^  Yup.  For what they have up front, they look pretty clueless.

I really suck at the moment with my predictions. It was made double as bad with Man Utd overtaking LFC at the top of the PL. Oh well we’ll just have to beat them at Anfield on Sunday. I’m tempted to go for Man Utd to win in my predictions as a reverse indicator based on me being crap in the prediction pool this season. Usually what i predict the opposite happens so hocus pocus, LFC 0-2 Man Utd Wink

With all the hype and the high expectations, I think these two clubs could negate each other and end up in a scoreless draw.  And it’s also very possible that VAR could ruin this game for either club.

^  How many hands to go?  Chasing 12 buyins against Doug HU is a very tall order.  DNegs would need more than just play good.  He’ll need an absolute god mode heater.

Anyway..  I think I’m gonna owe somebody 10 bucks in a couple of weeks or so.  Lolol.
4663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 13, 2021, 07:33:53 PM
Good weekend of sport with a few football rivalries, and finally some UFC! I got so used to the weekly fights of the UFC, I didn't realize how much I would miss it in the Christmas break. Some good fights this week too, and the most beautiful thing is its at a suitable time instead of having to stay up to like 5am. My predictions are as follows:

Joselyne Edwards (points)
Phil Hawes (Points)
Ramazan Emeev (TKO)
Mike Grundy
Austin Lingo
Sarah Moras (Submission)
Joaquin Buckley (TKO)
Max Holloway (points)

What are your thoughts about these predictions? As for the other fights, (seems a pretty large card) I'm still undecided, and need to rewatch some of their past fights.

^  Love the picks.  My leans or mostly the same.  But I’m back and forth on Holloway.  He could be more in decline than most think imho.  I blame his hot fiancee.  Cheesy  He’s prolly losing his edge cos he’s in love and happy.  Lol.

Back and forth with Hawes too.  Hawes’ chance to win is via early KO/TKO but dunno...  Imavov has never been KO’d so far.  Once it goes pass the first it could go Imavov’s way.
4664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's F'n happening ----- Polk VS. Negreanu HUNL Grudge Match on: January 12, 2021, 08:01:48 PM
^  So how’s my guy DNegs doing?  Lol.  I don’t think he’ll catch up vs Doug without doubling up the stakes and getting a heater imo.  Doug is just too skilled in online HUNL.

Anyway, I hope Pokergo brings them back again and have the last 500 hands played live with hole cards cameras.

^  By twice I meant the sell downs that started 2013 and 2017’s trends down.  Now I’m not saying the bull market is over.  But just by the way it looked as the huge sell down was happening a couple days ago, I had that impression.  But the long bottom wicks shows that there’s lots of buying at the daily lows.  So it’s prolly safe for some dip buying.
4666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 12, 2021, 07:37:10 PM
I think Calvin Kattar needs to rely on his striking but Max Holloway I think he will not struggle against Calvin Kattar, I think that Kattar will not have the same effect on Holloway as Poirier, that is why I think that Max Holloway can have a huge chance in beating Kattar, That is why I am going with Holloway.
Calvin Kattar is a striker and so does Max Holloway and their game plan is not secret either, the interesting aspect of the fight is that as a fan i would like to see who will impose their will in the fight with their striking and presence of mind. The problem i see with Max Holloway is that he had some really tough fights and lost and he was eating a lot of shots in all of those fights and that could hamper his confidence.

I will be watching this fight as a fan rather than placing a bet in the above card.

Yup and Kattar is pretty comfortable when fighting from the outside.  He’s not the type of fighter who needs to crash against his opponents to get a couple of punches in.  But still..  Holloway is a former champ who fought the best guys at FW and he is no way on a decline yet.

For what the lines are, I lean Holloway.  But I have a funny feeling in my gut Kattar could win it somehow.  Dunno...
4667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: January 12, 2021, 07:17:21 PM
The high probability is that Manchester United will be winning, but if you look at the past home games of Burnley they have scored in the past four matches and hence both teams to score is a good betting option and to support that Manchester United has conceded a goal in their past few away games as well.

