Yes, I think it isn't a great thing that it doesn't support segregated witness. It puts me on the alert to warn those I transact with ahead that I use a blockchain wallet so they know they don't have to send me a Segwit address. But I also use other different wallets too, depending on the need. Using a BC wallet is kind of old school, you know. However, the good side to me is that it's very safe. I don't think your perception of it is accurate that it isn't safe. I have been using BC for 4 years now and haven't had any issue with it.

OP, you aren't alone on this. Apart from the transaction fees being a killer, the delay in confirmation time makes it worse. The fees when withdrawing from an exchange to a private wallet is a slit throat experience in addition to the already exacerbated situation. Perhaps, that could also be a reason Dogecoin is gaining momentum as transaction fee is almost like paying nothing. This day, I transact in USDT (ERC). It's very fast and the transaction fee is way too good. May be with time this exodus away from Bitcoin will become noticeable and by then it may have become too late for Bitcoin and the community that so much cherishes it.

I don't know if this is just with me as the Blockchain app I use doesn't recognize Segwit addresses (It has never recognized it once since the Segwit thing came to be). It records them as invalid addresses. Does anyone have similar issue?

BNB is a fantastic coin to buy and hodl at this time. It's not just because the Binance exchange is the top leading exchange but for the fact of what CZ has been able to do with BNB as a smart contract. This will perpetually keep the coin in high demand just like what ETH ERC has been able to do. Even if BNB crashes, it will rise back like a Phoenix. The demand will always be there for it as both old and new projects are now moving away from the ERC chain because of gas fee to BSC. However, if you want to buy back, now isn't the right time considering you sold around $245 and the current price is way above that. Wait for a correction and then reenter.

Take a look at Facebook's Mark Zukerberg, would you confidently say his wealth has made him "weak" or lazy? If anything, dude is still working his ass off to better Facebook. What would you also say of Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Warren Buffet, just to mention but three. I think the general behaviour is poor folks constantly beefing rich folks. The envy is crystal clear. Well, I for one believe there is nothing like starting something at the right time. There's never a right time. The right time is always now. Again, my little knowledge of biology tells me that a kid's mind is a tabula rasa — an empty book, so to say. And as such you can write whatever you want on it and it becomes an impression or learning. Whatever you teach anyone at young age stays with them longer than it would if taught at adult age.

While I think the Bitcoin market has gone fairly on the rise from late 2020 till now I still think it isn't yet saturated to drop. At least, not at the moment. There's still room for upward movement. The alts season is not yet come until Bitcoin's dominance on the total market cap depreciates. As it is now, Bitcoin can still do more push, even up to $60k from the two different charts — 4hrs TF and Daily.

This is the exact thing I would do — hold her by the hand. It's not enough that she's showing interest in Bitcoin, you have to make that interest worth its while for her. She can easily get distracted once she ignorantly falls victim of hack or scam. As her father and a veteran member of a Bitcoin forum you just got your first close ardent Bitcoin disciple. So, make it count. Don't be a distant observer to her. I don't think monitoring and directing her on this will be counted as infringing on her privacy or freedom if that's what you're worried about.

Don't be too quick to be fallacious on your conclusion that there won't be an alt season. That's not going to happen.. Every bull run has always culminated in an alts season which normally begins when the former ends. At the moment, Bitcoin is still enjoying its moment of glory as price keeps breaking new highs. Well, welcome to the club. There's always a first time to everything, scamming inclusive. What we should always hope on is for the first time not to be too much to wipe off our life savings. It's the price everyone pays for refusing to listen to their inner man. I had mine in 2017 when I started out in the crypto world as a noob. I saw the signs but chose to ignore them. Of course, even in your case, there were pointers to what gave the site away as fraudulent but you were in a haste to invest without doing your due diligence. I hope you've learnt a thing or two from that incidence. Move on.

Airdrops are fast becoming faucets in the post 2017 era — a mere waste of time. I have participated in a lot of airdrops but nothing good came out of them. The teams will always find a way to deny participants the drops. The few airdrops that work are those airdropped to one for holding a particular token or for having an account with an exchange. Otherwise, the promise of airdropping tokens to people is fast becoming an easy scam that is getting unnoticed.

People say Bitcoin is volatile, I tell them not to conclude yet until they've had a moment with ETH gas fees. It's really crazy, honestly, to say the least. I have had an ETH transaction hung for several days because of this said fluctuations in gas fees. I remember with sadness when I used to pay 6 Gwei as gas in 2019. Now, a similar transaction of that magnitude would go for over 50 Gwei. With the way things are with ETH gas fees, I think it's still a miracle that Ethereum is still soaring in price. Well, may be sooner than later this effect will set in now that CZ Binance has a smart contract in BSC that can challenge the ERC. Yah, I know a lot of people will argue that BSC is centralized with its attendant consequences while ETH is decentralized. Even at that, is that why the community must go through hardship because it wants to process through ETH?

I have bought a few tokens through the BSC though I haven't cashed out on them. Still waiting to see what ROI they will give. Most of the tokens on the BSC seem to be doing well a lot, at least when one checks the historical data on them. So, I believe that's what is causing the hype and rush. But this scam and deceit thing isn't exclusive to the BSC. Metamask also has its own share.

At the moment, there's a token I am holding on the BSC. There's a lot of skepticism around it, whether it has been abandoned or not by the dev and team. But I ain't letting that worry me at the moment as I keep tap on it. Remember, there's always that caveats — Don't risk money you can't afford to lose. That's the mindset I adopt whenever I make any crypto investment. It's a 50-50 thing.
