I hate how Google pay asks to turn on location just to pay a bill or make a transfer.
Maybe for your security because we all know it is much easier to hack bank accounts in India so people who are sending money by using VPN to hide their identity may get blocked due to often change in the location. I doubt it. I think they just want to collect location info to 'improve' their products. |

If there is a clean path from RBI now , Do you think bitcoins and crypto activities are soon going to start in India at a huge level ?  If you keep tracking the main discussion board then you will get what is the actual situation going on now related to crypto in India.SC lifted ban imposed by RBI but there is a bill draft is under evalutation by government of India so if they pass that bill then Bitcoin will be completely illegal in India and if anyone found using them later will be charged fine amount upto 25 crores. I would deem India as worst country next to NK if that bill ever passes. |

It is also funny how media never complaints about Jio's shameless switch from the "Lifetime free" to "chargeable" model.
Not just jio, every operator charges some rs monthly to even receive incoming calls. Meanwhile they all marketed themselves as 'lifetime free' one time or another. |

Most of the phishing attacks could be avoided if people uses their common sense a bit.
When you are getting an advertisement says 90% offer for a well demand product means this is complete scam but in India, even the people who are educated are losing their money for such kind of scams and they even give their card details while making payment which could make your bank account to be emptied in minutes.
Most people learn about scams after they experience it firsthand. And that's literally why scams never end, there is always someone to phish for. |

No section simply transfer of Bitcoin would be covered under Capital gains as the sales consideration is easily determinable in that scenario. 50D is for calculating Sales Consideration in certain scenario if it's not clear in the transaction. When you receive an inbound transaction of BTC then it's better to directly check the source of that Income. Attribute the correct source and then note the Value on that date. Because if some signature campaign provider paid you xxx btc he might be having certain dollar amount in mind. So better take INR value of BTC on the date you receive it and show it as your income. Suppose, you did some work and when you received the BTC it's value was 1 lac, and when you actually sold it was 3 lac. So how do you pay on it? Is it under capital gains or in business income? |

India could partner with stellar, that crypto is top notch, cross-border transactions at negligible costs, easily convert from one fiat to another. Rather than Bitcoin, i think stellar could do very well.

I find it well, should i call stupidity? To store customer funds in a web wallet, a WEB WALLET? Not a ledger, not multi sign and i bet there was no insurance either - 0 security to customer funds.

No wallet is perfect in recommending perfect gas price, neither etherscan's eta confirmation times. I go with regular gas price, and my transactions get confirmed within a minute or two, even tho etherscan say 13 mins.

I registered yesterday, sign up form only asked for email and uname, now today when i try to login, it asks for uname and password, which it never asked to set up, neither there was any verification email. How does it work? |

I had taken a part in mew competition, and won ledger (+some other goodies), i received mine without any trouble (although parcel was bit fiddled with), the other guy i met online said his parcel was seized.
