offcourse bitmain is going to release more miners they dont' care about miners only thing they care about is making money by selling there overpriced hardware. @ $2000 a pop

No Bitmain is trying to maintain a monopoly on gouging fees on Bitcoin. That is why they are trying to block any SegWit on Litecoin. Thus they will preannounce far in advance right now to try to make miners afraid to act.

Jilian Wu and BU are a diversionary tactic. What they really want is small blocks forever on Bitcoin and no scaling competition for Bitcoin.

Bitcoin can't move higher until this scaling shit is resolved. Jilian Wu is blocking the progress of our entire ecosystem. Please kick his ass by activating SegWit.

We are now 113 pages into this thread. I want to officially declare that Litecoin is not dead.

heh.....who's the OP on this thread...maybe we can bribe him with 'dead coin' LTC to change the name of the thread Smiley

Literally all ASIC are sold out right now. Pinidea, Baikal, L3 , ...

I happen to be looking. I've come across a couple a "smells like scams".

Ditto....

4724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin is the sleeping giant on: April 05, 2017, 05:21:02 AM
What would be the best move?

To buy script miners

Or

Use the money to buy ltc ?

I'd get more scrypt miners...but they are complete unicorn ghosts now...a friend has been looking all day...etc etc..the 'legit' places china/world etc all say SOLD OUT

ltc is your only shot now it seems....I mean folk are dusting off the A2's and Innsilicon 250mh and Alcheminer 250mh miners that use 2x the power of a KNC Titan

yet they are too making more then a KNC Titan at $4.15 usd 2 weeks ago!

....damn...and I almost sold my knc titan lot 2 or 3 months ago for 1k each (300mh version)

4725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin is the sleeping giant on: April 04, 2017, 04:21:41 PM
I hear all the bitmain L3's sold out yesterday in the world (or at least china sites) is that so Smiley I made my killing on those so fat and happy on my bet that
it shall hold over $6 ltc bet)

still stunned I am ($8.60 ltc as I speak)

later

Searing they didn't sell out they stopped selling them.. to mine them and they will show up on ebay with 50% premium from same chinese hardware sellers.

I stand corrected. Damn happy I got under the wire thru maxumark deals and hosting

4727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BAIKAL - WHAT IS GOING ON? on: April 04, 2017, 10:59:08 AM
I have talk with bikalminer on skype, they told me that the miner was available but when I try to but from http://www.baikalminer.com/ but I get out of stock message.

Is the bikalminer account on skype fake ?

Please let me know

thx

yeah there are a bunch of fake baikalminer sites on skype.

use the skype they have on their www page make them verify thru them ail from their to you they are still out i think thou...only order thru the legit web site!

edit: the regular english side of the site does not come up https:// secure in any way ..weird..just informed them ...that should not do that Smiley

I just got on ...no stock on the regular baikalminer site....they informed me weeks ago you are just supposed to lurk on the www site till (or if) they announce lol

Last week I finally got contact with Baikal via a Chinese chat. They are now on some Chinese holiday until April 5th. Anyway, they officially are sold out of A900's but will dispatch group orders of 35, possibly 30. A bit too rich for me but by the next day they said the batch was already taken anyway. They are bound to respond to an order of that size (or larger). If someone here is able to start a group-buy that's probably a way to go forward, I'm down for 5 of the units. PM me if you are able to administer a group-buy.

be careful see the posts above www.baikalsminers.com is a SCAM (note the s in baikal s miner.com) also of the 9 baikalminers on skype 8 are fake!

you want to contact www.baikalminer.com ...anytime I contact them on skype or email they just tell me no idea when/if another batch and to go away Sad

but with x11 prices dumping may happen

worked out for me missing the baikalminer's past group buy thou....got bitmain L3's instead...

(dumb and lucky my motto on how to go thru the crypto universe...I'm like a baby ..crawling down the freewary unharmed around the wrecks)  Smiley

4729  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 03, 2017, 09:38:24 AM
Well ...kinda on topic in that the last 2 years I've mined LTC to BTC.....now that is being tested let me tell you.....
If I continue to do so...really,really could be socking the old BTC away let me tell you Smiley But will hold LTC a bit
yet till I move to BTC....when it rains gold you turn your umbrella upside down and do not move till it is full Smiley

so fine..NOW if LTC as it has done in the past ...maybe this is a signal for folk to pump BTC price...well that also would be nice ...say $1,800 usd btc pump in the
same manner as LTC....ie prime each others crypto pump....

