you should face the obvious reality, bitcoin and you wont become the worlds monpolistic and enslaving cryptocurrency, which centeres 90% of the worlds electricity production on itself

you will become just a pow sect that encripts an internet blockchain.

4742  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CoinCheckUp.com - Cryptocoin Analysis & Investment Stats on: July 27, 2018, 02:06:43 PM
Hello everyone.

I am one of the co-founders of https://CoinCheckUp.com and would love sincere and constructive criticism about the website.

TL;DR: There's a large number of cryptos and ICOs out there but it's difficult to gauge their quality and potential, so we've started this project at our own personal expense, including the web development, hosting and individual researchers to find and key data into our system. Hopefully over time we get enough traction to be able to pull the proverbial sleeves of the people behind ICOs and help them do a better job being transparent and doing a good job.

I believe there are quite a bunch of high quality websites and resources for experienced investors out there, but not for beginners. We're working hard to come up with ways to make the crypto market more approachable by the moms and pops over time, as well as to serve intermediate/experienced investors who are looking for new opportunities in the market.

Our main feature is the scoring mechanism, and we're aiming to improve the algorithm over time in order to accommodate various situations.

In order to find out more about any cryptocurrency you have to do hours of research, most people don’t do this and they put themselves in a dangerous situation by investing in cryptocurrencies that have simply no solid foundation.

So we started CoinCheckup to give more transparency in all the crypto currencies out there. We started of by looking at the fundamentals, for instance:

* Ability to communicate with the team behind the Coin
* Team strength (background, previous accomplishments, leadership, team diversification, etc.)
* Advisors strength (background, previous accomplishments, etc.)
* Product strength (open source, transparency, status of the current product, etc.)
* Coin strength (consensus method, type of blockchain, role of the coin, etc.)
* Business strength (incorporation, website traffic, and the above)
* Community backing
* Activity on social media

To reiterate my purpose for being here: I'd like your feedback and thoughts, so we could better steer the project in a way that benefits everyone out there and strengthens the crypto market as a whole.

Please head over to https://coincheckup.com, spend a minute or two and let us know what you think.

Thanks in advance.

i wonder when we will get a cryptoindex that has the guts to run a completely different evaluation of marketcaps on completely different exchanges.

or even i wonder when will a movement begin that runs a completely new seperated market, its actually a just question of time, if technology will continue to be worldwide.

but nevertheless i am not using seeking to use glenns coinmarketcap.

Hi King Scorpio,

One of our mission is bringing transparency to the crypto-space, thus we have started an open-source project if you are interested in contributing: https://github.com/coincheckup/crypto-supplies

Otherwise for more specific suggestions, please use support@coincheckup.com

Thanks !

hy nice i actually like your cryptoindex more than coinmarket cap the design is awesome the filters are great, i give you merit for this topic,

i will list you on my website, many icos are tired with glens corupt coinmarketcap, he isnt even reachable in this forum, lets run a new indexing movement i will support you.

i will list your index a the top instead of coinmarketcap, which i dislike.

4743  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Supporting Families in Venezuela with Bitcoin on: July 27, 2018, 01:56:53 PM
Do your research before you post please. They already created their own currency : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petro_(cryptocurrency), called the The petro, or petromoneda.  Roll Eyes

The problem with that is that it is a Crypto currency developed by the government of Venezuela and we know they failed already, so why would people want to support that?

When governments control Crypto currencies, things like this happens :
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-venezuela-economy/maduro-says-venezuela-will-issue-5-9-billion-in-oil-backed-cryptocurrency-idUSKBN1EV02S

They also did this for the wrong reasons :
http://time.com/5206835/exclusive-russia-petro-venezuela-cryptocurrency/ <They did not do this to help their people, but rather to evade US sanctions>

Do you still believe that it is a good idea for governments to control Crypto currencies?

Wasn't sure if he actually meant a government-issued crypto, but if he did, the Petro is indeed a great example of what a shit-show that would be.

for value transfer there are many much better alternatives, like ethereum, zcash, btcash, you have to sell early then its not an issue.

even ripple which i dont like, is an alternative.

I still think Bitcoin would be the better choice for that, those other cryptos you've mentioned are much more volatile than Bitcoin and aren't accepted as widely.
I imagine you have very limited options for exchanging crypto in developing countries, so it's better to use Bitcoin.

This is really derailing the topic a lot, since it has nothing to do with the discussion at hand.
I'm just looking for ways to support individual families in Venezuela, that's it...

