4721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: No Bull Run in 2018? on: July 05, 2018, 02:28:07 PM
No Bull Run in 2018?

I am just wondering what will happen to the cryptocurrency market if there will be no bull run that can happen before the end of this year as what many have been expecting? Can we then anticipate a much lower market volume or will there be instead a big rebound like a market revenge? Or should we start watering down our expectations as soon as possible?  I have been thinking of the possible scenarios because I can sense that many cryptocurrency players and holders are really looking forward for a bull run or a bullish market soon...what do you think?

It's all due to the massive bull run that started at the end of 2017. The upshot is that no-one really has a great deal of confidence about where prices should be, and what is reasonable. There are indications that the market is settling down now though, it has double-bottomed around $250 billion, which suggests a lot of resistance to further drops around that point... which in turns suggests the market is readying for another bull run. Chances are that it won't be back up to the heights seen in early Jan, as people will get wary of another big sell off. What we need now is slow and steady increases, interspersed with periods of leveling off and consolidation. That is the sort of behaviour that creates confidence and leads to long term growth.
4722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Right time to buy cryptos ? on: July 05, 2018, 12:35:35 PM
The leader of a crypto-currencies investment fund suggests that digital assets — including Bitcoin — are now being purchased while they are still cheap..
   What do you think ??

Now does seem to be a good time to buy. Based on patterns so far this year, it does look as though the dip has levelled off and the recovery has started, and that prices are now going to rise again.
4723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have a bad feeling about this rally! on: July 04, 2018, 01:21:17 PM
I am quite happy at the moment. When we've had long periods of price drops, for me the most important thing is where the drops stop and we hit solid ground. Look at the huge drop earlier this year, and then look at the recent drop. Both seem to have hit solid ground at or around $250 bilion (whole market). There is a lot of resistance to further drops, and this builds confidence. This is a good indicator that prices won't drop much below $250b. And the establishing of a solid base means that the market can then rise with confidence.
4724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2000 Ripple or 5000 Сardano? on: July 04, 2018, 12:58:30 PM
I want to give a friend a cryptocurrency for his birthday, but I can't decide which one is better. I have 5000 cardano and 2000 ripple. Tell me that it is better to leave to keep?

It's a bit late to reply a month and a half after the original post, but this sort of 'should I keep (or buy, or sell) coin A or coin B' question comes up a lot. I think in general a good answer is to have some of both. If you like both coins, it makes sense to reduce your risk in this way instead of staking everything on a single coin.
4725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does crypto bring more risk than benefit? on: July 04, 2018, 12:42:18 PM
For the individual buying in, then crypto at the moment does represent a big risk, but also the possibility of big reward.
I think risk becomes much lower if you take a long-term holder's perspective, holding the high cap coins (BTC, ETH, XRP, and so on).

For society at large, crypto offers a huge possibility of improvements. I think crypto involvement in everyone's day-to-day life is an inevitability. It will certainly bring efficiency improvements, but as to negative aspects (automation putting people out of jobs and so on), it is maybe too early to say.
4726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Cardano Price Reach $ 10 in 5 Years? on: July 04, 2018, 12:26:20 PM
Fro Cardano to hit $10, that would be 67x current price. Assuming the whole market grew at the same amount, that would be about $18 trillion for all of crypto. I don't think anyone really has any idea whether or not that is reasonable. We are really into uncharted territory with crypto, as it has the potential to transform the whole economy.
4727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do you guys pay Taxes for profit? on: July 03, 2018, 11:23:20 AM
Hi.

i didn't traded so much of my crypto for FIAT so i didn't dealt with that question yet.

however i think it's an issue need to be dealt with.

1. do you use accounting services?
2.if so, do you keep documentation of all traded or bought coins?
3. what do you do in cases of profit from ICO's

WHAT SHOULD I DO??

Yes, I pay tax. Laws will vary depending on where you are in the world, but it is important to follow the rules and pay any taxes due. It is naive to think that crypto is anonymous and the authorities will never catch you.

In the UK, one thing that people may not realise is that crypto-to-crypto trades are taxable events, it's not just crypto-to-fiat. You do get a tax-free allowance under capital gains of around £11k per year, so if you are only dealing in small amounts then you are probably okay. It's always best to get professional advice though.
4728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 500$ investment on altcoin on: July 03, 2018, 07:30:33 AM
I want to invest 500$ on altcoin but I really confused on which coin I can invest and my investment will be long term. Please experts help me to choose altcoin to invest.

