4721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling or Casino gambling? on: February 24, 2020, 03:19:46 AM
I'm not inclined to use online sites but prefer the atmosphere of live Casinos.  I'm spoiled for choice with two Casino's very near where I live here in SEQ, but I can understand that there are many people who don't have this luxury.  (Besides, not just in Queensland, but most parts of Australia have slot machines tucked into every nook and cranny of clubs and pubs - a whole other thread surrounding their oversupply).

Well someone is holding a very hefty purse. BTC 12.03 is a cool $120,000 (about € 110,000 - more than enough Coke (a-cola) and hookers entertainment)
4723  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BPIP] Bitcointalk Public Information Project [Back in Action] on: February 24, 2020, 03:05:07 AM
A more accurate gauge of merits earned would be to utilise the methodology of how many unique times merit is earned, not totals received (regardless of starting amount).

A person who receives fifty unique merits of one merit each has earned far more than the next person who just once receives fifty merits.

Let that be your starting point.

That wallet address last received (very regular) deposits just two days ago.  Weird if the site's been offline for over a year.

I responded in the extension thread, sorry about the delays, we've been discussing 2 or 3 other things with ibminer over the last few days.

I would appreciate it if you could acknowledge receipt of my report of a glitch in BPIP as reported a couple of days ago:

...and just like that - this proto-gambling site has gone with the OP changing the title and body to "fixed" - Irony of ironies - "fixed" is an expression e.g. when a race has been "fixed".

The OP's only two other posts are to ask where to make investments on BitCoinTalk.
4727  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking for investors for a Gambling Project on: February 23, 2020, 07:10:41 AM
We have some ideas for the site, but if you're interested we can discuss that privately. And once you have a portion of the site you can suggest ideas for the site.

Contacting information
Discord: Bibu#0619 and OverRaz#2087

Why not post links to an actual discord or overraz site, not just your name people have to go looking for?

As to having a "portion of the site" does that mean you will only talk with people *after* they have coughed up funds to be a shareholder?  If so, what terms are you offering?  (and why talk privately about design concepts?
4728  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BPIP] Bitcointalk Public Information Project [Lack of Action] on: February 22, 2020, 08:58:29 AM
I love love love how the new DT inclusion log shows the strength after the action - keeping a log to show what actions precipitated the inclusion.

Could you please put back the actual number instead of having to hover for it?

Agreed - that would be a great re-addition.

Of all posts to copy you chose THE SPAMBUSTER GANG LEADER's post? LOL

Bye now.

Don't worry, I archived it...  Roll Eyes

How is the "most trusted" feature calculated?

My score dropped from 229 to 277 when just one of my positive trust feedbacks went from being DT1/2 to DT/??3/4??  (it's still there, just not a DT1/2 any-more). Have just noticed Hhampuz has drastically modified his trust list in the last couple of days, but still the question remains.

You can check which of your scores are dropping or who is above you.

Another glitch in your system: Vod, LoyceV, PrimeNumber7, suchmoon, ibminer, theymos and not forgetting iasenko

(117+152+277) = 546

546/3 = 182

1000 - 182 = 818 which would be 30th place - which is where I was until a week or thereabouts.

if we used the 227 value the end result would be 834 or ~24th place on most recognised.

There's definitely something not right with the calculations. (not on my end mind)
4729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crowded Casinos - Play or not? on: February 22, 2020, 06:35:19 AM
It would depend on the situation if I am all alone then I wouldn't play since I could attract so many people if I won a huge amount.
But if I have some friends with me then why not we could just enjoy in the same table to play.

Here in Australia we have a saying "We don't give a rats arse!" as in

"That guy won at the table over there!"

"So? I don't give a rats arse!"

People are more focused on their own wins or losses that they barely nod whenever someone wins, and I'm not quite sure how big you think "big" wins are.  Roulette "35 to one" is probably one of the more high paying games, but you've got to pour a lot of money in to break even or even win once in a while.
4730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For those who wear the signature of a gambling services' campaign. on: February 22, 2020, 06:24:24 AM
No.

I can't recall ever hearing that a signature campaign has any kind of incentive for campaigners to fold their money back into the service they are being paid to promote.

Please, read again, I just asked if you guys spend your money on the services that you are wearing on your signature (services of gambling, like 777coin, bitvest etc)

I didn't talk about any kind of incentive

Manners.

I answered your question.

No.

But at least I get to wear the signature for a second time in this thread.  Thanks for the response.  If you don't like the answer, then perhaps you shouldn't ask the question.

When was the last time you saw a thread (or even a single post) saying a merit source got it right?