You are 100% correct. The other Alt coins he mentioned is total shit for this purpose. You want a coin with a good Store of

Value
and Bitcoin has proven that it can be a very good Store of Value. Unfortunately these people cannot afford to wait

for months for their investment in Bitcoin to be a good Store of Value, because most of them live from hand to mouth. They

need something with a more stable value and a lot less volatility. {This is why they are using the Dollar} The people that are

investing in Bitcoin, is those people who have disposable income that they would have deposited into a Bank. <Savings>

in a developing country i wouldnt bet on bitcoin, bitcoin and its pow concept is basically a fist into everyones face who lives in a poor developing country.

i am currently wirting an article about that with one of my teammembers.

https://www.cryptoproductivity.com/single-post/2018/05/30/Mark-Our-Words-On-next-food-price-crisis-the-empty-proof-of-woork-cryptos-like-bitcoin-litecoin-etc-will-be-the-welcome-scapegoat-everybody-is-looking-for-and-everybody-will-use-out-of-opportunistic-reasons

your problem is that you still define value in us dollars, but thats a falacy, the us dollar will crush and then bitcoin will be evaluate for what it stands for, a social media active energy wasting cryptosect. people will then threat you different, and you wont be able to find gamblers willing to gamble with bitcoin around, especially when the gambling banksters in the west that sustainably cause the bitcoin waves will be gone.

furthermore there will be new market movements, fragmentising away from your current market and index. let see how you will be able to deal with those.
4744  Economy / Economics / Re: So many cryptocurrencies ! on: July 27, 2018, 03:54:09 AM
There are 1624 currently active cryptocurrencies and more than 100 cryptocurrencies exchanges working right now in 2018.
With so many cryptocurrencies in the market Without regulations I feel there should be some body to legalize only a few , since its not like the more the merrier!
It just increases risks of any Fraud.
Small companies often are at a risk of shutting down with so tough competition.
The reason why the percentage of market Bitcoins dominates isn't exactly because they got less investors now , it's just because with so many currencies around the globe it's getting saturated and distributed .
Only some of them would be successful like 10-20 but with this tough competition it's risking people's investments and both these small small exchanges.
I strongly believe that a regulatory body should tackle this and then make a decision.
I think is negative in it's own way.
Share your opinions below , do you think it's positive ?

they all have the same legitimacy like bitcoin, not more and not less. and they all have same substance, there is actually and should actually be no privilege for bitcoin there is no reason for that.
4745  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Fundraising for Athens, which suffocates from recent Arsonists on: July 27, 2018, 12:28:57 AM
Hello BitcoinTalk community,

I am 24 years old and I reside in Greece. As you may all know, recently a huge piece of land was depleted by heavy fires caused by arsonists. Apart from all the damage caused in properties, and unfortunately lost lives, there is already a huge movement which demands that every single tree that was burned, will be immediately re-seeded. Greek goverment and multinational resort companies see that as a perfect change to sell now this land for some pennies in order to build more luxurious hotels, where as this piece of land was the last lung of oxygen for over 5,500,000 people. Yes, more than half of the greek population, lives in Athens.

I am in the crypto world for 1 year now and this is my first post at BTT. My idea is quite simple and follows: To raise whatever crypto capital possible, and buy the necessary equipment and raw material that many NGOs are asking from local people, in order to restore the forest before it is too late. If in 3 months, we manage to plant half of the forest that was burned, then next spring, it will be impossible for anyone to deforest it again by any means.

I will personally guarantee that I will keep posting pictures under this thread about our actions or furthermore you can ΡΜ for more elaborating information about our mission after the recent tragic news.

I have set up 2 different wallets for this fundraising. Any amount will be useful at these desperate times, where as greek society has to fight even more austerity measures against its own will and goverment.

Thank you all for having the time to read this text.

Nice try.! You didn't even bother up yourself on posting up some proofs or picture that would justify on the things you are talking on here and when you are already on crypto for 1 year posting 1st time on this forum is non-believable because I do strongly believe that we can easily access this forum if we are really interested on crypto and the thing you just register to post that kind of asking a donation?

No one would ever believe man and I would tell you such thing yet there are already lots of people tried out to make stories using up things to make it convincing but people are just smart not to fall easily.

there is a history post on steemit about the friendlyness and gratefulness within this forum community which people took note of and then scammers showed up that then started to scam and wreck this community trust in each other.

4751  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Is it really possible to raise a venture capital? on: July 26, 2018, 09:42:12 PM
Everyone tries to raise money via ICO campaign these days. Putting that aside, has anyone tried to get in touch with venture capitals and how does that actually work? I've came across a bunch of them focused specifically on blockchain projects.

