And Manchester City are the league cup champions. What a day for the Citizens, Liverpool dropped points, and now they lift some silverware.

Btw, that might've been Kepa's last game with Sarri, seriously, that was the most surreal thing I've seen in a long time in football (for those who missed it, Sarri wanted to sub Kepa for Caballero, the spaniard refuses even though Caballero is literally waiting next to the fourth official, then Sarri goes mental.)

About Man Utd vs Liverpool. I actually backed Man utd win @3.18, couldn't let that pass, especially with United playing at home. Well, it turns out that not only I lost my bet, but also watched what was probably the worst EPL game of 2019 so far, just an awful game.

Just as I have predicted, It happened this Liverpool vs Man Utd match is destined to be a fixture very shy of goals, at Half time the score remains 0 - 0 at the Old Trafford, This match could eventually end goalless, I'd not be surprised though.

Arsenal meanwhile are 2 nil up against a relegation threatened Southampton at the Emirates staidum.

I dont know how you predict these goal less matches which end up in a draw.
I think this is the third one I have seen you do it in the last month.

Lol, I'd say it happens just to be a good day for me, I lost on Man City vs Chelsea match though, I had Man City to win in full time.
Congratulations to them for EFL trophy, and I really do hope they can go ahead to defend their premier league title as well. Kudos to Chelsea too, even though they never had a shot on goal, I'd say the executed their game plan well enough to contains Man City's threat, maybe all they could have needed was a shot on target and that probably could have won it for them.

I didn't really like betting on the Man Utd/Liverpool match however I did bet a small amount on the draw which I thought might happen. I didn't see the game as I was sleeping and was more interested in the League Cup match between Man City and Chelsea so I got up early for this match. I'm very happy that Man city won the match on penalties. The match ended in drama with Kepa refusing to come off late in extra time as it was looking like going to penalties.

Leicester City have announced that they fired Claude Puel as manager after 16 month with the foxes and they are seeking a deal with Brendan Rodgers as his successor. Rodgers is currently manager of Celtic.
Leicester could also consider Rafael Benítez, whose contract at Newcastle expires at the end of the summer. Assistant manager Jacky Bonnevay also departs and first team coaches Mike Stowell and Adam Sadler will takeoverthe management of the team.

I think you're missing things up, Maurizio Sarri is Chelsea's coach and he wasn't gonna be the one in the goal for the penalty, He planned on bringing in Willy Caballero the 2nd choice goalkeeper.
I've seen Caballero on penalty shootouts a number times before, He's really good at it, the fact that he'd played at Man City before would have giving him an added advantage of knowing the players ways of playing their spot kicks.

What I saw yesterday in the Carabao Cup Final was totally an embarrassment for Chelsea and mostly for Sarri. The fact that Kepa refused to be substituted and made these signals with hands etc show exactly what is going on to the Chelsea dressing room right now. Sarri has lost control over the players and they clearly do not respect him. The only one that will be harmed is Sarri from this situation.

My 5 year old can shoot harder than that Jorginho penalty. Any way, I guess Kepa got what he deserved for humiliating his manager.

I really don't know what Chelsea organization is doing, even to think a goalkeeper believes he can do something like that is the definition of toxic work place and no manager with self respect would ever take job at Chelsea again, I don't care how big they are from now on they will be capable of getting B listed managers, no one like lets say Klopp, Mourinho, pep and whoever else you think on their level will accept that job ever again.

What they decide on the goalkeepers future and managers future will decide on Chelsea future as well, even if they want to fire the manager first they should let him bench and even send the goalkeeper to reserves as a punishment and keep him there for a while, even until the end of the season but that is risky, after that you can fire the manager without a problem.

I read somewhere that Sarri has played down the incident, saying it is not no big deal and that it was just an honest misunderstanding.
Although, I think he  could just be trying to let the media stop spreading the news.

Chelsea vs Tottenham tomorrow and if I remember correctly in the last few games they have met together there has been a lot of goals between these teams.

I don't see any other interesting game for this week, other strong teams like Liverpool, Arsenal and the Manchesters should have an easy win.

Looks like they fined him already. If I were the management, I would even just ban him from playing or suspend him even from training together with the squad for a period. The substitute keeper was also really pissed apparently, but it was strange to see that only David Luiz tried to ask Kepa to leave the pitch.

It's not so much about managers who can take the job now, this is 1 player, to me, but how the whole club and management reacts will show how bad the situation is.

From this incident, Sarri is the only that it is going to be harmed. If Chelsea will lose against Tottenham, then Sarri will be possibly sacked as not only he is losing the one game after the other, but also the players do not respect his decision meaning that he has lost control over the dressing room.

Exactly.  Maybe they were briefed by the Chelsea board and was told what to say in public to save what's left of the club's image.

So Brendan Rodgers looks like he’s about to manage a team at his level. Celtic is a one team league, easy to win & he was a flop at Liverpool. Leicester is his level.
