4741  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anonymity VS tracing transactions. on: October 18, 2019, 03:01:39 PM
I think anonymity in the lives of human being is a myth altogether. We don't have any anonymity in our lives and we won't even have it anywhere in the near future. Since forever governments are tracing us maybe for the good. I mean I am not against Bitcoin but think of it practically if there is a big nuclear blast deal which takes place in Bitcoin as a means of payment. Such a thing  can be untraceable for authorities therefore if over looked can be executed which poses a serious threat to national security. I think if there is complete anonymity every psycho fanatic would be doing whatever he likes with the world which is not only weird but also too dangerous.

People stay anonymous for different reasons. It either for right or wrong reasons or for no reason at all. If anonymity wasn't necessary, both good and bad people would not have tolerated it. There is definitely reasons why many sane minds would want to be anonymous.

If you want the desires by people for anonymity to vanish completely, let secrecy and evil vanish completely. Nothing on earth should ever be a secret. And evil should never exists.

4742  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat Money Losing Worth, Bitcoin and Gold Getting Important on: October 18, 2019, 12:42:09 PM
Still to early to speak about FIAT vs CRYPTOCURRENCIES but one thing is for sure,  cryptos are getting more and more attention and fiat is not necessary loosing value and most likely the inflation is too big and it started to feel in every domain. Gold is fine, it will always be fine so I wouldn't worry a bit about gold as its place in economy cannot be damaged no matter what.

About recession , the global charts indicate we are at the start on a new one ...so we'll have to wait and see what will happen...

If a serious global collapse happens, things like gold, silver will likely lose value unless their prices are artificially controlled.
Imagine a global collapse in a very isolated area , go to that area and trying giving them some metals like gold or silver. If  they like the gold/silver, they could price it way below the real international price. This things are not what they need in such situation. Guess what they will value and price very high? Things they desperately need to relieve themselves from their condition.

Gold will only do well if the collapse is isolated and if the community where a collapse happens have zero access to to the rest of the world.

4743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Half of the airport’s workstations infected with a crypto mining software on: October 18, 2019, 10:36:12 AM
If this is true it most likely they are used for mining Altcoins (and not really Bitcoin), especially those with low mining difficulty unless the virus is mining on many global computers. It also depends on how powerful the airport computers are, which could make mining Bitcoin profitable.
It's possible that hackers create new Altcoins and get as many global computers as possible to mine them.?
4744  Economy / Economics / Re: Paper Bitcoin eth, ltc and others on: October 18, 2019, 09:00:53 AM
Nope.

A physical manifestation means that someone had to physically create it which means they had access to the private keys which means you have to trust whoever came up with them. That defeats the entire point.

Bitcoin owners should actually print the paper themselves. You made a good point though. I guess your point should serve as warning to those who would allow other people to print the bitcoin for them. I also think it should be possible in the future for another person to print out bitcoin without ever knowing or revealing the private keys. If the private keys are seen, the paper becomes useless. Someone could create devices that print without ever revealing the private keys.
4745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have a $ 500 fund you want to make a profit on: October 18, 2019, 07:43:30 AM
I have $ 500 or more, is that enough to invest or trade daily ??  Do I need to buy cheap coins or expensive coins?  I want your opinion for me as a newbie.

$500 is more than enough in my opinion. If you can afford to risk that in trading then fine. Don't trade with money you can't afford to lose.
Have you learned how to trade cryptocurrency? I will suggest you learn to trade first. There are lots of good tutorials on cryptocurrency trading on youtube. If you prefer  reading then I would suggest you google "best Cryptocurrency trading ebooks"

4746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Popularity of BITCOIN on Twitter Declining? on: October 18, 2019, 06:57:25 AM
The trend kind of reflects the past prices of Bitcoin. Look at January 2017 to January 2018., i don't remember in detail how price activities behaved around that period but I remember that was the bullish period. The price of Bitcoin rose around April hence the visible spike.
There are other factors that are probably responsible for this I wouldn't want to go into. Your bounty theory makes sense though
4747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Earning crypto on games - are you serious? on: October 17, 2019, 04:43:09 PM
I'm seeing a lot of posts and top-lists with the best crypto games lately. At the moment there’s a huge selection of crypto games online starting from simple casino slots and finishing by shooters, 3D action, and exploration games. I see a lot of promos, articles, etc, but I never heard of the efficiency of those games for their users. Take this top-5 for example. Does anyone even play it? Are you doing it for fun, or is it really a profitable way of earning crypto?

How relevant are blockchain games and is it possible to make any profit on them? By 'making any profit' I mean an alternative to trading, mining, etc.
Share your experience.

