happen. And once big companies jump in, the general population will follow, Look at the top few coins as examples. Ethereum can automate so many time- and labour-intensive manual processes - it's not just an ICO platform, it's so much more than that. And then Ripple as well - XRP is proven to produce huge savings in the banking industry, and is so much faster than existing solutions. And so on and so on as we move down the list. Yes, there are plenty of pointless projects jumping on the crypto bandwagon, but there is a lot of really innovative stuff there as well. So don't give up - it's not just blind faith that sustains us here. We are all aware of the potential of crypto.

As we can see, the market is down and alts are very low due to market and btc conditions. Maybe we'll see the prices go down more within the days to come and it seems that it's the best chance we can get to invest more and to gain more profit. I believe that this dip will help us earn a lot when the right time comes.
I do think it's a good time to buy right now. The past few big dips have stopped around this point, so there is precedent for price rises coming soon. It is always a good idea to buy at the bottom and sell at the top, and then repeat - however it is easier said than done.

I'm certain that smart contracts are the future, and will become a part of everyday life as the march of automation continues. ETH is certainly the top smart contract platform at the moment, and has a big first-mover advantage. Yes, I think ETH is the future.