My predictions for tomorrow

  • Manchester United to win and both teams to score
  • Wolverhampton vs Everton under 3.5 goals
  • Sheffield United vs Newcastle under 2.5 goals

True that. Man Utd would be focused on getting all 3 points tomorrow as it would enable them to go on top of the PL table with at least 3 points above title rivals, Liverpool. That and also considering the fact that Burnley hasn't been that great this term makes it and easy one for Man Utd to close out. Although, I'm a little bit skeptical about the BTTS market so instead, I would go with over 1.5 total goals in the match.

For Wolves vs Everton game, Another cool option would be BTTS. Under 3.5 goals is a good option too.

And United’s away form has been really phenomenal this season.  All wins and just one draw vs Leicester.  I really want to see them win vs Burnley and be on the top of the league when they face Liverpool.  Smiley  It’s gonna be interesting to say the least.
4668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 12, 2021, 07:11:35 PM
^  Newcastle is still holding on tho.  Sheffield sucks at finishing this year.  I mean it’s a complete 180 from what they were last season.  This year they just look like a Championship club struggling at the EPL.

I’ve seen this twice before...
I lost count lol
Well when you are with crypto to be specific in bitcoin for long time then you should have seen it all. The major events that happened in 2017 when Bitcoin price reached a new ATH of $19k+ and now it's happening again but this time we crossed $41k. No one knows if this is the highest we gone for this run or still we have a lot to see.

However one thing is for sure, if you hold your bitcoin then you are never going to miss a bull run. We all expect bitcoin to reach $100k or $1m but if you sell out at $30k then do you deserve $1M?

I sold some of my coin few days ago but that was only a small portion that I can afford to lose.

I meant the two big ones that ended the trend going up after 2013 and 2017.  I could be wrong.  I mean sure this run could go up to a mil for all we know but just saying...  If some of you guys are spooked, just relax.  Wait for that bounce to come if you really intend to sell.
4671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When Alt Season Thread on: January 11, 2021, 04:51:50 PM
Not sure about you guys but I think that’s about it with this nice little alt run, if you could even call it that.  There was no definitive alt szn this time around imo.  It was all about BTC.  Let’s hope the next one is better.
4672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: January 11, 2021, 04:46:29 PM
We are going to see a match between Burnley and Manchester Utd on Tuesday. Manchester Utd really attract the attention of people by their awesome performance on away matches (They won 6 out of 7 matches and got no loss). Burnley can be a really annoying team for big clubs. But I think Manchester Utd will win this match.

I think Burnley stand no chance tomorrow.I have already said this but I am going to repeat it,the number of red L indicating losing games for Burnley during this season its too damn high and I think this is not going to change in the game against Manchester United.Manchester United is focused only on the Premier League during this season which is their main objective and most probably they will win against Burnley.

Man Utd are in their best form for a few years now. I don’t see Burnley getting anything from this game. Man Utd only need 1 point to go top & they’re not going to waste the opportunity to go past Liverpool into 1st.

Yup and they’ll want to be going in that derby in a position of strength.  I know it’s just a point but still...  Momentum matters.

And wow..  If United wins the league our comes out second, unsung hero is def Mike Phelan.  He’s the brains behind the operation.
4673  Economy / Speculation / Don’t Panic on: January 11, 2021, 04:39:29 PM
I’ve seen this twice before...  If you’re really thinking of selling, wait for a couple of days when it’s bouncing back.  It could bounce back to 36k - 38k and give you a chance to sell at a better price.  If it doesn’t...  We’re f*cked anyway.  Lawl.

4674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When Alt Season Thread on: January 09, 2021, 08:16:02 PM
^  It’s all about if it’s alt season or not and not making more profit in an alt per individual basis.  Check the site out and you’ll get it.  And I mean you’ve been here for almost as long as me so you prolly already know this.  But yeah I get it..  There are some alts you could profit more even if it’s BTC season.
4675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 07, 2021, 07:51:48 PM
If you’re a Liverpool fan.  Grin  As a neutral I’d like to see them win vs Burnley just to see things get more interesting.  Football has been a bit boring this season.

I'm not a Liverpool fan (though I would support them over United) but even them losing will still make things interesting. Personally I'd prefer a different team to win other than the usual suspects. The Liverpool/Manchester game on the 17th will be very interesting. Hard to predict what will happen. Liverpool should win at home but with their recent form it should be pretty open. Or United will take a tumble. A draw us looking the most tempting to me right now but obviously will have to wait for both teams next results.

