4661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why did we experience an overshoot in the price of Bitcoins ? on: August 03, 2020, 11:11:09 AM
I don't think that we overshoot though, that's how the market reacts, maybe some TA says that we should get to $11,500 and see some resistance, it didn't happen, but doesn't mean that we have limits to this price increase.

- Gold prices is incredibly high

Huh? Bitcoin already surpasses the price of gold many times already.

And I highly doubt that the second round of stimulus package will be invested on bitcoin. People needed cash as this point to buy food that will make them survived in this pandemic, this is just pure speculation.

I don't think that we need to complicated things here, it's just the basic supply and demand that pushes the price to $11,800.
4662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / The total Ethereum fees have been surpassing Bitcoin's fees for a month and 1/2 on: August 03, 2020, 10:19:55 AM
The total Ethereum fees have been surpassing Bitcoin's fees for a month and a half now

According to this tweet:

https://twitter.com/lawmaster/status/1289583909018259457

And I think it is very reflective on how the price of ETH also moves around that time frame, as bitcoin reaches a new high this year and so is ETH as well surpassing $400 since 2018 if I'm not mistaken.

A good indication that we are very bullish right now and this is really looking good fro crypto markets in general.
4663  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Hits USD 12K, Crashes By USD 800 In Minutes!! on: August 02, 2020, 02:19:05 PM
I do hope that it won't cause a panic specially for those beginner investors who buy at the $10k range. Because if they did they we might see some more decline in the next coming days. One thing though is that we will start a new week, depending on where you are. And usually we may see some gains again. On the other hand, this is a healthy pullback.

But I don't see the price going below $10k, not unless we have another FUD or something that will create some negativity. I think sentiments now are mostly bullish. And the next time that we will recover, we might see around $12k-$14k at least, so just continue to hold.
4664  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Thailand issues licenses for 13 digital currency service providers on: August 02, 2020, 12:05:36 PM
Good job for the Thailand government and its royalty. Asian countries are starting to recognize that there's an actual market for cryptocurrencies and if they will keep issuing licenses to those interested companies who wants to operate in their countries.

I agree, I think Thailand and the Philippines amongst SEA countries are more friendly to cryptos. I still remember someone said that it is going to be a race between the two. And this is a win-win situation for those crypto enthusiast in that country. I'm not going to be surprised that in the next couple of years these two are going to be on top as far as bitcoin trading and adoption.

They should give it a chance as long as they will submit and comply to their regulatory requirements. Having a lot of applications and grants from these digital asset exchanges means that there is a big market circulating in Thailand for cryptocurrencies.

Yes, at least the government are very lenient and welcoming to digital assets or crypto, as opponent to some of their neighbors. Regulations are good so that crypto are going to survived in the long run. It's should be a give and take relations, so that everyone will be in a win-win situations.
4665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: top 6 cryptocurrency , Invest in 2020 on: August 02, 2020, 09:45:22 AM
Like the rest of you guys, what the hell is Titan? Haven't heard of this shitcoins.

And Tether? it is being used to leverage your investment, but it is not an investment per se. I would say that I would agree with the rest of list, maybe Litecoin is questionable though.

I think bitcoin should be on top of your lists obviously, and then ETH and XRP and if ever Titan went on a dramatic increase, it's just not like, pump and dump, so sorry to burst the bubble for your.
4666  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Golda.store Plagiarized Whitepaper on: August 02, 2020, 05:11:44 AM
Nice catch, it looks like they just wanted to ride on the popularity of Digital Gold and just put some little spin on it, "GOLDA", what the hell is that name, Lol.

@Insanerman - we both missed the boat, that project is really doing good, their campaign is still running, indicative that they are real and legit, maybe we should did more research earlier. Instead we regret our decision now. Anyways, as I have said, another good catch here, and obviously, since there are no ANN thread, I do hope that no one will fall for this scam.
4667  Economy / Economics / In the pandemic economy, tech companies are raking it in on: August 02, 2020, 01:05:09 AM
Very interesting to find out that these tech companies are making huge money in this pandemic, but not totally surprising though.

