Slock.it looks very promising and runs off the ETH blockchain. Very pumped for this technology.

Doesn't change the fact that Ethereum is a IPO, pre-mined scam.

4684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lisk ICO Scam on: March 27, 2016, 11:42:36 PM
LISK is s scam and the sooner people realise the better. I'd never invest 1 cent in a college dropout and a failed ColdFusion developer. Sorry you got stitched up.
4685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lisk could be a big disappointment... on: March 25, 2016, 11:38:30 AM
It's pretty much a scam.
4686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ether price? on: March 24, 2016, 12:41:45 AM
ETH is cheap right now and should be seen as a long term investment. Each day there are more and more new devs jumping into the Ethereum Eco system to develop DAO and DAPPS. And let's not forget the banking industries great interest in ETH.
4687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH GETTING DUMPED HARD!!!! on: March 24, 2016, 12:37:17 AM
It went from ~0.037 to ~0.021 to ~0.029 where it is now.  This excludes lots of little ups and downs inbetween.  This thread was started with the initial drop.
By the original thread starters own admission he started it to talk down the price so he could try to pick up some cheap ETH. Thankfully his plan failed.
4688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Augur - a decentralized prediction market platform on: March 18, 2016, 11:00:20 PM
What we have here is just the beginning of a wonderful life changing startup business. Due to limited 11 billion reps and a future so bright noone cant even imagine price will be in tremendously higher spaces once the beta goes final. Someone might can say, a once in a lifetime chance.
11 million not billion.

How do people store their REP? Mines on Gatecoin but I'd like to move it offline hopefully. Any help?

ETH GETTING DUMPED HARD!!!!

Duh. Every pump has its dump be it eth, btc, or whatever.

Feel sorry for those who got sucked in by "eth will be $50 in a month" and other such rubbish. The pump went a lot longer than I thought it would for a much higher price. Its been a ticking time bomb for weeks.

The pumperdumpers/insiders got rich and their suckers now belong to the fraternity of bagholders.

Sell for a loss now or wait on the hope of another round of pumping. Sometimes they never go back up to former glory.

Waiting and hoping is historically the worst decision.

Has bitcoin returned to $1000. No.
Has litecoin returned to $48. No.

I've tried to appeal to their intelligence with reasoning too and they just don't want to hear it.
I guess you just can't cure stupid.. got to let them be.
Let them cry FUD now then go quiet and skulk off with their tail between their legs later.
Notice how when the price is rising we have 20 new topics a day on page 1 ?
But when it gets dumped on they all go quiet and start talking about other coins ? ROFL
Sounds like you've git a faulty logic board because it's actually:

ETH in news = ETH price rise = ETH topics to post and discuss.
ETH not in news = ETH price falls = less ETH topics to post and discuss.

Let see where we are news-wise after next weeks R3CEV funded Ethereum Socratis Meeting in NYC.
4690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: March 18, 2016, 01:26:57 AM
Lol Bitcoiners had a "good" day after all the agony that's still ahead and like to pick a bad day based on fake news, the price is already recovering and should touch 0.03 again during the weekend. We'll see where BTC and ETH are by the end of the year...
Indeed. ETH is a fantastic new tech still in its embryonic stages. Remember we are just out of beta. A lot of good times ahead for ETH and the guys. Let's not forget the successful POC conducted by R3CEV on behalf of 40 of the worlds largest banks. Talking of which R3CEV are funding next weeks Ethereum Socrates meeting in NYC.

I'm long on ETH. It's a fantastic new tech and just in its embryonic stages. Remember we are just out of beta.
4692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: March 17, 2016, 11:18:36 AM

55 thousand new Ethers per day coming into the supply.

Need to keep increasing the marketcap just to maintain the price.

1500 BTC in buys (per day) should do it  Wink

Lies and complete FUD!! There is 90m cap. Not 20m new ETH a year. Quit lying.
4693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins are NOT btc. Enought!! on: March 16, 2016, 09:13:19 PM
correct

"most" but not "all"

just like the tech bubble 1.0

Yeah...it's sad, but inevitable. Did you know that there were hundreds of automobile companies as of 1910 or so? But in 1950, there were only five left.
I assume a lot of companies either failed or were merged. Wonder if we'll see crypto mergers in the future.
4694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uncharted Territory ....... ? on: March 16, 2016, 09:08:38 PM
Nonsense. This is the alt coin section so all alt coins can be discussed.
This was in Bitcoin section but it is moved to Altcoins because topics such as this belong to alts.
Probably moderator saw this and reacted. I'm not crazy. Wink  ETH members have more then 15 topics about ETH..
Apologies I didn't realise it had been moved.

looks like that was the blow-off top in ether fart gas.

Prep yourselves for the years of the long bear markets ether luvvers ... or sell now and buy back at fiddy cents in 18 months or so ...?

Waiting for cheap coins to get in is futile... better buy now or miss out and cry for the rest of your life  Smiley

Ether is treading water at .031 while bag holders make up their minds what they are going to do. Smart traders bought in January when the uptrend established and got out at the double top on 3/14. The proper time to buy again is not now, but when/if Ether breaks out above .037 on strong volume and an uptrend establishes again. There may be more money to be made, maybe not. Ether may well be just another PnD the jury is still out.

That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. I think the price can definitely correct a little but it can also continue its uptrend to $20. Bitcoin is going nowhere anytime soon and ETH is based on hype (that we can agree on). Every other day there are news that pump the price even higher. In the next days there could be Circle, Xapo, Coinbase looking to add Ethereum and the price can skyrocket to $25 or more. Remember when crossing $10 was crazy?

I will try to buy as low as possible with my BTC (that can be worth half in the next months in my opinion...no way it will reach $500 or more...it's done for). If Ethereum goes back to sub $10 or sub $5 ever again it will be a great chance for many of us to get a whole lot of it...100, 1000, whatever. I'm only hoping to get some crash dumps but sometimes you just need to buy some dips to not lose the train.

the best thing would be for people to stop talking about Ethereum for a while and let the dev team get on with developing.

You mean they can't work unless we stop talking about it? From what I see Ethereum devs are always working and have a very clear plan ahead of them.
Not only that they successfully performed a hard fork. Something the BTC overseers have yet to even attempt.

Thanks, which ones to go for then?

It's still possible to mine ETH. Go to GitHub to read and download the code.

LTC is dead. I wouldn't waste the clicks.