There are few "Blockchain" games that reward players in cryptocoins, example of such games is https://bitracer.io/  but am not sure if you can earn much from playing the game unless you're lucky and win something.
I haven't tried any Blockchain games before though.  I would suggest you ask this question on gambling discussion section. You could get a better answer there.
4748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: blockchain water purifier? earn tokens from you appliances on: October 17, 2019, 03:34:37 PM
According to the article, the Blockchain water purifier will have a node, wallet, and inbuilt internet?
I was searching through the article to find detailed information about the water purifier but didn't find much.
I wonder if the company is going to charge the owners in Blockchain coin while the water is purifying. Would it be deflationary or stablecoin? I guess it could work if the company only accepts its cryptocurrency. This will encourage the consumers to buy the coin and would be good for price.
4749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Day Trading or Long-term Hodl? on: October 17, 2019, 01:40:13 PM
Before now, I have always been getting it wrong about cryptocurrency. A friend recently opened my eyes to see how I could have increase little coins I have to fortune overtime by day-trading. But I am no that type. I had always thought I could only make fortune in crypto by hodling a certain coin for long.

13 months ago, I bought SNTR worth about $100 hoping that in few months I'll wallow in milliions of dollars like Ian Balina , but the reverse is often the case in the subsequent ones I bought. Sad fact, $100 worth of SNTR 13 months ago now less than $2.

Recently, I watched several videos of how to analyse a coin or token to invest in, gained some good knowledge of the basics. I discovered day-trading tokens like DX token and Atomic wallet (AWC) could have actually make me what I hope to be If i had the right information. But its never too late. Yet, I am drowned in mentality that hodling for long can only be the fortune I hope for. Reason I need help.

Holding doesn't work too well these days. You should probably focus on holding few top cryptocurrencies especially Bitcoin.
SNTR is SilentNotary, right? I guess it's currently abondoned as it's worth almost nothing on coinmarketcap. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/silent-notary/
4750  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you think about KickEx? on: October 17, 2019, 01:03:23 PM
OK,. According to the exchange websites www.kickex.com, kickex has the most profitable referral program. Is this why you like the exchange?
Well, in my opinion, just focus on established exchanges and leave new ones until you become grounded in Crypto trading world. I have heard of lots of new exchanges luring inexperienced traders to deposit Bitcoin and once Bitcoin is deposited the traders never gets it back.
4751  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: VinDAX is number 1 exchange on coinmarketcap on: October 17, 2019, 10:28:44 AM
Check cmc exchange vindax is n1, fee is only 0.05, less than any other exchange in the world, dont tell me they have fake vol bcz all exchange in the world have fake vol, binance, biki, kiki, I only want to know is Vindax safe?

0.05 in what currency exactly? 0.05 cents/dollars, btc or its native coin? The fee is quite tiny if calculated in dollars.

It's a strange exchange but probably not fake.
Guess you mean this: https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/vindax/
This is my first time of hearing about the coin. It's probably connected to Tron? https://mobile.twitter.com/VinDAXOfficial/media/grid?idx=0 It is not a decentralized exchange though
4752  Economy / Economics / Re: The 2nd generation of banking is going digital on: October 17, 2019, 09:00:15 AM
Or you can simply choose Bitcoin and be your own bank.
We cannot afford to recreate the physical bank on online world. That would be "out of the frying pan into the fire" kind of situation.
The whole thing could be optional. Those that prefer to be their own bank should be allowed to be their own. Those that prefer to have their fund in banks should be allowed to have their fund in banks.
4753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why not use Exchange instead of Mixer? on: October 17, 2019, 07:57:05 AM
So, Mixers provide service of shuffling bitcoins or provide addresses loaded with bitcoins along with private keys. In short, they provide service so to create anonymity between sender's and receiver's address so that no one can trace the transaction.
My question is why not use Exchanges? When we deposit funds on exchange, bitcoins get deposited on exchange's cold wallet. But when we withdraw funds, withdraw gets processed from exchange's hot wallet. So in short, it is very easy to do anonymous transfer by depositing funds on exchange and withdrawing to other addresses. Why to pay 1-3% fees on Mixers when it could be done for much less on Exchanges. Exchanges like Binance charge just 0.0005 BTC to process withdrawals.

Well, it depends on the exchanges and the size of fund. People who prefer privacy will generally avoid the exchanges due to kyc and withdrawal limits. There is also the risk of fund being seized by the exchanges. It's quite hard to recover fund seized by exchanges that do not exist in ones country
4754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China Creates Currency to Cancel-out Cryptocurrency on: October 17, 2019, 07:01:03 AM
that's totally different thing!