Quote
Despite a massive decline in advertising spending, YouTube revenue rose to $3.8 billion this year from $3.6 billion last year. Facebook’s business is largely ad-based as well — and its revenue also rose to $18.7 billion as its users doomscrolled their way through the pandemic, even though several companies publicly boycotted the platform.

Meanwhile, Amazon doubled its profit as more people ordered delivery to their homes: $5.2 billion this quarter, from $2.6 billion last year. And Apple, which had many of its stores closed for chunks of the quarter, still made $11.25 billion in profit as people bought devices to entertain themselves.

https://www.theverge.com/2020/7/30/21348652/pandemic-earnings-antitrust-google-facebook-apple-amazon

While the US economy is on the looming recession, those giant tech are the one who gets the most benefit out of the pandemic, regardless if there is a House Judiciary Committee’s investigation into the market power of Amazon, Apple, Facebook and Google and the net effect is the tech antitrust hearing was good, actually.
4668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Angelo Leo vs. Tramaine Williams WBO Junior Featherweight title Fight on: August 01, 2020, 11:16:16 PM
On a side note, it's weird seeing these boxers wearing masks. This is really our new normal. During their actual fight, are they going to wear masks also?  Grin

Lol dude, what the, I'm sure you're trolling us,  Smiley

I'm not going to bet on this one as obviously those names are not familiar with me. And probably after this fight we will know them better. But if Angelo is battle tested as what the OP has said, then it's a good bet, live underdog. And Leo has a good KO percentage, almost 50%, taller than 2 inches.

There's also a big stake on the line, vacant WBO super bantamweight belt. Williams is rank #5 while Leo is rank #2. And this is a short notice, I don't know how Williams prepared for this big fight.
4669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AltcoinDaily.io Youtube channel removed on: August 01, 2020, 02:17:01 PM
Youtube is still number one but we still need a venue similar to Youtube that showcases the best of Cryptocurrency videos we already have Bittube Lbry among others but Youtube is very popular among Crypto and non-Crypto users it's a great site to promote anything bandwidth is great it never lags compared to to other video sharing sites.

There are a lot of alternatives to be honest, but sad to say that no one comes close to Youtube in terms of exposure and monetization of your channels.

Let's us crypto-coin -users- -altcoin specified- keep on flagging profile/channel/group that are scam/unsafe. That where my problem -on Google- Google are failing to filter/sort scam from profiles, Google users should know this.
With the Twitter giveaway scam will some get scammed by give aways? Free btc/altcoins will be a scam-80%+ such a crazy/stupid scam to fall for when you can check/investigate the bitcoin address of the scammer.

I think the community is really working hard fighting scammers using Youtube as their platform. I'm sure you are familiar with the This be bbcode.org!]Scam Accusations[/url] board. But it's going to be a continuous mouse and game and I do hope that no one will fall for this trick and everyone should be educated to know these scams, specially that we have the twitter hack last week that bring more attention to this so called fake giveaways.

4670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots in Online Casinos on: August 01, 2020, 01:25:41 PM
I find myself in somehow disturbed when visiting some (big) online casinos and there is hundreds and hundreds of slot games..  presented just like that ..
This is not resembling in anyway the slot machines in a (real) casino !

I don't know what you are saying here, if you go on a traditional base casinos, you will find the same, hundreds and hundreds of slots game some are in the front, some obviously place strategically. Just like what we've seen when you play online. You will be presented with different slots games and you have to choose which one is your favorite.

I thinked of what if making an organisation like, for example making rooms for each game, with a limeted number of slots, say 10 for example. every (machine) identified apart, and every one with his own progressing jackpot,
So for example when entering the room you have to choose from the available (machines) to start playing !!

