4681  Economy / Economics / Re: Is wallet security important to use? on: February 27, 2019, 11:43:05 AM
I think anyone investing a significant amount into cryptocurrencies should consider a hardware wallet, thus making theft much more difficult due to its encryption of private keys. It can be very comforting to know that a hardare wallet is immune to even a compromised computer.

Even if you don't hold large portions of crypto a hardware wallet is essential.
You are not afraid that you will get phised by any website and this is the main source of scamming nowadays. I bought a hardware wallet along with my first crypto purchase.
4682  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Whales have accumulated thousands of coins in last 2 months on: February 26, 2019, 04:22:44 PM
I think that this trend was empowered mostly because people started panic selling. These people who held small portions of bitcoin didn't find any interest in continuing to hold their cryptocurrencies because it started losing value. On the other hand, whales find a way and an opportunity to accumulate more coins.
4683  Economy / Economics / Re: Bull VS Bear Markets, How Do You Tell The Difference!? on: February 26, 2019, 04:08:24 PM
it is very hard to earn money during bears. opening short positions are also too much risky because whales hit the positions periodically. all we can do is wait and hold whatever you have.

Actually, the most amount of money that you can earn could be during a bear market. If you are just hodling and wait for a price to be hit and make a profit then you will probably do not make a lot of profit. Shorting the price and playing with short term trading can be proven very profitable. You just need the experience to do that.
4684  Economy / Economics / Re: is it possible that the bitcoin was created by governments? on: February 26, 2019, 11:11:30 AM
According to conspiracy theory, Is it possible that the bitcoin was created by governments to gain financial strength in the modern world?

I don't think that bitcoin was created by governments. If any government would create bitcoin they will possibly use it for their own benefits and internal transactions rather than making it public. I can't see any benefit for any government to create the chain and bring a new revolutionized economic system that it is already established to the societies that they handle.
4685  Economy / Economics / Re: Vitalik buterin suggests ripple is better than BTC. on: February 26, 2019, 10:52:15 AM
In a discussion about BTC, Vitalik buterin just said xrpp is better than BTC.

I think this is interesting, as many people keep saying ripple is a centralized shitcoin, etc, while it is not a shitcoin. On the other hand, it shows how Vitalik is not anymore that guy who would like to decentralize everything.

Lol, it is a sarcastic post, he doesn't really mean that.
And if it wasn't, he is not talking about the technology or the features that Ripple and Bitcoin have. He is talking about the marketing that Ripple team does in order to promote their project.

He still thinks that Ripple is a shitcoin. You should be very naive to believe the opposite.
4686  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here we go. Bitcoin ripping through $4000 on: February 26, 2019, 10:45:00 AM
In the short term it's a bull trap.In the long term is just moving to the next ATH.So it's both. Grin
Many desperate unpatient noob traders will feel some relief during this price increase, but don't get too excited. The price always goes down during the summer.

Very well said.
I am laughing at those who believed that the bull run had started after seeing a price increase and a green market for two days. People get too excited when they see an increase but they forget that we have suffered a market downturn for approximately a whole year.
Before making hype posts reconsider it and don't push people into taking wrong trading decisions.
4687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 26, 2019, 10:41:20 AM
^ Both Sarri and Kepa played down the incident but nobody believes them. Whatever the misunderstanding when manager calls you out you get out. No point arguing after your number is lifted on that board indicating the transfers. Chelsea didn't need situation like this on top of transfer window ban.

At least I learned another football rule that day. It seems there is written somewhere that if player doesn't want to get out referee doesn't have to do anything. Manager can't actually force his player off the pitch. However, depending on club politics he can kick him out of the club after the match the has finished  Grin

From this incident, Sarri is the only that it is going to be harmed. If Chelsea will lose against Tottenham, then Sarri will be possibly sacked as not only he is losing the one game after the other, but also the players do not respect his decision meaning that he has lost control over the dressing room.
4688  Economy / Economics / Re: thinking of selling or investing more. on: February 26, 2019, 10:38:34 AM
if we have large capital to invest, it is better to buy new assets rather than sell existing assets. this is currently the lowest point and many experts predict that cyrpto prices will not fall again and crypto prices can surpass more than last year. if we do not have large capital, it is better for us to trade so that our assets can develop.

Large capital investments are good both for Long-term positions and short-term as well.
It generally depends on the strategy that the investor wants to follow because in many situations following a short term strategy requires knowledge about market conditions. On the other hand, long-term is just a HODLING strategy waiting for the preferred selling price to be hit. Having said that, there is no exception between large and low capital investment but in investment planning.
4689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: February 26, 2019, 10:28:44 AM
It has been a while since I haven't seen a La Liga game but I have seen some statistics in general not for the teams like Real and Barcelona but for teams like the ones that played yesterday, and I noticed the number of goals produced for a game is not the same as it used to be.

Quality of this league going down or is just a wrong impression I have ?

Maybe it is not the quality of the football that it is going down. I think that modern football playstyle is more structured, thus teams play more defensive than attacking each other.

I have noticed that in various leagues around Europe. Tight defensive playstyle doesn't give the opportunity for high scores in matches.
4690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: February 25, 2019, 12:43:49 PM
Lebron is already top 3 without a doubt and many people put him above Jordan already.

Well they're idiots then.  Roll Eyes
Jordan is by far the best player ever. You may not have seen him play but there was never anyone to dominate the game the way he did and he did it against much better opposition than there is today (players like Magic, Bird, Barkley, Malone, Thomas...)
And don't give me the "he had better team" excuse, he made the team.

