Meh, another old player for the old lady if he comes.  Angry
Lol, Alexandre Lacazette is not too old, he is 29 and i think he has still got something left in the tank; on the transfer, for Arsenal this is not the time for them to lose their keys players, they are still trying to rebuild their team, i know Aubameyang remains their number one striker, but with rumors of his exit, they'll not want to lose Lacazette as well.

Juventus imo need a better striker than Lacazette (and Higuain as well) i don't know if Ronaldo will stay next season and even if he does, if he'll be able to perform very well, juve have been struggling of late, i think they need new (good) players, strikers included.
4762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Altcoins Failed To Win Over Bitcoin on: July 17, 2020, 08:26:20 PM
Now, what are the reasons behind this failure?
There are quite a lot: too many pump and dumps coins, project developers only out to reincarnate unsuccessful use cases for their coins, the ico doom and i can also add the fact many other forms of fundraising that came after, e.g ieo, didn't do better than their predecessors. I'm sure there are more reasons than this, but all of them have created the mindset in investors that altcoins are just as fake as a three-dollar bill, hence no need for diversification.

Although Ozil states that he is ready to be reduced, the opportunity to see himself returning to the field in the near future is likely to be difficult to realize, the article as reported by Goal, Mikel Arteta can not guarantee whether Ozil will be in the remainder of the 2019/20 season or not.
Mesut Ozil's situation at Arsenal is so confusing, you could look at the Arsenal squad, without too many quality players and wonder why Ozil doesn't play or at least make the matchday squad and prolly start on the bench and come on as a sub. Ozil was exquisite during his time in Madrid, and has also has a few good spells at Arsenal; IIRC, he was at one time in his career nicknamed the assist king, how has he gone from that to this?
4765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: July 17, 2020, 04:32:39 AM
Mine vote was also for Real Madrid as this season belong to them they done great job under Zidan and now next stop is Champions League where they will outclass Manchester City great team with great win hopefully next season could be more good as rival Barcelona is crashing badly and need some good time to settle things.
Congratulations to Real, they had a very good league season, especially in the few remaining games after the restart, and it was the most crucial time, any slip ups would have been costly, we saw how Barcelona dropped vital points to hand Madrid the title, you do that, and you can't be champions. If Zidane can now keep the team focused and united, i think Madrids time to dominate Spain again is here; that being said Florentino Perez should make sure Zidane stays this time Grin.

City are eyeing their first UCL, that makes them a dangerous opponent to anyone they face in the competition this season, imo, City will go through, not Madrid, they have a good goal scoring record at the Etihad, and they go into that 2nd leg with two away goals already, it will be too difficult for Madrid to turn around.

Would I continue to buy bitcoin this way?  No, absolutely not.  I paid $50 for exactly $40 of bitcoin, and that just isn’t worth it, since I never have a dire need for crypto such that high, and I think the future of bitcoin ATMs is going to hinge on those fees being lowered.
I too may also not be using bitcoin ATM's (because of the Tx fees and i'd have to travel miles to use one in my country for now) but that'll be after my first successful attempt/experience; i think as a bitcoin enthusiast, trying a btc ATM at least once is an experience we should have. Just reading your topic, i already feel like wanting to use one; my country recently launched her first bitcoin ATM and it's in a different state from mine, and I've not visited there for over two years or so, i may prolly make something up just to go there and try it out, gosh now I wish I had an e-bike Grin

The economic problems have got nothing to do with the virus. The virus is just being used to collapse economies that are no longer viable due to toxic debt.
It prolly means the same thing imo, the virus isn't crumbling the economy directly, it's the measures taken to curtail the spread of the virus that has led to economic collapse; that being said, whichever way it's put, the virus is the causal factor/root cause of the current economic collapse. The US and some other world powers i'm sure have a viable economy, but despite that, their economy has still experienced downturn due to covid-19, though it's the countries with more debts and a poorer economy that has suffered most, but with none left out.

As Bayern Munich and Man. City deal after signing Leroy Sane, Man. City reported will bringing Alaba to the club. but in other rumors, City doesn't want Alaba but they want Kingsley Coman.
If i was in charge of transfers at City, i would take Alaba rather than Coman; Kingsley is good, young and also very fast, but imo it's city's defense than needs new sets of players, the central defence most especially and also at left back, because Benjamin Mendy has been atrocious on many occasions, and they cannot continue to rely on Zinchenko as back up.

Alaba will tighten things up at left back for city and put Mendy on his toes, that'll also give pep the option of playing Zinchenko in his favourite position, which isn't left back. Coman wouldn't change much for City in attack, they already have so much prowess in their front men of Sterling, Mahrez, B.silva, Foden, Aguero and the rest.

Please, I want to ask  question
1. How can we fully avoid scam in such a way not only us we not be affected but people around is too?
Securing yourself is one of the concerns people have with cryptocurrencies, you cannot avoid scam for people around you, you can't even be sure of what people around you are doing at every time that exposes them to scams, be it participating in fake giveaways, registering on websites that ask for their private keys etc. What you can do though is to tell people the ways they can get scammed and hope they follow through with the learning on their own, but securing them by your own actions is not possible.
2. What can we do to let people in the whole world know about scam and avoid?
I'd tell them about btt, it has helped me to avoid scams.
4771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think online casinos can effectively prevent underage gambling? on: July 14, 2020, 06:56:22 PM
How can we make sure that kids are not exposed to gambling at a very early stage
The casinos can't do anything, whatever they do, can easily be bypassed, it's the same for mature websites you have to click "Yes I'm 18+" to continue using the site, can that stop anyone who's below that age from proceeding, they would simply click on it, and to be fair, the website have done their own part.