It won't be effective, in my opinion, gamblers should be presented with a lot of options and not limited to like 10 as you are saying. And that's one excitement to this game, you will have to discover by games you really like, regardless of progressive jackpots or the max bet that you can put.
4671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Calls On Hackers to Attack Ethereum 2.0 in Exchange for Bug Bounty on: August 01, 2020, 01:09:07 PM
I'm sure if any hackers found an exploit in ETH 2.0's network, they would rather use it to making some money first before thinking about report it to receive rewards. Anyways, Ethereum must be really confident about the security of their network.

I'm sure that they are confident about the security of their network, but who knows, we all know that hackers has the capability to find several loopholes and no matter how you developed your program, there could be some vulnerabilities that you can't catch.

But if there are no hackers claiming that bounty, it could be (a), they are not interested on the bounty, (b) the code is perfect or (c) they have found some vulnerabilities but are not willing to disclosed at this time and waiting for the bounty to go up.
4672  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will touch the high price in 2020? on: August 01, 2020, 11:31:13 AM
This time all the world market are in crises and also the crypto market but as my predictions that this time crypto market will make a great bull in the market becasue so many countries will soon legal the Bitcoin in their countries and the investment will start in this way in the crypto amrket so much fast.

Bitcoin will touch the high price in 2020?
 25,000$
 33,000$
 50,000$
 100,000$

If we will see a fresh new wave of investors, then we might see all time high this year. But it's not always the case, we are still in the pandemic and we might see more retail investors reluctant to join because the price is already too high for most of them.

So I'm banking of institutional money, however, it seems that they have accumulated during the bear cycle. I'm don't know where you get the idea that bitcoin will be legalised by countries argument. Bitcoin is a free market, no one can stop it or even ban them. So I'm leaning towards not seeing all time high in 2020. The market is still immature to push the price to that levels. And we really don't know what or when will be the next bubble. But in 2021, we're going to see how everything will fit the puzzle.
4673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you agree with the experts? on: July 31, 2020, 11:12:11 PM
corona has affected  the economics globally  but has also dampened the growth of crypto-currencies. Until the dreadful disease get wholly wiped off, it is not possible to see any improvement in the crypto market.

Yes, it did affect major economies in the world, no doubt about that. Even crypto have been affected negatively, bitcoin plummet to $3800 last March because of the pandemic scare. But it seems you're not aware that it has recovered already and we are in this sort of mini bull run, ETH even broke it's barrier of $300 and looking forward to hit $400-$500. So net effect is only short them.

What do you think about this? Do you also monitor the market?

Of course, who wouldn't monitor when our money is here as investments. As for those so called experts, they are just like you and me and majority of average joe, making wild educated guess. So don't put 100% trust of what they are saying, it is not a guarantee, better do you own research.
4674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter Hacker Arrested! on: July 31, 2020, 10:46:22 PM
Damn dude.

This kid is going to get one hefty sentence.
I will not be surprised if he is going to be working under serious guide to unlock some other applications. The guy brain is too hot to be wasted just like that.
oh please, there are equally better ethical hackers out there so let's not make it seem like this guy is a genius. What they did was wrong and must be punished severely for it. This should go a long way to server to detter other illegal hackers from hatching such plan and rather use their talent for something good.

If the kid is really that smart, then he can enter a plea bargain, specially if that offer is in that table coming from the prosecutor and in turn reveal how he hacked where is the money now etc. And be in community service + probation for three years out of the prison.

And then work with US agencies and be the good guy next time around. He could have a career as a security experts, so there are a lot of options for him not to waste that talent and used it for good measures.
4675  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Tip]: Anti-Phishing Apps or extensions on: July 31, 2020, 10:44:04 AM
I used EAL + Anti virus for me, EAL is good in blocking malicious sites, but it really depends if the malicious sites has been reported and included in their database.

