Correct me if wrong but doesn't specifying less width and height does the same thing? Ie. Use less data?
4742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty alone is not enough on: August 07, 2020, 03:42:04 AM
I feel the only worthy bounty that helps project is content creation, other than that everything else is just 0 worth.

Also, BMs should have strict guidelines and only accept worthy content. Many just copy paste from wp and what not.
So you also thought the signature campaign was meaningless? The signature campaign also attracts investors because some investors also come from the people who are here. yes managers have to make strict rules for content campaigns as many of them are just copy-paste

I should of been more clearer with my words, other bounties do have some good effect in them, but a quality content benefits far outweighs them.
4743  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why there are too many topics related to Crypto Scams here? on: August 06, 2020, 06:52:51 AM
Lol, I kinda feel same way for this sub.
4744  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Earn Cryptocurrency on: August 06, 2020, 06:49:16 AM
You may give try to social blogging sites like steem and hive (https://hive.blog), they can give you a good headstart in earning cryptocurrency.

Before you write anything, make sure to make engage with people there, otherwise no one will be there to read your article/art even though it may be a quality one.
4745  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware there is fake Trustwallet App circulating on Playstore! on: August 06, 2020, 06:39:42 AM
Why this fake app mostly appear in google play store  (or I better say Android), but not on Apple Store (iOS)?
Isn't it an indicator to switch to iOS or that this OS is more secured? Trustwallet fake app appeared yesterday, few weeks ago fake Ledger app sneaker from google security. Experience of participating in bounties show that projects often ask to install their wallet, created for Android (iOS users must always wait for a release). I'm not trying to start android/ios war here, but for me, it looks like using iOS devices are a little bit more safe than android.

If any dev sends their app to app store it goes through quality checks before going public. This verification is reason why there are less amount of apps available on iOS store compared to Google play. Also, to send app to Google play, devs has to pay 20$ fee while iOS has $100.

IOS is more secure than android in terms of security, there is no doubt about that.
4746  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Actual Blockchain Games on: August 06, 2020, 06:34:17 AM
I play dcity on hive blockchain. It's like real world city simulator. You optimize it, earn daily income in form of hive and sim (which can be traded in hive-engine for hive or other tokens).

It's not time consuming and you only need to check every once in a while.
4747  Other / Meta / Re: Can hCaptcha be used to replace ReCAPTCHA at BitcoinTalk? on: August 06, 2020, 06:26:05 AM
As they always give images cropped from different positions, doesn't that mean they could give us 9 squares and depending on which one we click, the AI understands which part exactly of the picture contains the target object? Some squares contain only a very small part of the object or none.

There were times when they asked me to select a "bicycle" when the whole canvas showed a motorcycle instead.

It's deliberate afaik, it says somewhere that if no matching found, click skip button and you will get access to whatever you were trying to access.

4748  Other / Meta / Re: Protecting Your Account on: August 04, 2020, 05:06:32 AM
Although, hidden email address helps to certain extent. The security to your email itself matters more. 2fa, strong password and try not to link mobile number to it. Sim jacking is very real.
4749  Other / Meta / Re: Double posting of a thread on: August 04, 2020, 04:52:52 AM
I have got my topics deleted reason being similar topic was made year prior and discussion should be kept there. Same thing here, why create two topics and break discussion between two?

One of them should be deleted, no matter the how important subject is.
4750  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what did the author mean? on: August 03, 2020, 03:15:26 AM
MA is abbreviation of Moving Average which is used in technical analysis, and the author only gave his opinion on how to trade using that indicator. Since I'm not a crypto trader, and obviously neither are you - it might be best to read the following article. I think some things might be a little clearer to you, but don't expect to be able to get rich just by trading in shitcoins - there are more who lose everything they have than those who can say for themselves that they are successful at it.

https://www.investopedia.com/articles/technical/052201.asp

That's quite true but you never go into shitcoins with both feet that you lose everything.
4751  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Faucets - Do people still use it, and are they worthwhile? on: August 03, 2020, 03:12:55 AM
I used them back when I was new in crypto, recently checked my blockchain.info wallet and had collected about $30 (at current rate). I did those faucets in 2015. Imo they are not worth your time, they are tedious and give pennies, you could be using that time elsewhere.
4752  Other / Meta / Re: Huge donations to bitcointalk on: August 02, 2020, 04:19:13 AM
Pretty irrelavant but I'm curious if donators ever regret the amount they donated like for example, someone donated 100 btc at few dollars per BTC in 2011 but now it's worth a million!!!
4753  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥Btcoin.bet🔥 | 🎫Big prizes every 10 minutes 🎫 | 🎲Bitcon hash fair lottery🎲 on: August 02, 2020, 04:05:57 AM
Registration system needs a rework, I'm trying to register and it keeps saying me wrong email format. First I used protonmail address and thought it could be problem as it's not widely used but then same thing with gmail as well.
4754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction was faster than a Bank transfer today (for me) on: August 01, 2020, 11:53:17 AM
Bank transfers are instant in my country plus free. So there is that. Bitcoin/crypto is much better option for cross border transfers, much less fee and faster transaction and also less legal hassle.
4755  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Tip]: Anti-Phishing Apps or extensions on: August 01, 2020, 11:32:46 AM
Most of this rely on third party lists or similar, they might help somewhat but they are never up to date. New phishing sites come up and go daily. Using your own judgement could be better than using extensions imo. I also agree with top comment, extensions can do you more harm than good.

I deposited some ether around half hour ago, 90+ confirmations it still doesn't show anything neither in pending, what's up?

Edit: nvm, it's showing up now

@TeraBite you seem to be making fuss out of nothing. My comment was mere remark related to op's avatar. Nothing more.
4758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: July 28, 2020, 03:58:59 AM
The avatar op is wearing is better than one given to bounty participants Tongue
4759  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A trap of how newbies get scammed on: July 28, 2020, 03:55:46 AM
Idk why but most of these scamming schemes have broken English, it's biggest red flag one can have.
4760  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ponzi Schemes for dummies on: July 27, 2020, 04:48:23 AM
Oh so it's because of Charles ponzi, I always wondered from where 'ponzi scheme' came from.