(hell as long as I prayed to the LTC asic gods when LTC was $4.15 usd and the ratio was .003 ltc to btc .what the heck ..I'll try it here too)

but damn.....never figured unicorn prayers falling from the sky actually will work (will now try same for btc price)

sheesh.... (crypto what a silly hobby)

4730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where is everyone? on: April 03, 2017, 08:56:27 AM
remember not so long ago bitcointalk was filled with altcoins shills who wanted to replace bitcoin?  Cheesy
now where are they?

i tell you where, getting dumped hard and prices fall like a stone.
Dash: gone down -60%
ETH: gone down -40%

the dump is real now, everyone else who didn't beieve it is now getting crushed under the whales of these coins who pumped them and now are existing.

and all the while, bitcoin has been getting stronger and stronger. and now bitcoin is back on track as we have all expected it to.

stop listening to the lies told by altcoin pumpers and stick to bitcoin.

heh....well LTC is UNDERvalued imho..so lets say we meet in the middle at $10 LTC?  (at 4000mh of pow scrypt ltc mining works for me)

Anyway following your logic...LTC would be the flip side of your pump side Smiley

(unicorns falling from the sky...LTC at $8.66 wtf) Smiley

4731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hacking KNC Neptune / Jupiter / Titan miners back to life. Why not? on: April 03, 2017, 05:44:21 AM
I shut it down and swapped data cables and at first it seemed to be doing like it supposed to but after it ran for a few minutes it started acting up again until it is unresponsive.

So as it heats up it dies.

Edit:

More errors for asic 3:
i2c_smbus_read_word_data failed: addr 0x21
i2c_smbus_read_word_data failed: addr 0x21
i2c_smbus_read_word_data failed: addr 0x21
FPGA I2C error: read data 0xFFFFFFFF (expected 0x3C) from reg 113:3

Edit2:

Im suspecting its the #3 port on the controller board with the FPGA error, so I just swapped the #3 asic and data cable to the #4 header on the controller board and letting it run.

Edit3: Its been running fine on the other header so yep its the controller board.  Sad

Need to take it out and see if I can repair it by adding a header to one of the empty spots on the controller board.

Edit4: So it looks like three boards are good to go and one has a bad asic chip or a couple of bad dc/dc converters, not going to worry about that, and a bad port on the controller board and in pretty sure I can fix that.

I'd repaste the unit with gelin extreme thermal past if I was you...just to be safe (and have fun....you can pray a new sha-256 coin will come and save you ..lol)

Also not you can use the LCD port I think on Jupiters? also? I think the LCD port is there even if never used as such?

need clarification on this...so you may have a spare port Smiley

4733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Segwit at 50% by time of writing on: April 02, 2017, 03:49:26 PM
0.25 btc is plausible the way btc is heading  Kiss

lol i can't see how 0.25 is feasible when no other coins ever went that high, litecoin will not be the first, litecoin is all hype for nothing, just a pump and dump, the creator of litecoin also admit that his coin is a shitcoin, without any real usage, why a shitcoin should go to 0.25? segwit will only be good for another pump and dump pretty much like the last halving

Making 4K profit a month at this $7.95 ltc price mining. Sure is nice everyone lost
Track of this coin. Thanks for the past fud

Be sure to make it so the LCD says LIGHTFOOT BBB mod...(would not want to mix up controllers......and intermingle with them 'evil knc PI boards) Smiley

Hm....just got 3 pi qberty boards fixed ....and got 3 neppie cards coming with BBB ..crap...I should now get more Smiley
That's why these light up blue, not green. My comments and such are on the main status page.

C

Er ...confused...unfamilar with 'main status page' and/or if you are gonna brand the LCD with your name version like

Lightfoot BBB ver 1.00 (or some such)

300mh

that kinda thing (point me to the link or post for clarity...thanks)

edit $7.85 LTC what I feel like now Smiley Just love watching it go up Smiley

lol Smiley

Pump LTC Pump......the evil KNC Titans need Bitmain's for company!

4736  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Unlimited v/s SegWit on: April 02, 2017, 10:29:51 AM
I really hope that bitcoin does not fork. A hardfork is just not needed at this time (and it is very risky). Its better to implement Segwit with Lightning first. If later it becomes necessary, a hardfork (BU) can always be implemented.

Still think the BU folk.... should just accept Seg Wit...up to this point anyway....see how it goes.....THEN make the case once that is done. Less risky then a hard fork and would show at least one camp acting like an adult imho.

unlikely but a guy can hope...

But for the same reason I would love to keep my heavy weight transactions off the grid.

