edit 3:

Quote
The use and extent of insurance in connection with the business of holding, exchanging, or transacting in virtual currencies is not well understood.

Egregious misspelling unbecoming of an official state agency report.

I must be missing something...
I can't find any misspelling in that quote...much less egregious.

holding. hodling.

umm... sorry?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MsvER1dpjM

Humour aside, I noticed, while I was skimming the report, that "Taiwan" was misspelled as "Tawain" not once but twice.  I wondered if the NY AG sub-contracted the writing of the report to Chinese nationals who purposely misspelled Taiwan so the report would bypass the Golden Shield because I find it hard to believe that the following people:
Senior Advisor and Special Counsel to the Attorney General Simon Brandler
Senior Enforcement Counsel John Castiglione
Assistant Attorney General Brian Whitehurst of the Investor Protection Bureau
Assistant Attorney General Joseph Mueller of the Consumer Frauds & Protection Bureau
Investor Protection Bureau Chief Cynthia Hanawalt
Chief of Staff Brian Mahanna
along with their various administrative assistants combined with the power of spell-check could have possibly missed this.

Welcome to the forum, me too I am a newbie just like you got introduced by my friend.

There's your problem right there.  You should have kept him as a friend rather than marry him.... live and learn I guess.
4706  Other / Meta / Re: Be Honest; What would you do If you are a high rank member and In this situatio? on: September 19, 2018, 09:56:40 PM
My husband is a high rank member in this forum and he introduced me to bitcointalk few months back and since joining this forum, I do more of content creation.

But with the recent new rule in the forum, I was demoted back to newbie and I have asked my husband to send me some merit so I could rank up and continue my signature bounty, but he blatantly refused the request.

I feel so sad about it and have refused talking to him now, but on a second thought I decided to seek the opinion of the high rank member.

Please can you deny your wife just 1 merit to rank up to Jr member?

I need a sincere and honest answers

If he doesn't give you merit, you know what you can't give to him  Grin Grin

WTF?  I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say her husband wouldn't want a midget anyway... especially a male midget.  Not sure where you're going with this but please stop now.

My wife guaranteed me that nobody would get this...  Is that your brother with the tattoos or what?

These guys are lethal smart.

For sure!  That's one of the things I love about this place.

Kudos to everyone who tried this challenge.  I didn't realize until after I posted but the google images are from 2012 and look quite different which made it difficult and the Romanian street naming convention (if one exists) made it even more challenging.  There are 7 major roads coming into/going from this intersection which is called Piata Victoriei.  I was standing on the southwest corner of Soseaua Nicolae Titulescu and Strada Buzesti.

Micgoossens - Awesome powers of deductive reasoning (maybe more Iron Man than Thor?).  Piata Victoriei is correct.

BobLawblaw - Your google map link was closest to where I was standing - winner!!

Icygreen - Also very close to where I was standing - good job!

Anybody up for a HairyMaclairy inspired game of "Where's Wall-do"?  I thought it might be a distraction from the prevailing bearishness.  Bragging rights only for the winner.

Scenario for a positive trend, early October. Specifically 03/10 - 05/10 set the peak $9000/1BTC

This scenario is feasible when BTC passes $7200 and has a stable btc around $5800 - $6000

What is the opinion of people?

This is a chart I have identify over a month ago, and now is in the middle of September. Current BTC price is above $6000
So this prediction could happen in October next?
Everyone please give your opinion?

I don't know why they call it the bat/butterfly/crab; I only ever see bikini tops.

Bullish.

So you're telling me that the bullish trend is afoot... ? Cool

So it looks like it's time to kick ass or chew gum... and we're all outta bubblegum.

Time to drop a truth bomb in here. Never tell any woman how much crypto you have. They do not love you, they love what you can do for them. If they think you have money, they will feel entitled to it.

My gf is pretty angry at me regarding bitcoin to be honest. If I’d cashed out at the ATH I’d have become a millionaire. At the current prices with my HODLED stash, I’m not.

She keeps telling me ‘bitcoin is finished, it must be over, you should have cashed out, we’ll never get another chance like that’.

It's your money and your Bitcoin yet shes "pretty angry". The fact that she says "we’ll never get another chance like that" pretty much tells me she does feel entitled to it and she feels that those realized losses are her losses. I would be looking for a new girlfriend.

We’ve been together 10 years (since our early 20’s)so it’s not like a new gf thing. I’m HODLING until mid 2021 regardless.

After ten years, she can no longer be called a girlfriend unless you are also married to another woman.

Guys, I dont understand what the problem, why dont we ban everyone posting about their pools in coin threads? Why exactly zergpool, is there some kind of bias? Or competitors just put few more spam reports on my posts?

Is that permanent or temporary ban?

I have said, I am ok to delete those posts, I also apologized few times already. What else should I do?

Just so you know, I have been reporting not only your posts but any member's posts that utilize a graphic/large bold coloured text etc to advertise their pool within another member's thread.  There is no bias; ads are reported as I find them and you are not being singled out.  I have reported thousands of advertising posts.
I would understand if this message concerned small new pools, this pool large and works for a long time. you could just write him a private message so he could correct all his messages.

You're right, I could have done that or he could have read and understood the rules about advertising - there were probably many other ways for him to avoid a ban.  I have no idea if his venture is large or small and neither do I care - I am reporting all.  I could have kept quiet and no one would have been the wiser but I wanted to alleviate his fears of biased persecution.

Perhaps rather than joining his compatriots and posting his ads, he should have reported the existing ones to prevent the other "me too" spam ads.

 This isn't about me.

The sad status of our society

I have a slighty different interpretation of "status of society"  Grin

All these repeating images remind me of the time I had already come to the end of the internet and then my parents began using the internet.  They would forward me these "funny" e-mails that I had already seen innumerable times.  It was very annoying then too. At least these newbies aren't phoning to tell me to check my e-mail.

A little better, but still expensive

Only Apple goes on stage with up to 2 year old models.
