4781  Other / Off-topic / Re: Pump and dump discord groups (how to protect yourself & profit) on: January 23, 2019, 09:28:53 PM
Pump and dumps are a ponzi game. The owners of the group will gain over the back of others who will be new bagholders of a shitcoin.

This is true in most of the cases , but P&D signal pump has an affiliate system which allows you to gain a time advantage if you bring more members to the group

Ah, so refer people to be scammed?  Nice.

I agree but the thing is new users who end up here from for ex. Google searches don't know that is the case so maybe a banner that ONLY SHOWS to unregistered forum viewers that says something like:

"SIGN UP FOR A FREE ACCOUNT IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO SEE USERS TRUST RATINGS.  BE SAFE AND DON'T SEND ANYONE BTC WITHOUT THIS FREE BENEFIT"

That would avoid having to show the trust ratings plus maybe get more registered users.

If we are dealing with the lower end of the intelligence scale, a warning should be of consequence, not of proper procedure.

How about:
"DO NOT EXPRESS GULLIBILITY (SUCH AS RELIGION) OR YOU WILL BE TARGETED BY SCAMMERS AND LOSE YOUR COINS"

I feel like blockchain apps except bitcoins are not mature yet, i.e., they have higher costs than traditional web solutions. So I want to build a web app which is a mixture of bitcoin and traditional web technology.

I'm not sure that you understand they are different.  Web solutions serve one purpose; blockchain another.

What advantages does the blockchain bring to social media?

I know this has been discussed before but I think a newbie user who found this forum on a Google search needs to be able to see a users trust BEFORE creating an account.

You can install this free chrome extension that will show you everyone's default trust score.

How much money is the government going to spend to fake the lunar eclipse tomorrow night?  Any flattard that ventures out of their basement will be able to see the eclipse for themselves.

BTW there's 24 hour light in Antarctica during the summer because it's close to the concave mirror and the light wraps around, there is no 24 hour Sun like there is in the Arctic. The Sun scrolls across the horizon like a 2D video game for some hours then goes out of sight while it travels around.

This same effect is observable in Australia to all-be-it to much lesser extent, you can see the sideways motion of the sunlight just before sunrise and just after sunset there.

What I see with my own eyes disproves you.  Have you ever seen the sun set?

I think the admin is a very arrogant person, not serving Members with cold hearts, is this what the forum says?
Admin must serve member complaints if they have such a big mistake.

I think you forget the admin must serve a lot of users, and most of them communicate poorly.

The good news - when we're colonizing Mars, they will be left behind to talk to themselves in basements, never looking at the stars even once.

Looks like something I threw up after drinking and eating too much corn.  :/
4790  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you survive an apocalypse? on: January 16, 2019, 06:52:32 PM
The hypothetical situation is this, starting right now: if you leave your house/apartment in the next 30 days you will die. Electricity and water will be turned off.

Water will be the big issue, you will need 1 liter or 0,25 gallon a day to survive. You will probably survive without eating but it would not be pleasant. How would you cope and what would you do?

Considering 99+% of people don't store 30 days of food or water, most people would die.

Show me physical evidence of gravity bro.

Put a rope around your neck and jump off a chair.  Of course, you will only do that if you really believe gravity doesn't exist.  Smiley

So by looking at the sky you can see earth is a sphere ?

You can see it's not the model the flattards believe.

if you think the earth is flat, I think you should go back to school

"Back" to school?

Anyone who doesn't already know the earth is a sphere has never left their house to look at the sky.

Gravity is unprovable

Toss a ball in the air and catch it.  Gravity proven.

Try it as many times as you want.  Smiley

@vod could you do something on your site?

Posts since merit system/merits received = meritworthyness?

No, I do not have a record of old posts.
4796  Economy / Reputation / Re: Just learned that I am now a DT2 member. Please advise on: January 14, 2019, 05:48:42 PM
For my first question, is it cool to give positive trust for transactions that I am not personally involved in?

I have left 1,845 negative trust ratings for profiles I am not personally involved with.

You don't need to be scammed to recognize a scammer.

Thank you and God bless you

Hmm, do you really think your god will listen to someone who can't keep his wife satisfied?   :/
4798  Other / Off-topic / Re: Suicide? on: January 14, 2019, 05:15:13 PM
Sometimes things around us look gloomy and make us depressed with lack of hope of getting out. Suicide sometimes become a thought and easy way out. Have you felt like committing suicide before?

Suicide is a viable method of ending early that more people are going to take advantage of in the coming years.   There are only two things you should consider before you commit suicide.

1) It's a permanent solution to a temporary problem.  Don't commit suicide unless you have wanted to for a considerable time.  Most depressed feelings pass.

2) Do not take any innocents with you.

Coulombs Law is testable, measurable established science. Gravity on the other hand is un-testable, un-measurable bullshit

So you have never leaned forward and moved your foot to catch yourself as gravity pulled you down?

Watch people walk on TV then.  It will blow your mind.  Smiley

TheFuzzStone, can you name your 25 favorite entomologists?

How do you expect a person just learning a topic to choose who to trust?