Then we need a middle ground. Perhaps sandwich purchases are the sweet spot so our descendants can check what we ate. Everything above or below that needs to be in the dark.

porn..who had the best porn seaches of the 21st century on the bockchain.....hell ...may as well in that the Congress just allowed ISP's to sell our individual search info

(soo...doomed.....all them "lonely babysitter sites" (so...ashamed..not really but now that they can read my searches ...time to fake being contrite) Sad

4738  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Scrypt Miner on: April 02, 2017, 10:22:33 AM
Interested in buying A4 Dominators or Antminer L3

Let me know how many you have and the price you want

Best deal I know of..I"m hosting 3 L3's now from this buy...I've been hosting with him 6 titans for past year. I can escrow as well (assuming you like my trust)

best deal is the hosting imho in that he will cover hash if your bitmain L3 has to take a trip to china to get fixed ...lol Smiley

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1734098.msg18424736#msg18424736

Anyway about 1/2 are gone ....he is selling the last of these at the same price as when LTC was 4.15 usd...just to get the word out

his next batches will likley be more and take a month..why i grab'd some

later

also sent you a pm

4739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer L3 - 250mh - 400watt Scrypt miner coming soon on: April 02, 2017, 08:43:37 AM
After 2 months of mining the most time the L3 worked without faults, just one time it dropped 1 hasboard but after the reboot it came back for regular hashing. Few days ago the miner crashed and when I checked the miner status I noticed that the board2 loss 4 asic chips, and I was surprised that this was not hashboard3 that always generated a lot of HW errors. At this time I can't get 4 asic chip to come back up even after the reboot. I contacted Bitmain and they confirmed that the repair cost is around 35 USD for each board without warranty, plus shipping cost. I'm going to create a repair ticket and ship the hashboard back. I just hope to get help from Deep In The Mines to create a return label with their discounted shipping rate.
I noticed that the hardware defects are starting to appear after two months of use and the example is my L3 and two L3 from Longsnow.
Anyone minnig more than 2 months without serious issue?

This is exactly why I posted my saga on the L3's here.  My L3's ran fine for a while also.  But just like the S9/R4/T9's they almost always seem to start off working just fine.  Then the problems start.  So that is why I hoped to share this wisdom with people here about the L3's and to be aware that the same issues that Bitmain has with their other miners are here on the L3 also.  They just don't make a reliable miner.

However warning people isn't enough because everyone thinks that "accidents" and "problems" happen to other people.  So we continue to buy this junk thinking it won't happen to us.  The cost of shipping unless you get lucky to have someone help you like "@Deep In The Mines" to let you print a shipping label with him will cost you a fortune even if the board repair cost is reasonable.

Next problem is that when you ship back to them it goes to a Hong Kong address.  From there once they get it they told me it can take 5-10 days for it to be shipped to China and processed through customs.  Then the repair can take place.  No estimate on that time required.  Or the shipment time to get it back.  So at this point I think I am probably being very conservative when I say it will likely be at LEAST 1 month before this is all done and the board is back.  Sadly I have 1 hash board out for repair and one controller/io board out for repair.   Just waiting for the next board to bite the dust while I am waiting on the stuff I have already shipped to get shuffled around, fixed, and sent back.

So I know I am probably wasting time sharing this experience with people, but hopefully it will help a few people who will take heed.  Until these miners are sold in other markets and you have someone like "BitmainWarranty" doing repairs locally the time to get a board repaired is very long and the cost is high.  Even with local repair the cost is still high.  So take it for what it is worth.

I won't be in a hurry to buy more L3's and certainly NOT the L3+.

maxumark has a hosting plan and L3 ON HAND (you pay $2550 (100 bucks off thru monday 4/3/17) its the works. Also includes REPLACEMENT hash if you L3 decides it needs
to take a trip back to china...I've been hosting with him for a year.....er he also includes the PSU in above and again elec and everything for the year price (best plan)

He may only have 10 or so in house.....for purchase or the hosting plan.....just saying

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1802108.0

Anyway ...I've been hosting with him for almost a year and the last of my knc titans are going there..I"ve just grabbed 3 of these deals. We will see chump or champ
easy to be brave at 10c kwh on such deal (not like some of you guys with 5c kwh prices) and current $7.36 usd priced LTC Smiley

anyway asic gambling again...the bitmain L3 may die like it has for others...but with the hosting.....while it vacations in china ...i'm covered.....

again for you guys with  (pretty) 5c kwh this does not mean much...for me who has current (heated house) winter elec rate of 10c kwh and going in a month to 13c kwh
this was pretty much a no brainer gamble for me

I also have been to his house...had my stuff hosted with him for a year....all my 3800mh of pow scrypt will be in the data hall soon....talk to him 2x a week and I will act as 'escrow' if need be....others on here know he is legit...again this is the same price dealhe had at 4.15 usd LTC..just a moving them out at the same price to get the word out he is legit and will be continuing to offer as best a deal he can in the future..again going fast I'd bet half he has are gone already ..either sold or hosted Smiley

we will see.....chump or champ indeed...asic gambling again...off the frigging wagon Smiley