And if there was a stadium full of fans for the derby and VAR pulls off millimeter offsides shenanigans again, removing goals a minute later...  There’d be a riot.

Have all fans been banned again? The UK has gone into another full lockdown so I doubt they will be letting fans in. I don't think they should have allowed them in the first place unless all clubs could have had them anyway and certain parts going into different tiers was a silly idea.

I was just trying to make a point how dumb VAR is turning out to be.  The match on the 17th is yuuuge..  Imagine a stadium full of fans, it’s nil - nil at the 90th, Salah makes a goal!  ...  Then VAR, offside by half a millimeter.  Ref takes out the goal, it’s back to nil - nil and United makes a goal at stoppage time and wins the game.

Riot.

^^Starting? I mean ethereum went up about 10 times in the past 1 year, what do you really want from an alt season? I get that some people want alt season and I like that too, but how do you consider 10x increase NOT alt season? All crypto currencies went up in the past 1 year, I love the return on investment I had so far and if it stops and drops right now, I would consider this last 1 year as the greatest year I had in all of crypto and I have been around longer than most people.

I would love to suggest you to take a look at any coin you want on coinmarketcap, open it up, check 1 year ago price and today's price and see what the situation is like, more often than not, except for a few rare ones, all coins have done AT LEAST 5x return this year. This is why I believe alt season has already started, and it is probably going to end soon, you reached the end, not the start.

Check out qwizzie’s posts itt.  Alt season starts when altcoins outperform BTC at the market.  We are currently seeing a BTC dominated market when holding BTC is much better than holding alts cos you gain more buying power.  The reverse is true during alt season cos your alts could gain you more value in BTC.

^  Good to check and look at from time to time...  Thanks qwizzie.

^  Yup exactly.  But then again if it wasn’t such a weird year, would we be seeing BTC move up so fast this way?  And the weirdness kinda started a tad over 4 years ago when Trump won.  Cheesy  I was like holy f*ck, I wonder how it’s all gonna pan out...  Now we know.
4678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 07, 2021, 07:12:44 PM
Come on tokeweed, make a risky bet Cheesy You are the rich one here! Place few bucks on Kattar as he might disappoint Holloways fan.

If Adesanya moves up to a new division, will he have a champ fight against Blachowicz instantly? Light heavyweight division looks so unstable. Cant point anyone that could make 1-2 title defense. Adesanya is bored in Middleweight right now. Cant see any real threat for him. Adesanya wont move down welterweight as Usman is his friend.

Lol.  Nope.  I’m no rich one.  Pretty sure the people around here who has lots of coins to gamble with and throw around are the Chipmixer boys.

Yugin, notblox..  A couple of bouts you’d prolly watch out for are Hawes vs Imavov and Buckley vs Di Chirico.  Hawes is a beeeast.  And you guys already know Buckley who recently got viral.

According to The Guardian, Real Madrid and Liverpool are in a race to sign Bayern Munich's centre-back David Alaba who has 6 months left on his contract. I think Liverpool need a defender more than Real Madrid. Ramos is injured at Real Madrid now but there are alternatives for him at least. But at Liverpool, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk are injured and they have not any good alternatives for them. For example on their last match, Henderson and Fabinho played as defenders which is not their natural position. Alaba could be really helpful in this situation.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/jan/05/real-madrid-lead-race-to-sign-david-alaba-but-liverpool-interested-too

They are both rumored to offer a deal for the summer - so after his Bayern contract expires. Liverpool will by then have both Van Dijk and Gomez fit and ready to play.

I still understand the interest in Alaba, he can become their first CB option alongside Van Dijk, can play at LB too (although he does not want to anymore and we bought Tsimikas) and can also cover in midfield since it's more likely that Wijnaldum will leave.

He'd primarily be a CB but is a versatile player in his prime years that would be a great addition to Liverpool's squad.

Alaba as CB?  As in David Alaba...?  I don’t think he’s strong enough to play that role in the EPL.  Dunno...

But yeah, LFC should be looking for a new CB to compete with VVD for the role and not just to compete for it.  With VVD, it might the beginning of a string of injuries.  He could not be as durable as we think.