So the best thing to do is not just rely on them, but used our common sense and not get this sense false of hope that everything is going to be safe just because you have them, it's not a guarantee, they are just a nice-haves in my opinion.
4676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Hackers are now using Dogecoin to infiltrate computers on: July 31, 2020, 10:26:46 AM
Hackers are now using Dogecoin to infiltrate computers

Quote
Dogecoin’s moment didn’t end with TikTok or Elon Musk. Instead, hackers have started using the meme cryptocurrency to control mining malware.

https://decrypt.co/37077/hackers-are-now-using-dogecoin-to-infiltrate-computers

Very interesting to here that criminals have somewhat shift their crypto jacking attack from Monero to Dogecoin. And I think this is the first time that we heard it and I'm sure not be the last.

But it doesn't make sense for hackers to his Dogecoin, the only possibility is that it should be under the radar for quite some time and maybe anti virus companies are not going to look at it and instead still focusing on Monero crypto jacking.

4677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP got 30 new WHALES!!! on: July 31, 2020, 09:57:54 AM
Only 1$?
I think XRP will archived Target 30$ until end of 2021 Smiley
In Aug.2020 XRP price will increase to 0.3$ and 1 year later XRP price x100 and archived 30$

That's too ambitious in my opinion, and it's really hard to predict where XRP is going to be at the end of 2021 or beyond. It might look bright in the future but there should be something concrete coming from them before investors started to throw money again.

Yes, they have partnered with several companies around the world, but they are targeting niche market - which is the remittance industry where there are a lot of competitions as well. For sure if altcoin will go on a bull run this year, XRP might experience some increase and spike but it doesn't mean that 30$ is in the horizon very soon.
4678  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's happening with Bitcoin & altcoins? on: July 31, 2020, 09:22:36 AM
Hello am new to this chat room please i want to ask why some of the Altcoin is not going up with bitcoin as it stand some rather are falling is there any reason for this ?

What do you mean that you are new? looking at your profile, it seems that you have been a member in this community since 2018? Or I'm I missing something here.

Give it a few more weeks.
If it doesn't move down then it may not be just a temporary one. I am really hoping this is the new bottom.
There may also be a better reason to this than just always using whales as a basis of every pump of bitcoin and altcoins.

It could be that people are learning more about cryptocurrencies due to lockdown and they are now riding the boat.

That's the nature of bitcoin though, there will be days that it will go sideways, just like what we have seen after the halving. But just this week alone, the price seems to increase in massive proportions and who would have thought that it will breach $10k like a butter and then goes on to go as high as $11,300.

Altcoins are not far behind, but only a few of them grow because of the news about Eth 2.0 and then the Defi hype continues as more investors continue to ride on the bandwagon.
4679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 12 Months of Onchain Data Shows Bitcoin Whales ... on: July 31, 2020, 08:48:14 AM
So these whales were just waiting for the moment that Bitcoin was in a cheap price to buy and when the market capitulated.
Well it's not all bad for the small fish because some of them bought at a low price and this shows how quickly Bitcoin can surge with having a scarce supply.

And because they are bullish, that's why they more likely bought in 2018 when the market is in capitulation and continue to do so, and then we have the pandemic scare that makes them very happy accumulating as well.

Interesting read. It's good on one side that whales are evening growing means they are holding for long time, it will at some point put a huge price increase if they continue to do so. On the other hand, they have the power to manipulate the market too. Bitcoin holders of around 100 BTC have been decreased. That's a sign that whales are accumulating BTC from small investors, may be by manipulating the market. It would be pretty good to have an analysis of how much people are holding BTC in between 1 and 100.

And if you notice, negative news no longer affecting the market as compare to recent years. And whales do sometime affect the price, but it will be very difficult though, you really need to work with other whales to move the market to your advantage. They buy at a certain point, until short positions are force out.

Just like the rest of gamblers here:

1. Sportsbet.io - although there is a accusations against them right now and it seems divided some DT members and other reputable members of the community, still a good option as they haven't scam me, withdrawal is smooth.

2. Nitrogensports - another old sports books around, but reliable, no issues for me. Been using them for many years now.