Obviously, they must be out there for a reason but is it really possible to attract their attention assuming you have a decent project? Or maybe, most of them hunt for startups themselves?

Any first-hand info is highly appreciated.

venture capital work for the central bank of a country, they are desperate finding good enterpreneuers that deliver the population which supports the countries central bank and national institutions with economic capacities or at least entertainment.

however to really develop something nowadays, these people have fixed themselves to the established rich mainly lending them or giving them power, i doubt these venture capital and investmentbanking will survive for long.

historiclly ven capital. has been created to empower enterpreneuers in france, to improve economic output and fight economic shortages, which the french nobility caused, with their self centric lifestyle,
banks and property billionaires behave in the same neofeudal way today like the aristocrats in prerevolutionairy europe.

banks need trust, to survive and to work, but without trust they cant work, which is the current situation.

therefore we have this decentralisation cryptomovement.

I think it will also be nice if we can follow Paxful's example of how they stepped in to assist people who struggled with Bitcoin, when Backpage.com stopped accepting payment via Visa and MasterCard.

The people in Venezuela needs someone to help them to protect their current wealth from losing value and one of the ways of doing this is to convert it into a currency like Bitcoin that can be used as a store of value.

lol this forum is so full of idiots who think and speak without understanding and considering the bigger socioeconomic environment.

bitcoin will destroy their wealth even more because the socialist oriented infrastructure, workers will stop working, they will stop supplying their country men with elctricity or internet and simply create their own currency, the venzuelans will end up even poorer than before, if they abuse their socialist provided infrastrucutre for bitcoin mining.

are you even aware about the amount of labour necessary to upkeep a countries infrastructure to have internet and electricity?

-> you mine and support bitcoin in venezuella -> you will run out of infrastructure work in your community, no more socialism, no more electricity, no more internet.

venezuelans should instantly switch to stone paper or metal money if they even consider using bitcoin and screw the socialist infrastructure workers.

the socialist infrastructure worker in venezuella are not stupid programmed robots or money earning cattle, they are people like me and you, who think, trust and believe in a socialist vision, if they see, the infrastructure they were building being abused and wasted for mining bitcoin, like the russians did in early socialism (1918-1920) when they fed free socialist provided bread to their pigs, its over with socialism

get ready for king maduro of venezuella

Do not give a man a fish, rather teach him how to fish.  Wink

mining bitcoin isnt just fishing its also throwing with stones sitting in a house of glass.

This forum is full of people, who cannot read and then make political statements that are not even applicable to this discussion. I never even mentioned mining in my reply, so I do not see where you got that from. ^idiot^

I do not care what their political views are, whatever they are doing now, is definitely not working. Some of the poorest countries in the world, have these socialist ideals. ^lol^

I am speaking to the people who can see that this is not working and who wants to protect their wealth. <Like many other countries did, when their stupid politics, destroyed their currencies> Examples : Zimbabwe / Greece / Cyprus

their economy wont become better if you add an election via installed computation power. their economy will become worse, because then instead of using their infrastructure for development of values, they will waste it for mining "bitcoin" but there is no way to prevent that i suppose, they might be very selfish and idiotic and short term thinking, venezuelans are in that situation for a reason anyway.

You are still stuck on the mining thing for some reason.  Roll Eyes

Here is an example of what one of those citizens are doing to help those people and it has nothing to do with mining :
https://old.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/91r3eg/ama_venezuela/

You basically convert your local currency, in this case Bolivar to Bitcoin to protect it's value. You do not have to mine it, because there are enough out there already. <You just have to buy it>

Bitcoin can then protect the value more than the hyperinflation that are killing the Bolivar at the moment. So I hope you understand what we are trying to say here. This was done during the economic crisis to protect other currencies too, like Greece and Zimbabwe, when they also battled with similar problems.

yes the mining thing is important it makes the popularity of bitcoin in the developing world that suffer in their economy due to electricity shortages, absurd, they need currency that are being created through people solving their problems, not creating new ones or wasting ressources.

they dont need bitcoin, they can simply create their own local currencies.

They can create their own local currencies, you say? And how would those "local currencies" have value?
No, they need something that holds value on the international markets, even if it's just a temporary solution.

Oh come on, what you're saying doesn't even make sense. Bitcoin certainly isn't popular in the developing world because of the mining aspect, it's popular because it's way cheaper to transfer money, than Western Union for example.

for value transfer there are many much better alternatives, like ethereum, zcash, btcash, you have to sell early then its not an issue.

even ripple which i dont like, is an alternative.

Trump ist Anti-Establishment

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2017/mar/27/charles-schumer/does-trumps-cabinet-own-more-13-americans/
