socialist gobldegook

fuck man

that makes my head hurt...fuck all that

edit/

To be blunt, my finances are a horror story. I truly am REKT. My cryptocurrency portfolio has never been large. We are talking less than 1 BTC worth ATM.
Also, everyone knows the saying that those who can't,  teach. Definitely applies to me when it comes to retirement. I have jack shit saved up for retirement and I am 50.
I basically live paycheck to paycheck and the balances on my credit cards increase monthly. I have been working the same job for 15 years and I am probably way overqualified for the position. I hate to admit it, but I am truly an unmotivated loser. What has been nice, starting in November of 2017, is that I did get to cash out on my cryptocurrency profits to keep my head above water. Unfortunately, that well is going to dry up rather quickly. Especially if the BTC market keeps going with the current downtrend. Sometimes I'm just tempted to liquidate all my meager cryptocurrency holdings right now. However, a part of me wants to hold on for as long as possible because quite frankly, it gives me a little ray of hope that maybe things will turn around, and I can delay the looming bankruptcy filing indefinitely.
I will probably regret this posting, since I have bared all to practical strangers. Oh well, at least it was a little therapeutic to have my own pity party.

oh man...dude

feeling it, I am similar age, seemed like we had it going on for a minute there, now its back to attics and crawlspaces, and the alcohol doesn't dull the pain like it used to.

Cant seriously see any business complaining about too much sales? fishy shit

no, it is a real thing, the miners have been abusing subsidies...and getting aggressive with utility crews.

Chelan county has had it up to here and is probably going to tax the living shit out of them.

Well, the real problem is that they are refusing to set the price at the point where the supply curve and the demand curve intersect.

Oh - and the whole municipal monopoly thing.

Not arguing with that.

The region had artificially low power rates in an effort to entice industry to locate there.  The miners moved in all wild west style and now the jurisdictions are realizing that crypto mining doesn't employ anyone.  The miners didn't make any friends with their confrontational antics and now the deal is going to be altered bringing power costs more in line with reality, either through rate increases or special taxation.

As far as the public sector monopoly, normally I would share your disdain but this one becomes sticky for me because I don't think I can get behind corporations owning rivers.

Okey so whats next???

Were gonne drop to €3k???

thinking BTC is just testing the doug polk 10K bet

I haven't seen anything from DPolk, recently, but I would imagine that he must be getting a bit nervous..... Tone Vays did have the better side of the bet in terms of being able to use the bet as leverage.. but it did seem that DPolk did make what seemed to be a reasonably decent bet in which odds seemed to be working pretty good for him.. and not so much now..

I seriously doubt Doug is the least bit nervous.  He is a pro, he knows his odds and is resigned to the outcome the fates deliver.

Also, he isn't exactly going hungry if he loses.

edit/ I see capslock beat me to it

Yeah.. cAPSLOCK beat you to it, and you also failed to acknowledge that I responded to him too, and I said that I was making a point about changes in the market in the last two weeks that makes the odds for going sub $6k to be greater than they were two weeks ago...

seems peep want to read too much into what I am saying and kind of whit knighting Dpolk... Hey, maybe Dpolk might say something himself about what he thinks about the changed odds and his feelings about such changed odds, if he is not a bot, too?

dougbot...I had not considered that...hmmmmmmmmm

They do have too much power in their dev team who operates like a company and it will bite them but it could possibly make it easy for governments acceptance.

But... what if technology can't fundamentally support that "too much power" stuff ?

That's what we're starting to see with mETH, and the mETH-heads are too busy getting high on gas to see the forest through the trees.

The forest be burning, yo.

hush Bob, one last ETH pump to 0.1 dammit

The SEC has the power to assert it's jurisdiction over any global exchange or ICO that accepts US investors.

US slaves (aka US citizens) have to accept US gov jurisdiction over their money but I have the power to reject SEC self-proclaimed power. Actually, any country that has nukes to defend itself has such power.

wow, we have Kim right here in our humble little thread
