Well well well. Sees to be a little resistance at $700. Let's see how long it lasts.

Thanx for the Guinea pig!

Stop selling? Haven't sold a coin since the dead cat bounce in spring of 2013. Sold at $155, bought back at $97.

gigadump at 800 ?

All the way down to $700?

Cool. A little consolidation before setting a new ATH.

Up we go again. Isn't this fun?
4687  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you do with your new wealth? on: June 13, 2016, 05:39:07 AM
Wealth? My bitcoins are still worth less than a million bucks.

$1,000,000.00 isn't much any more. It barely buys you a crappy little condo in downtown Toronto.

It will buy you a new boathouse if you have a nice cottage in Muskoka.

It will however supplement an old age pension quite nicely. No catfood sandwiches nor being treated like an inmate in an old-age gulag. It gives you the option of hiring and firing your caregivers in your twilight years, or choosing to live on a cruise ship.

Hopefully by the time I need to sell any coins, my stash will be worth several millions. In the meantime, I'll continue to party (sex&herbs&rock&roll) while accumulating more coins by buying the dips.

Here we go again. A new high for the year.

$700 soon?
4689  Economy / Speculation / Re: I locked the profit - SOLD ALL COINS on: June 13, 2016, 04:50:54 AM
You sold your bitcoins? For what? Fiat?

Sucker.

Hey, people have bills to pay and not everyone takes btc for payment. Some people are forced to sell but not him, he sold because he's silly.

Indeed. I almost sold $100 worth today because I was short on pocket cash. Luckily I ran into someone who owed me a few hundred so I didn't need to.

If you absolutely are forced to sell coins, now's as good a time as any in the last couple of years, I suppose.

Its like 2014 all over again.  Smiley
Worst year for bitcoin?
Hopefully not, but it definitely wasn't the worst year for Bitcoin at all.

2015 was the worst year for Bitcoin overall, with a low value, minimal community engagement and mostly stagnation within the growth and development of the technology that lead to zero progress being made. This year wouldn't be able to be the worst year for Bitcoin, assuming it only went as low as $250 again this year, because we made progress and got the community engaged with a lot of stuff happening over the past 5 and 1/2 months.

I beg to differ. 2014 was the only calendar year in which Bitcoin's price actually fell. In 2015 it rose by over $100.

2015 was an excellent year for Bitcoin, an almost yearlong buying opportunity which allowed everybody to stock up on cheap coins.

For those latecomers who bought at 4-digit prices, it was an opportunity to dollar-cost-average the price of their coins down. For those of us who lost coins at Mt. Gox, it was a chance to replace them at a reasonable cost.

In the world of Bitcoin, 2015 rocked.

Well well well. I just got home after a successful day at the ballpark and patio after-partying.

Seems we're not scrapping over $650 any more. Now it's $680 (865CAD).

Jays won, Bitcoin up. Life is good. I hope all you alt fans are as happy.  Cheesy
4693  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 12, 2016, 04:31:33 PM
Time for me to head off to the ballpark but I'll take my Android device and keep checking the price.

Seems we're forming a nice little triangle in the mid-$640s after the break through $650 and the correction down to $639.

Should reach a point by the time the ballgame is over, which should be close to when the Chinese start waking up. More fireworks tonight?
4694  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoins price prediction & estimation after halving - $799.15 - $1868.52? on: June 12, 2016, 02:52:43 PM
Stop it with all the bs already, there won't be any rise. Any increase that would happen has long been calculated into the current price.
The only thing we will see caused by this nonsense is disappointments on crazy expectations, causing panic selling.

You're the one who should stop it with all the BS. You've been repeatedly wrong.

We understand your disappointment at having sold for $10 but all the FUD in the world isn't going to change the truth.

Bitcoin will continue to increase in value for years to come.

Still hodling, where my long time hodlers at?

Still here, and wealthier too.

I noticed that Hobi's price is gravitating near $666, last time I checked price was $666.66...

Is it a sign?

No, I think 4444 means more.
4698  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 12, 2016, 01:51:44 PM
Was that it? The inevitable breaking-$650 correction/profit-taking only went down to $639?

It's already halfway back up.
4699  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 12, 2016, 01:15:05 PM
Well well well. A very early but extremely good morning Bitcoinland. Woke up to empty my bladder and just had to check the prices.

I see we not only didn't get either the deep correction nor the stuck-at-$630 I was fearing at bedtime, but the rally seems to be continuing full throttle.

Now we're over $650 and I don't want to go back to bed. Exciting times.

Time to put away my waiting-for-the-train image. Seems the Cannonball Express may be rolling again.

Currently 832CAD.
4700  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 12, 2016, 06:55:57 AM
Looks like we have resistance at around $630.

I'm ready for bed but I hope I don't miss too much exciting action. We're probably overdue for a real correction but it could just as easily climb a little higher. Or of course it could just keep going sideways around $630 just as it did around $580 all last week.

Hopefully $600 is behind us now. I guess I'll see in the morning.

'Night all.
