4781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spanish League Prediction Thread (La Liga) on: January 12, 2016, 11:07:58 AM
There are two games today for Copa del Rey: Deportivo La Coruna vs Mirandes and Sevilla vs Real Betis. What do you think? IMO Deportivo can win today easily. Deportivo La Coruna ML @ 1.740

Deportivo La Coruna vs Mirandes: Deportivo will win.
Sevilla vs Real Betis: Sevilla is favorite, but there is the risk of draw, maybe under 2.5 or 3.5 if the odds are decent?

Good picks man: I agree with your analysis but I would need more games to make a good bet slip and I think I will add the only Ligue 1 game plus some UK championship ones.

Can you give any reference about what that infographic shows? I am genuinely asking because I'd be interested in reading more about it.
4783  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Reddit’s science forum banned climate deniers. on: January 12, 2016, 10:59:32 AM
Actually, from the humidity, wind, and temperature record presented, it certainly does look like "front passage."  By the way, a more accurate number would be to go from (say) 12 noon one day, to 12 noon the next.  Or max min for the 2 days.  As presented there is likely 5C error in the range due to differing times.

By the way, you certainly can use statistical variance to determine significant variation from climatic norms.  All the records are available to do this, at least in the USA I know.  You can just use the last 30 years, that should be fine.

You know, even without all the scientific stuff, weather became rather crazy gotta admit that. Never had a winter like that truly xD

So don't know if it's mankind fault or not, but there is still something coming. And I don't think burning our fuel is helping reducing it!

Btw, you didn't answer on the heat produces by us compared to the sun, I'm still sure it's not that low you know?

I totally agree with you: humans are disturbing this planet's stability but... as George Carlin said once Nature will take its chance to regulate itself again.

4784  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 12, 2016, 10:54:14 AM
I see a lot of chaos coming and this strange stability always puts me on alarm mode. My deepest concern is how things move damn fast in the bitcoin trading world: I don't want to ask myself the question "Where did it all go wrong?"
4785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 12, 2016, 10:39:39 AM
AFAIK Juventus ahs a better team compared to Napoli, they have much more replacements that can be useful to the cause. Napoli without Gonzalo Higuain is doomed to failure!

Can the public know how many devs this coin has? It seems someone enters this coin every now and then.
I would like to read more about the weaver, where can I find some more info?
Why don't you have an internet site for god's sake  Grin

4 developers, full time - Spencer Lievens, Matthew Langdon, Amir Abrams, Gregory Betz (in order of joining)

1 developer, work hand-in-hand - Alistair Clark a.k.a Infernoman i.e. Transfercoin

2 freelancers, whenever needed - Sakr (Mobile Applications) and Wolf0 (Algorithms/Programming)

current git ignored, no tx yet.
and master issues still there.
i have my own working one, but i dont want to mess up your development.
conf rule.. fix it.
so i am waiting you guys to get this UP! and BIG..

ps. orphan rules are outdated and stalled rules has to time to correct.

still the best coin i have ever seen, ( when it is ready)

Thank you Cisa, if only the non-code literate could realise the depth and technicality of DarkSilk Cheesy

if people could read the code.. they would see this will outdate btc ,dash and all the pos coins.
but there is still road to move on..

Aren't you going a bit far with this comment? Let's wait and see what this coin can do and let's stick to the ground for now. It has to go public to show its value: words are meaningless here  Wink

4787  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stamp is Leading BTC.....That means DUMPAGE! on: January 12, 2016, 10:33:43 AM
Never heard about stamp. Is this a shorthand for the real name of the exchange?

Does not seem there is going to be a big dump either. Price is going a little bit down, but slowly, and hope it goes up again soon.

It is shorthand - "stamp" is Bitstamp.

Edit: I'm sure Stamp was leading when this was first posted, but a couple of hours later Finex was back ahead, same with Huobi. Temporary glitch rather than dumpage. Panic long since over.

Yes sorry Stamp is Bitstamp we call it this way and I always forget there can be people who are not used to it.
After this thread started I followed Bitstamp volume a little closer but I did not see much worth to be noticed.

http://www.coindesk.com/unconfirmed-report-5-million-bitstamp-bitcoin-exchange/

Stamp was hacked really bad: wallets compromised, servers compromised, users trust compromised. I really don't know how they got up again. After that I did not consider Stamp a good exchange. So whatever happens to it I don't care

Ok. So Bitstamp was hacked, and robbed. And their books may or may not be balanced today as a result.

However, that was then and his is now.