There is a huge difference in the playstyle that Jordan used to play and in which Lebron James plays right now. Opinions may differ on the way that they like to see basketball been played. I don't blame any of my counterparts and I respect if they believe so. For me, they are both great players that have given us amazing times in the NBA.
4691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 25, 2019, 12:14:46 PM
Fiorentina vs Inter in 20 minutes both scored 1 - 1. This must be going to be high scoring match. Giovanni scored in the first minute for Fiorentina  but in the 6th minutes Inter equalized. From previous head to head Inter gets the vote to win though.
very intresting game to watch Fiorentina robbed one point at the last minute as The referee gave a penalty in the 96th minute, saying the ball touched Di Ambrosio, returning to the video technique for the fifth time in the game and deciding to score the kick, and Jordan Veretout scored a tie in the 99th minute, to end each side with a single point.

Inter had played some decent games at the start of the season but they have dropped their performance a lot lately. I think that they will not be capable of holding the 3rd position until the end of the season. It will be a surprise to me if I see Milan ending 3rd but I think that Roma will be more consistent with the three teams and they will grab the third place.

I think Inter game was impacted in a big way from the referee which gave a penalty to the other team in the 98 minute. I watch sport shows as I am a fan of soccer in general and many soccer analysts from different countries which I watch through Dreambox , like Sky, Taquilla, C+Deporte said the penalty was not correct.

I agree that the referee made a huge mistake in the game against Fiorentina. The sad thing is that he watched the highlight with VAR technology and still got the wrong decision (if I am not mistaken). However, I think that they have dropped their performance in general. If Icardi will be about to leave and move to Chelsea as rumors say then they will be in a bad situation.
4692  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Plunge to $3,700 Expected, Say Traders on: February 25, 2019, 11:22:42 AM
Ok, the price just surpassed $4k mark, so definitely something is brewing inside and this might be a bull run is the making. But I won't be too excited, not yet, it might not sustain this run so we need to observed in the next couple of days again. But definitely, its not going to $3700.

You should consider that again. After 3 days of a green market, we reached over 4k but just a few hours were needed in order to settle down again to a 3.7k approximately.
The market is fluctuating so much and mostly it goes downwards. As time goes by, I think 2019 will not be a good year for the blockchain industry as well. We don't see any rise in the price for a long time now.
4693  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-02-22]Zuckerberg: Blockchain to be Integrated into Facebook Login on: February 25, 2019, 11:09:05 AM
Facebook is a huge platform that would bring a lot of people to the blockchain industry.
However, I think that there are other platforms that can be proven beneficial for the community such as pinterest or instagram what have to do with the photography part.
I am also keeping my distances from this website as I don't know if it is reliable or not and news like this one come to the public constantly.
4694  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-02-20] Google Introduces Bitcoin Symbol on iOS Keyboards on: February 25, 2019, 10:50:41 AM
The bitcoin symbol in Android is real? I thought this was from someone who was trolling in social media as a set up for the fake screenshot of Vitalik begging Google to add an ETH symbol also. To which Google supposedly answered no because only bitcoin is the only longterm viable cryptocoin.

This stupid bitcoin news website thought the fake screenshot was real hehehehe.

https://coindoo.com/vitalik-buterins-attempt-to-have-ethereum-symbol-added-to-google-keyboard-fails/

This is the reason why I stopped reading news on untrustworthy crypto websites. They are trolling and they are trying to manipulate people's opinion with such a bad way.
There was not any reason of trying to FUD Ethereum, yet they did.
4695  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-02-24] 3 Properties,are being sold for cryptocurrencies in the Philippines on: February 25, 2019, 10:18:47 AM
This news seems very interesting and promising for the future of the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry.
It puzzles me how the local real estate authorities will react to this selling, and how this transaction will be recorded in the systems. Will this transaction trigger a bureaucratic domino? I am not aware of the legislation in the Philippines this is why I am asking.
4696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling strategies (beliefs) on: February 25, 2019, 10:10:52 AM
My strategy depends on what game I am playing,
If it is dice then I would go with martingale strategy,
But if it is other types of gambling I would just use my instinct.

I have tried Martingale when I was playing dice and it didn't work at all. Statistically, as many bets as you are placing it is inevitable that you end up losing because your chances of winning the bet are minimizing when the bets are stacked. There is no clear strategy that would make you "cheat" the system/casino. Everything is based on luck.

4698  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: WATCH OUT PHISHING BLOCKCHAIN WALLET PAGE!!! on: February 25, 2019, 09:54:22 AM
Thank you for sharing that.

Phising websites have become rampant and scammers have found this new way of paying Google and promote them at the top. Something similar has happened with tronscan.org (it is the respective Block Explorer for the TRON network). Scammers have paid Google and when you type "tronscan" a phising link appears at the top.

Everyone Watch out... The best solution is to bookmark the websites that you have to access your wallets.
4699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling - A Game of Luck or Strategy on: February 25, 2019, 09:31:07 AM
There are not any strategies that are applied to gambling games.
Everything is about luck because there are high levels of risk which do not give you the opportunity to apply a strategy that will minimize the risk or give you more profits.
The earlier you realize that the sooner you will save some money in your pocket.
4700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You cannot win in gambling on: February 25, 2019, 09:10:49 AM
There is saying that house always wins, this is true. But if you google a little you will see that there are some solutions for some games and some rules if you wanna play them and win. Percentage in this wont be so big but win is a win after all. Huge gain is in gambling but also high risk and this is something that doctors call some sort of addictions.

You are connecting the things wrong. Addiction does not stem from high levels of risks.
It comes from the volume of adrenaline that fulls your body and the feeling that follows up this.

You can win in gambling but if you want to make a profit you should give it a shot once. If you keep betting and betting then it is statistically inevitable that you are going to lose your money.
