4681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Counting cards ? Reducing odds of losing ? Is it real ? on: June 09, 2016, 09:55:25 AM
Counting cards. We all have heard about it, most probably we all have seen it on TV. Apparently casino owners don't like it. But exactly how useful is counting cards. I saw it on American dad the other day while watching Netflix and it got me thinking and I become very interested.

Is card counting advantageous ? On paper it certainly sounds very good.

Is it simply a myth ?

If it is real/true how much advantage do you actually get if any at all ?
It's definitely real and casinos don't like it and afaik they can remove + ban you from the casino if they find out.
Have you not heard about the MIT blackjack team? There was a movie about it.

You can find out more on the wiki page:

4682  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we should fear a cashless world on: June 09, 2016, 09:26:48 AM
Well in case some didn't knew, Sweden was the first cashless country since past 4 or 5 months (IIRC) and they haven't suffer any problem so far and the route for other countries is surely the same, it's just the matter of when it will happen.
Just as a note, Sweden is not yet fully cashless. Still quite a ways to go. The trend is leaning towards cashless, but plenty of places still accept physical currency.

Cashless also grants governments and other parties the ability to fully monitor your cash flow. They will know how much you make from your side job tending bar, how much you spend on pornography, where you travel. Police will track those odd $20 given to the same person every Saturday afternoon, when they realize that this same person is receiving the same amount from a dozen other people at the same time. Congratulations, you are now an open book.
Yeah when I read that post (Sweden already being completely cashless) I thought it was exagerrated. People there do make a lot more use of cards than cash but it's not completely cashless. Small purchases are still paid in cash.

I would not want to be homeless in a cashless society, how would you even get some money from begging if that was the case? Are they planning to expand the social security system alongside it?
4683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: LOL lucky day for me =DD on: June 09, 2016, 09:02:43 AM
Going to to attempt this again with my signature payments XD
I've been doing that for quite some  time now and sometimes I get lucky and double or triple thise earnings.
Only thing I lose is the time I spend to get those earnings.
4684  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Some info about Paxful.com on: June 09, 2016, 08:55:26 AM
I've used it to buy some Bitcoins using Paypal and was pretty satisfied with the service. Had to pay less fees than on Virwox, but this depends on the trader of course.

Didn't have to use their support yet so I can't comment on that.

I see some people calling it a scam, may I ask in what way? Deposites not showing up or something like that?
4685  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Poloniex Lending Bot Service on: June 09, 2016, 08:46:57 AM
Is it currently free to use while it's still in alpha? The website looks pretty good, definitely looks professional.
What is the minimum amount of BTC required to start lending, using your bot?

I'm asking because I'd like to know this before I create an account Smiley
4686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Storing of Bitcoins is against Bitcoin. on: June 09, 2016, 08:21:21 AM
Maybe in its early stages, it is going to hinder the growth of bitcoin because storing it will limit it to a few holders. But as people become more and more aware of bitcoin, it will naturally be in circulation as the demand will increase. This currency is still facing a lot of uphill battles towards mass adoption but we see progress everyday.

I think for selfish reasons, it is better to store the bitcoins. But circulation will also help the price performance.
I also agree with this, Bitcoin should be used the same way as people use regular fiat currency. Save part of your coins, but also use a small portion of them.

But to say that storing Bitcoin is against Bitcoin is a bit crazy I think.. Bitcoin is all about freedom and this saying goes completely against that.
4687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much do you earn from referrals on gambling sites? on: June 09, 2016, 07:59:59 AM
I never earn money from referrals on gambling sites, because it's really hard to find a referrals. Some people already register on that gambling sites, even i spread my link, no one go to my link.
the best way to get active referral are by build a website about casino bonus and put your referral link there.
it is work very well as most people looking for bonus, they would never look at who they referred to.
and they would just play it & earn you money from referral.

For me i only earn a little referral bunos from gambling site cause i dont do posting referrals in crypto fb groups i only refer my friends in some gambling sites and thats very ok to me and i have known friend where he earn 1btc+ for just referring a well known dice site and he really get referral bunos cause his referral is so active in gambling maybe they have nice strat on that game or maybe they are catching their lose Smiley but really he got some nice bunos their.
may i know what casino are you talking about? i mean when you said your friend earn 1 bitcoin ++ for just referring.
i guess the casino/site has a huge percentage of affiliate system for us?
i currently studying how fortunejack affiliate works with their rates , and would very soon join it.
Sounds like he got lucky and referred a high roller, you could get 1 btc from a single referral on almost every site, it just takes longer on some Smiley
4688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: State of Bitcoin poker on: June 09, 2016, 07:51:03 AM
alot of good points here.  How have poker sites tried to implement provably fair? seems with all the dice sites, noone will trust anything that doesnt claim to be provably fair.
That is the right point being mentioned there.I have come across a lot of good poker sites but there is no way to verify how poker is provably fair.I mean in the provably fair section you can all the games listed but poker. But they do have something called as  "Live Poker" which I believe is real shuffle stream behind the screens.I hope the future of poker is simply a site acting as middle entity for two players to play the game with some minimum house edge per game.
Would it even be possible to set up a provably fair system for online poker? Anyway, I don't think that's the main reason for people playing at different sites.

Compare any Bitcoin poker site with a traditional poker site and you'll see that the Bitcoin ones have ugly software in comparison to the traditional ones.
4689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Receive usd on website, get paid in btc on: June 08, 2016, 10:07:08 AM
There are many websites that you could use. If you want to make the transaction in person, you could probably find someone on LocalBitcoins in your area.
If you're going to say something like that, at least back up your statement with some examples.