It depends on how much risk you want to take. Good long term bets tend to be those coins that already have a high cap and are well established, like Ethereum. We all have our own opinions, but if you're only going to buy into one coin, then I would definitely choose a smart contract platform. So ETH, NEO etc. Smart contracts will surely be a huge part of everyday life in the not too distant future.
4729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dead cat bounce in progress! on: July 03, 2018, 07:15:02 AM
I think that a big reason for the current bounce is that we were testing the resistance point at around $250 billion (whole market), which was the bottom established in the big drop earlier this year. $250b is where we stopped falling, and rose back to high $400b. The fall from that point has bounced back again at roughly the same place, a bit below $250b. When you bounce back twice from the same place, it shows there is strength there. I don't think there's much chance of drops past that point now.
4730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ripple Going To Reach 10,000$ By 2020? on: June 27, 2018, 09:07:24 AM
There are few certainties in crypto, but I can confidently say that $10,000 per XRP is never going to happen.
You always have to look at the price of an individual coin in relation to the supply of coins, i.e. the market cap.
With XRP priced at under $1 per coin, the market cap is still tens of billions of dollars.
If XRP rose to $10,000 per coin, that would be a market cap of hundreds of trillions of dollars.
4731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This dip is great! on: June 27, 2018, 07:53:49 AM
While every one is in a panic, remember this is the best time to get some bargains, we're down under 300 billion total cap which opens things up again.

I've just reinvested in to PRL again at 2910 SAT, insane value.

What's every one else buying? suggest your best buys.

It is indeed a good time to pick up cheap coins. I would recommend the usual solid, high-cap projects. But one thing to note is that often in previous dips, the coins that fell hardest also recover quickest, so that might be something to bear in mind.
4732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Regretting Buying Coins of others Choice on: June 26, 2018, 12:01:17 PM
I do think that most people give genuine advice. The problem is that everyone has their own favourite coins, and will recommend them. And often the reason that a coin is someone's favourite is that the price has gone up whilst they have held it. And obviously if a coin has risen substantially in the past, that is not a reliable indicator that it will rise again in future, or that now is a good time to buy in.

It does always come down to DYOR.
4733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Unpaid bounty on: June 26, 2018, 09:54:34 AM
When you have followed some bounty then at the end of the bounty they promise to distribute their tokens based on the time they have specified. But in fact, after waiting some time token not sent. What's worse, it turns out bounty that we have followed is a scam.
How do you deal with this while your time has gone to work on bounty to promote their projects.

If it is really a scam, then you need to check what details you have given them and take any security precautions necessary.
If they just haven't paid the tokens, then often you are best contacting them in Telegram - I've found that often gives quickest responses to queries.

Really if they decide not to pay, there is nothing you can do except try to learn from it and take great care with the next bounty project you choose to follow.

You also have to bear in mind that sometimes a project fails to hit its soft cap at ICO. This means that they haven't made sufficient sales for the project to be viable. In this case no-one gets any coins because without any project they would be worthless.
4734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RIPPLE on: June 26, 2018, 08:37:30 AM
With ripple at the current price of 67c do you think its worth investing in it or not?

Do you belive it will increase in price in the near future?

The price has dipped further since that post, similarly to other coins.
Yes, I do think that XRP is a good buy. Ripple are doing really well, and I think they are closer than most crypto projects to actual real-world everyday use.
4735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Market revolves around Bitcoin pumps on: June 26, 2018, 08:15:36 AM
I think we probably all anticipated that prices would bounce back up around this point - it's the same point (around $240-250 billion for whole market) where we bounced back earlier this year after the big dip. There is a lot of resistance at that point. As for the reason, who knows? Certainly bitcoin movements can pull the whole market along with it though.
4736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I need to double 4,000 USD in 2 weeks on: June 26, 2018, 07:43:34 AM
Hi,

I will attempt this and I need to double 4,000 USD in 2 weeks

Any coin ‘suggestion’ ?

I know this is an old post, but it is always the same answer: you shouldn't set targets like this.
If you want to profit, then either buy good coins and hold them, or else trade as and when appropriate.
If you set yourself a target of increasing x times  in a fixed time span, then you are forcing yourself into taking unnecessary risks - you are essentially just gambling.
4737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Your predicts about BTC ETH XRP BCH DASH on: June 26, 2018, 07:16:05 AM
I'm very confident that BTC, ETH and XRP will all have large price increases.

BCH I don't like, I'm not convinced it has a real purpose. It has claimed advantages over BTC, but those advantages are bettered by other coins. I can't really see what BCH offers other than the bitcoin name.

Dash I don't know, could go either way.
4738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What should I buy in this dip on: June 25, 2018, 01:39:57 PM
ETH and NEO both look like bargains at the moment. I'm not sure about EOS, I still think it is overpriced and overhyped. Yes, maybe it will be a good project, but it is too early to tell yet. I would steer clear of the hyped stuff.
4739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is the bear season over yet on: June 25, 2018, 11:26:51 AM
We are starting to see a bounceback from about $240 billion whole market, which is similar to the bounceback from $250 b that we had earlier this year. This suggest to me that there is a lot of resistance around that level preventing further drops. Obviously it's all speculation, but I'd anticipate price rises in the coming days and weeks.
4740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will never join AirDrop programs any more on: June 21, 2018, 11:22:17 AM
It's true that a lot of airdrops are for only a few dollars. There are some that are better though. I would say don't just apply for every airdrop, but only go for those that look like a worthwhile project. Even if it means only a few dollars worth of tokens, if the project does well then that few dollars could easily multiply to a higher amount.