As for gambling in this case, I believe interacting with the kid at an early age about it is prolly the best shot in curbing the addiction. There are alot of things parents do not talk to their children about, they end up learning it outside, from their peers and with obviously no control. So if parents teach their children at a very tender age on what gambling is all about and the cons involved, plus when the time will be right for then to try it out if they wish, then it could be effective.
4772  Economy / Economics / Re: Rising tensions and effect on global trade on: July 14, 2020, 06:32:53 PM
Is the end of the trade war the beginning of the military war?
I would not completely rule that out, though I'm also not insinuating that every trade war culminates into war between troops of the respective countries, but the tensions between the US and China is on a whole different level. I don't think trump has been vocal against any country since he became president like he has with China, the animosity between the both countries is building up so fast, the other time we saw united states cut fundings from the WHO and accusing them of working with China in downplaying the virus, till we got to this stage.

It could get to a point when trade wars, open vocal attacks and every other type of vituperations would no longer be enough, then what next, a military attack, very well could.
4773  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Human trials of corona virus vaccine on: July 14, 2020, 06:18:26 PM
I think this has now become an international business and any country which might successfully develop a vaccine would surely sell it at such prices and make it most advantageous to them. I often see in news everyday like Italy has developed vaccine, Germany developed etc etc, I don't think it's going to be this quick and we shouldn't really trust on any such news for the time.
I also hinted at the commercialization process in the op, if it's possible that a vaccine produced in any country is going to be successful, then it's also a very effective way to make money from it, and this will help their economy to prolly recover faster than others, as you'd imagine, there will be a huge demand for it, and that demand will cost money for it to be supplied all around the world.

Imo, it's not a bad business to say the least, the thing is, just as many users have touched on in this thread, is if a vaccine can be trusted and how many willing people will want to take a shot, not many I'd think.

it’s just been few months since they started the research, and normally a vaccine takes up to 10 year’s to be completed, hence I won’t be taking it even if it launches by this year’s end.
The production of a covid-19 vaccine is prolly moving faster than it should when it comes to the expected time it should take in making a vaccine; but imo scientists are working faster because the world atm is in need of a solution to corona virus asap, and tbh, social distancing, wearing of face masks, lockdowns have not done too much good in stopping the spread of the virus, the more reason i think we'll not have to wait that long (10yrs or so) for a covid-19 vaccine, or we would have to stay locked down for years.
4776  Other / Politics & Society / Human trials of corona virus vaccine on: July 13, 2020, 03:58:35 PM
There is news emerging from Russia that a covid-19 vaccine being developed in the country has passed the phase of human trial, an excerpt of the news reads thus:
Quote
Elena Smolyarchuk, chief researcher for the Russian Center for Clinical Research on Medications at Sechenov University, told TASS newswire on Sunday that human trials for the vaccine had been completed and those test patients will be discharged soon.
This news cannot come quicker for countries that are yet to reach their peak and still losing countless numbers of their citizens to corona virus daily. How reliable can this information coming out from Russia be, and if it indeed is true, what does it mean to the world at large and how do you envisage the commercialization process of the vaccine.

4777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: July 13, 2020, 09:25:02 AM
Aaaand now that the decision has been made by the CAS and city will play in the UCL next season, doesn't it make it top four battle a lot more interesting and competitive Grin

Now there are two slots available, no longer three because fifth place now goes to the Europa league and not the UCL anymore. So which teams (2) do you think has the capacity to complete the four heading for Europe next season: United, Chelsea, Leicester or maybe even Wolverhampton?
4778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: July 12, 2020, 10:03:46 AM
Manchester United vs Southampton which I think could go either way. Southampton are playing great football so far but United are also not playing bad either after restart.
It's only just Southampton, but it's a big test for Manchester United, prolly one of the biggest for them since the epl restarted, the Saints have been winning games and Danny Ings has been scoring lots of goals as well (19 in the epl) United have also been doing the same with their star man Bruno, flying high. If man u can win, then could prolly have the edge and momentum to finish above Chelsea and Leicester.
Regarding 100 points one, they have some tough opponents in remaining matches. They have to face Arsenal away and Chelsea at Anfield. Chelsea is looking for at least top 4 finish and with last loss against Sheffield United they will not be looking for anymore lose of points now.
They need seven points from their remaining three matches to get the century points, that's about two wins and a draw; i think Liverpool will achieve that, i predict a draw when they play Chelsea and a win in the other two games for them.

4780  Economy / Economics / Re: Biggest winner during COVID? on: July 11, 2020, 08:30:22 PM
is it corporate medical industry who are charging abnormous fee for treatment
With thousands of front line workers dead worldwide due to corona virus, is there any win for the medical industry, they have prolly lost the most during this pandemic. I have also not heard of hospitals charging covid-19 patients high (or any) fees for treatment.
or else a particular regime who is silently buying stakes of major groups at lower price during this situation?
Stocks, bitcoin and so many other assets fell when the virus shed it's milk teeth, but they have recovered since then, prolly people who had enough cash for their needs bought back then and made profits thereafter, but AFAIK, more people panicked and were rather selling off.
Do you think this was a man-made virus to destabilize the world's economy and buy huge shares so that a vaccinations can be rolled out once the enough damage is made ?
Why would they do so when they are also not immune to the virus and can contract it and also die.