OP, you're talking about something like Bitwage, but for smaller payments probably? The only thing I can think of is having the money deposited on a Paypal account or other wallet and convert it from there. Then it wouldn't have to go through your bank account.
4690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS STILL FAMOUS on: June 08, 2016, 09:44:06 AM
Yes bitcoin will continue to famous if bitcoin can make progress or bitcoin prices rose.
That will make the people are adopting bitcoin.

Yup, the future of the bitcoin will experience huge advances and far beyond our prediction. Because the bitcoin has a uniqueness that is different from the other and the uniqueness of it is extremely rare. Everyone will immediately accept bitcoin because its profits and the system adopted was much better.
What are you talking about? There are a number of coins which offer the same features as Bitcoin, the only thing that's unique about Bitcoin is that it has got the highest usage out of all crypto currency.
4691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TRICKS ON HOW TO WIN on dice games on: June 08, 2016, 09:37:48 AM
I think martingle strategy is risky right? Because i use it before in primedice, bitsler, and other gambling site i always loss . Its right we need huge amount of bitcoin to win this but how much huge ? If your base bet is only 100 sats. How much loss it can resist to continue the betting? I use it before i always lose.
If he's using 100 sat base bet, then he can sustain quite a few losing streaks. But it will also take a very long time to profit significantly. And he'll end up losing too, once he gets a  big losing streak.
4692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PH is now considering Bitcoin on: June 07, 2016, 10:46:09 AM
I'm glad that the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas ( Central Bank of the Philippines ) is now considering the use of bitcoin.  And I'm sure it will be implemented soon here in our country.
You may read the whole article below.
http://interaksyon.com/business/128696/ph-now-a-major-player-on-virtual-currency-usage---bsp-exec

The article says that the Central Bank will consider the regulation of virtual currencies. But regulation is very large. If you will go at this page here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_bitcoin_by_country you will find to many countries which have regulated bitcoin and no one have equals. In other word there are 50 different regulations. And no one has accepted bitcoin as currency. Philipines speak about full regulation. Let see how will finish. But I am very skeptical.
In most, if not all countries where the use of Bitcoin is oermitted, banks are not allowed to use or offer Bitcoin based products to their customers.

So if the Philipines fully regulate it, their banks could be the first bank to integrate Bitcoin as a currency?
4693  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin is PedoCoin - this is getting ridiculous on: June 07, 2016, 10:39:54 AM
It's sick that stuff like this happens around the world and definitely not good for the reputation of Bitcoin.
Luckily they could still lock him up in Britain, even though the crimes were comitted in a different country.
4694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: does anyone remember... on: June 07, 2016, 10:32:38 AM
Yeah I remember those times, I was lucky enough to buy some Bitcoins for around 200 euro and not too long after that, the price shot up and kept rising.
I bought a new phone and cashed out most of my coins when it hit 1000 dolllars
4695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I never made any profits in dice game.. whats is your opinion on: June 07, 2016, 10:29:26 AM
I think what the OP failed to mention is that he tries to get profit from dust/faucet. Faucet is there to try a site and not to profit from it. If you had deposit an initial amount and had a fair bank to start with then setting a profit goal of let's say 1/4 of the bank would be a lot easier to make it.
If that's the case then it's pretty unlikely that he will ever make a profit but not impossible.
I've made 0.02 btc from the faucet at crypto-games when I had a big luck streak Smiley
4696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you spend your gambling winnings on ? on: June 07, 2016, 10:19:53 AM
I always just cash out when I win any significant amount and sometimes I also send part of the Bitcoins that I've won into a paper wallet.

After I cashed out, I just spend it on regular things like food etc.

4698  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Do You Still Use Bitcoin Faucets??? on: June 03, 2016, 01:42:44 PM
I've used faucets for about one or two weeks with Faucetbox, but it's really not worth it.
During that week, I made like 0.01 btc in total after sometimes spending days filling in those annoying captchas.

I really liked http://moonbit.co.in/ since it was probably the highest paying one at the time. But I think they've lowered their rates since then.

10 Best Bitcoin Wallets For Secure Bitcoin Storage

http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/bitcoin-wallets/

Nice! Thank you for sharing!
I use a multibit (old one) but I am not happy with it Sad
Yeah multibit isn't one of my favourites either, I've had some issues with it in the past and I switched over to Electrum.
So I'd definitely recommend Electrum..

You can also use a paper wallet if you need to store Bitcoins for any long period, if you create it correctly, then it's very safe, and also not too hard to do.

Here's a tutorial on that, in case you'd want to experiment:
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Paper_wallet

And here's a list of all the major Bitcoin wallets from the Bitcoin wiki:
https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

Edit (missed this post):
A lot of replies and a really responseful community , thank you for your ideas, after reading through here decided to go for Multibit HD , I heard is being bought from a hardware wallet company so they must make it even more secure and I like the fact that it hiddes a lot of things from me. Just installed it, but thinking also to switch to a safer OS but not ready for this step yet.
I wouldn't personally recommend Multibit, as stated above. I've had some issues with it, where I forgot to update and it messed up the wallet (or access to my wallet from Multibit). Never had that happen with Electrum.
4700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Jobs on: June 03, 2016, 12:50:23 PM
Are there any full time jobs that pay in bitcoin?
you can try working for solving captcha at legit captcha companies and plenty capcha companies accept bitcoin as the payment such as megatyper or kolotibablo even though pay rates not very high but this is worth than faucets sites

How do you see that as a full time job, you won't even make enough to pay rent from doing that.
You can basically only do freelance work and ask to get paid in Bitcoins or work through bitwage and get paid in Bitcoins, but others have already mentioned that.

It might be possible to get a full time job at a bitcoin related company and have them pay you in Bitcoins directly.