I'm from China and I know that !  Every country has their own policy on the crypto-currency, and the Chinese government don't support crypto-currency,  just like the gambling is illegal here too (Macao is special cos the historical reason) !

but they will use the new blockchain technology to rebuild the current bank transaction system, to make it faster, and more efficient!

That's not crypto-currency, it's centrallized digital-currency, all controlled by government!

The currency (if it really exists) its still fiat currency. probably digital fiat currency.

How is cryptocurrency used over there? Do people really still use cryptocurrencies in the  country? Has anyone been sent to jail for using cryptocurrency?

Not sure gambling is totally illegal over there. Lottery is gambling too: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambling_in_China
4755  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exaggerating portfolio returns on: October 16, 2019, 06:25:48 PM
Why not just be honest with them? How will slightly exaggerating your figure improve your CV?
It's likely they will ask for the proof, and what if they contact the exchange directly about your trading records? And if the records have been truely deleted, they could ask when they were deleted.

Three months return of 130% is about 40% monthly. That is a fair achievement if you ask me
4756  Economy / Economics / Re: Central Bank: If The Entire System Collapses, Gold Will Be Needed To Start Over on: October 16, 2019, 02:51:07 PM
Quote
"A bar of gold retains its value, even in times of crisis. This makes it the opposite of "shares, bonds and other securities" all of which have inherent risk and prices can go down.

Can a bar of gold still retain its value in a prolonged global financial crisis or global disaster? I have my doubts.
Any wise person will stockpile other things like foods (with long-shelf life Ofcourse), small torch, batteries, herbs, etc. They will be in great demand if crisis is in global scale. Bitcoin/cryptocurrencies could be good way to store value if internet isn't affected.
Hopefully it won't be a global thing.
4757  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: USER FORGETS BITCOIN WALLET PASSWORD, FUND TRAPPED. NEED HELP. on: October 16, 2019, 01:34:34 PM
Hello guys,

Someone I have been trying to help recover his bitcoin said he can't remember his password to the popular blockchain .com wallet anymore, he still has the Login ID, and his email is intact. One mistake he did however is that: he didn't write down the recovery phrase of the wallet, he doesn't know recovery phrase exist till I told him today. I have asked him to use the last password he can remember, he can't login still.

He gave me his wallet address: 16gRbtQRWTxcMNavjVA1cMWemdELneELHB
He said he received some fund yesterday.

So don't know if we have anyone trusted person that can help him recover his fund through his wallet login ID and the registered email

He said he has about $1200 as a total balance. I have try to use bitref.com in analyzing the wallet, maybe I didn't see it clearly.

Any suggestion for a trusted helper or a way out is welcome, Thanks.

There is no Bitcoin in that address.
* RECEIVED
0.040974 BTC
* SENT
0.040974 BTC
* BALANCE
0.0 BTC

Check the address again to make sure it's the right address or your friend probably don't remember he has already spent the coins.

Check out the balance here: https://live.blockcypher.com/btc/address/16gRbtQRWTxcMNavjVA1cMWemdELneELHB/
4758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I just SOLD my girlfriends car to buy more ETH at sale price :) on: October 16, 2019, 01:12:33 PM
I bet Op would not dare sell his expensive/valuable stuff for any kind of coins or other kinds of investments . He obviously didn't like his friend very much otherwise he wouldn't have gone to this extent. Well I guess he bought the car for her when he made alot money.

Not a good idea to take that kind of risk unless you are willing to lose everything. Besides, you should have invested that in better coins like Bitcoin.

4759  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: In case you care about 0% trading fees on: October 16, 2019, 12:22:47 PM
Interesting. This is probably better than charging fees per trade. I believe few exchanges already offer the 0% fee trading though.
I guess you and other exchanges could make it optional. Traders should be able to choose whether to use 0% fee (monthly charges) or charge per trade. Or do you already have this as option.
4760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will XRP Claim the #2 Position? on: October 16, 2019, 11:01:50 AM
To the ongoing Bull trend of Ripple (XRP), It is likely to gain 90% more to the current price of $0.2897 USD, with 0.00003475 BTC in terms of Bitcoins. XRP is more likely to push upwards and predicted to beat Ethereum to take its place and be ranked #2 in the cryptocurrency market.

XRP has a market cap of $12,517,129,114 USD with total supply of 99,991,330,383 XRP. The return on investment (ROI) for Ripple has stood at a whopping 4,836.66%. XRP has gained a total of 28% since the end of September and is residing in its trade beneath Ethereum.

Seems you are trying to shill one of your favorite coins. I have seen quite a number of people  shilling this and some other coins few days ago. Well, I guess all that should matter most to people is their usability and how decentralized they are and not to climb to the number two spot on coinmarketcap