Earlier today, some way dumped around 2K BTC, by dropping little 100 BTC bundles in Ask Wall. This was not a hacker. This was somebody with BTC to sell on the main cash out exchange. The $64K question is, is that him done, or has he simply took the foot of the gas, in order not to tank the market and allow support to build?

Whatever the case is, the RISK IS ON, in trading BTC at the moment......so I am out.

Man, the risk is always out there. These are not regulated exchanges! they can do whatever they want with your money when you send some to them.
This is why I don't use them. I use Bitcoin where they value them for what they are.

4791  Economy / Gambling / Re: HYIP = Gambling on: January 11, 2016, 09:23:14 AM
Once again: don't invest in HYIPs and if you really do be prepared to lose everything. Another thing: usually they pay very low amounts while if you put big money into them you 'll lose them all.
No HYIP will make you rich! You are going to lose hard earned bitcoin.
4792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 11, 2016, 09:20:38 AM
I watched Inter playing in the last couple of months: they were leading serie A without even knowing why. They play defense and they win by one goal and so I think the don't have a say in this league.
Napoli and Juve will battle for the Italian title.

Thanks a lot for your answer and I think you replied to my other question here

Sorry I cannot find any information how Darksilk will be executed. Could you point to any white paper or homage where I find condensed information instead of this giant progress-thread.

Will you burn Silk to get Darksilk or is Darksilk a new start with initial mining with no connection to old Silkcoin?

Best regards
Oneoff

The whitepaper is due to be edited to be brought in-line with the code that is also about to be changed a bit too.

https://t.co/iUddqRZ5N8

Fundamentally the whitepaper is correct but some figures need changing and the PoW period is not for a set period, it is indefinate for DarkSilk.

Silk replaces Silkcoin, 1:1 swap, indefinite time period as not everyone will be aware and Silkcoin has a HUGE amount of users dotted all over.

DarkSilk, completely new coin, one to take out the competition. The code will talk for itself. Argon2d algo, GPU only (no CPU to stop botnets).

Weaver platform. Basically imagine everything you need, in one place, everything. If it isn't there it is either being developed and being added or hasn't been thought of.

Long term I see the Weaver platform growing. I realise it is a big platform full of various systems already, but in my eyes, at launch, this is nothing, compared to what is coming.

Ok, I might invest in silkcoin soon. I saw trading is available on Poloniex, I'll follow it. Thanks

The last crime boss that Sean Penn had an interview with before El Chapo didn´t fare so well. Rest in peace Tony  Grin

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xrfpy1_rescuing-tony-killing-tony-part-3-from-carlito-s-way-1993_shortfilms

Holy crap! I did not know that! That's not a good precedent if we can say it, however I'm very curious about what the US will do to Sean Penn if they will do something or if everything will naturally slip under the carpet.
4795  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 'Mission accomplished': Mexican President says 'El Chapo' caught on: January 10, 2016, 08:47:45 PM
Nothing will change after this, everything will be the same.
Someone else will replace 'El Chapo', government will not show real determinations and will to stop this criminals but will use this event to show that they are doing something, and average people will still suffer.
I predict that he will escape prison again, very soon Smiley

El Chapo said it himself and to me he made a very intelligent comment to the actual situation: there will always be drug abuse and drug demand simply because it is a huge business.

Now Sean Penn will probably will face the consequences of his action by being part of the aformentioned interview: I don't see what's the problem with it.
4796  Economy / Gambling / Re: HYIP = Gambling on: January 10, 2016, 08:43:55 PM
You could easily notice how these HYIPs are most of the times created by the same scammers, they only change name and domains but they are always the same scammer. They use the same sites and the same platforms.
Don't trust HYIPs rating sites: they're paid only to let you fall into the trap. You have been warned

Bitcoin Halving Party 2016: hilarious!  Grin
There will be no partya as I see it, there will be less BTC mined and our coins should value more hopefully. Once we also solve the block size debate Bitcoin will continue to be the best cryptocurrency around. And when we will launch the rocket to the sky then you guys may celebrate. Not before.

4799  Economy / Speculation / Re: should i go 50/50 with gold and bitcoin? on: January 10, 2016, 08:23:40 PM
It's because of gold that I came to know Bitcoin and therefore I will never disinvest my gold savings but, of course, knowing the rising value and appeal of BTC I started accumulating some. As many other people said the best thing is to have a mixed portfolio. There's a lot of studying that comes into place when one decides to start investing and I would say that studying and learning about these markets is mandatory to have a better financial future.
4800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 10, 2016, 08:17:32 PM
Strangest Serie A day ever seen since I'm following the Italian major league. All teams playing home today lost as you correctly noticed! It was basically impossible to win today, my parlay got destroyed.  Angry