No one will open thread just to say "thank you" but of course if you do something others don't like or accept, then you get all the hell over your head. Anyway, we should keep it that way as it is.
If you show a desire to be a merit source and bear all the responsibilities, others can support your application.
If you thinks someone is eligible for a merit source, then just PM him with a question if he wants to become one. It's very easy Smiley

Was that a threat?

I guess you never heard of the "Newbie of the Year award".

The taxes paid by NZ'ers should be used to pay back those who invested funds in a NZ company.

It doesn't work like that, if it did many many companies would just trade while insolvent as Crytopia did and expect the Government to wipe their bottom for them.

Quote
Also, I'm not getting emails about what the current state of what anything is.  I think I got one email in all this time.

Not many people are getting any emails concerning Cryptopia.  That's true.  Who's fault is that then?
4734  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: February 20, 2020, 11:31:39 PM
I think this case will reflect on how a lot of people around the world feel about New Zealand and its people.  I would like to see NZ pay the right people of the world back, making sure what money is left goes to the appropriate people.

You don't know much about businesses that have been placed in receivership - do you?

What is that supposed to mean?  Care to elaborate and not make personal statements about someone you know nothing about?

NZ law and those responsible for it is supposed to be overseeing how the remaining assets are paid back, correct?

I know it's taken you eight days to respond.  The New Zealand laws are very closely aligned with the Australian Laws (Hint: it's know as the Westminster System)  Both are Constitutional Monarchies.

A theft occurred and it is being investigated by the New Zealand Police.

The follow-on of the theft is that the company was trading while insolvent (i.e. they had no money) and so the company was placed into receivership.

All of which has been discussed here countless times while you have been away.

Do try to keep up.
4735  Other / Meta / Re: [LIST] Open Merit Source Applications... on: February 20, 2020, 11:17:38 AM
This basically the test of the will on how these candidates are really willing to voluntarily distribute merits to those who are deserving. IMO, if we nominate merit sources and these sources aren't really dedicated to help the forum group, them, becoming merit source will not be effective enough for the forum.

Thus, self nomination of the members who are truly passionate and dedicated to distribute merit is quite better. In addition, the other members could also provide their insights, supports to whoever will try to apply for becoming a merit source.

I've seen numerous threads debunking merit sources dishing upwards of fifty merits in one go.

When was the last time you saw a thread (or even a single post) saying a merit source got it right?
4736  Other / Meta / Re: [LIST] Open Merit Source Applications... on: February 20, 2020, 10:01:37 AM
Perhaps instead of candidates nominating themselves, we should have candidates who are nominated by others and also exhibit the capacity to be impartial when dispensing those merits.

Then again, we probably wouldn't have *any* merit sources if we had to wait that long such is the flawed system we currently have in place.
4737  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is this plagiarism? Nadziratel Vs belka48 (or are they alts?) on: February 20, 2020, 04:50:39 AM
The feedback timing in comparison to the the post's timing - that path is completely inconsequential. I don't think there's any use looking down this avenue.

On the thread, in essence, the question would be "is it only belka48 who is punished for plagiarism?"

I haven't looked into whether Nadziratel has copied anyone else's posts - but belka48 has certainly copied work.

Nadziratel posts this:

This is probably the most different ANN I've seen in this section. So you found an interesting way of advertising. A platform that teaches poker ... It's interesting.

belka48 posts this today:

So belka48 has copied verbatim Nadziratel's work.

There are only 15 posts made by belka48 with the most recent not turning up direct copies of other users, and with little else to go on it's hard to say they are alts.

Nadziratel's trust feedback page brings up a whole other issue surrounding copied work:

with whitemanwhite echoing kzv's post verbatim.  Both of their posts are just two days after Nadziratel posted the above quoted post.
4739  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blogabet tipsters group on: February 20, 2020, 01:10:23 AM
I hate to say it, but there's plenty of people here in BitCoinTalk that have threads for tipping and it doesn't cost a cent to join (except any any bets made).  Given your source material is all coming from the one website it's likely some are the same authors/tipsters.
4740  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BPIP] Bitcointalk Public Information Project [Back in Action] on: February 19, 2020, 09:35:11 AM
Thank you for your reply,

So you have the following formula:
Recognition = 1000 - ((Activity Rank + Trust Rank + Merit Rank) / 3).

In your case:  1000 - ((285 + 152 + 229) / 3) = 778

You can check which of your scores are dropping or who is above you.

Just a nit-picking bit of clarity, should that be

152, 229 then 285??

I think that was a part of a discussion I was reading with Vod trying to figure out formula.  I never ended up finding a similar formulae that was using square roots of values that'd been squared and added (multiplied) together.  It's a convoluted piece of formula and mostly works (never re-found it and put looking for it to one side)
